Yaaaaaaaaaayyyyy!   FINALLY back on-line!!   Feel like I''ve been gone for a month!   Welcome to the new names posting!!!   Hope you enjoy the HTL as much as I do--Dorothy--we'll find us a special corner of the lounge where we can smoke!!!

DH has given the ulltimatim that the dumpster will be picked up on Wed--I still have lots to go through and throw out but have felt too crappy to do much.   At least the big stuff is gone; what's left can go out bit by bit for normal trash pick up.  Our extra bedroom, formerly known as the computer/junk room is just totally gawgeeeous!   The new computer work station is totally perfect and we both love it.  DH said it had 159,000 parts to put together, but he did a great job!!!   I have new curtains to hang but that can wait a few days.   I cannot believe that we have gone through this process without one major argument!!!  Should have taken a before and after pic, but suffice to say that prior to the purge, you could open that door and get to the desktop computer.   Could not get to closet or anywhere else because of all the boxes and crap and junk.....now, that closet is basically empty and the only things in the room are the new work station (half the size of the old one and sooooo much nicer!! a book case that I'm still weeding things out, and a small file cabinet!   I am happy!!!)

Doctor put me on a new antibiotic today.   Not sure I've had it before and hope I don't have a reaction.   I'm to take it for 10 days.  Keep all your fingers crossed that this finally knocks this sinus crap--I am so tired of feeling so miserable!!!!

It is raining pretty hard here just now--Wahine, get ready--it always seems to come your way!   Lori--LOL--am gonna say the S word because I really want to see how the new wheels do in the snow on our steep, curvy "mountain" roads!  DH is happy because he can now get his new car in the garage!!!

Son's surgery was postponed--some malfunction in the OR.   He is bummed; was all psyched to get it over and done.   He has 2 hernias and while not major big-time stuff, he had a bad experience several years ago with a hernia operation.

Whew!!!   Happy BD to Beans!!!    Heading out poolside in just a second--sounds like a big ruckus going on.   Hope I'm in time to see the hunky guy pop out of the cake!   I am soooooo ready to PAR-TAY!!!!   Heading for the buffet first--gotta take this new med with food!

Lots of fun new "toasts".....will have to re-read tomorrow because I'm not sure whether to end them in an S or a Z !!!!      So, will just say Bottoms Up to old friends and new friends.    BARMEN!!!!!

Junie....make sure you err on the side of tossing out too much.  Major congrats on the purge.

I left my ex husband with the "stuff".  Was so thrilled to move beyond this.  HOWEVER, time to do another one.  Not quite ready yet, as need a stable "look" to know what to keep, what goes.

Can't wait for the day though.

Major, major liberating.  Will hoist my glass of cab to that. - Claire

Wowsa, what a party! Kathy, I just searched those pictures. Dorothy actually posted them and they weren't showing up. And I just needed to know what they were. NM's that didn't show up was a guy in a hammock and 2 kitties, one giving the other a massage.

Dororthy, I don't think you can copy and paste if you use Firefox. I think NM was doing that at one time, then switched to IE and it worked.

I am late getting going today, because of that awesome party. But it was worth it. Junie, glad to have you back, just wish you were feeling better. Good grief woman! Kathy hope your tootsie is healing and HD (Ms Nun) where are you? Are you feeling better?

No snow here yet, but it was 12 degrees this morning! Brrrrrrrrr

Brrrrrrr is right Lori! Sooooo cold! Well junie, we are getting your rain right now.Started out really strong, so don't know what we are in for today. Glad I got some outside work done yesterday, but was hoping to do some more before the rain got here. B4 I got out of bed, it sounded like someone had a fire hose going, against my window. Of course, I thought of our firemen *sigh*, but it was just rain! Lori, my toe still hurts and I still have it taped to the next toe (since its the baby).....tried to wear house shoes last night, but was too sore in that. Hope it is ok by next weekend for our long flights. Some people wear flip flops (I call them slippers) when flying, but it looks tooooo casual to me. However I may be tempted to do that this time.....lol.

Nice to have junie back, except *thanks* (sarcastically) for the rain! Your new desk and purged room sound really nice. Also hope the new antib's will work....sounds like that infection just settled in and doesn't want to leave.Maybe it likes ML's too much? Take it easy for awhile if you can, to let your body heal. WB!!!

Stanzie, where are you? Worries me that Liesl might be worse, so please check in with us when you can. Hope everything is okay!

Thanks Dorothy (and Lori for posting them) for the pics.....some awesome guys to look at.

Hope everyone can function today after Beans party last night!

Even the fur babies got into it:

    AStorm trying to study.....

Drinks were so strong, some of even saw the Beatles in our pool:

Happy Tuesday to my Breast Friends!

The snow is over, and woke up to the most glorious morning.  Colder today than any time last season so hiking boots time.  Wore those last night, and was glad for them.

Right now, I can see the snow-covered Olympic Mountains and dark, choppy waters of the Sound as very windy.  Breathtaking.

Time for hot tea to get going as have tons to do today.

A friend just sent me a video of her dog playing in the snow yesterday.  Such fun.

I just discovered another serious side effect of treatment.  I also don't want to forego good things that are a bit pricey.  So bought that super-delish pancake mix last night.  I am thinking blueberry waffles to fuel myself for some of my activities.  So not just for guests any more.  Also supports a biodynamic grains growing outfit in WA state.  I have bought this before, and the waffles were that good.  Sometimes, I add pecans.   Really yum.

    Yes.....

I have used them before, and beyond yummy.  Waffles are a wonderful treat for guests, as spectacular and incredibly easy.  As a bit of other local color, I got my waffle iron at Value Village.

Can you believe this glorious day!!!!

From our warm home and big windows looking out at the city and Mt. Rainer, it is indeed glorious. One step outdoors though...and not so much :)  I love looking out and seeing the trees with just enough snow to make them beautiful, yet not weigh them down too much.

Yes, I love Bluebird products as well, especially the farro.  We use their milled rye flour for bread as well.  I hope you don't wait for guests, Claire - you deserve such treats for yourself as well :)

I don't get to good old Value Village as much since the kids are all grown up.

Stay warm and be sure to put on your cleats before venturing out!

    Hey girls,

I had a blast at the party last night but lets not run out of JD ever again.  tell the barkeepers to always have at least 6 liters of JD in the house!!

Wahine, you are a freakin' hoot with the pics and your comments, I am cracking up and not even drinking <YET>. I loved the Beatles but I did not see them. Hopefully I can get more blasted this evening and God only knows what I will see.

Goldie, I was using explorer but not sure how on earth you resurrected by boys but kudos to you.  I am still not up to speed with this whole posting pics and how they come out but do thank my expert and favorite titty sister for her help in showing me the tree.

Claire, enjoy that snow, it is mild here, currently at 56 degrees.  I may have to break out my bathing suit and float in the puddle on my pool cover. I am really into showing off my new girls, TE's nonetheless, but they sure are pretty. This time next week they will be bigger. I could come to WA and use them as a sled, well someone else could!!. Oh yeah, I am in love with my twins, I have been called obsessed. One was abducted by my PS but he gave me a new and better set two weeks ago.

Junie, hello and thanks for the warm welcome. I can relate to the extra bedroom thing in a large way.  Mine was quite the obstacle course in getting to the closet and to the back of the room.  We call it the vanity room or junk room. Only have a vanity, a set of dressers and a cabinet in the room.  With the help of my dear blood sister, we tore it apart last week and donated four bags of clothes, shoes, linens etc to charity.  It feels so good walkiung around the room for the first time in years.  Funny how I am so motiavated now that I am just weeks away from returning to work. My home is in better shape than it has ever been.  Oh, almost forgot to say  I hope you feel better. My ADHD is kicking in, I am all over the place here.

Gawd, I slept like a baby last night after leaving the lounge. I think the Tattie Tenders were mixing mine so fine but the bottle ran out. I would not believe when the Tender told me I'd drunk it all up and he had never seen a gal drink so much JD in one sitting.  Oh my, I am already drooling for another and I practically just woke up. I am such the slacker these days, boy I can sleep.  Not a one hot flash last night.  I think the bee honey and one-a-day menopause are starting to help. For any of you that are flashin', try it, I have definately felt a change for the better.

I can't post a pic here as I forgot to get onto explorer and can't copy this text here.  But I shall search high and low for the right pic.  Speaking of high, do we smoke medicinally marijuana at the Lounge?? hahaha!! Everything is medicinal for this old gal!!!

    Tittys up, all.

Lots of Peace n love to my new "breast friends"

    (thanks for that one Kathy).

A lot of our stuff ENDS UP at Value Village....lol!! When the "Purple Heart" truck comes around to pick up donations, thats where it goes. My DD goes there sometimes, and sees stuff they have donated! They prob don't pay the Purple Heart org very much, but at least its a good cause.

Looking out at rain, rain, and more rain. Pretty soon our mountain will look like Mt. Rainy! Enjoy the mtn views in WA, girls! DL just changed our flight returning from AK in January, and might have a SIX HOUR layover at SEATAC. May have to do a red-eye flt to have closer connections, but hate to venture out in the cold of AK at that hour!!! Sunny HI in December is looking more and more inviting!

From wet and wild AL, I send you CHEERS!

P.S. Dorothy, Missed your post till after I posted mine. You are sooooo funny! OF COURSE medical maryjane is good here....esp in brownies....anyone remember thosezz? Will def have more JD for you, and will have them stock more ASAP. Send me a PM about the hot flash remedy stuff, puleez! After getting off hormone therapy when I got bc, they have been vicious! I love my new boobs too.....better than the old ones! Ciao!

I hope not to offend anyone.  It says 8 million served.  Can we please have this McD's added to our Lounge?
