Oh Bonnie,so sorry to hear that! Hope they catch the SOB's, and that his car is not damaged. That sucks. Have  tons of drinks today.....Pants, please take care of Bonnie today....don't let her glass get empty. You might also want Jocks to give you a massage by the pool......with a long straw you can drink at the same time. Hope he gets his car back!

Hi Bonnie - I am also sorry about your son being victimized, that sux big time. I hope they find the perps. And when they do, be sure to let us know, we can mess that person up bigtime!

I can meet you at the pool today, say 4pm? Its a massage for me in 20 minutes by the one and only Jocks. He told me he has you down for later, enjoy, thanks Kath for hooking her up. I see pants out there, I need a fill, will send you one of what you are having too. It is time for me to primp for my massage!

    Ta-ta and tits up!

Hi all you drunkin wenches!  What a party.  Lori got so drunk she thought I was a nun?  Honey....didn't you study pilgrims and Plymouth Rock as a child. I have a habit all right, however, it is not a good one.  Our town shut down today.  No work. no school, no anything.  Second time in 20 years I got a snow day from work.  So, Dorothy, could you spare jocks or pants for a quick massage for my cold and tired body?  I would so appreciate it.  Right now....I am adjusting the heating pad and my preparing for happiness hours.  To many posts to reply to all individually.  Whiskey, Waffles, and Wine!  HD.
P.S.  Beans....you seriously need to slow down on your parties.  They are going to start profiling our lounge!  LOL!

DorothyK - I couldn't agree with you more that this is a fun place! I love the pics you posted!!! The Christmas tree is so big and cheerful, and the birthday cake tasted fantastic, yum yum yum!!!!! LOL at the hot flash chica! (still haven't had that, but s'pose it's just a mattR of thyme). I was so excited I was wrestling with that guy for who would pop out of a cake - I guess I must have passed out n he won! But now wait just a minute...you turned 50? In your avatar you look about sweet 16, guess that JD is keeping you looking so young...anyway the guy in the cake is a blast - LOL!

And for those of us in the snow and ice here's a BLACK ICE COCKTAIL

    BLACK ICE

    Ingredients

    4 ounces vodka

2 ounces Rosemary-Lemon Syrup Recipe (2 lemons, 2 cups sugar, 2 cups water, 2 sprigs rosemary - With a vegetable peeler, remove the peel from lemons, leaving bitter white pith behind. Combine peel plus remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring, until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool. Strain through a fine sieve (discard solids), and chill. Syrup can be refrigerated up to four days in an airtight container.)

Licorice Ice Cubes Recipe (4 cups water, 2 tablespoons anise seed, 2 to 4 drops black food coloring - mix and freeze into ice cubes)

    Directions

Oh Beans.....  Was just talking to someone who it took 3 hours to drive the 10 or so miles home last night.  When I was out for my walk yesterday evening, I could hear cars spinning out everywhere.  No clue how to drive in snow/ice.

The Widow.....Veuve Cliquot!!!!  That's what the Brits call it.  She actually developed the champagne when such things were still new, so is one of the first great female winemakers.

Bonnie.....so sorry about your son's car.

Back to ice and snow.  I was really worried last winter about the hill up to Group Health.  This is the one where they showed the bus hanging over I5 two years ago.  So you can imagine why I wasn't keen on driving up it for chemo.  But was a mild winter so never had a problem.

I know a lot of women get themselves all sorts of OTC meds and potions for chemo.  I bought a reflective cycling jacket and heavy-duty tires.

Now, if Pants can bring me a couple of glasses of La Grande Dame (best of Veuve Cliquot), I will be a happy camper.

Thanks for the Pain Killer drink, Beans! Soooo glad you got back home safely. Very scary driving in snow and ice, and I hate that Black Ice (we get that here too....so innocent looking...why should ice hide like that??!). Nice to get a day off, HD! But my gosh this winter weather is arriving with a vengeance. Wonder if we will even get snow here this year? Going to Alaska in January though...bad time of year, but had no choice in that decision. *Hoping* for mild weather. FINALLY its pau hana time! Enjoying some Moscato...anyone wanna join me by the pool?Innocent

I am leaving now for the poo, I hope you are still therel. I heard that they now have heated towels for us. Ah, nice. Pants is bringing me my first drink of the night. I had a great dinner cooked by some hot chef from Italy, I did not catch his name. I skipped desert, saving the calories for Thanksgiving.

Tits up, I will be back.  Pain in my a$$, DH, is paging me.  What now??

Claire - thanks for your understanding about my trip, I felt terrible about cancelling, now it puts me back a week and after 3 weeks off chemo I don't think I will want to go back, argh! (but I will, ya know). Anyway, it left the afternoon open so we got out to the beach for our jogging and all the snow is gone here...it was cold, but felt great. I feel so good off chemo!!!!

wahine - Alaska in Jan - ooo, be sure to bring lots of layers (and a good set of thermals or 2), I finally broke down a couple years ago and bought a nice down coat for winters in WA and it is so warm...it will be cold in Alaska but I'm sure sooooo beautiful. It's happy hour here too and I'm joining you and DorothyK at the pool, who else ic oming today?

Dorothy - heated towels sound great, let's have some fun!! Toss the pager in the pool - he he he!

TitZ Up & happy pau hana time, Moscato sounds great!!!!

Dorothy, You didn't see me here in our theatre, as it is dark. But I am right here with you, watching DWTS! (And drinking so quietly as to not disturb anyone....lol). Puleez don't run off with Pants...we need him here too badly! We actually have "Hunk" too....found him in Tunica when I met junie there....and we added him to the mix since Pants and Jocks and the Firemen are tooooooo busy taking care of us all, and need help sometimes. Anxiously wondering who will get the mirror ball trophy tonight!

Hi chrissy, gawd that IS hot!!! So weird that our seasons are opposite from each other. I think Dorothy is still watching Dancing with the Stars...I have to forward it, as I think it just ended and I haven't seen that part yet. Then we'll all jump into the pool to cool off. When is your birthday? Still need to ask NM when her birthday is too...I think hers is coming up too, or is it AStorms? I can't keep up, so shouldn't even try....lol.   ***SPLASH***

Oops....just realized there is another hr of DWTS left.....so will have to splash into the pool a bit later.....(Maybe we should add the mirror ball to our nightclub....lol).

    Hellooo!

I just had a quick dip in the pool, came back, and they are still cha-cha-ing away on DWTS and I just saw Mrs. Brady shake her stuff....so cute.  They really like to draw these finales out, don't they??!   Tonight I raise my glass to dear Patrick Swayze, the best dancer there ever was!!   Well, my godmother might say Fred Astaire, but I'm a girl of the 80's, not in my 80's!

    Night all!

How you doing Kathy?  Thank goodness a cool front has come through today and it is now raining and sooooo much cooler, still in the high seventies so it's now humid.  I celebrate my 59th on the 12/5.  Lulubelle, I just love Patrick Swayze and Dirty Dancing.  You are right when you say he was the best dancer, I heartily agree and I really miss seeing his dancing self.  Gone but definately not forgotten.  Dotty, now you behave yourself....I'm watching you!   You have to learn to leave Pants alone you naughty girl you.  Didn't anyone ever tell you that too much of a good thing is bad for you!  You know I'm always around to pick you up....no matter how naughty you are.

    Love to all.  chrissy

Hi chrissy, I am fine! Glad you have internet at your sisters! Heard from my cuz in Sydney and she has to go to India with her job, till Dec 23....right b4 Christmas. I will be traveling on your b'day....going to Hawaii....so you all will have to partay without me, unless you are all still there and not passed out when I finally get unpacked and online! Oh wait, we actually will need to have your b'day on the 4th, since you are about  20-21 hrs ahead of us on central time. SO best thing is for YOU to get to the partay first then alert everyone, so we can all join you! Whew...glad I figured that out....lol. I got a kick out of my DH...he sent funny Thanksgiving stuff to several of us, even the relatives in OZ. He was surprised when I told him that Thanksgiving is an American holiday....LOL. Guess he's been outta school toooooo long!

Good winner on DWTS! Now to celebrate with some mimosas.....heading to the mimosa fountain now.....

OK, I think we need to order a HUGE flat screen TV to be installed where it can be seen from the pool.  I'm not a DWTS fan, but I could get into watching it while floating in the pool with a drink in hand!  Of course, the recliners in the theater do have heat and massage, and I don't think that would work in the pool.  I guess there's room for both!

The mimosa fountain is very popular today!

It's taken me so long to read all the posts, I barely have time to respond! HD....Oh dear, I guess I did have too much to drink. A pilgrim it is!. Funny story about my son when he was little. We lived in a town that had a lot of black. So he had black friends and black teachers, etc. Moved to another town when he was in the first grade, not so many blacks in this neighborhood. Well it was Thanksgiving and they were making pilgrims. My son had the only black pilgrim hanging on the wall in his classroom!

Bonnie, hope they find the car soon. Sorry to hear about that. At least he wasn't in it!

Beans, sorry for all your tanning delays.

Chrissy, glad you made it safe and can join us.

Kathy, who even wants to talk to you? Hawaii, Alaska.......Pfft!

Dorothy, you crack me up. Just during my visit to MI, my brother was given some "cookies" that were a little special! I didn't have any, but my little brother did and wasn't told! As for pictures, I don't use the tree. Just copy and paste. But like K said, you can't take them from files on your computer, they have to be on the internet. Oh, and you can preview you post before submitting it, to see if your picture shows. Would love to see the McDonalds pic.

    HD....you're still no nun!

    Having some Black Ice...............Yummmmmmm!

Good morning gals! NM, I am partaking of the mimosa fountain as I write! And good idea to have a large tv to be seen from the pool. We have one in the bar, and the viewing room, and that will be a nice addition! Good choice.

Lori....lol! Well, if truth be known, I would rather stay home and be able to get a little ready for Christmas, than be going to HI. Only going to celebrate my dad's 94th b'day, and DH will be having his b'day there too (he would rather be in Vegas though!). Then will be bringing my parents back with us. My dad hasn't seen their new place here yet; I think he will love it, but still might not want to move. And going to Alaska in January will feel more like punishment (toooooo cold), but my parents want to visit my bro's place again, so it helps for us to go too. So don't be envious of those trips! Hope to have some fun in HI, but haven't really planned anything. Will be too cold to swim, but the outside temps will be nice, and not very hot.

My achy, achy back is really making its presence known this morning...can hardly move. Worse than normal, prob cause of the type of work I have done lately. Gotta get going as electrician is coming in a few min, and DH just mentioned we should have him check a switch upstairs too...yikes....gotta move stuff so he can get TO it!!! Gotta run....I mean gotta hobble off for now...hobble, hobble, hobble.

Hobble, hobble, wobble, wobble, gobble, gobble.....

Hi Beans, Was trying to enjoy the video w/ Patrick , but it kept stopping, and trying to embed....might be because I am on a netbook? It looked so funny, what I could see of it....then...kabam...loud solid noise and screen filled with warning words...then it crashed! So, not to scare anyone, as the link may be just fine, but it took me awhile to reset the computer. All looks ok now though. SO I'll let you enjoy that skit for me, too afraid to try it on the netbook again! Was neat seeing Patrick in his younger years....I had forgotten all that long hair, and what an amazing bod! Thanks for posting!

My DD decided! she can host Turkey day this year, so now have to go to the grocery store on the busiest day of the year (late DH ran a grocery store, and always had to work late on T'day eve). Hope I can beat the crowds....have a turkey, but need some sides. Hope everyone will be with loved ones this year, and will have a really nice day tomorrow! My wish is for happiness for each one of you,and for someone to finally find a cure for bc.

    Love and Turkey Hugs,

    Kathy
