DorothyK-I, too need motivation to exercise more. Now that there is snow and ice on the road and it gets dark at 4 pm, I have too handy an excuse not to take the dog for long walks, so I'm going to try to use the Wii more. I've got a dance fitness program for it that I liked, the one time I used it. Motivation is so hard to come by when I'm tired!

AStorm-amazing how much energy a dog can have, isn't it? My Sadie is just full of it no matter how many times I throw the ball for her or play tug of war with her. Wish I could steal some of that energy!

Raincitygirl-Jocks and Pants are on their way over, with a huge pitcher of something relaxing. I've GOT to find out what that concoction is! I've never tried MaryJane, but I believe it is available here in the lounge. I'm sure one of the other loungettes will know the secret word for ordering it from the Tenders and Wenches. When you find out, let me know, maybe it's time I tried it myself! Can't be any worse than taking Xanax, even if I really don't need the munchies aspect. . .

Claire-you continue to amaze me. I didn't do chemo, but I did suffer through rads, and could barely function for weeks afterwards. I cannot imagine how anyone would cycle and do all that you do during treatment! Hooray for you!

Kittykat-I over heard the tenders placing a bulk order for JD. The ordered a couple of cases, then talked it over and ordered a dozen cases just to keep YOU supplied! They are really concerned that they can't get you buzzed "like she deserves"! Funny how wine can hit you harder than the hard stuff sometimes, isn't it?

Sounds like we could all (except Claire) use an energizing drink today. How aboutEnergy Shot

    1 oz Vodka
    3 oz Red Bull

Oh dear....I just can't believe how busy we have gotten, here at The HTL.

Donna, we have been graced with your presence twice in one week? Does this mean you are going to start hanging with us again? I HOPE SO! Glad you had an unexpected surprise at TG. NM, I love all the different wines you make, and playing with Sadie counts for SOME exercise! Junie, I just can't imagine you grumpy. Kitty and Beans, how's the rads going? You two are closing in on the end of treatments. Dorothy, I think you are the only one that has posted pictures of her tata's.....love it. And I thought that was you in your avatar. Makes more sense, now that you say it's your 19 year old. For those of you wanting MaryJane, or marriageyouwanna.....how 'bout just calling it Willie! If you saw the news, you will see he just got BUSTED!

Well, I am going to apologize now for not responding to everyone. It's just so hard to keep up anymore! But this is a good thing. My mom is in the hospital, but at her own hands. COPD, diabetis and she got an infection. Come to find out, looks like she might have congestive heart failure. She is on O2, breathing treatments and steroids. Suppose to start OT and PT today, but says she will go back to her ways when she gets home. Smoking in her room with door closed, eating sugar loaded crap, no exercise and sleeping alot! She makes me angry that she doesn't even try. I think I will just tell her, why stay in the hospital and waste your time and theirs? Just go home! As for me, I have another busy weekend coming up. Need to do bloodwork one day during the week, tests on Friday, Irrigation Association Show over the weekend in Phx, then onc appt on Monday. Then sometime after that, we will be going to Cali. Staying up near Mission Viejo (I believe) A little farther from the grand kids, it was just too emabarrasing last time. So we said we would drive down to them and meet at a park or perhaps Chucky Cheese or something. I think I might need a few of those energy shots NM, we have CyberMonday sale going on with our business today. 30% off! Don't make any money doing that, but it gives us money to work with!

So Happy CYBER Monday to all! Cyber Cheerz

NM - well bring that Wii on over to the lounge - that sounds like fun! I'm thinking about getting one for "my family" for Christmas (even tho they probably won't use it). Maybe the tenders can whip up lots of energy drinks to keep us going. This little dog gets really wired. Yesterday we took him for a long, swift walk - he was running with those little legs the whole time. We even left the corgi at home so that we could make him work harder but I think we are just increasing his stamina. We thought we would pick up the corgi after and give her a short, easy walk with WD but he was still so energetic I just took the corgi by herself (a nice break for her not to have WD jumping on her). I think he needs a playdate with his puppy friend.

raincitygirl - we have medicinal MJ here in Cali. Maybe Goldie can bring some back to the lounge. Willie should move here...I'm sure he could get a prescription for insomnia or something.

Goldie - sorry about your mom, that sounds pretty bad. My friend recently went to the doc for a routine checkup and was told that she is diabetic and has hypertension as well. She went on a really strict diet (looks amazing!) and was able to avoid insulin for now. Her DH on the other hand has some serious health issues but refuses to change his life style one iota and so ends up in the hospital 2-3 times every year. What can you do?  Sorry but we probably won't have good weather for you here in Cali. We've been having unseasonable cold weather and rain which is projected into next weekend. I covered my citrus but there is a huge angel trumpet that got badly burned last week, not to mention the grass. Oh, well. At least I still have limes for mojitos...

    Happy Cyber Monday!

Good morning!!!  Think I will stick to alcoholic potions.  Mostly wine, with the occasional other drink thrown in.  Reminder that I haven't visited the Karma Martini Lounge since diagnosis last year.  They have the most wonderful fruit-infused 'tinis for $4 at Happy Hour.

BUT......will do the PAR-TAY at the wine bar Thursday evening instead.  New releases, and get to meet the vintners.  So should be fun.

    Otherwise a work week.

Native Mainer - I get out on weekends this time of year, and walk during the week.  Right now, I am dragging from yesterday's ride.  Let's say that my glutes are noticing the exercise.  I go nuts in the winter if I don't get out, so it's about my mental health too.

The right outerwear makes all the difference, and so does the right footwear.  I have a pair of hiking boots I wear when icy and snowy out.

Radiation hit me more than I expected it would.  I still trained however.  Just without a lot of enthusiasm for about three weeks.  Then I was fine.  I dragged through chemo, particularly the end of AC, but I was out then too.  I felt normal when I got enough oxygen in my system.  That was very important.  I usually got an endorphin high too.  (Remember I couldn't drink wine then.)

So thrilled to have all that behind me.

Goldie.....so sorry about your Mom.  Sounds nasty.  My father had diabetes, and quite frankly, that is one of the reasons I am so adamant about getting exercise.

Speaking of which, I need to get moving as have to do real work today.  Will join all of you later.  Reminder too, that I can put up my Christmas stuff now, but cleaning up a bit first might be a good idea.  Want to do it up right this year!!!!!

Well, I got out the last two days for my hobble/jog...the trail to the beach is swamped so DH got us duck boots, he wades through and I run around, then he's been carrying me back across the swamp on his back. I just laugh so much and call him my burro. I just know one of these times we will both end up head first in the swamp!! But heck, getting wet and cold ain't so bad.

    burro

Have been so bizy trying to sell stuff to get some money with a percentage going to charity. I've gotten a number of things sold and it's fun, but not sure what everyone is doing and today is another bizy day with errands, groceries, post office, gotta take a bath (at least once a week whether I need it or not is my rule) then a nice little tits up buzzap-tan this afternoon...then tomorrow starts the crazy train...will see if weather permits this time...so salmonello's n vodka for breakfast with peanut butter cups n snicker doodles to get my heart started, then drive drive drive, wait wait wait, see if it's a one, two, or three poke day (oooooooooo maybe 4 pokes oooooooooooooo), then add caca pills, peroshki, more vodka, then drive drive drive, rush rush, titz up Buzzzappp again and then home for merlot, tequila, more vodka, two snaps and a twist...oh yeah and lotta aloe vera with vodka tonic twist gushy slather glop...how could a day be better???

    boots

    peanut butter cups

    BARMEN! ~ Beanzzzz

P.S. Those reds and greens make me think it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas with a twist and a buzzap!

P.P.S. DorothyK yours look ma'velous da'link!!! Hot cha cha!!!

Hi Beanie! Good luck with your bizzy day... take lots of chocolate it has caffeine to offset the alcohol. Hope you get a good poker today. I'm impressed by your burro - mine would NEVER do that! Actually I would probably be ahead of him and he'd be whining about getting his boots wet LOL.

is he PEEING? Can't take him anywhere!

On my way to Safeway for some budget wines...

    Hey girl friends,

I just got a fill today and boy oh boy, my girls are huge. But I got the most awesome news, my exchange surgery is going to happen on 12/28 so that I am able to get it done under my wonderful Aetna policy.  My company is changing their insurance to a high deductable plan which sux so bad but at least the new girls will not have me take a second mortgage or do a cash out refinance. I am SO excited.

Beans, your DH is awesome, mine would not do that either.  I can picture it, it sure is cute!

Goldie, also so very sorry to hear about your Mom.  I will pray that she has a change of ways and is able to get better. My Dad is an insulin dependent diabetic and he used to be the same with, chain smoking, eating ice cream every night, donuts for breakfast etc.  He did end up changing his life sytle but only after having a quad bipass.  There is hope for her, don't give up

A-Storm, what a riot that you WD rings the doorbell, I love it! Those little dogs just pull my heart strings like a new baby, something about them.  I have had them all my life.

I will get online later, waiting for DH to bring my suitcase down from our attic and off we go to Atlantic City to do some real gambling.  Well he gambles, I drink Kiss!

Thanks for receiving my tata pics well.  When I woke up this morning, I wondered if I had made a mistake in putting up anything so personal but am glad that you like my girls.  I will get an updated pic soon. Oh, my PS said that he will have to do a fat graft to rid the divets but this won't be done until Nipple Time, tits up right?!

I have got to run, peace and lots of luv as always to my breast friends.  You guys rock!!

oh, ps....I love the nickname "willie" for MaryJ. If someone could bring some to the lounge tonight, it may offset the pressure of my big girls!!

ta ta, my dear ladie friends :)  Make it a fantastic rest of the day!

    Hello Loungettes!

Just stopping by to say "HI".  Hope everyone is having an SE-free day.  The watery eye thing I had going for over a month seems to be subsiding; that was annoying!  Couldn't even wear eyeliner to make me look like I'm awake.

Turkey Day was mellow.  DS got sick so we couldn't go to our friends' house as planned.  We had a small dinner for just the 4 of us; not very festive.  We've been in the process of painting our kitchen cabinets for almost 2 weeks now, so I haven't even felt like I could do any cooking or baking.  DH keeps finding little things to spackle and sand, so there is dust everywhere.  Now we (meaning, I) have to pull everything out of the cupboards, clean up the dust, and put everything back.  So fun.  Well, some chardonnay will help.

    Cheers!

Lori - sorry to hear about your mom.  That has to be so frustrating.  My mother inlaw also has diabetes.  She hasn't changed her lifestyle.  She's also going blind and needed to quit smoking.  She started smoking recently and still eats like crap!  My father inlaw had a heart attack a few years ago and has needed his heart shocked into rhythm.  He still eats horribly.  He got BC a couple years ago, too.  We were bbq'ing one night while camping.  I got these yummy chicken sausages from Walmart that are very low fat.  My MIL refused to eat one because it's healthy!  Ha!   Have fun in Mission Viejo.  I grew up in South Orange County.  It's so beautiful there (and expensive - hence the reason we live in Vegas)!  :)

No Willie for me, just a glass of wine or shot of JD will do just fine!  And a little Ativan on the side!  I'm sitting on the sofa with my kitties and doggies and drinking Diet Sierra Mist (my new find during chemo).  I had rads #4 today and starting to feel it already!  I have plenty of energy though.

    Happy Holidays everyone!!!  CHAIRS!!!

Thanks all about my mom, but like I said.....she will just go back to old her ways! Dorothy good luck in AC, praying that the Gambling Gods are good to you! I can only imagine what all of us would look like, playing in the lounge or out at the pool with wii! But agree with Astorm, sounds like fun....as do the Mojitos! Beans, I just just picture DH carrying you over the swamp. I sure hope you don't fall in, but oh how funny that would be! Junie, hope you are feeling better, Kathy.....you packing? HD, where are you? Claire, that martini lounge sounds awesome. Fruit infused tini's...........yum. MrsNice, sorry you have all that clean up to do, but your cabinets will look nice in the end.

Anyways....about Willie. I had a customer call me yesterday, wants to buy a bunch of stuff for something he is putting a patent on. Come to find out, it's to grow some Willie! They use the oil for ......................get this.................................

Lori, I wonder if that was my brother who ordered the equipment??  LOL  He keeps saying he's going to start a farm.

Very chilly morning here in San Diego . . . . 34 degrees when I got up at 6:30.  Had to convince my 13yo DD it was in her best interest to wear a jacket to school.  Teenagers!

Put in about 3.5 hours of cleanup work in the kitchen yesterday, and don't feel any worse for the wear, so I guess I'll do some more today.  Starting to think maybe I WILL feel better soon.

    Tippy-Tappy Tuesday to you Loungettes!

Lori - Maybe it was my DH who placed that order. Depending on the political environment here we are either threatening to move to Canada or the south of France and buy a goat farm and make cheese. Funny your customer would talk about something that doesn't have a patent yet. DH always has these crazy ideas and before he tells me he makes me swear I won't repeat them. They are so funny it is impossible to keep that promise after a couple of drinks! ... sshhh! don't repeat this but he had an invention once he called "boogie scrubs". They were little mops you put on your feet and then you dance until your floors are clean. I laughed so hard he actually made some out of socks and dusting cloth to demonstrate... which made me laugh more. Then one day we walked into Sur La Table and there they were... but without his catchy name. I thought I would have to eat crow but a couple of months later they were all in a clearance bin at 50% off. He said they needed a better name. I think if he could get the goats to dance we might have something...

MrsNice- I think we should rename Cyber Monday to clean-the-kitchen day. I spent half my day cleaning yesterday after my client canceled but you wouldn't know it cuz we went out last night (listened to jazz!) and when we came home it looked just like it did the night before. We are north of you but my DD usually goes to school wearing t-shirts and Havaianas. This morning she had to walk 2 blocks to get to her carpool. She came back in the house and put on a jacket and shoes! I've stopped nagging my kids about jackets (at 15 and almost 18) and miraculously they have started wearing them -?

It's 41 degrees here now and the ice has melted off the car so I guess I should go to work... it has been almost 2 weeks since I last worked!

We had a really nice Thanksgiving -- relaxing and fairly quiet with yummy food and plenty of wine.  Right after dinner the police called our son to let him know that his truck had been found in a mall parking lot (it was stolen last Monday night from in front of my house).  The truck was fine except for the smell of cigarette smoke and some McDonald's wrappers.  There was even gas left in the tank and our son was SO thankful to get his vehicle back.

Most of the rest of the weekend was spent with our 9 year old grandson.  He's a great kid and both DH and I do our best to keep him entertained.  We were exhausted when he went home on Sunday, but we also had a lot of fun and I can't wait to see him again.  He's our only grandchild, so I probably spoil him too much.

Our daughter is finishing up in massage school, so she came over yesterday and gave me a massage -- so relaxing!  I have LE in my arm since the last surgery and she worked on that for awhile, too.  Guess I need to go back to wearing that awful sleeve 'til the LE lets up.

I'm off to clean up the house and then do a little Xmas shopping on the computer.

    Cheers, ladies....

LOL @ Gail! I think your husb just may be on to something ! (but only tell him that if you want him to gloat) lol

Either way I'm with you about the goat farm - and goat cheese - and France!!!Money mouth

We had a quiet and uneventful Thanksgiving. I had 4 days off (woo-hoo) and made the most of it by putting together one more piece of ikea furniture (I am now a pro - gonna see if they'll hire me if I ever find the time for a part-time job) and buying lighted lawn x-mas figures.  I posted some new pics on Facebook - my old drinkin' buds need to 'friend' me there so I can share. I hate to post pics of Avery here since this is SO public. (not that FB isn't but ...)

Other than that I've just been busy working and drinking crappy red wine.Frown My latest scotch acquisition from London turned out to be very nice so I'll get some more if I can since I'll be back there this weekend. Laughing

And a BIG shout out to CG - HEY! (lol) Glad all is well with you!

    Cheers!

Jaybird......  Obviously, you didn't get the treatment side effect of swearing off crappy wine forever.  I am here to instruct you on that one.  You have no idea how great WA state is that way.  Also tons of lovely goat (and other) cheese.

Good move to stock up on good Single Malt at the Duty Free in Heathrow.  They used to offer tastes, so worth doing some serious sampling prior to buying.  You won't mind arriving super-early if you can do this.

(The Scots call it "whisky" by the way, not recognizing any other than what they produce.)

I like Balvenie myself.  Reminder to pour myself some in a brandy glass as 'tis the season!

Happy Hump Day to you worker bees----'cept for Jaybird!   Don't think you have a normal work week!!!    Speaking of Willie--local lore has it that he used to come here once a year and put on a concert so he could reload his yearly supply!!!   May be some truth to that--our local deputies spend a lot of time roaming through our hills looking for pot farms (they find a lot!!!).

Really enjoying having DH's son with us for a few days--he's one step from getting his PhD in Political Science and we have had some great discussions on current issues!

It's been a lovely afternoon at the HTL.....Jocks and Pants have been keeping me well supplied in dog beers.   The pool has been heavenly....heading back out to my hammock in a few minutes.   Skate is wanting another PAR-TAY--anybody got a BD coming up????

Chuckling at MrsNice and her 13 y.o. and then RCG's comment about why she is called MrsNice.....cute! Astorm, there is GOOD money in goat milk as well. Check out the prices the next time you are out shopping! As for the coats, I was about 40 or so and visiting my mom. Was getting ready to leave and she says "now put your coat on, its cold outside". I said MOTHER, I am 40 years old, and if I don't want to put my coat on, I won't. I am just going to the car. But for you, I will" And we both just laughed. She still says things like that, even though I am now in my 50's! Bonknie, so glad to hear your son got the car back....wow, and no damage to boot. Hope you found some good deals shopping! I can vouch for pictures of Jaybird's lil darlin. She is getting so big, and let me tell ya....what a cutie! Junie, LMAO.....too many dog beers? Or did you find one those pot farms! I am so glad you did not delete! Love you so much! Beans, we'll keep an eye on you, so you don't fall into the pool. And if you do, we'll send the fire crew in to rescue you! Might be worth doing on purpose, eh? Glad you chimed in Chrissy, or I was gonna tell! You really have something worth celebrating......LIFE!

RCG, the oil is from marijuana. And I have no idea what you do with it. Rub it on, drink it, infuse into a tea? I guess you can search it if you want. The person (not my customer) that is promoting it, is Jack Simpson. And then there is another guy, can't think of his first name, maybe Rick, last name is Triplett. You can also search "run from the cure".

Well, I am heading inside to the heated pool to float around and watch some tv on that big screen. Hmmmmmmm.......maybe with one of those Irish coffees.

DOTD....how about a DEAD GOAT DRINK

Ingredients to use: 1 part Gin, 1 part Goats Milk

Directions: Shut eyes, slam back and run to toilet!

o, Goldie, that might be a bit much! Think I'll stick with the cheese... at least cheese has some "structure".

Well never made it to the store to stock up on wine so I had to forage for a bottle of white wine last night to open with risotto with butternut squash, saffron and prawns, oh and lots of butter and real parmesan. Found a Pigato di Albenga that was lovely with the risotto. I keep saying that I only have one glass of red wine with dinner but... the this was white and the bottle appears to be empty and I don't think DH drank it all!

It has been really cold here so I put out some extra seeds for the songbirds and now the cats and I are watching them make a mess. The chickadees are delicate eaters but the sparrows seem to drop 10 seeds for every 1 they eat.

Promised DH that I would take off the rest of the month from studying and here it is December 1st already... back to the grind. At least I am down to one (assuming I passed last week's).

    Happy Hump Day!

I am popping in for a much needed drink of jack n coke with a splash of JD watermellon cooler, then off to a doc appt. ~just a typical day in the life of me.  I wanted to say hello and see what was happening.

ChrissyB, I am very much looking forward to celebrating your birthday here with the gurlz, yeee ha!

We are having crazy rain here in NJ, I think I need to build an ark to get around. It is flooding everywhere and many have lost power due to high winds.  But it is calm as can be at the lounge~thanks for having me, cheers!

Will try to get on here later and get the most recent tata news!

The Dead Goat Drink sound horrid, but I want to try it anyway!  I spent last evening catching up with some girlfriends I haven't seen in a year.  Talk about getting persepctive--one had open heart surgery to correct a congential heart defect, one had surgery for perferated ulcers, one's husband is having recurrent bouts of illness with no cause that anyone can find, one's business is suffering from the economy, and I had blateral reconstruction.  I planned to stay only for an hour or so since i had to get up at 4 am.  I actually got to bed at 11 pm.  The 'hardest' drink available was coffee, unless you count the ice in the ice water!  But we had a great time!  At any rate, I am very, very tired, so I'm going to sip on a dead goat drink while lounging in a hammock suspended in the hot tub.  I don't want to drown in my sleep!

    Buttums Up!

Raincitygirl - it sure was rainy yesterday...how you doing? I got Fu'd and started caca pills again yesterday and had rad # 8 of 33. I'm feeling the caca and today I'm a tomato face from the steroids. The steroids do make me hungrier and food tastes better right now so I've added a few pounds...(due to Thanksgiving and BD cake and bread pudding and candy!!) Thanks so much for a place to land...that is soooo nice of you to offer.

Stanzie - so glad to see you back posting, you were missed, and not out of my thoughts. Love the coconut bar, that looks fabulous, especially as I sit in this gray dreary rainy ucky weather.

DorothyK - No alloderm info here, sorry...wow! Is that really your tat? I don't have any except for my five little rad freckles, one had invisible ink. Love your pool pic! So inviting!! Wow, some other hot pics tooo...this is true, my DH's grandma was named Dorothy (they called her Dotty - I never met her)...it's a great name!! Loved the eggs beni dish - fabulous one of my old favs - thank you!! What happened to your ta ta pic? It was great...I wanted to show off my freckle tattoos, but they are in difficult places to photo...anyway so many of us have them they aren't that interesting, but anyway now I can say I have tattoos.

AStorm - Now it's my turn to try to catch up on 4 pages of goodies, glad you liked the cookies. LOL at your champagne and hoisted dress story. So glad you had a good Thansgiving. I'm so very glad to hear your exam went well!! Congrats!!! Your WD and corgi stories are so fun! A friend of mine asked if we could get medi MJ in WA, I don't know if that's available here??? Def looks like that burro is peeing and having a good time of it! Love you DH's ideas, makes me think of mine, I call it a "popcorn" of ideas, every day there is some grand new plan in the works...lately he wants to go to Austrailia. I love the "boggie scubs" idea! My DH and his best friend always had these great biz ideas, once it was cookies, then pooper scooper, then omg it's endless...good luck!

HD - Glad Free Range Fred tasted good! I don't think anything offends me anymore. Except this: you got to have lots of tasty wine and I can't right now...that offends me big time (j/k). You know I drink as much wine as possible, I did enjoy a bit of Gewurtz so made me happy. So how are you and what's new??? Please write sooon...

Claire - glad to hear you are feeling better, too bad about skiing Sunday, but maybe this weekend. Thanks for the frozen peeled pearl onions - I will have to get those for Christmas, creamed onions...DH loves them but I can never find them for some reason...So glad your trim came out good! I'm still waiting till a month or so after chemo to let anyone touch what's left of mine. Oooo I love pizza (if it's done right)...I got spoiled when I went to Italy - the food was so fantastic. So glad your legs are getting stonger!! Great progress. My hobble/jogs aren't what they used to be, but maybe after chemo and rads I can get to building again...for now it's mainly to get everything moving to get all the s*** outta me. I love your "prep for chemo" I thinks that's the way to go...I was told to drink a lot, pee a lot and keep moving so that's what I've done. I gotta show you my screw shoes for running in the ice last winter...I so agree it's about mental health too, this WA weather means it's mandatory to get out and move around or the gray will put me insane!! When the endorphins kick in both DH and I have a whole new outlook on life!

Screw Shoes: DH put screws in the edges so I wouldn't slip on ice during winter jogs!! Looks funny but it worked!

Lulubelle - Another German red cabbage lover!! It is a must on holidays, my Gma immigrated from Germany in the early 1900's and landed in Seattle, then migrated to LA. I grew up with a lot of German influences...sausage, beer, saur kraut...some of my favorite things and all the cuss words I learned when Gma started her senility late in life...she deserved to cuss she was a two time cancer survivor! Died of old age and no cancer!!! Love you hat!! Yea to the explosive, especially sour kraut, it gives DH a tummy ache so I can't have it as often as I like, but he does like it, just not the effects...

MrsNice - my eyes were watering like crazy with the first cycle or two of chemo...now it's not too bad, it is very annoying! Bummer when you can't even wear eyeliner - I know how that feels! Hope your DS is better, we also had a quiet Thanksgiving, just DH and I, but it was nice. Hope you get your kitchen done soon.

Hi Jaybird! Happy Be-lated Thanksgiving. Did your car engine blow? I'm sorry if I missed something...I hate roadblocks and BD had been a big one this whole effin year.

NM- I'm still jealous of your home made wine, one of these days, I will have a garden, a cat, a dog and make my own wine! Glad you drove a safe speed and pissed everyone off - yahoo! These are the same ones who will trample poor wal-mart employees to death to get a good deal! Your DOTD: Call of the Snowfields looked beautiful!! Ritz and clam dip n CHEETOS with those fab wines??? I second wahine, next time maybe you bring the hors d'oeuvre. Now I do love the  Lazy Sunday DOTD, it looks so sunny and healthy! I will save the Energy Shot for tomorrow when my steroids wear off - ha ha - I'll be crashing hard and will need it! Glad you got time to catch up with some girlfriends, sounds nice and I hope you get rested.

Goldie - how are you decos going?? I love to hear as I don't think I'm doing any this year. All my stuff is stored in the mountains and I don't want to spend $$ on it here. Just food and booze. I will actually be finished with chemo for Christmas and New Years so will hopefully feel like a little extra vodka to celebrate. It is harder to keep up lately, but I so love reading everyone's posts and you all are in my thoughts and prayers. We'z a good grupa chicas!! I was very sorry to read of your Mom's troubles...I am wishing her well and wishing for you to be able to handle her okay...sounds so frustrating. We went through that with my adorable FIL...I adored him... Hope your onc apt went well!!! Thanks for keeping an eye on me at the pool, but yeah, fallin in may be worth it - he he. LOL at your Dead Goat Drink - love the braces - can I drink this in place of exlax after my last (did you catch that??) last chemo infusion next Tues???? ha ha ha I'm almost dun!

Junie - hope you continue to feel better...lemme know when you hit the casino again and I'll join you there! If you're bored that may mean you're getting all better and ready to rock n roll.

Wahine - good idea to add coconut swim up bar to the HTL! I think my panty needs cleaning too - tee hee hee! So when are you leaving on your trip, I'm sorry I forgot...I'm so confused lately...

Kittycat - always good to hear from you! My DH grew up in So Cal. Do you like Vegas? We have thought of moving somewhere sunnier...I've been to Vegas but only for a couple days at a time, for casinos, food and fun. I had rads #8 yesterday and go for #9 today, so far so good...hope the same for you.

Casinogirl - glad you had a fun Thanksgiving, sounds so fun!! Hope you will be back again soon.

BonnieK - so glad you got your son's truck back okay, that's a relief!!! So glad you had fun with your grandson too, that would be fun but tiring! Oh, nice a family masseuse! Sounds so good. Sorry about the LE, I haven't had that (yet) but sounds like you're working on getting back down.

Chrissy - yeah!!! Happy Happy Birthday coming up on the 5th!! And 7 year cancerversary - we will have to party so big bad and hard for you!! That is so great! I was excited to see 53 (and on 11/29 was my 7 month cancerversay), but 59 whooo-hooo!!! Way to go!! And to many more!!!

Wow Beans......   I think you are at the end of chemo, so you should be fine to have wine over the holidays.  Good deal.  I went six months without.  Major bummer.

Hope you are enjoying the sunshine and get out.  No ice here, so you should be just fine.  I wore my hiking boots last week.  The leg weakness wasn't that obvious BTW - just couldn't always pull myself up to push down on the other pedal to launch myself.  Much better at that one now.  We shall see when I get up on the x-country trails.  Better start with flat BEFORE I am up there wondering how I will get down.

Talk about endorphin highs????  I got a major one cycling in the snow a week ago.  I know I am weird that way, but exercise in the snow always does that for me.  At least as good as mind-blowing sex.  (I have told Main Squeeze this.  Not sure he believes me.)

Meanwhile, it's work for me.  Tons of stuff in all directions.  But will refill the coffers.  So a lot to celebrate.

Then tomorrow evening's party at Tasting Room.  Get to meet the wine makers and PAR-TAY.  Should be a blast.

Anyway, it's December 1st today and time to kick off the holiday season.  Cheers!!!
