Loving it Beans!  Happy, happy birthday Chrissy.

I need the Java lounge this AM as overtasted at last evening's wine event.  Wonderful fun though, and yes, the wine was that good.  Came home with a bottle of Gewurtztraminer.

Got the greatest present.  I took in my Chanel bag to Nordstrom a few weeks ago to get the interlacing redone.  Chanel fixed it for free!!!!  It looks fab now, and it's like I have a brand new bag.  So I will be rocking it.  Nice shoulder bag model and so practical too.

I am on a mission to get my wardrobe to really work for me.  So this was part of it.

One of the things I want is a fab winter coat.  This is probably a post Christmas item as the best hunting is eBay or resale.  I realize that I have never had a really wonderful one, but only ones that went with suits etc.  (Other than my vintage grey mink, which I use for special occasions or when bitterly cold.)  I don't really need it, but will be fun to have.  Has to be the right item though, as something more fun than necessary.

Hoping everyone is enjoying the last weekday.  I need to get moving on some work. In good shape right now, and that is a good thing.

    Now some more tea.......

SmileWinkCool  Yes, a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Chrissy!!!!!! And many, many more to come! Beans, those pics and wishes were so appropriate, because after all, it is ALREADY chrissy's birthday, down under! I know she is approx 20 hrs or so ahead of CST in the US....so she is already rocking the big 5-9. Loved those pics of the cake and bubbly! And Dorothy what an amazing tree......think we can get one of those to stay in the HTL for the Christmas season? Chrissy, looks like a real rocking party at the HTL tonight in your honor.....you can celebrate at home, and then AGAIN here.....2 days in a row....now that is really milking it! Hope you have a truly wonderful birthday!!!!!

Super busy here, have not had much time to post. A million kagillion more things to do b4 leaving Sunday morn. HOPEFULLY tomorrow I will have time to pack! Wishing all my fellow loungettes a great day, and I'll see you later at Chrissy's birthday bash!

    Ciao,

    Kathy

BIG WHOOPS! I think I have a case of whatever junie had earlier in the week.....cause all day I thought it was the 4th! Guess cause I have so much to do b4 the morn of the 5th! ANYWAY, chrissy's birtday is the 5th, so even with the int'l date line, it won't "officially" be her birthday here in the states, till tomorrow. SAWEEEEE! I'll try to do better next time (but thats not a promise...LOL).

Happy Birthday Chrissy!!!  Cheers to you - I'm lifting my 2nd glass of Chardonnay in your honor!  This one's local, but I sure do love lots of the Aussie wines that get imported here in California.  McWilliam's seems to be one of my faves . . .

And I agree with the 3-day birthday celebration . . . the longer the better!  December 5th is also my fur baby's birthday - Summer the golden retriever will be 9 this year!  So DOG BEERS all around!!

I typically celebrate my birthday for an entire month.  Just saying.

So I will join everyone later, but go easy on the wine.  My apartment is finally decorated so feel in the Christmas spirit.  Early night though as have a long ride planned for tomorrow.

Mrs Nice.....tasted at least three super chardonnays last night.  But much more red wine weather now.  Have some pinot gris ready for tonight though.  Can't wait.

Claire - even in the cooler weather (I know . . . San Diego is nothing compared to the Northwest, but 50 degrees is chilly for us!), I still prefer whites most of the time.  Although last night we had an awesome steak and Shiraz was a must!  Tonight it's pork loin roast . . . so may a pinot noir . . . if I have one!

No Christmas decorating yet.  There shalle be no joy in this house until my kitchen is done!

WooHoo....champagne! Purrrfect! Let's have the guys get the champagne fountains filled, so we won't have to wait even a second for a refill.Wink Let the celebration begin!!!

Mrs. Nice, I agree....I have always liked whites better than reds. And sometimes a rose. But now I like the real sweet whites, so moscato has been my favorite for a few months now. I also love the ice wines. Guess my sweet tooth is showing! I don't drink wine for a certain food, but just whichever wine I feel like having at the time. And, neat to know we share the same name! (The name Kathy, not Mrs. Nice.....they would prob call me Mrs. Mean....j/k!).

I got my "pampering" yesterday and am still smiling Laughing

Was tough, but a major walk today got me in shape to join the PAR-TAY.  Only problem was that the Pinot Gris was still bone-chilling for this clime so making amends with some LBV port.  YUM!!!

Looking longingly at the champagne, but for another night, and not tomorrow evening either.  Neither of my friends likes it, so will move on to a nice red.  I will get there.

Nice to be able to celebrate Christmas this year.  Last year was very low key. Not this year!!!

Need to see if I can work in some skating at Seattle Center.  Haven't been in ever so long.  Would be fun to go again.  And of course the carousel.

All this is working up a thirst, but will sip on the port for now.  Again, the most wonderful birthday celebration Chrissy!!!

LOL!!!!  Now, I'm really confused!!!  okay--THREE days of par-tay????   Wonderful!!!   (...if that Christmas tree goes missing from the HTL, you'll find it in my living room!   Luv it!!!)

Skate has oiled her wheels so she can zip around and bring us drinks while Jocks and Pants pamper the birthday girl!   She's icing down my bucket of dog beers and I'll be right out to the pool!    Sounds like you guys are getting pretty rowdy out there!   Ohhhhhh--Hunk just popped out of a cake!!!  (Wahine,he promises to come help you pack after he gets the icing washed off!!!)   Only exercising I'm gonna be doing is chugging my beer and waving for refills!!!   Happy Birthday, Chrissy!!!!!

Oh junie, thanks for letting Hunk come here to help me pack.....but I have a question. Instead of letting him wash the icing off, can I just lick it off? I have always loved frosting.... ;)  Surprised

What a fun, wild party! Love the band too. Chrissy, this is some party!!! Hope the boys put out some beds so we don't have to drive home. Oh wait, I have to pack....keep forgetting about that little detail!

Happy Birthday Chrissy!!!  Partay in the HTL!!!  Woo Hoo!!!

Claire - when you mention port, I now think of my chemo port (and not the drink).  I need to get it removed.  Just have to find the right date.

Stanzie - I know I'm a couple days behind, but I am very sorry about your loss.  We had a cat for 19 years growing up (my sister named her Schnitzel) and she was in my dreams for a long time.  It is so hard to lose a pet.  My heart goes out to you!  (((hugs)))

As I make the rounds of the lounge this night/morning (can't sleep) I see a champagne fountain at the main bar:

    beside the pool:

    on the buffet table:

    in the casino:

    and my own personal fountain!

NM, how cool is that! You had all the bases covered, with a champagne fountain everywhere! I was very glad though that you are sleeping heavily (finally!) and I was able to sneak in a few glassfuls from your personal chocolate fountain. Yummo!

Looks like a lot of passed out gals in the hammocks ALL OVER the place! Don't see anything broken, and thank god no clothes lying around (lol)...so I think we all weren't TOO wild last night. After all, we have TWO more days/nights to partay for Chrissy's birthday, and gotta pace it. And thankfully no one is lying face down in the pool!!! Here's to another great party! And, oh yeah, I do have to find time to pack today! Had fun licking that icing off, though he didn't help me pack yet.Wink

    ChEARS, Chairs, Champagne, TITS UP!!!!

This thread is hilarious.  I have a serious question, though, and wondered if anyone knows the answer.  I had a bilateral mastectomy in Sept due to pleomorphic lcis.  It's a grade 3 version of lcis and treated more like a high grade dcis (hence the double mastectomy).  Didn't have to have chemo, rads or tamox.  Wondering if I need to worry about alcohol consumption to avoid a reccurence even though I've had a double mastectomy?  I have always been a light to moderate drinker, but part of the reason the mastectomy was so appealing is I felt like I wouldn't have to worry about the cancer coming back and second guess everything I was eating/drinking.  Unfortunately, I have been told that I still have to closely monitor my diet and alcohol cosumption.   Does anyone have any other insight on this issue?

No, you're never too late HD! I am the one that got everyone confused, when I was a day ahead of time, and with the date line time difference too, so we are getting THREE days of celebrating, thanks to my error! I'm not complaining though, are you? LOL. Grab some champagne, as NM made sure the fountains are everywhere! No need to walk far for a drink. Happy Birthday again Chrissy!!! Hope you don't think you are getting a year older with each day we celebrate though. Ok, ok, I know.....I gotta start packing!!!!!

    Cheers,

    Kathy

Happy belated birthday, Chrissyb! Yes you should definately claim the whole month.

I'm staying away from those fountains...

Juuuunie! where is our tree? Did you drink it or drag it off? I want one just like that!

Kittycat - Hope you get that port out soon so you can re-associate the word with its proper meaning!

mountainmomof3 - welcome to the lounge! I'm no doctor but I think moderation is the key. My experience has been that bc made me more acutely aware of the necessity of balance in my life -- pleasure cannot be sacrificed for longetivity or vice versa.

DH wants to look at houses here in town so that I don't talk about leaving the state so we are taking WD to look at a few... see you later loungettes!

    Helloooo lady friends,

Thanks B-day girl for getting hammocks for all of us last night, I am glad to see them still here for another night of celebration.   And don't fret ladies, I found our tree, the men just restocked it for us tonight, seems our b-day girl, Chrissy hit it quite hard last night. And for the record, Chrissy's bday is 12/5 but it seems some ladies had a few two many and thought it was today but since she is down under in Australia (I say that with an accent as I type), we started celebrating yesterday since they are nearly a day ahead of us in the time zones.

Now that I have figured that out, time to pour another beer.

Astorm, nicely put about drinking in moderation, oops, I had better start huh? Bottoms up, tits up, party on, girlz!

eww, chrissy, I guess we'll have to par-tay again tonight thru at least tomorrow. Hope they can keep restocking the tree...

well, property hunting was a little depressing but we drove past 3 wineries within 5 miles of home and stopped at my favorite so I am 2 bottles of pinot the better... can't complain.

I'm on a diet. It's called the "Food & Wine Lover's Diet" and there are no carbs but a glass of wine with every dinner and gourmet recipes. Tonight I'm having roast pork loin, asparagus with hazelnuts and a glass of pinot. Not sure if I'll lose any weight but it sounds good. Might have to actually get my arse off the couch if I want to lose that Thanksgiving-pie-ponch.

Still laughing about the looooong birthday for chrissy. Hey, it's almost time to start celebrating my bday ... it's in July! LOL :)  Anyone watching OR vs OR State?

Hi girls!   finaly awake after a doozy of a do last night!  A little under the weather still, but I'll soon fix that as soon as I finish posting...lol.  I think the confusion about the long celebration also come with the fact the I also celebrate my seven year cancerversary on the 12/8.  I was told I prossibly had cancer on my birthday and it was confirmes three days later.  Not much of a prezzy but never mind, I'm still here and having a whole lot of fun!  Enough of this seriousness!  time to play and PARTY!!! PARTY!!!!PARTY!!!!  Now which fountain am I going to attack first.........ooooo....oooo....oooo   first things first, who ran away with my firemen?  I don't mind sharing but I cant find even one!

Gail, I am the one that got the birthday dates all mixed up so we ended up with 3 days to celebrate istead of 2. So, yeah, since your birthday is in July I am sure I can mess things up enough that we can celebrate the beginning of June....LOL. TWO whole months to celebrate!!! Hey, wait, I thought I saw you sneak off behind the casino with one of the firemen! OOPS.....shhhhhh....guess I was supposed to keep quiet about that. After all, what happens at the HTL, STAYS at the HTL!

Yeah, yeah, yeah, gotta START thinking about what to pack. Just delivered and set up my parents new tv, so it will be ready when they come here this month. SO NOW that it is so late,I gotta get started on my stuff.....soon....I promise....soon!

Bottoms Up and Tits Up and tomorrow morn I will be UP (in the sky)!
