I was going to go sexy for the party tonight, but changed my mind to WARM!!! Had some soup (yum) and pate is made.
Dishwasher is going, so will come back to a clean kitchen.
So think my vintage YSL culottes and a turtleneck. Some jewelry and a major smile.
Just need to finish dressing and head out. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! - Claire
(Love the bubble bath pic, but I never quite believe the combination of crystal and a tub.)

Ooh, my cousin in Sydney just sent the link to the 12 min video of the Sydney Harbor fireworks for the new year....approx a million and a half people camped out to watch it live. Hope this link works, it even looks like the bridge is on fire near the end....totally awesome!

Claire - don't think i have heard the word culottes in a long, long while. OMG - what a great reminder of my past.
Happy New Year's to all!

Kathy, the link worked and that was gorgeous. Junie, nice to see you and so glad that everything is well. Beans, congrats again on the completion of the zapper.

Oh where do I start! The pics are too numerous to comment on individually so collectively they are great and so apt! I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve and enjoyed themselves where ever they celebrated. The PAR-TAY here at the HTL was awesome....except when I fell in the pool....but that's what I get for trying to dance in six in stilettos! Never mind, I've finally dried off and I'm heading for the hammocks before I fall asleep on my feet!!! A coffee may be in order just so I don't wake with a headache!.......PANTS! COFFEE PLEASE!!!!
To all, stay safe, happy, healthy, comfortable, gain peace and may 2011 be the best year of your life!
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Looks like I'm the first one up! Been up since 3am, but that's what happens when you go to bed at 7! Junie, glad everything is ok over your way with the weather, but sorry to hear there were some deaths. I hope the weather is not affecting anyone else. We ended up with about a foot of snow, and it's -10 here this moring! NM, would love to see a Thunder Snowstorm, how cool is that. Dorothy, I love the pic of the four of us and don't even care which one is me! My DH will occasionally look over at me while I am here, and say "what's so funny?" .... as I will be laughing. We do indeed have a great place to escape to! HD, hope all is ok with you, and that doc better not beat you up too bad.
Tip toeing around all the sleeping bodies, trying not to disturb anyone. Think I'll grab another glass of bubbly and head over to the hot tub. Ooops, sorry bout that (whoever it was I tripped over)
Happy New Year to the best group of friends a girl can ask for. I wish for all of us to have a healthy year!

Claire-I never tried ham hocks, I'm not sure I've ever even seen them! What part of the pig are the hocks? I love pea soup full of ham "scrids" the local term for small scraps or bits of something. Green eggs and ham for breakfast? Are you eating with Dr. Suess?
Junie-so glad you are safe, it must be so scary to be that close to such severe weather. At least here in Maine we know about blizzards and the like days ahead of time and can get ready.Dorothy-after recon I came home with 4 drains and the only way I could manage the shower was with a pouch and ribbon system I bought before hand. That way the drains moved with me, less pulling and tugging and "ouching." Hang in there, they will go away, it will get better, just hang on! By the way-the Percocet and drinks here in the lounge mix perfectly, no bad side effects, no hangovers and no pain!
Beanie-Good to see you!
AStorm-I can't remember, did I spend any time in the bubbly hot tub last night? It looks like a lot of fun, hope I didn't miss it! And I do NOT remember taking this pic of Jocks opening a bottle of bubby:
Goldie-good morning! The Tenders have set up some special coffee for us early risers-very yummy stuff! Thunder Snow is kind of weird and fun, if it doesn't scare you to start with. I've known people to think the world was ending! The sky gets a funny yellow-green color during a Thunder Snow. Watch out for the sleeping bodies all over the lounge!
Happy New Year, Loungettes! Happy New Year Drink
1/4 oz Brandy
4 oz Champagne
3/4 oz Ruby Port
3/4 oz Orange Juice0 -
*yawning*....."Mornin' Girlz"! That was some party last night! And who just stepped on me? Still not quite awake, but wanted to wish you all a fantastic, happy, healthy NEW YEAR!!!!!! Thanks to all for the wonderful pictures; the yummy DOTD's; all of the laughs; all the support, concern and caring; and for keeping our beloved HTL a fun place to escape to! You are a fantastic group of ladies, and I agree with the above comments that were made about everyone here. Stay warm, stay safe, stay buzzed! (LOL). Have a MAHVELOUS YEAR DAHLINGS!!!!!

Wahine - ooooo I so hope for no tornadoes...I grew up in CA with earthquakes and was never too worried but those tornadoes look so scary. Hope your party was a good one! Thanks for the totally awesome Sydney fireworks youtube link - very amazing, look so beautiful! We saw some folks shoot off some fireworks out on the beach but not like that! Then all night as I was sleeping I kept hearing boom, boom, boom and in my sleep I thought it was someone shooting at me!! Yipee - yes, let's have a mahvelous year dahlings!!
Junie - here here to another year of sanity-saving fun and laughter!!!
AStorm - That spa pic looks delightful, specially the GORW (glass of red wine - tee hee).
Claire - I'm sure even dressed warm you look sexy!! Hope you had fun!
Raincitygirl - culottes sounds fun, not in this weather, but maybe this summer!! Hope you are doing well!
Dorothy - cute avatar, is that you and DH? Hope you had a great NYE!
Chrissy - it is hard to keep up with all the activity here, but so good to hear from you. LOL at falling in the pool on stilettos! Hugs to you!
Goldie - wow, you went to be early! We managed to stay up till 10:30. Sounds cold there, so hope you stay warm. Let's keep on laughing all new year long at our escape zone and yes, I sure hope HD is doing okay. Beautiful snow pic! We actually have sun and blue sky, but it sure is windy and cold.
NM - green eggs and ham - you amaze me with the pics you find! LOL! Tanks for da beanie and so many funny pics this morning!! Oh good and a happy new year cocktail - yahoo!

Howdie girls,
I am sending you all rounds of your favorite cocktails, here is to you!
NM, I love your photos and especially love the one you took of our own Jocks, he is soooo cute.
Claire, happy ski-trip, I just know that is where you are!
Beans, love the picture of the hot tub, poor frosty! And yes, that is me and DH. I have learned to change it and am having fun doing so. I need to get a life, right?
Goldie, you sure went to bed early. Remember not to eat yellow snow around the HTL, HD has been around and can not be trusted. I hope you are staying toasty and warm and did not have much to do in cleaning up the snow. And yes, we looked so purdy in the pic that Pants took of us. Let's meet up again tonight.
Chrissy B, my fav loungette, I hope you are having some rest time, you sure have been busy. Remember I love ya and miss you here. And I am sorry I laughed when you fell in the pool.
Kathy, my hero, thanks again for the help with the drains. I am feeling so much more comfy now that I have them anchored down. I hated when they moved each time I lifted a drink to my face, drinking should not hurt! . enjoy the time with your family this evening and stop in for a toast!
A-storm, I also loved the pic of you in the hot tub. I can't wait to get into my hot tubbie again. I had it put in last February and really enjoyed it last winter. I have only been in a few times this year as I fear getting germs from sitting in the water with all those chemicals and my incisions had never fully healed. I will invite you all to a tubbie party when the time comes. Can't wait! It saddens me that I can't get in there.
Junie, I hope your weather has improved. It is quite nice here in NJ today, currently at 51. A big change from last week. Our snow is melting fast.
Honky, where are you, sweetie? I hope all is well. Please check in and let us know you are okay. I have not seen you since our photo shoot on Thursday night. I miss you.
I am thinking about dinner, who wants to go to lounge smorgasbord? I am trying to loose the weight I gained and I will at least behave today. I have gained a good five pounds in the past week, very bad especially considering i had surgery! One would think that I lost weight. I have to keep my belly full while tapping into the perco-fountain. I think I ought to make wiser choices though, I have been eating alot of junk food.. I have to eat more of that calorie-free food from the lounge. Our chefs are the best. Good food, no fat, nothing like it!
Well I am going to get myself on one of those hammocks that Chrissy brought in and rest my girls for a bit. I always feel better after staying still for a half hour or so.
To all, I again wish you the best year ever. Here is to 2011, this century is going tooo fast.
Titty's up girls.
Whoa, a bit much ya think?? lol. I hope you are all feeling well and content too. Love you all ♥. And keep up the great entertainment, you all rock!!

Happy New Year All! I was asleep then awake at midnight. Still stomach putrid from last dose of antibiotic. Better today. I will get my ass chewed for going off them but I am not going to be sick at work on Monday. Glad everyone had a wonderful evening. Lori....now 7pm is pretty early. I guess if you wake up in the middle of night it isnt. Looks like you need to get your snow shovel out. Nice avatar Dorothy. Beans, I am just wanting to copy and paste your post but I won't. All you gals just know I am reading and wishing you well. Junie, glad you are safe and sound. I am doing laundry. About all I feel up to right now. Exciting first day of the year....but no fear.."I'll be bock" HD
P.S. Dorothy, I didn't see any of the silicone boobs in my Surgeons office that big when he got them out. LOL!0 -
Dorothy - wowza nice titz!
HD - I'm doing laundry too, something I'm still capable of. Plus I made a mess in my oven, so almost have that cleaned up. Then my office...whew...it's really a mess. I wish you didn't have to go to work Mon. That's when I start tammy. If you'll be bock, how about a Holiday Bock?
happy 1-1-11! XXXOOO

Dorothy-sad to say I took one look at the girls with the big hooters and thought I saw scars, not a bikini top. . . . I must need more to drink!
Hunky-next time you get put on antibiotics insist on a prescription for an anti-nausea med like Zofran. There is no need to be sick while being cured of being sick!!!!!Beanie-I don't want to be visited by the ghost of Christmas 2010, 2009, 2008 or 2007! But 2011, that one has promise!
0 -
Well thank you NM for that suggestion. You know I have probably a 100 of those pills from surgeries, etc. I just don't ever take anything I guess unless doc says. I still am not going to take those anti-b's. Monday I will tell Surgeon and see what my punishment will be. He knows I am a whoosie, but not usually about oral anti-b's. I have been using them for so long but just not this type. Anyway, thanks...and will mention to him about the zofran. I feel so much better today...even having some drinks with DH. He has been so good to me through all this I don't know what to say. I think he would like that picture Dorothy posted of the big rack, or even Beanies bock beer (He likes Amberbock though)! I am afraid my new rack is no where near. LOL! I hope to be more lively now and get back to work and earn some BACON! HD
0 -
awww, HD, I hope you do not get scolded for stopping those putrid pills, I feel for you. I am constantly getting scolded by my docs for a variety of things I do and don't do. I am glad you are feeling better and can enjoy a few cocktails!
That rack I posted is the largest I have ever seen. Her PS probably needed a crane to get those impants in there. I think that poor girl messed up when selecting her bra, she probably thought 'B" stood for boulder!
I just finished registering for my 2011 health insurance and setting up my healthcare spending account. My new plan sucks, I had such awesome medical coverage and now I pay more for so much less. I'd like to thank Obamacare. I won't get started.....Enough whining, let's par-tay!!!
0 -
NM - does that mean I can keep my leftover zofran and use it for other stuff that makes me sick, like when the neighbors invite me for a potluck (gag)?? doing my 2010 taxes (gag)?? going for my next mamogram (double gag)??, etc. BTW- I was hoping I didn't offend you with puttin up the maxines...I just thought they were so funny!!!
HD - so glad you are feeling a bit better and there is no way you're a whoosie. (someone stole my holiday bock pic, but hope you can have one)
Dorothy - I'd like to copy what you said and add, insurance is a big problem! Ours goes up $20 each year and now since I used it so much it's going up by $43 per month. We have catastrophic with a high deductible, but have to stay in WA to keep insured. What a hassel. I am so happy they covered so much though. These med bills would have killed me without insurance. Anyway, lets go have a drink and forget about it.
Well, live it up and drink it down! Cheers! ~Fulll of Beans
0 -
Girlys, I have met my catastrophic the last 3 years. If I wouldn't have had insurance we would be living in a van down by the river. Mine was $5K for single and very well worth it for me. It has gone up also. I don't know how small business owners do it. Thanks for the Bock Beans. I think I am going to make it. HD
0 -
As small business owners, I can tell you it is brutal. But honestly, our insurance costs skyrocketed during the Bush tenure. The current change in our insurance is not a result of obamacare but rather the desire of insurance companies to milk and bilk. That may be true for me and not for others but I have really examined our situation and how we got there pretty carefully. Doesn't matter who is president, there isn't an insurance company who cares about anything but making money, finding loopholes, and screwing the consumer.
Now I need a big old goblet of something awesome along with one of those hot docs to take care of me for a bit

You figured out where I was. Again, the most glorious snow, but cold at the end. Just warmed up in a hot bath, and now in cashmere sweats.
They had finally opened my favorite trail - Windy Acres. So another 2k climb on top of the 3k. The most wonderful ski down, but was biting wind and shadows by then. So froze, and never did warm up until bath three hours later.
I got to see the point where you can look down Snoqualmie Pass and see the Olympic Mountains in the distance. They must be almost 100 miles away. I always find that so thrilling.
There was absolutely no one up there but me. A couple of tracks, but I could see that I was the only one who went all the way up today. I was glad when I skied down and ran into people on the upper trails. Was actually crowded towards the bottom, but that was the last 3k of an 18k + ski.
I feel just wonderful now. That is, until I do anything like move.
I have to do some work this evening. Good thing I have soup made.
I will most likely go back up tomorrow. Then I won't be able to move, so will have to work.
HD.....you have no idea how lucky I was to be in a system here in Washington State. Yes, I have had some out of pocket expenses, but so much cheaper than NY. Beans....you have no idea either. So yes, I am stuck here (having to go skiing and drink good wine to keep my insurance....kidding, love it here).
That mammoth pair reminds me of another major benefit of skiing.....I am getting my perk back. Fine on the side with radiation, but was getting some droop on the unaffected side from anastrazole. Miles and miles of ski pole action, and I see a major difference.
Bottomz up.....can we drink up the leftover champagne??? Sounds like another good idea. Happy New Year! - Claire

Enjoying a few glasses of red wine...I think its Melbac (?)...,.and munching on way too many Boulder Canyon potato chips...on the compuer and watching a Beatles movie from1964...wonderful music, but their movies were strange....but did I say I love the music....earlier watched a Tivo interview of Sir Paul on Jimmy Fallon....he looks the same as he did 45 years ago......
Celebrated NYE with my hubby and 2 kids with Shabbat dinner,,,wonderful squash soup, roast chicken, kasha etc...tonight we had our taditional NY day dinner,...chicken wings and potato knishes....
Its COLD here in Denver....
Happy 2011 to all...

Happy, Happy Day One!!!! Good start to the new year. I interrupted DH's football marathon this afternoon and told him I wanted to go to the Pub for some snacks and play some Keno.......he thought I'd finally lost my mind....but I told him it is 1-1-11....it's an omen!!!!! We had a blast! I played my usual numbers plus 1, 11, and 20....and, we actually cashed out $2 over what we'd paid in! Then, I turned in my $10 worth of scratch offs and ended up with $25 !!! Win-Win.....so of course, now I've got that gamblin' itch big time!!!
I am so totally footbowled out! I did enjoy watching OSU kick butt--goooo BOOMER SOONERS!!! But, gotta find me some good books to get me through the next few days!!!
Weather has calmed down--back to very cold with flurries in forecast...will take furries any day over a friggin' tornado!!!
Feeling pretty mellow just now, so taking my dog beer out to the pool and think I'll just happily sway in a hammock til morning Need to tip the tenders big time--boy, did they have a mess to clean up this morning!!!
huggssss to ALL!!!!

Happy First Sunday of 2011, Loungettes! The Tenders and Wenches put on some party, don't they? And, boy the mess they had to clean up! And they still have a wonderful breakfast buffet set out for us:
And Pants even put a panda in my coffee!
DOTD: Happy Sunday!
1 oz Dark Rum
1/2 oz Sweet Sherry
2 tsp Overproof Rum
3 tbsp Vanilla Ice Cream
1/2 oz Grenadine0 -
Holy cow, those are some BIG girlz! That must be what Dolly looks like! Looks like they put fricking basketballs in there. No thanks!
HD, glad to hear you are feeling better and able to celebrate with DH. LOL @ Dorothy on B = Boulder. Hey I wonder if your health plan is more than ours. Our costs over $2000 a month, and we each have a $3000 deductable. Over $30,000 a year for health insurance. We were looking for a new plan, hoping for a cheaper one, and actually had someone quote us $8000 a month! REALLY????
Junie, better to win, even if just a little. I know you had some fun! It is still cold here, we had our faucet in the master bath freeze up, so last night we left it drip, but only on the cold side, so the hot is froze up this morning. But all other sinks and showers ok. NM, love it when we have ice cream in our DOTD....thank you!
0 -
NM, Yes....Happy First Sunday in the New Year, and what a funny cartoon! Love, love, love the fantabulous buffet the TT's put out for us. They DO spoil us, don't they! I have a question....do you think anyone would mind if I borrow them to help me with my dinner party tonight??? Will have 15 people, and I an not only not used to cooking for that many, but am trying desperately to find enough tables/chairs to fit everyone! Actually the tables/chairs aren't the prroblem, it is WHERE to put them!!! Esp cause of the flooring area that is torn up. The rest of the family will meet my stepdau's fiance for the first time, and it will be just the 2nd time I will have seen him, and they are getting married in 3 days. Well, that is the plan anyway.....I will believe it when I see it! I think his late mother was just 2 yrs older than my stepdau when she passed away a few months ago.....ok do the math everyone....yup she is robbing the cradle! LOL.
OMG Lori, you have the snow, the cold, and now the frozen pipes! So sorry to hear that. Hope they don't burst! Didn't realize you had to have the hot AND cold dripping....we have always been told here to just leave the cold dripping, to keep pipes from freezing. That sucks! And what humongous amounts some of you are having to pay for health ins! Wow. Gov't workers have good health coverage, so I guess I have been lucky there. When I had to pay for cobra for 3 of us after my late DH died, it seemed sooo high then. And then when I went back to work I paid for health ins thru work AND kept the cobra in case I didn't like my job and wanted to quit! Had all the bases covered, but it sure cost a lot to do that. DH now has medicare plus our Blue Cross, so he doesn't have to worry about deductibles, etc.
Junie, Yay,yay, yay!!! Glad 1-1-11 was lucky for you and you had a great time! You might want to go back on the 11th of Jan.... that will be 1-11-11. AND I think a super lucky day will be in November.... 11-11-11. Actually I was thinking that would be a good time to go to the casino, so might plan a trip then! We should all meet up, how lucky would that be! We're booking ourselves and parents on a cruise in May...balcony rooms...and goes to St. Thomas and St. Maarten which we love. I forget where else though. Other than that and our trip to Alaska this month, no other travel plans right now. Need to catch up on needed repairs/improvements at home for awhile....esp need to try to get our floors repaired!!!
Well girlz, I am procrastinating...posting here instead of getting to work for tonigh! Beans, your pics were sooooo funny....I laffed so hard,..esp loved the Maxine one about the resolutions! NM, wowsa that was some hunk with the champange, and also thought the "Beanie" for our Beans, was so cute!!!! Dorothy, for some reason, your last pic won't show up for me, I just get that dreaded red "x"....what did I miss? Laffed at the "Boulder Boobs"! Oh, and NM, I have never heard of "ovenproof" rum...learn something new here every day! Really sunny here today, but cold!
Super Sunny Sunday to my Sensational Sexy Sistas!
Kathy

Claire - do the chair lifts still have those signs that read, "tips up?" That always made me laugh and I'd pull my tits up as I got on the lift (along with my ski tips). I must be a looney, everything cracks me up. Those views sound mahvelous dahling!
HonkyD - Hope you are continuing to feel better...thinking of you everyday!!
Karen - I loved the Beatles when I was a kid, seems so overplayed now, but some of the music I still enjoy. Which movie? They had some cute ones way back when...sounds like a wonderful NYE!
Junie - Happy Day Two!! Good start, haven't fallen off the planet yet, but maybe tomorrow...I start the dreaded Tamoxifen...sounds like you were on a roll yesterday, good job!! Sounds so fun! I don't have the "sports gene," so never watch games. However, DH found this show on the Internet I think it's called AxMen, it's about loggers in WA, OR, Montana, Louisiana, Florida swamps and mountains. Wow, they have tremendously foul language, every other word is beeped out. So glad you had fun!!
NM- fantastic buffet, many thanks! Looks so beautiful!
Goldie - Your health plan sounds expensive. We have a catastrophic plan through Lifewise of WA which is I think Blue Shield or Blue Cross?? So our deductible is high, but the monthly payments are reasonable. Glad to hear you are shopping around and I hope you find something better! I am fed up with all this cold!! So sorry your faucet froze up - I hate that! We've had that so many times in the mountains...
Wahine - You sure have a fun new avatar, I've still got my whiney kitten, I think that fits me for now. You sure stay busy! 15 people for a dinner party would put me over the edge. I think I'd just have to order pizza. Robbing the cradle is common in my fam, mostly the women go for younger men, but my bros wife is considerably younger. Whatever works, I guess! Sounds like you have some fun travel plans coming up! Alaska looks so beautiful, I hope you have a great time!
Speaking of travel...I thought I was going to be barely able to move but I am feeling really good. I'm ready to rock and roll. We are heading south next week to visit family and find some warm sun (if it exists anywhere). I still have a number of SE's but I figure some of that is just the "new normal" so I'll just roll with whatever. It'll get better, worse or stay the same. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel different if Tammy gives me a whammy!!?? Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting on the road with DH and goffing off.
We have a new plan to look for a sail boat. So I've got a few harbors on the coast of CA I'll be trying to hit up. I took sailing lessons for quite a while in the San Francisco Bay many years ago. The sail boats are so beautiful. There's a boat show sometime in Jan in Seattle too that we may get to. Boat shows are so fun cuz you can just go in and out of all these vastly different boats (and dream!!)...some have such beautiful wood and features (and huge price tags!!). I used to go to boat shows in Jack London Square in Oakland, CA and had so much fun...I don't know how much sailing I can do now that my right arm is impaired, but I can sure dream and I know I can motor around and tinker around and manage to get whacked in the head by the boom! We're driving my 4-runner which just turned 250K miles on the orig eng. DH has been going through it to make sure all is okay for the drive. What a great car!! I'm bringing my lap top so will check in as I can...proly leavin Wed???
Sorry to go on and on but I'm so excited about taking a road trip!!! For the moment I'm poolside in the sun and have dog beers on order from the TT's. It's a beautiful day!!
Happy day 2 of 2011!! Cheers!!!

Kathy, good luck on party. You gals that are retired make me jello-us. Bean-us, you make me envious too. The thought of a vacation just makes me teary eyed. I havent been anywhere for 3 years. It has been my fault choosing reconstruction after treatment, but now the financial and work woes have put those dreams on the back burner. Lori, sorry about your cold snap. We haven't had to do the water drip yet this year. Feeling better each day and it is a good thing cause it is work tomorrow. And...another pull with the syringe. Syringe pulls still better than JP drains in my opinion. I had 6 JP drains at once. Not fun. All xmas decor boxed up and put away. Time to get my a$$ in gear. HD

Happy first Sunday! I've done all my housework to clean up after the holiday and it's pretty quiet here. Tomorrow I will go full speed into a really hectic month. I have a full dance card already and lots of phone calls and email requests for appointments. Wondering if I should charge a premium for early morning and evening appointments since that is all I can do for them... hmmm
hunky - hope you are feeling better soon. You have more than paid your dues! Anitbiotics really mess up my digestive system -- I always eat yogurt with live cultures. I had so many rounds of anti-b's last year that I started taking acidophilus. I made you a little parfait...
Claire - Your lifestyle sounds like a terrible way to suffer poor girl! Yes, I'd keep that insurance if I were you. I've been pretty lucky that DH has good insurance but just before my little adventure with medical care, he lost his job (and insurance). We had to get an indiviual policy and it was very expensive, didn't cover much and they were very particular about pre-existing conditions. I waited for 6 months to go to the dr so that we would have group insurance again at his new job. What the heck is "leftover champagne"? We had half a bottle of Veuve Clicquot on the counter after everyone left and DH asked me what to do with it... I said that I didn't understand the question. He clarified that he meant what is the best way to store an open bottle of champagne. With furrowed brow, I poured it into 2 glasses and carried it into the bedroom.... duh!
Beanie - "Tips up!" LOL. I like your avatar -- I thought the kitty was laughing, not whining! I've been trying to find a laughing corgi pic so I can join the party cuz you look like you are having a great time! I've been on Tamoxifen for about a year and a half and I've gained weight (don't know if I can blame the Rx), lost hair (which is ok cuz i have a lot), lost my Aunt Flo and now my knees hurt like an old person. I don't know how much of this I can attribute to the tamoxifen, as I am also approaching 50 (yikes!) but I'm looking forward to getting off it someday. Hope you'll share your sailboat with your HTL friends. I'm sure we can get the Tenders to help man the sails.
Our first sailing adventure should be to go rescue the snow-bound sisters.
NM - so glad you are on the East Coast so you can manage the morning buffets! Awesome - you and the Tenders have outdone yourselves once again... that coffee is too cute to drink. We have some coffee baristas here who make capuccinos that you don't want to drink cuz they are too perty. I always try to sip from the side so I don't disturn the pattern. My favortie is the heart:
I'm hoping DD stays at the bakery long enough to get training as a barista.
Wahine - enjoy your dinner party! We could all sit in the jacuzzi and sip wine while the Tenders help you out... I'm sure they would like a break from the HTL as we keep them so busy!
Well my scrawny little scaredy-cat just crawled in my lap... he rarely does this and he is purring. Maybe the Tenders can start a fire in the fireplace for me before they go to Kathy's house for the dinner party... I'd hate to disturb this kitty.
Thanks, guys...

I honestly couldn't drink the entire bottle New Year's Eve, but will finish tonight. Just got back from skiing and think I am ready for traction!! But so glorious.
Beans......they don't use chairlift bars that much these days with snowboards. Very different from the East, where all the lifts I have been on still have them. I use them as not much holding my x-country skis in place. Speaking of chairlift....was on the "refreshing" side so glad I wasn't doing downhill today. Glad too, that I skied in the sun.
Was slow skiing today as really was that tired. But the only way to train. Hoping I can do the Hog Loppet which is just 8 weeks away.
Looks like everyone is easing into the New Year just fine. I get the "no money after treatment" but I did go to NYC (stayed with friends) back in August. However, that trip was more about my professional life than a real vacation. Then there was the Labor Day camping/cycing trip. Hoping to do a skiing weekend in addition to/in place of the Hog Loppet.
I have to get ready for the week ahead. Still have some work to do, but think I am just fine. Not quite where I wanted to be, but have the basics covered. Skiing is too important.
I think I could use a hot tub about now. Then dinner and drinks. Will be the bath, work, then make dinner + finish the champagne. Not all that bad come to think of it.

Not good with this picture thing when I'm feeling good really bad at it now! Love all the pictures.
