how about drinking?

Good morning, Loungettes! I got through my 12 hour clinical day from hell, only 4 more to go. I did the "I've been made aware of your concerns, I'm sorry and there will be no retiation" talk first think in the morning, so I was in tears by 7 am. All day long I was afraid to say anything because it might be miscontrued. 2 students took me aside to tell me they weren't involved and think the whole thing is rediculous. 1 student told me she was involved but what I was told was not what she said. A couple didn't know what I was talking about. A couple students avoided me all day. I've got to call my boss today and discuss how the day went, which should be a wonderful discussion (sarcasm filter active) as I have no idea what to say about how the day went. How can I judge how things are going if I didn't have a clue anything was wrong in the first place? On the up side, I have a job interview on Friday, and have been told that I have an "extremely excellent" chance of getting the position, even though I can't move into it immediately. So far no one at the university knows I 'm planning to leave, so at least my evals should be relatively untainted. I hope. Actually I don't care.
Ahh, he$$, I need a drink, a big strong drink, a soak in the hot tub, more big strong dwinkies, some fwoaty time in the pooly. A gwood fwoot wub, too. Ahhhhhhhhh.
Wahine--so glad surgery went well and you are feeling better! After my recon I used one of those pillow/bacrest thingys
behind some pillows to keep me propped up and more comfy. I even used a second one to put my feet up on!
Kymm--new wig! Yeah! Good for you! I'm glad you walked away from the uncompassionate clerks.
Junie--prayers and good thoughts going out to you! Get well soon!
karen--I love the snake report! How funny! I wonder if that woman is running around with a silicone boob implant that is laced with snake venom now. If the implant starts to leak will she have snake bite symptoms? Can you imagine worrying about that all your life?
AStorm--YUMMY! I can't wait to make some!
Dorthy--what a wondeful trip you have planned! I bet you are going to have a grand time, and I hope you win lots and lots and lots!
Hi, Crissyb--hope your blood pressure is better today. Not fun feeling tipsy when you haven't had the fun of the drinking.
St. Patty's day is today? Tomorrow? I seem to be having a hard time keeping track of when it falls. We definately need a PARTAY to celebrate!
How about this for a DOTD? Green Bomber
1 pint Beer
1 part Gin
1 part Melon Liqueur
1 part Sweet Vermouth
1 part Lime Juice
Best served in a Shot Glass.Directions
Combine melon liqueur, gin, lime juice, and sweet vermouth into a shot glass. Drop the shot into a pint of beer. Drink both the shot and the beer at the same time.0 -
I just can not keep up with you all. Such terrible news about Junie, thanks for the update Kathy. Dorothy, you got me some lotioned tissues the other day, and I never said thank you. How rude! So "Thank You", and I apologize. How is your shitty titty doing?
I think mention of MO was when Junie was in the hospital, wasn't it in MO? Kathy, you will be feeling fine in no time.
Kymn, hoping you have a smooth easy day tomorrow. You will be fine! You will get through this. And we will all be there with you. I found you another wig! Well, extensions. And only for $30!
Chicago
Looking forward to celebrating tomorrow

NM, we bumped! Glad things went well and that some of your students opened up to you. But, this just isn't meant to be and you are Movin On!
LOVE your first cartoon! Way to go girl!

What cute cartoons NM! And neat pics of the pink leopard extensions and Green Chicago River, Lori! Looks like a lot of drunken leprechauns runnning around today. They will be flat-ass drunk tomorrow! Yeah Lori you are right, that must be why Dorothy was thinking Junie was in MO....that other hospital was in St. Louis. Glad you cleared that up, I was thinking Dorothy was dwinking her share, my share and more that that! J/K, Dorothy, you know I am kidding! But you do still need to dwink for me, even NM's cute sounding dwink does not look good yet. Had a very bad 2-hr session "you-know-where"...pills had not helped and all the plumbing was blocked up pretty bad (had to use the "e" word). TMI I know. Feel better now, but still feeling puny...no enegy as it is hard to sleep too. NM that pillow looked good.....I remember having them yrs ago, and would have helped a lot right now I am sure. DH thought I would feel up to running errands tonight and watching him play r-ball ....ummmmmmm... NOT! I took the dressings off and have to leave the steri-tape (?) on over all the stitches, but it looks like all is fine. Lots of bruises, but nothing unusual.I think the side incisions are about 5" long, ea, plus the lipo on the boob. Sore all over, but no more pain meds for me...that first day was all I could take of that.
Chrissy, you were so sweet to sway me to sleep. NM, glad you endured that long day. Good to know that all the students were not responsible for it. I am sure some of them appreciate what you have done for them. You have the right attitude.....you go girl!
Hoping all you other loungettes are doing well today. I know you must be getting so excieted, Dorothy!!! Puleez tell us what you decided to wear, in hopes of getting chosen. Beans, any word from the builder??? Kymn, hang in there girl. We are with Junie today, then will be with you soon! Junie I hope you are doing better today and will get to go home SOON. As my DH always tells me... "Get well soonest"!
ChEARS to all you fun chicas,
Kathy

Oh grrrrr so how do you past a link? There is a very cute you tube video that I wanted to post... It is Roy Zimmerman singing "What if the Beatles were Irish" But alas I can't post. Why can't I figure this out?
Yikes Kathy - sounds like a much more involved surgery and recovery... poor thing. You must be in pain to keep you down....
Awful about Junie- Hope they can get her well quickly and back home.
So many posts... hard to keep up. NM.- I just hate you are going through all this. I once had something sort of similar - not as bad at all and I do remember how totally torn up you feel. I'm so sorry! Hope your interview on Friday is fantastic ! You deserve to be somewhere you are appreciated.
Price is Right ! Oh Boy!!! When will it air?? It isn't live is it?
Kymn - you will do fine tomorrow and very glad you got away from those awful wig people and onto some who were nice and helpful. I think if you are going to have a business where you deal with people going through difficult and scary times then they should have to go through some sort of compassionate training... do you think there is such a thing?
Oh, will have to look back and can't without losing post. Still have to figure out that two screen thingy...... Spring is here - the Cherry trees are in blossom and the cardinals are flying ( along with dreaded blue heron) , and pollen and allergies are getting ready to hit us in the face - Oh Boy!

Claire - love all your recipes - you sounds like a wonderful and healthy cook. So question on the lamb shanks and I'd love to try that. So you don't need any oil or anything and you just pop it in the oven? Covered or uncovered?
So would kids eat corned beef and cider - I really can't imagine what it tastes like. Is corned beef fatty? I don't even know what it looks like?
Love hearing about all your art work. I'm looking for a painting or some artwork for one fairly large wall in my den. The other side is glass doors and the room is country french with yellows and blue's - wondering about ebay but haven't ever tried so interesting you found a tapestry.... OK really need to try and figure out taxes but????
HD - hope you are feeling better - we miss you. And Goldi - where are you?
Chrissy hope the blood pressure goes down and you feel better. I had no idea it could make you feel that way - I'm sure that is scary.
Kathy - feel better soon. Glad the bus is traveling!!! Hey does the bus have a name? Seems like we need to come up with one!

I am 4 posts above Stanzie........LOL, and here!
Is this the link you were looking for?

Oh, NM, love that girl! And her attitude! I don't usually encourage that sort of language with my DDs but I think DD1 needs to see that one! I'm sure she's feeling a lot like you are right now... Love the baby in the cake too... DD1's daycare had a little party for her on her 1st bday. She had new shoes and she had taken one off and was playing with it when she was given cake. She didn't want the cake at all, just wanted to admire her shoe! When prompted by Daycaremom to try the cake, she gingerly dipped the shoe into the frosting and licked it!
Hoping Junie is okay. Have a good day everyone!

Love that "Irish" Beatles link...thanks to the team of Stanzie and Lori! So funny!!!! Lori, your goldfish pic is so cute....didn't show up for me earlier. Our satellite dish went out and been waiting 3 hrs so far for the repairman, plus the d/w is supposed to be delivered....I will hide in the bedroom! Stanzie, the pain really isn't so bad, it is the not being comfortable to sleep, and not being able to do anythng that is the worst part. Finally can get a shower this afternoon, but will have to wear the darn Support Hose till Sat. No going to Tunica for this healing gal, and I was looking forward to it.

Stanzie.....
On the lamb shanks, no you don't need any oil. I bake COVERED in a Le Creuset casserole.
Corned beef is brisket which can be very fatty. But some is relatively lean. So worth seeking out if twice as expensive but 3x the amont of meat. A lot of the fat leeches into the cooking liquid so the end product isn't that bad. And not like you eat every week.
Corned beef and cider has a flavor profile closer to ham than anything I can think of. Or very moist beef jerky. You might be able to get them to eat it if you present it this way.
Reminder that I need to buy tomorrow's eats today while I have my wits about me. I think I will do a soda bread too. Cabbage is delish if braised as opposed to waterlogged slabs. Will make Potaotes Anna to go with everything. My friends are bringing apple crumble and wine. I have beer. Talk about having it covered!!
Still coughing, but so much livelier. Think recent "endorphin release" helped too.
Will pass on green beer and such........
Friend's husband is continuing his campaign with an "overwork is bad for you" post. I had to restrain myself not doing a "reply all" and mentioning that there is little danger of his suffering from that ill. As this point, I feel sorry for my friend, and it's not like she hasn't hinted that he has a difficult side.
Wahine.....congrats on the shower. My take is that being antsy is a good sign as means you are on the mend. - Claire

Kymn - had to dig thru the attic, but whew, did find my passport and got it dusted off, so will be there tomorrow. It will be so fun to meet ya and spike your coctail with green beer.
Dotty and I got the bus so loaded with likker it will be such a spectacular silly tipsy trip. Thanks Dot for all your hep!!!
Waiting to hear from Junie then heading to Canada.
NM - fantastic post today, so funny and Goldie that fish hoping out is perfect.
wahine - hope you are continuing to do well, no news from the builder, so I might just build the darn thing myself - ha ha ha! I did take wood shop, so I might do it!!
Claire - thinking about planning for old age, I guess my cabin should have been single story! ha, I'm building a two story. I'm really happy about all your art work, it just sounds great.
AStorm - love all the shoe pics, so fun!!
I have been upset about what's going on in Japan. My heart goes out to the people there. I also know the Japanese people are so strong and that they will get past this, but it's so hard to see people go through these troubles. Wish there was more I could do to help.
Wish we could hear from HD too! Anyway, thinking of you all with love and hugs, Beanie

Beans, I just got an email from Delta, and not only are they (among others!) collecting money for the Japanese people, but you can donate miles through Delta (and looks like Continental just sent me a similar request). With Delta, it goes to World Vision Japan, a leading humanitarian organization focused on helping children, families and communities We (Delta) have already committed to matching up to 5 million miles in donations to World Vision Japan, and through the Delta Air Lines Foundation, we (Delta) have contributed $250,000 to the Japanese Red Cross Society to support rescue and recovery efforts.
Just imagine if everyone donated extra miles, how far that would go. Anyway, I know you all are getting bombarded with requests to help Japan, but I thought the miles thing seemed like a good idea.
Kymn, My passport is always ready to go on a new adventure! Looks like Beans found hers, and if someone doesn't have one, we will just shrink them really teeny tiny and no one will even see them! Last time we were on a cruise bus bringing us back to Seattle from Vancouver, the agents boarded our bus, and OF COURSE I was the one picked for testing the dog. The agent put something behind my purse (or in it, I forget), and I had to sit still while this German Shephard with nice big teeth was all over me, getting to whatever it was they hid on the far side of me! I love big dogs, but big "trained to find drugs or bombs" dogs are another story! But I am sure our HTL bus will make it across the border just fine, into Calgary, then into your town! Someone asked about naming our bus, but me thinks it already has a name. If so, can anyoine remember it????
Junie, hope you are home recovering, I don't want to call and bother you yet. HunkyD, Hope you are feeling better, as well as Lori with those horrid allergies. All you other fantastic girlies, lets get on this bus and PARTAY!!!!!!
DILLIGAF? (Of course I do!),
Kathy

Hi again Girlz.....boy I sure am posting a lot...sorry to take over this thread so much! BUT just wanted you all to know that Junie really appreciated us showing up on the bus, and following her home. Yes, she did get to come home today. Still a lot of recovery, but hopefully she will feel up to posting soon. She really wanted me to let you know she misses all of you, and says hello.
And junie, we have TONS of iced buckets of dog beers here that you can't let go to waste! J/K....just get better and join us asap!
The satellite guy had to replace one of our boxes THE ONE that had the Betty White movie from Stanzies street, and so many shows I had wanted to watch. So its all gone. Dang! Oh well, this is minor.

wahine - thanks for the donation ideas...isn't it too bad, not too long ago DH and I could go up to Canada (30 min drive) and back without a passport!!! Just could go in and out. Oh well, times change. I'm so glad the bus had made it to Junie and now up to Kymn tomorrow...
Happy Happy Joy Joy Junie!!!! Such good wishes for you!!! Sreehc Dna God sneerG Sreeb!!!

Happy St. Patty Eve!
Hey, what is green and stays outside all night?......
Patty'O Furniture
Chrissy, awww, sorry about the BP issues. I have had them in the past and the fluctuations really beat me up. Drink alot of water, eat and drink more water. Then a beer, then more water. I hope you are having a great day. And don't forget, we are all Irish on St. Patty's Day! Here is a beer. And a water....
This is my morning post since I may not make it here in the AM. Yup, slept late again, still don't know wut up wit dat one!
So.....ladies, drinks on the house today. Let's toast to good luck for all of us. May our pains go away, may our ailments disappear and never reappear, and may the bar never run out of dwinks!!! Cheers!
Kymn, I will be thinking of you a lot tomorrow and hope you can pop in and let us know how you make out. I hope that it goes well and know you are in my prayers. I have faith that you will do well. But we are still coming, jest o'case (that is another example of a phrase my DD used when she was little)....we will pump you up with laffing gas and have your team of docs/nurses o'so baffled as to why you are so giggly cuz they will not see us! Keep your chin up lil sister!
Kathy, glad to see you are on the mend. I hope you are able to sleep better tonight. Maybe the shower will help, I think Pants will wash your back if you ask him nicely. So nice of Chrissy to rock you to sleep. And great news on Junie, I had to leave before she got sprung. I appreciate the update silly girl, no need to apologize! Oh, have you peaked yet?? Can't wait to hear!
NM, loved all of your pics and corresponding posts, great job as always. a suggestion to the students that are avoiding you, stare them down, look them right in the eye and linger. That will make them nutty and be great fun. Make an evil face too as you gaze at the trouble making be-otches! I just love how you pick yourself up with such ease. You're a tough one!
Lori, you stopped in for an afternoon drinky, darn darn, I missed ya. And so far still good w/shitty titty. I plan on changing the surgical tape tonight but it is not red nor dripping so I think she will be pritty-titty soon! thanks for asking, you are sweet.
Astorm great story about DD on her first bday, so cute. I love the bottom pair of shoes. If only I could walk in them.
Stanzie, I would like to know the name of the bus. If no one can remember, we may have to rename it. (Kathy, think!!). It was nice picking you up, I loved seeing the lovely flowering trees bloom, it is not happening here yet. I LOVE this time of year when everything begins to turn green again.
So Beans, I had fun loading the bus with you and our boys. Thanks for saving me from falling after tripping over Pant's shoe lace. It is nice to see you and you looking good girl. I think you must feel good and that makes me feel good.
Claire, "DH optional" ....funny you say that, he is in MY tubby all the time and makes me wait on him. Paybacks will be welcome in due time. Glad you are feeling better. You must have felt so awful to not keep up with your regular activities.
Karen, funny story about the implant-eating snake! Nice to see you too.
Well time to sit with HD for a bit and then the comfy bed on da bus. To all, have a very lucky and happy St. Patty's Dey Thirst-dey! Sweet dreams girls. See ya in the morning.
<Chrissy, no shenanigans while I sleep>...

Kymn, Remember we are on our waaaaaaay! See ya soon, and don't worry if you can't see us as we can get wee teeny tiny. All our hands will be holding your hand, and giving you support! Not sure about if you should eat, but someone that went thru that will surely comment soon. (((Hugs))) and Hope you get some GOOD sleep tonight!
Dorothy now why didn't I think of having Pants wash my back???? Can't reach that far yet.....
My Am Idol favs tonight are Pia, Paul, James, and Jacob. Who else watched tonight?
kathy

Dorothy.....I think a VERY feminine bath oil will probably discourage DH. But payback should be fun.
Kymm.......make sure you DO eat. You will need the energy. Sometimes I got lunch and chemo depending on timing.
I am not joking when I say this was worse than chemo. Happy to be on the other side of things. Still coughing, but fever is gone.
We have flowering trees here in Seattle, and also spring bulbs. Saw a jasmine in flower yesterday. However snowing in the mountains.
Beans......really is a long way up there. Near Mt Baker. Must be soooooo pretty. I need to look up the Daffodil and Tulip rides to whip my hide back into riding season.
I am sure your cabin will be magical.
Hoping to go skiing this weekend. Of course, I could do something like a short route, but I doubt this will be happening. Will take extra energy goo.
The most amazing sunset over the Puget Sound right now......
Name for the bus: HTRV. Or Hot Tatties Road Vehicle. Does that work???? - Claire
0 -
If no one remembers what the name of the bus is (did you name it Gail, or NM?)...then Claire's suggestion works for me... HTRV....or if we can mention its a party bus in its name???? Glad you're feeing better, Claire. Get some sleep tonight Dorothy!!!! Beans, we can all come over and build your cabin! Gail and I can even bring our own tools.
0 -
I don't know if the bus had a name... the bus was an impulse buy on a day when I needed a way to transport myself away from my life and a party bus seemed like the most logical solution... and how could I have a party without my friends?
Well... I got tools but I think we need to get some hunky contractors to keep us on track...
0 -
Kymm....yes, you can eat before, during and after chemo.....I always brought lunch with me or sent DH out to get me a smoothie....not sure that I ate all that much, but just in case....I know I drank the strawberry smoothie though......
Junie....glad to hear that you are back home....
I got an email from United about earning miles for donations.....
Claire....quite the St. Patty's day celebration you have planned.....I generally don't work on Th, but the monthly dept meeting is tomorrow....though I am not required to go since its not a work day, I feel that I'm missing out if I don't....so I have that in the morning, then I am meeting one of my dearest BFF for lunch....it is her b'day.....and her name is Patty!!!!
Wahine....how are you feeling? still don't remember what type of surgery you had
Dorothy....thanks for the drinks tonight....they were great...so sweet of you to treat us all
Beans....love the cat pic for your avatar...so mishcievious!!! (sp)
NM...how did your day go....sounded pretty hard this morning...sure hope it got better
Gail...love the shoe/b;day cake story!!!! how old is your DD?
It was 70 something in Denver today.....too warm for mid March!!! going to be warm like this for the next couple days.....but we could still get snow....Denver hasn't even had an inch this month!!!
So tired this week...this time change has really gotten to me.....been going to bed earlier each night and more tired the next morning.....its only 9:15 and I'm alread thinking about bed!!!! un heard of for me....
Sweet dreams to one and all....Stanzie, Lori, Chrissy, HD and all the other wonderful girls here....

Good morning, green Loungettes! Happy St. Patty's Day to everyone!
Gonna be a long day at work today, teaching then meetings, at least it will end up with the monthly church Ladie's group meeting which is always fun. Just got to get through today, then we're on spring break, then only 4 more clinical days. Can't beleive I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow morning's interview! I'm getting anxious to get back to home care, and working directly with patients again.
I can see the lounge staff is setting up for tonight's party already--hoo boy, gonna be fun!
HTRV--I like the sound of that! Good idea!

Top 'O The Mornin' to you,
Love all the graphics, NM! And hoping the best for your interview tomorrow, although I have a feeling you will ace it. Kymn, we are almost there...... dwinking our green beer and eating our green eggs & ham (yucko). By the time we arrive we will have a big Corned Beef meal to share with you. Dorothy, I used your joke on DH this morning as he is SO proud he is part Irish. I asked him if he was aware we actually had Irish furniture. *drum roll*.......Then your answer..."The Paddy 'O Furniture!". aarrgghhhhhh.....but I had fun saying that! He still has to pull me up to get out of bed, so I can't be toooooo mean to him yet. Our Earth Fare grocery has 1/2 off their Hot Bar today, and it looks like they have corned beef on it too...they have yummy food. Also, an upscale sports restaurant (sounds like an oxymoron!) has free corned beef dinners today for their members (I joined..it was free...), so IF I feel like getting dressed and getting out, I might not have to cook. Otherwise its a good thing that corned beef is not sold frozen or I would be outta luck getting some to cook today. But I may just send DH out on errands, and he can bring dinner home. Who else is cooking a corned beef dinner tonight? Stanzie, did you break down and decide to try some? It is REALLY yummy, but like Claire said, can be rather fatty. I do like it boiled in the seasoning pkt w/ potatoes, carrots, onions, and cabbage, though. So moist! OOPS I forgot, we are in Canada and the wenches are making us all a corned beef/cabbage feast!!!!
Salainte!
Irish Kathy
I looked it up, and the name Kathy is of Irish origin, and its meaning is "Pure".

Great news on Junie, glad you are back home........now stay there!
Kathy, glad you are feeling better, but easy does it.
Kymn, we are going to have so much with you today. You are gonna go home and say to yourself "I can't believe I got this worked up". Of course, EAT. I often would have lunch brought to me at the cancer center I went to. Sit there and eat or watch tv or recline and sleep. Are your treatments every 2 weeks x 6? I take it you did not get a port, I don't remembering you mentioning that, and I am sure you would have! I got you a little Hello Kitty to hang bedside with you.
Ok, I thought we called the bus "The Magic Party Bus"
Happy St. Patricks Day!
0 -
Oh I like that T-shirt Lori!!! And cute pink leopard Hello Kitty for Kymn. YOU ARE RIGHT.....I knew someone would remember (and knew it wouldn't be me...LOL)! We need to keep to the original name.....so "The Magic Party Bus" is what it is. That really does describe it well, as we like to party, and our bus is magical to be able to go across country and to other countries in a heartbeat. Thanks to you for having a good memory!!!! Do you remember who named it? Was it you, or Gail???
I think we should order those T-shirts for us to wear on the bus today!!!!

HAPPY ST. PAT'S DAY!!!!!! as I type this, here in Aus it has just finished....my clock has just struck midnight. Hope all have a great day with the green beer, green rivers and corned beef and cabbage dinners! Kymm, I can't catch the bus as I have no passport (yet) so I'm with you in spirits....uhem......spirit. Maybe I've already had too many spirits....but I'm not tellin. Goo luc wid the chremo.......ahem.....chemo....ahem.....I'm holding your hand. To ebby bod, haf a esselen day! Ooops! jus falled down....hahahahaha! Leprechauns UP!!!!!!
0 -
Hi Kymn - Looks like you got your answers about eating...I always drank a lot of water before and brought granola bars with me...also at the center they had juice, sandwiches, etc. I made a point of having something in my stomach before chemos. Then they always started with pre-meds that prevented side effects. I got a gallon drinking bottle and just started drinking tons of water, juice, etc. to keep flushing my system. One last piece of advice....KEEP YOUR TITZ UP!!!
Dorthy - cute O'joke there! Here's one for you!
An Irishman, by the name of O'Malley proposed to his girl on St. Patrick's Day. He gave her a ring with a synthetic diamond. The excited young lass showed it to her father, a jeweller. He took one look at it and saw it wasn't real.
The young lass on learning it wasn't real returned to her future husband. She protested vehemently about his cheapness.
'It was in honour of St. Patrick's Day, 'he smiled.
'I gave you a sham rock.'
And thanks for the drinks and I'll def toast to good luck for all of us, great sentiment and thanks for helping me with the dwinks on the bus!!! I love the laffing gas for Kymn too, great idea - ha ha ha - I think it's working on me...he he he giggle giggle...It def worked on Chrissy!!!
Wahine - Oh I love all your cute St Pats pics, so nice...are you feeling up to some green beer today for our trip to Canada? I like how we can get so tiny and quiet when we go visiting...sure is a fun bus ride!!! So will the HTRV drive ya'll over here to help me build my cabin - super cool and fantastic!! You gals are de Best! Maybe we can add a lumber rack to the bus? Are you cooking corned beef? We aren't. We're still working on this pulled pork recipe by Tyler Florence on foodnetwork...it's so good! At least there is cabbage in the form of cole slaw!
Gale Storm - Oh goodie, you have tools and can round up some contractors - yippee!!
Claire - so sorry you got hit with such a nasty bug, but sounds like you're on the mend so don't let it get you down. Some days I think I do too much and get really tired and then I feel so so so out of it that it scares me, but once I rest up I seem to be fine again. So glad the fever is gone, the cough may take some time, but it'll dissipate soon too. That's so nice you are seeing signs of spring. You would not believe the downpour we had in the mtns yesterday! It was a combo of snow, hail and rain all whooshing down, quite fun to watch. Today looks bright blue and sunny. I think you're right the cabin will be magical as it will take some magic to get a builder out here! We have a friend who does grading so I think in a few weeks we can at least get him out here. Then I have a hammer and a saw - ha ha ha!! Love the HTRV, I just love a road trip!!!
Karen - How nice to have 70s weather, sounds like spring is coming to Denver. I hear you about the time change. We get up at 5 am and now that is really like 4 am! Been a bit out of sorts all week. I'm jealous of Goldie in AZ as they don't have to go through this stupid time change ordeal every 6 months!

Ha, ha, ha, Beans soooooo funny! The "sham rock" joke and the dog admiring the other dogs "shamrocks"! And the irish men drinking in a flooded area! Too much! Hmmmmmm.....not sure though if I want a lumber rack on our magic bus....then it will feel more like a work bus. I bet if we wanted lumber there though, for your cabin, we could have it magically appear! Esp today, and we could get the leprechauns to help out. If you want an easy recipe that makes either southern pulled pork or hawaiian kalua pig, let me know. It is so good and so easy.
Hate to say it, but I will have to have only cyber dwinks today.....cyber green beer, etc. Still not up to that yet. But I will pretend to hold up a huge icy mug of green beer...is that ok??? Kymn, how are you doing? We are so teeny tiny that I can't see your expression, so you gotta let us know. You will do great!
Hugs to all, and Slainte!
Kathy
