Good morning Girlz......Kathy, have fun! Hey Dort, lets go start a bon fire outside, have some spiked coffee and how about some of Stanzie's brownies! I love a good camp fire. Anyone else want to join us? NM, I love love love the cartoon "I love my computer cuz my friends are in it". It says it perfectly and it is SO true! I'm all for boarding the bus to torment your employers. We should take brownies, but lace these ones with Exlax!

There was a time when I was doing DOTD and was going to be gone or something, don't remember. But I gave every body a day to post our DOTD. And if I remember correctly, everyone took their day! Do you remember girls? Kymn, hope you are feeling a little better today and I echo what Karen said. If I could be there to help you, I would......and same goes for Husker. Which, btw....where are you girl?

Well, no peaches for me this year. Got a couple inches of snow yesterday and the temp this morning is 16. Tomorrow it will be 70!

Goldie - I do remember that. I also remember I was - still am - a novice at posting pictures and I was so nervous I wouldn't be able to do it correctly! I must not have been on the forums long as now that seems awfully silly.

I got a FB note from an old friend saying she knows someone who is head of adopt-a-doxie but I don't think I quite ready as I still cry and miss her too much.

Not doing so well on finishing the attic. I did get insullation all stuffed up there so I don't heat up the house and just tried to do at least some of the bare minimum clean up. So I had gotten out "Aunt Louise" which was my great aunt's suitcase and we have always called her that - the suitcase I mean. Anyway, it is full of old pictures and some old papers from 1886 even! So fun to look through. So I'm sitting on the floor happy as can be and crash bang boom! A huge box in the attic comes a tumblin down the steps. Why oh why did it have to the be big box with all the Valentine stuff as in glitter, tiny sequines, pearls and such..... I just heaped the big stuff in and left it sitting there..... Grrrrr. I didn't need more things to do. My kids will be back over shortly and have not finished so better get going.

I did know it was Junie with the hail just forgot to put in the next person's name..... whoops.

Never had "spiked" brownies - never want ex-lax brownies - you wonder who on earth thought that up?

NM - as usual love all the posts - will miss the weekend posts but hey we can and should fill in for you! Maybe occassionally we can surprise you will something wonderful as you do for all of us!

Happy Sunday!!! Azaleas are out full bloom and it is pretty pretty pretty here!!!!! Sorry about 60's in May??? Gosh your poor Easter bunny has a hard time hiding eggs in all the bare leaves and such here he can match to all the flowers to hide them. Oh, I know I should go but reminds me of a story. When we all got older ( in our 20's) we still would go to my Mom's house and she always till the day she died celebrated any occasion possible with decorations and presents! Every year I always got an "Easter basket" - being older it might be a mixing bowl "basket" filled with kitchen stuff and chocolate and ususally stuck in some little jewelry or perfume or something - Yes she spoiled us all rotten and we adored it and her. Anyway one year we were talked about how we missed the hunt for eggs. So we divided up and two went out front and two in the back and we hid eggs for each other - the real ones dyed. It was grand fun. Well, one year my sister and I were looking and looking for the last egg. My mom was just sitting on a lounge chair by the pool yelling "keep going - still one more "and laughing..... Well turns out that last egg was dyed coral color and she had on a coral dress and the silly thing was sitting right next to her but totally blended into her dress!!!

I'm reading back a ways, so hope this makes sense...

NM - Good for you! I'd take advantage of that sick time. I think a lot of young people get used to being disrespectful and taking superiors (adults) for granted. This is why I really wanted my DD to get a job in the real world - so some other adults could give her the message that you can't be nasty and disrespectful and expect unconditional love and support in return. Many of your students have yet to experience the real world.

Stanzie - hope you are doing better today. Took me 20 years, childbirth (twice), loss of a parent (twice) and cancer to get sympathy and support and even then it didn't come from my need but rather from my persisitence... hang in there.  That's so sweet about your cat. I do think pets miss each other even if they are not best friends. When we lost our cat many years ago the cat used to walk around the house looking for her. Then we got a puppy (our corgi) and he probably thought, "where is my dog and why did you replace it with this thing?"

Kymn - we all cry in our beer from time to time and HTL is the place to do it as we have Tenders who will pamper ... the more we whine the more attention we get, which is how is would be at home if the DHs and SOs were more sensible... are you listening, Stanzie...I modeled this behavior for DH when the kids were little... DD would fall down and wimper, I would coddle, DD would forget the booboo, laugh and run off to play.

Lori - follow up on Mr. PoopyPants... I wrote a long letter to the district (his boss, the Assistant Superintendent) explaining my theory on why they have 125 kids in Saturday detention and how Mr. PP contributes to the problem rather than solving it with his disrespect and meaningless consequences/punishment. In business school I was taught that you respond to such communication in kind, however we never heard from the Assistant Super. Instead we got a defensive email from Mr. PP that referred to the letter so at least we know the message got somewhere. We also told DD that she is not to cause any trouble what-so-ever for the remainder of the school year.

Claire - hope your pc worries are resolved soon... hate that stuff and I am the resident computer technician at our house. DDs have Macs, which I know nothing about but still have to deal with them... clients are the same way with me - people have actually handed me their new cell phones and asked how to do something - ? The only advantage I have over their level of ability is that they pay me to think and I don't mind doing so (for a price).

Happy trails to Kathy Risque Wisque!

Well I've got jazz and chirping songbirds in my backyard and a sweet little raised bed garden (sans snails and gophers) calling to me... even though my house is dirty, corgi needs a bath, and I have neglected my breast friends...

Hope everyone has at least as much sunshine as we have here today!

Waving hi to everyone! Just got here, unpacked, and now to start gambling and drinking!!! WooHoo!!! Hope everyone is having a good day.

Stanzie, Do be verrrry careful with that attic! Do you have boards you can walk on, or do you have to sorta go between studs? I floored our attic, as I always worried about stepping in the wrong place and going through the ceiling below. But your house is so big, and older, so I imagine your attic might be quite large? I need to floor the attic above the garage as I do store outside decorations, etc there and it is really scary trying to hop between areas that I have stuff on! But that is a big job, and you know....tomorrow is another day! Hope you are keeping SO away for a bit so you can have some space and figure out if you want him around or not. That has to be your decision, but you know we care a lot about you, and so want the best for you! But puleez be karefull (with the attic)!!!! Loved the easter egg stories...your mom sounds absolutely amazing.....can only imagine how terribly you miss her. Isn't it nice to recall stories though, and keep her memory alive? I am dreading when that day comes. Thinking of how much you miss Liesl, you know, one way to look at it, is if you look at the doxie's the rescue group (?) has, if one of the little darlings pulls at your heart, it would be a way to honor Liesl's memory. What better way to honor the special companion she was, than to give a homeless dog a loving home? I was always surprised when I would be totally devastated, that I could love another dog so much. But it does happen. And with the problems with SO, this "might" be a good time to maybe consider this. I know it also helped NM so much when she found Sadie (or the other way around?), while she was missing Snookie so much. Just mentioning this, as I know how much you are hurting. When do the kids return???

Well gals, gotta go and start dwinking!!!! Safe, as we aren't driving anywhere tonight. But OMG the wind was soooo strong, driving over, saw big highway signs on the ground, and one large casino sign is all broken. Junie warned me about the weather right now! Take care, and Suck 'Em Up!!!!

Last one to have a dwink is a rotten egg......

Stanzie, I loved your stories too. When you gals tell stories, it makes me feel like I know you better. Funny, I never thought I'd love cyber people so much.

Kathy, nice to see you, best of luck to you and DH at the casino. Don't forget to look for Hunk! And what nice words to Stanzie. I have not known you all as long as you have known each other but really love being part of such a great group of gals.

My non-breast friend from Canada messaged that her dear dog Cindy died from a stroke.  She loved that dog and she was so beautiful. She and I became friends on the quitnet for smoking and have been in touch for over five years. Her name is Kathleen, if you all pray for her heart to heal, I know she'd love it. I have never met her but it is like having a pen-pal which I frequently had while in grade school.

Back to you Stanzie girl, here is a link from where I rescued my little Isabella. She is the one of mine that was abused and nearly starved. She is such a sweet and smart little girl but is still very scared of many things/noise. I worked with a gal named Julie from NJ in finding my dog.  Just a thought (right, Kathy, nothing heals the heart after the loss of a pet more than having a new baby in his/her honour)!

Well sorry gtg, DH is paging me. Cheers, hope everyone is happy :-)

Thank you all so much for the celebration buffet!  Wunnerful, Wunnerful!  I've printed out and signed my resignation letter (one for the dean and one for the director):  "As I now find myself in a situation in which I do not feel I can adequately ensure safe patient care in the clinical setting I am tendering my resignation from the position of Instructor in Nursing effective April 22, 2011."  Let the scrambling begin!  I'm dropping them off in the office tomorrow morning with Goldie's brownies.  DorK, you can call me Kim if you like, I don't use my real name much because there are so many similar names that it can get confusing.  I haven't had the "pleasure" of removing a tick from any of my furbabies yet, but I have pulled a couple off kids.  Must be pretty much the same technique, I suppose.  I've never felt ready for a new furbaby in my life after losing one, they've always come into my life through outside influences.  This last time Lasagna Man said let's for an ice cream and I came home with a dog.  It'll happen when it's right, Stanzie.  I hope Mr PP leaves DD alone for the rest of the year, AStorm.

Saying prayers for Cindy and Kathleen.  Such a difficult time.

If I don't get on early tomorrow am I will certainly be on in the pm to update you all on the happenings!

    Hi  GirlZ......

Just got back from the Daffodil Classic.  Was miserable hauling my hide out of bed at 5:30 for a cycling event, but I did it.  I had some sinus soreness which eased loading bicycles, and certainly with cycling. Then I showed up at my friend's a bit after 7 and had to call their phone with my cell to rouse them.  Her husband was wondering who would be rude enough to call at such an uncivilized hour on Sunday.

We did the 40 mile route and amazingly did not get wet, as rain was predicted.  Would have been spectacular if clear, but I will settle for staying dry.  We had strawberry shortcake at the finish.

Then we stopped at the bulb farm on the way back for field daffodils and tulips.

Bath in a couple as my body is letting me know what it thinks.

Mail files appear to work.  Need to load a couple more things, and mail should be good to go.  So relieved.

NM.....glad you have the resignation letters behind you.  Big point is that the school didn't support you in the need to enforce safety regulations.  Not good.  I think you will get what you need.

Nice to have my VAIO.  Just so much faster.  Plus a wonderful screen.

Will write more later.  Need a major bath, as don't think I missed many muscle groups today.  Feel wonderful.  Ten weeks to train for the STP, so lots more rides in the offing.

Can't wait for wine..................... - Claire

Kymm.....at about this point, I started to plan my Global Virtual Wine Party #2.  My first was at completion of successful surgery.  I know, not being able to imbibe sucks a** big time.  But you will get there.  I kept imagining all the great wines.  Of course, couldn't drink them all when the time came.  Still working through the list.

I also signed up for LIVESTRONG.  A stretch, but I did it when the time came.  They wienied out in Seattle this year, not me.

Have my onc check tomorrow.  Now worried at this point.

Back to the real world in the AM. - Claire

Restore of my computer continues to go well.  Probably a blessing in disguise as got the remaining bloatware off.

Feeling just wonderful with the remaining chicken paprika, beet greens, and the rest of the Riesling.  Plus glowing from today's ride and bath.

Ready to head for under the covers.

Kymm.....will pop something major when last chemo.

Claire-The Daffodil Classic sounds like it was beautiful and fun, even better it was DRY fun! Good for you! Bet it feels good to have the old computer back. Getting rid f the junk! Love the "bloatware" terminology!

Mornin', Beanie! Sounds like hail is the weather order of the weekend. Glad I'm missing that, but thundershowers are a possibility here today. Of course, some of the booming may be fall out from my resignation letter and not thunder at all. Going to be interesting to say the least! Meet you by the hammocks for happy hour this afternoon?

Kymn-it's hard to have company right when you don't feel up to it, you poor thing. Sounds like quite the b-day partay you are planning for your DD, hope you have some help!

Junie-I'll have the Tenders stock up on dog beers for this afternoon's happy hour, you, me and Beanie can have a wonderfully alcoholic confab this afternoon!

DOT Morning: The Trouble Maker1 1/2 oz Gold Rum
1/2 oz White Creme de Cacao
1/2 oz Dark Creme de Cacao
    2 oz Coffee

    Directions

You go NM, I will be there while you present the "letter" AND the "special" brownies and will try real hard not to laugh when the perps start shittting their pants.

I am very concerned this morning over my oldest WD. He sleeps with me at night and two nights in a row has bled all over my bed. Last night I put a towel down in case it happened again and sure enough it did. I would love to call out of work but I left way too many loose ends on Friday. I think I should try to make him an appointment for the vet. He seems alright and for the life of me, I can not figure out where all the blood is coming from. He has lost quite a bit of blood though. Uhhh, the comforter and towel are back in the washer, just did all the bedding yesterday. Please pray for my biggest baby Mocha.

Kymn, hope you feel better. You too Stanzie, you warrior you!

Sorry gtg and get to work, I still have a towel on my hair and have to get out the door in 15 minutes.

Have a good day one and all. Will be thinking about you NM and can't wait to see what happens.  It is going to be a great day for you!  Cheers girls. LOtsa love too....

Grrrrrr trying this again as it dropped.

dorothy- I'm so sorry - I know how worried and scared you must be. That is so odd you can't find where the bleeding is coming from? Please get him/her to the vet as soon as possible and let us know what is going on!

NM - thinking of you today! Waiting with bated breath to know how they take your resignation. I sure hope it shakes them up a bit. They need to learn and realize they can't treat people with such disrespect and it not have consequences. Also hope your sick days covers your time so you can move on to better things without having to deal with the petty low people who don't begin to understand what a huge loss they have created.

NM.- I also like your thoughts on how your dogs found you! Another friend brought me a printed out page of WD's to adopt and I couldn't even look at the page - just not ready yet and I know it wouldn't be fair to Liesl's memory or the new dog for me to get another when I'm still grieving for her so.

Whoops, I just almost tripped on all the empty dog beers from Junie and Beanie and what do you know they are still snoozing it off in the hammocks.... shhhhhhhh

Well I went to bed late last night so who knows how long they talked drank and I know I heard singing last night! Something about The Cat Came Back, I knew he was a gonner but The Cat Came Back.....

I was helping my oldest with a book project on " The Book Theif" - amazing and most beautifully written book even though a horrendous subject. Anway, they took an old hard back book, glued most of the pages together and left about 8 double pages which they painted white. Then they were to draw, paint, cut out pictures, use fabric, twigs or whatever to retell what they think are most important using quotes, imagery and meanings found in the book. That book has so much packed in it was hard for him to choose but he did such an amazing job - he is very creative and artistic and he just "gets" books! Always has found the deeper meaning of books which took me till I was older but he just always has so I kept him company till almost 2:00am!

Kymn- YES you must have help!!!!! Goodness I know how those parties go and even though she is 9 and they are cabable of doing things - YOU WILL NEED HELP or you will be totally exhausted and not able to enjoy her party!!! Anyway I always see my kid's parties as mine too as I'm excited for them as well and want to see them enjoying their friends. So please do get help. And as for your hubby dear - well just write him a nice list of all the things he needs to pick up for you for the party - heavens he can at least do that and clean up the house, yes? do you need to remind him of what you are going though - good I didn't think so as well will all be on the bus to help him remember what he needs to do FOR you!

So I"m at least good standing up for other people, yes???

Hey Dort, glad to see Hugh is letting you out to visit us at The HTL! How is life at the manse? Sending out prayers for your friend Kathleen. Sorry about her fur baby. You should send her the Rainbow Bridge. My brother and daughter recently lost a fur baby, and I photo shopped a picture of their pet into the poem. Just read about your little baby, Mocha. I hope things are ok with him as well and will say a prayer for the two of you as well.

NM, wishing you the very best today, I hope it all goes smoothly. (ha ha, get it? Exlax brownies) YOU GO TROUBLE MAKER!

Stanzie, I bet those azaleas are beautiful. And I'm so sorry about mess from the fallen box. Oh that just sounds awful. Did glitter and sequins spill out everywhere? But what fun going through all of the old pictures and stuff.

Gail, doesn't sound like much was done about Mr. PP, but like you said, at least you know he got the letter. So maybe something was mentioned, I hope so.

Kathy, glad you like the name! I'm not one to usually come up with stuff like that, but when I realized I spelled risqué wrong, it just came to me. We could throw Rachel in there too. Wasn't that your other name? Rachel Leather something?

Hey Beans, you must have some band width to use? I hope so, as we miss you when you are not here.

Good luck at your appt. Claire.

Kymn, glad you are on the mend and after the next one, you will be half way there! The party sounds fun for your daughter and I hope you can get some help.

How R all my GoylieFwends doin 2day? Hope yu have betR Internet soyvace dan me. As wahine wud say, Sheeeeeeeeesh! Dere maybe a cable soyvace comin thru Frontier/Verizon out here in da sticks, so I'm callin today to see wassup wid dat. Den my builder called to say he "forgot" about our apt on Fried-day, so now I'm posta dwive an hour to go meet him at his convenience...I dunno if I'll ever git this dumb cabin bilt! And this weathah still sux...dreeeeming of sun and fun at the HTL pool today!

Wahine - Missing you here, but hoping you and DH are having a blast and winning big bucks! Oh I hope I'm not a rotten egg this time!

NM - Oooooooooooo Oooooooooooo I love the DOTD! Ooooooooo The Trouble Maker!!!! That's my favorite thing!!!! Perfect and I'm so happy for you that you wrote that resignation letter. I can only imagine how hard it was to come to that, but I know that it must have been awfully bad for you to have gotten to that point. I'm one who likes to vote with my feet and so applaud you for taking strong and positive action for yourself. That job blows!

Goldie - Great idea to lace the brownies with exlax!!! And I so agree that's a wunnerful ‘toon, "I love my computer cuz my friends are in it". Tanks 4 sayin ya miss me...now I got this stupid bandwidth meter so I can tell how much I got left, it's annoying as @#$%&* but at least I can avoid getting timed out. How's your weather, I'm Arizona dreaming in Wawawawawashington.

AStorm - I think you are right about pets missing other pets...they establish relationships. When one of my guinea pigs would get old, honestly, one of the younger ones would start taking care of the other one by grooming and just giving attention, it was so sweet to watch.

Claire - Great advice to Kymn, I know the virtual vodka is wut got me thru, rully I'm a wine snob but of course it tasted weird like everything else except peanut butter cups when I was doin chemo, so no booze. I kept imagining happy hour and a nice glassa merlot while sitting out in the sun. Was so happy when I cud finally enjoy a glassa vino again. Glad the Daffodil Classic was a success, sounds like a good ride overall. I hear ya about your onc check and will be sending you all good vibes! Glad you computer is getting restored, and I hate boatware!

Karen - Hope your health fare went well! Good words to NM about jobs and self-esteem...it is so much better to be in a place where your hard work and energy are valued and supported. Dump the toxic jobs!!!!

Kymn - So sorry you been feeling poooey. I bet today you will start to improve. It is so hard to have visitors when you aren't feeling up to it. I was invited to friends' for dinners during my chemo daze and it was so hard to tell people that your nice meal will taste like poo to me, no offense, so I'd rather pass. Once early on in the tx, I actually popped extra anti-puke med just so I could get thru an eve and a pooooey meal (that normally would have been great) at a friends...trying so hard to be polite and all, (here it comes again), SHEEEEEESH! I know that people mean so well but they don't always "get it" unless they've been here. I hope you will take all the rests you need and get help with the bd party.

Dorthy - you look awesomely gorgeous with your wet hair in a towel! And about the WD, that does sound like a trip to the vet is a good idea and I'll be praying for him...that's a cute name, Mocha. Will also pray for Kathleen and Cindy. If you can call NM "Kim," well, then you can call me "Jeanie Weenie Green Beanie," which is what had my postal lady in stitches when she delivered a packet to me from my bff addressed as such. We bof hada good laff at that! I was dubbed "Green Bean" early on in life as my toe head was always grass green in summer from swimming in our pool that had chlorine in it. I lived in the pool in the 110 deg summers. DH and I were rescuing guinea pigs for a time (this is for realsies). One guy said take this guinea pig or I'm going to throw it in a dumpster, so we took him in. He was malnourished and very testy at first as he had obviously been abused. We got him back to health and he became a really nice little piggy, so cute, yellow and white, we named him "Bilbo" after Bilbo Baggins, the hobbit. We had 5 piggies at one time, they are really nice pets.

    pig

(they aren't mine, but I did have a yellow tabby that was totally cool with my pigs...)

Junie - You up yet? Tanks 4 da hammock and da cold dog beers are you ready for sum more dis morning, "tail of the dog that bit ya?" he he he! Hope yer weather is getting better, ours is gray and cold, 41 deg and it rained all last night - yucko! Okay ready to jabber again all day? Where's da dog beers???? Want some fries wid dat?

    dog

    dog

Husker, HD, Chrissy, hope you and MrsNice are all doing well!

Stanzie - It is so hard to think of getting another fur baby when you are still so grieving, I think you're wise to wait. My old cat has been gone for going on 3 years and I still want him and haven't felt like finding another cat. It's so hard when you find that perfect companion and then they are gone.

Thinkin of all my loungie friends and hopin you have a most gorgeous and blessed day! Happy Effin Monday! cHairs!!! ~ naeB

....one more thingy...hope it's okay to post this...thot all you fur baby lovers would be okay with this...I'm just such an animal lover...with Easter coming up and all the bunnies, chickies, duckies, guinea pigsies, and other pocket pets that get bought as Easter gifts...there's a web site called make mine chocolate that tries to inform people about making good decisions about bringing a new pet home...

"Welcome to the "Make Mine Chocolate!" shop.

A week after Easter, the candy will be forgotten.

    Sadly, so will the rabbit.

This Easter, remember: A rabbit is not a toy.

If you're not ready to give him ten years of your life,
you're not ready to give him as a pet."

YAY NM!! Sounds like you are not alone with all the crappola that has been going on there. Any reaction from YOUR letter yet? Can't wait to hear about all the fallout from that!!!

Beans, Didn't know if I could call you Jean here or not, but since you wrote that in yur post, I guess its A-OK. Love how you got your nickname as a kid! Love Guinea Pigs too....used to have pet rats when I was a kid, of course the cage was in my room and when they would get out, they would run BEHIND my mom's bedroom furniture...she didn't like that too much. But the babies were sooooo teeny and sooooo cute. Then had a Guinea Pig and later when I was a teen, and pet rabbit. How sweet of you and your DH to rescue guinea pigs!!! Glad you are able to post again, and loved your pics!!!

Dorothy, Oh I do hope you take Mocha in to the vet today. That is really scary! Here, we have an ER vet clinic that is only open evenings and weekends, when regular vet offices are closed, and we have had to use their services b4, but they are $$$$. Just hoping and praying that Mocha is ok. Please let us know how he is doing. And so sorry about your friend losing Cindy.....that is so devastating.

Kymn,Sounds like an ambitious party for your DD, with how you are feeling. I do agree with Stanzie and others and hope you can recruit some help! What day is her b'day? Hoping you get to enjoy some rest this morning....well here it is almost noon, but don't overdo, ok? You need to take care of YOU, and your needs right now. Remember what everyone says about drinking LOTS of water, crystal light, anything with water you can get down. (((hugs)))

Well we are under a tornado watch here...and it has been raining. Hope the wind has died down, as it was really bad yesterday. Had good luck both at BJ and at slots last night.Hope that continues!!! Lots of  good dwinks too...had several last night, as well as good food. Got up late, so heading down to lunch then hopefully another fun day! I think Hunk might be here today as he was off yesterday.

I can't remember all the posts I was going to respond to....read them all....enjoyed them...laffed out loud....cried about the lost pets and continued grieving....pictured NM and Beans and Junie having their beers....hoping Lori starts getting warmer weather.....etc., etc., etc. Gotta just echo what everyone else said before my post! Take care girls and don't spoil the TT's too much while I am gone.LOL>

NM - So happy about your vindication! Yay!

    dog

Racquel Risque Wisque - that's a better name than green bean! makes me laff! that is so neat you had rats (as pets) and a bunny and a guinea pig. I had hamsters as a kid that were fun too, but they are nocturnal and would run on their wheel all night...takes some getting used to...oh all this pet talk makes me wish for a fur baby! The guinea pigs are "exotics" and always need a bit of vet care, almost always have these awful mites (don't affect people I don't think) but it's easily tweeted by a vet...also the Internet guinea pig community was so helpful when they would have weird stuff come up, I would post symptoms and get cures almost immediately. Mostly they were healthy, and they live about 6 years, they do need a lot of fresh veggies and good quality food and vitamin C, they are like humans in that they don't make their own C. Hope there are no tornados, that sounds so scary coming from CA where we only have earthquakes and fires, ha ha...and now WA where we have volcanos, earthquakes, fires and tsunamis! Our beach house will proly never sell as there was a tsunami warning over there when the quake first hit Japan. There are tsunami evacuation signs all over the place there. Still saying prayers for Japan, BTW.

Now off to see if I can wake up Junie for some yackin on da hammocks! ^^^Titz uP^^^

    THE FIVE LITTLE PIGS

There were these five little pigs. The first two went into a bar. The bartender asked, "What will you have?"

They said five beers. They drank them, and asked, "Where is your bathroom?"

The bartender said down the hall.

Then the next two little pigs came in the bar.

"What will you have?" said the bartender.

"What did our two brothers have?"

The bartender said five beers. "We'll have ten beers."

They drank them. They asked, "Where is your bathroom?"

    "Down the hall."

The last little pig came in to the bar. "What do you want?"

    "What did my brothers have?"

The bartender said the first two had five beers, the second two had ten beers.

The lone little pig said, "Give me fifteen beers." He drank them and started eating the peanuts off the bar.

The bartender said, "Don't you need the bathroom?"

The lone little pig said, "No, I'm the one that goes 'wee wee wee' all the way home."

I love guinea pigs too!!! I had two peruvian ones Boom Boom and Cicero! I loved them!!! Cicero met a very untimely death by my dog :( But Boom Boom lived 71/2 years ! I had a huge elaborate cage system all the way to the ceiling of my room with ramps and such and they would come over to my bed by ramps in the morning to Queeek  and ask for lettuce. I can't believe I never took pictures of the whole thing it was huge! and up against a big window to look out and get breezes in the spring...

NM - Well YAY !!! Write more when you get home to celebrate freedom!

    Hi LadieZ....

Back from oncologist visit which went just great.  She says she believes I am 100%!!!!   So don't get checked again until October.

Also got the shingles shot which is one of the things you need to do once you get older.  It was covered......YAY, as these can run megabux if not.

Oncologist also mentioned that she didn't think I was overweight.....that it really is muscle in my case.  You have to love someone like that.  She was impressed at how buff my upper body is.

NM.....so glad that someone else has filed a complaint.  Major important if you are ever questioned.  I like the moving on to a gig with less stress and better pay too.  They did you a major favor.

Beans.....sunny here in Seattle, but did see major fresh snow on the Olympics.  Enjoying my bright red warm jacket.

On the topic of beer. Father of one of my friends grew up in Wales in a small village half way up a mountain.  Beer deliveries to the local pub were via a wagon drawn by a horse who developed a taste for the stuff. Finally, it got to the point that the only way to get the horse to budge after a delivery (this was casks of beer) was to pour him a generous draught which he would promptly drink.

I suspect that the horse also pulled the wagon up the mountain with a lot more enthusiasm knowing the reward that awaited him!!! - Claire

ohhh, "Easter" pets!!!....I merember when I was a widdle biddy girl gettin' several of those adorable dyed baby chicks from our local drug store for Easter.   They were so pretty, the way they were all dyed such pretty, bright yellows, glues, greens.....of course, most of them only lived for a couple of days.  I always believed my parents when they said that one of our cats caught it or that it had run away back to the farm.......but, one year when I was about five or six I had a chick that lived through the dye job and grew up to be a proper big chicken.    Don't remember its name but DO remember walking around the side of the house to the back yard and catching my grandma wringing that chicken's neck and, that was what was served for dinner.   I didn't eat chicken for a loooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggggg time!    I am so glad that it has been many years since selling selling those at Easter has been allowed.

Now, grabbing my dog beers and heading for the pool for a good gab fest!!!!!

    Merry Monday to ALL!!!!!!                        Bottomsup!!!

    Hello beautiful sisters,

I just breezed through all your posts since this morning and you girls have been boozing it up.

Thank you all much for your prayers for my doggy and for my friends dog. I am just copying from an email I wrote to my boss to quickly update you all on my doggy. He is home and happy. I will talk to you wonderful ladies later.

"Thanks for letting me leave early, all is well as can be. Mocha has severe dental disease and the blood is coming from the teeth and/or gums. He has a nasty clot on his upper gum line and she was going to take it out but when she took him back and showed the other doctors, they all decided too dangerous to pull out the clot, will not elaborate, gross huh?   He would typically be referred to a doggy dentist to remove his teeth but he has a heart murmur which he's had as a puppy and at 14 years, it would be too risky to give him anesthesia.  So for now, he will take take these dern expensive antibiotics

and may be on them for life."

Eeecccccckkkkkk Junie, how horrid that your pet chicken became dinner! I remember my dad wringing chickens necks and hanging them on a mango tree till the blood ran out. Horrid enough to see, but they were just bought for that purpose. Then when he brought home these beautiful ducks and I was young and would visit them in a huge area behind our tall building...thought we were going to have them for awhile....but they became dinner. And he used to have rabbits for that purpose too.....glad I never got close to them! Hope you and Jeannie Beannie are enjoying dwinking your beers and gossiping!!!

I'm considering that shingles shot too, Claire. My youngest DD got shingles at 14...after her dad died, so am sure it was stress related. But it was so paintful for her...thinking she might ask her dr if she should get the vaccine too. Funny story about the horse and beer!

Well, I am prolly the only sober one here.Haven't had a dwink yet..having cappuchino (sp) though. DH hit a jackpot today, and of course I was down, but came back with blackjack. A guy came to our bj table, and had 2 bets at $250 ea after we started playing, then he went up and up....took out another $10k in markers....and some of his bets were up to $1k ea on a $10 table! Can't believe how people can bet that much and either win or lose it in just a minute. Bad thing was, the table had turned, so DH and I both decided to leave, and it turns out there was just one hand left. LUCKILY the other player realized we had pulled out, b4 putting his 2- $1k bets down....as the dealer ended up with blackjack. AARRGGH.....I mean Sheeeesssh! I bet he was pissed we had gotten out, but he knew that b4 betting. Anyway, gonna get some dwinks soon.....and then gamble some more. Weather FINALLY got nice and sunny....bad weather is prolly over our house right now....so hope our furbabies are okay.

Love your piggy joke, Jeannie Beans! And your new byline is so cute, Jean!!! And sorry now the chemo is making you hungry Kymn, but you gotta keep your health up! Just think, every day that goes by is another day CLOSER to the end of chemo, and killing all those bad cancer cells!!!! Bye, bye cancer....I'm kicking you to the curb and you are NOT to come back again, ever! If you do, then Dorothy knows "some people" and they can erradicate you instantly! LOL....j/k Dorothy!

Oh Dorothy, Now I keep typing while you are posting, and I keep missing your posts till after I hit "submit". Oh, so sorry for poor Mocha, but so glad you took him to the vet! At least the antib's will take care of the infection, and hopefully he will feel okay once they take effect. Thank God he has a good home, and a good mommy who will pay for those expensive meds! Poor baby, I hope he is feeling better already, and that the bleeding will stop. Thanks for updating us, will keep him in my prayers.

    Party Hearty everyone!

I am back to finish happy hour with you girls.

Kathy, keep winning and follow your instinct. Cant belive the dealer had 21, the punk!  And you are sober? What? and why? What's wrong, omg, are you alright? I am sending a htl made drink to the casino for ya, here's to winning, cheerz!

NM, can't wait to hear the story of your day. Yeee hawww to the girl that stood up and said she too has been abused. I was there and it was bone-chilling. I will let you tell the story.

Stanz, sorry in trying to convice you to get a new WD. I respect your decision. It must be so hard. I will be going through a loss in the future and will need all of the support I can get. I am so sorry you are still suffering over Liesl's loss. WD's are the cutest things and so full of unconditional love, well that goes for all dogs. and cats. And rats and guinee pigs too.

Beans, I had gerbils growing up. I had a paper route and spent a lot of money on their home. I can't remember what they were called but you could add different things to the cage for fun. Mine had wheelsthat they would run around and slides they could go through. I gave them a gerbil mansion.  I had lied to my parents and told them that I was babysitting them for science fair then was asked to keep them. The real story was that I bought them from a friend and hid them in my drawer until one escaped. I got to keep them though, I was spoiled and my parents believed my lie. Sorry Ma and Pa! Very funny about the incoming mail, that is a great story. Hey, postmen really do deserve entertainment, it must be boring without funny girls like you.

Junie, what a very sad story about the chicken. I am sorry you had to witness such a thing. I can't imagine going through that. I also love all animals and feel remorse whenever I think about eating meat and poultry. Hey, I saw you trip and fall, too many dog beers? It is nice to see you at the bar, I want to get you even drunker and get you to convince DH to let you have another parTAY!!!!

Claire, I raise my glass to you for your great doctor visit and also doing the big ride yesterday. I hope you are able to get your computer up with all of the programs you need. Let me know when I can come to dinner again, you are a great hostess. Enjoy whatever you have tonight.

Kymn, glad you are feeling a wittle better.  You are a trooper and you are doing great. Keep us posted each day and I will continue to pray that you feel better with each passing day. And when this is over, we are having the biggest partay ever!  Hugs to ya, lil sister.  And thanks for checking in. Do let us know if you need us to take a road trip just to pamper you. And when you say "men....", I know exactly what you mean. Can't live with them, can't live without them. They are strange creatures hah!

Lori, things at the mansion are great. I am getting all of the attention. Seems the other girls are not mature enough for Heff's liking. haha. Thanks to you to for you kind words for my dawggie. He is acting normal and happy and I guess that is what matters.

Well, I missed some of you but will pop back in later. Got to tend to DH, he is very needy. Oh, he says hi to you gals and that he loves you too lol. He really just said that......

CheeRz, beers and blessings to all my fav gals!
