Goldie, Great song! Not much for country, but I like that.

Karen, Chemo #3 is this Friday. My treatments have been St. Patrick's Day, April Fools Day, and now Tax Day. Next one will likely be Arbor Day (a state holiday n Nebraska!)

NM, Good for you. Way to walk out with your head up, knowing you are doing the right thing. Don't look back!

Kymn, There's something to be said for retail therapy. I've done it myself too many times and my Visa card shows it! Glad you had such a great day. I'm feeling better too. And then I'll be back in the chair Friday to start it all again. SIGH.

Thanks for all the pep talks, all of you. It helps more than you know. Off to find my Ambien and Ativan...

DorK-go ahead and sign, girl! The Bible tells us to make a joyful NOISE unto the Lord. How much ability you have in that area is irrelevant. Belt it out and ENJOY!

Karen-Glad the bruise is fading and you didn't get hurt any worse!

Goldie-POYFECCT DILLIGAF DAY is right! I forgot about DILLIGAF! I'm going to take him with me to the office the next few days to remind me that it's over and not my problem anymore! Why do you have to be up at 4 am? Do they even still make a 4 am?

Claire-I'm sure your friend will do well as a nurse. And I know not all students are like this batch. If I had support from the manager instead of getting crapped on I might have stayed. But it is what it is, and there it is. Good luck to your friend!

Kymn-So glad you are feeling better! The stock of rye was building up and threatening to topple over, you need to drink and drink and drink and get caught up!

Husker-I'm sorry your chemo days have landed on such easy to remember days. Hope it keeps going well for you. Hope you had a good night's sleep!

    DOTD--The Star Singer1 oz Vodka
    1/2 oz Tequila

Wow, Lori! Thanks for all the nipple choices! Yeah, I don't know about those nips but I can picture Lady Gaga going there... I actually had my highbeams dimmed a little  LOL...

So glad to hear everything is on the upswing for my friends! Contractor is tearing out bathroom floor this morning and we are lucky no damage that would require ripping out cabinets or wall tile/ tub, etc... just the floor and toilet - YAY! It's not my bathroom and I know that no matter how much $$ we spend in there the kids are just going to destgroy it. When they move out we can do the bathroom renovation, or move.

Still feeling sick. Had nothing but BRATs yesterday but didn't seem to help. Oh well, at least I'm losing weight. ( the kind you gain back double when you start eating again). Don't think it has anything to do with the tatts - ? The whole time PS was working on me we had this conversation about cancer-causing emmissions and how you have to be so careful with plastics and cleaning solutions... I wouldn't think she would use something toxic on my skin. She specializes in cancer patients and is on several related research committees... she has green/organic/wholesome magazines in the lobby (unusual for a PS I think).

Talked DH into taking the dogs with us to Portland. That is such a relief... just couldn't imagine WD at a kennel without his peeps... and the corgi is old and I always worry about her. Now I just have to worry about the kitties. The one that is really easy going one (that never gets off the couch unless it's his turn at the heater vent) has such a hard time at a kennel... last time he spent the entire weekend on a high shelf and he smelled like he wee'd on himself. And this was at a "resort" kitty kennel where my cats had a private room with climbing structures up to the ceiling and their own toys and bedding. DH said it was nicer than our hotel but apparently cats don't look at it that way. Honestly I'm thinking about leaving them at home with a timed feeder and an extra litter box (that sweeps itself). DD2 and I were not really looking forward to the trip but taking the dogs makes a big difference for both of us.

I've been avoiding coffee and wine... maybe that's what's wrong with me.

Maybe I could live vicariously... who's having some good coffee and/or yummy wine?

Whether you've finished your taxes yet or not, you may need wine.

Whether you owe or not, you may need wine.

Ergo, it's always a good time to taste a little wine!

DorK, sooooo glad you didn't get boxed up and shipped away! Otherwise who else would I dwink with....no other dwunks seem to be awound 2nite. Funny how you started w/ Seagram's and Crown...then on to Jack. I started with Jack...my late DH only dwank that....but my stepdad always dwank Seagrams, and after having it at their house enuf times, I got more used to it! So....are we the backwards twins???? But weally, I can dwink either, and order Jack or Crown when I'm out.

    BARMEN!

...clink!...clank!...clunk!...ooooopppssssss----crash, shatter......dropped my wine glass!   Nobody come out to the pool until one of the tenders gets my mess cleaned up!!!    Jocks says I can't bring glass out to the pool again!   He's telling me I now have to have my wine in a plastic cup--how gross is THAT?????    Guess I better stick to dog beers if I'm at the pool.

Have spent the last couple days at the HTL casino--so, while Miz risky wisky (or Rachael or whatever) was out cha-chinging with real cash, I was spending cyber money like I had a huge fortune!!!!

We have mega bad storms predicted to be starting shortly; then, they are headed straight for Wahine tomorrow.   Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jocks--he's got all my broken glass mess cleaned up and everyone can come out to the pool barefoot now!   And, what a sweetie....he brought me a bucket of iced ML!!!    Staying in the pool, just drifting and sipping--not coming out 'til this storm has passed!

Oh Junie, I hope your ML's are in cans and not bottles! Be careful....I guess I should be careful too as I always go barefoot. Good thing to stay at the HTL pool...weather is always good there....and not be out in the storm. I am tired of storms, can you send it out to see instead of to me? Don't wanna lose any more twees. *Clink*, here's to you!

    Hi LadieZ,

After a frustrating day finding out what software I was missing while getting work out, I went downtown and ran some errands.  Came back via a wine bar, but a different one than what I normally use.  The cab on the Happy Hour menu was just fab and got to check out the new arrangement of wine bar on one side/chocolate place on the other.  A difficult place for one as dedicated to the good life as I am.

Glad you are back in action Kymm......really 3 more, then the last round when you will be beyond done.

Wintry here, in fact SNOW in Bellingham, and probably innundating Beans.

Signed up for the Tulip Pedal on Saturday.  Hoping for sunshine and a lot less wind by then.

I need to make dinner.  More wine in the fridge.

Gail....disagree on the barefoot.  Will get frostbite here if go w/o socks.

Need to run and catch the sunset.  The most glorious light, even if wonderful to be inside. - Claire

Went to a Braves Baseball game last night - 2nd one I have ever been to. Sat way close as my friend and her hubby are huge fans and have great seats. Also they are members of a special club so we got a nice dinner would see the game and drink! But now ol hot beer! We could have real drinks. Looked and looked at the menu- she wanted some concoctoin she had the last time with vodak, cranberry juice, pineapple and some other liquor called a .... well shoot can't think now. Anyway, I went with a more typical drink Tanguray and Tonic and haven't had one is ages - oh my gosh!!!!! so heavely!!! had totally forgotten.I was going to just have a glass of wine and be "safe" but so glad I went with what I really wanted...... Sigh. came home and slept 14 hours!!!! much better today!

LOL Gail.....tsk tsk, T&T huh???? Never had it...is it just tanqueray and tonic? Any lime or lemon? Sounds like a fun night, Stanzie! I need to learn some good drinks, as they will fix whatever we want at the casino (no blended drinks though), but I never know what to have. So I have been sticking to my champagne & schnapps. DH likes Patrone shots now....with beer chaser...LOL. Enjoyed dwinking with you all tonight....but calling it a night.....so nite nite!
