Enjoying my red wine is a plastic wine glass!!!! am I cheap or what!!! They are small glasses, so thinkning its time to open another bottle!!!! Just begining to feel a little buzz.....
The kitchen is almost all the way turned over for Passover....dinner tonight is waming on the grill....frozen rotisserie chicken, potatoes, hot veggie, salad, and challah......tomorrow we are eating lunch at our synagogue.....Sunday my DD #1 and SIL arrive as do my parents...I can't wait....Cooking burgers on the grill...tomorrow night and Sunday I'll be busy in the kitchen....we are going out for the 1st sedar monday night, but I am cooking the 2nd sedar Tuesday night,and we have company for lunch after synagogue on Wednesday. I work Monday, then Thursday I am working to take off the following Monday. If I don't, I will be too far behind....figure I might as well get paid for the time, as I'll have to do the work anyways at home, then its working gratis!!!
NM...life is definitely better off the AI's...improved cognitive functioning...joint pain and insomnia isn't as bad....overall QOL is better...

The AR really bad storms passed just south of us; all we got was a lot of wind and rain. But, today it is colder than a witch's you-know-what! Need to stay up for the late news 'cause I think I heard the snow flurries words earlier. Too bad that DH has a charity golf tourny tomorrow--if he plays, he's gonna freeze his widdle you-know-what off!!!! I think that storm got nastier as it moved east....Stanzie....be safe tonight!!
Looks like a good night to light up the fire pit alongside the pool. I'm tired of floating around the pool all last night so think I'll grab a hammock......good! there's one with a big table next to it--perfect to hold my bucket o'beer! OUCH!!! Did I just step on a piece of broken glass???? Whew--just a little piece of lava rock . Think the pool is safe for barefootin'--the TT's did a good job of cleaning up.

Wow, you gals are chatty today! Likker makes me chatty... and very happy. All this talk about gin has me wanting a nice tall glass of gin & tonic...PANTS!
On our way to Portland for a few days and not taking my computer cuz if I do I'll end up working and this is supposed to be family time... last vacation DH complained about the PC but then he was on his crack-berry most of the time.
There is a hole in the floor in the main bath where the contractor tore out the subfloor. This morning, WD chased one of the cats into the bathroom and he escaped into the crawl space under the floor! Came home and DH was in the bedroom closet where the access is and jumped 3 feet when I walked in. He didn't really want me to know about it but the kitty was not going to come to a Cat Hater so I had to coax him out. Went to PS visit and when I came back the cat had gotten back under the house again somehow. DH is yelling, "just let him stay there!" which of course we can't cuz we are leaving for 4 days and the cat sitter is not going to feed a cat under the floor. I could hear him crying but he wasn't coming out this time... he just came up about 5 minutes ago and he is filthy! At least he won't have to live under the floor for 4 days.
Well, got the drip line installed in my little garden so it won't die while I'm gone, I hope.
See you next week! Save some of that gin for me... happy drinkin!

Lulubelle.....the secret to good eating is real food. Normally, I start with that. I do supplement with frozen, as in the corn I had with dinner, but the ham, broccolini, and potatoes were the real deal. Made the potatoes earlier this week.
I did take a detour to Pagliacci Pizza and have veggie and multi-cheese pizza today as was about to keel over with too much exercise (?....and I'll have you ladies guess which one
) and too little food.Need to attack one of the fruits on my counter now. Then finish up the wine. Early start to the Tulip Pedal. Ham was delish, and have tons left for more meals.
I know, I know.....Pants is all jealous. But his technique is still a bit on the rough side. On the bright side, he is easy on the eyes. And he brings dwinkies and gives good massages.

Quick check-in. Finished chemo #3 Friday and it was uneventful, but long 9:30-3:30. My dear dad (age 73) took me this morning and we had a good chat. He's been worried about me. Then he left and husband came to finish out the day. I got in an hour nap in the chair-a miracle!
Will have Neulasta shot Saturday and got the doctor to agree to a half dose since my WBC's have been high. 27 last week and 12 today. At first he wouldn't consider it since I am part of a trial but it allows for Dr. discretion. Just not able to do away with it totally. then he got excited and called the onc pharmacist and wants to do research on others that have had half doses (it only comes in one size, so typically it is all or nothing). He may write a paper. Told him I'd better get credit as being the inspiration. He calls me his "fragile patient" because I cried so much the first appointment and then have asked so many questions. Hardly fragile but I liked him better today and my father was impressed, and he's a pretty good judge of character. Am hoping a half-dose will help reduce the SE's, even though I also have done the Claritan and Aleve. And extra steroids. he even reduced those those to 3 days after (and not until Sunday) instead of six.
Hubby and son are going to college spring game so house is mine. TV is mine. Magazines are mine. Couch is mine. May even do some cleaning. Ha ha ha! Could happen.
Gonna try to get to bed early for a change...figure steroid buzz will have me up by 5 or 6 anyway.
Uh, so much for early. Have been up since 1:30. 2nd time ambien and ativan combo have failed me. Not sure why.Not feeling anxious. Stomach may be a little upset, so took a Pepcid. Hoping nausea is not in the works. Would be first time. Took another ativan and will heaad to bed (again) shortly. So much for a good night's sleep.
Should have time to catch up Saturday afternoon if I wake up!

Stanzie-glad you liked the glasses. They were fun to find and post! I didn't respond verbally to the student who thinks I'm evil for a couple of reasons. First, she didn't know I was there until after she said it and saw the looks on her fellow students's faces, then the look of total shock and panic on her face was priceless. Second, based on the looks on her fellow students' faces I think she was going to get an earful from her peers, and feedback from that group is far more powerful than anything I could say. Third, by just smiling, shaking my head and laughing a little I sent a message that I didn't take her opinion seriously, and she will interpret that as my not taking HER seriously and that will her feelings a great deal. Now I did have many retorts running through my head: "I'm evil? Then you must be God since we are such opposites." "You are entitled to your opinion, Too bad it's not based on facts." "If I'm evil you must be feel safer now that I'm done." "Sounds like you're afraid you won't be able to bully whoever takes over for me." Or may fav: "Well, you would know evil when you see it."
DorK-Inherited problems are not fun! Too bad you can't just give him back to the boss or pass him on to someone else, preferably someone who speaks his native language. Are you allowed to record your telephone conversations? Perhaps the boss needs to hear the conversations as proof he/she needs to provide translators. And feel free to come vent anytime-look how much venting I've done recently! This is the place!

Hey, Clarie-how do you cook artichokes? And how do you eat them? I see them in the store occasionally but have never actually tried one. I need to expand my fruit and veggie intake for variety, artichokes may be one place I can experiment.
Karen-thanks for the words of hope! I've got a reasonable QOL now, but could do with less stiffness, aches, pains, and could sleep better, not to mention lose some weight. Now I have a reason to look forward to getting done with arimidex rather than feeling like I'll be cut loose to drift on my own. It's so weird, hate being on the drugs, scared to not be on any treatment. Yeesh.

Husker-I've been on steroids for asthma problems before, and simply cannot sleep. Don't feel buzzed or wired or anything, just can't get to sleep. Also don't feel all that tired, either, but not a fun time. I hope the ativan does the trick. Did you know the lounge has a nap room for just such situations? Granted, we usually just sleep where we drop, but if you want something a tad more comfortable

Want to help them out, but also realized it would put my parents out, and that isn't fair. We have only kept it these last few yrs, for their use when they are here. Will be nice to cancel ins and not worry about repairs anymore though! I just hate letting anyone down though.

Risque Whiskey, good idea for the dog parTAY and it IS another WD. That is all we have in our family. We are wiener lovers lol. So I bought the cutest card and gifts, all blue themed cuz he is a boy, his name is Auggie and today is his 1st bday. I had fun shopping. I got help at the Target store since i bought a case of water and four 12 pks of diet for my friend Jack. I had only asked the clerk to lift the water and put it back in my cart, she offered to get me help. I think I called the dude that loaded my car Pants by accident.
I love how "green" the Target store is. I was having fun going trhough the frozen food section, the lights in the freezers all had sensors and would like as I walked by, I found that neat.
I bought a new battery for my pedometer, which I put through the washer, ooops. It is still not working although it was working for a week although the display was messed up. I get credit for my health insurance for adding miles and always try for 10k a day. Damn, I have to order another at 25.00. Oh well, I am half way to getting a 100.00 credit in my healthcare spending account and have until february, hoping to get 1k but have to 'step it up'. I do cheat, tried putting it on the ceiling fan but it flew off and cracked the display. I will try to take better care of the new one. So interesting ,DorK, you girls are saying lol. Hey, maybe I will change my name to DorK. I like that.
NM, loved your pics, espeically the glasses, I lmao. Hope your cold gets better, forgot to mention that, my bad. And yes, all of our calls are recorded at work. I rarely bump up to management as that makes me look like I can't handle the situation. We use a company called The Language Line for translation but that would have just made the argument last for two hours. Uh, thank God for weekends.

I just checked national weather and it looks like it is snowing in Maine. It is a nasty nasty day here, so chilly for April. Ugh, I have a feeling we will go straight to hot summer like temps and bypass Spring, it is pouring here or shall I say it's raining cats and dogs!

NM, Love the Vegan Insomnia pic. That is hilarious! No steroids today (start again tomorrow), so am hoping for a better night. I even tried sleeping with my ipod on the lowest setting with the ear buds under my sleep hat, hoping my husand wouldn't hear, but it was too loud for bed. Need to find different ear buds. I liked the relaxing music but needed it a bit softer. I think there are sleep buds or something that muffles better. Someone had suggested listening to music because it helps turn off the noise (voices? maybe!) in your head as you try to relax to sleep.
Anyone in the hammock or little window seat with pillows? They look drunk anyhow; I bet I could tip 'em out and they wouldn't notice? My turn for a nap. Somebody just cover 'em up with a blankey and they'll be fine.

Kristy, Dunno who *was* in the hammock but they look dead to the world! Must've partied too hearty last night. Have u ever tried "white noise" at night? We had a machine that did different sounds, but now just use a noisy air purifier. Its so nice, as you hardly hear any snoring, etc. AND if you had some white noise on, you could listen to your music w/ earbuds you have right now, and your DH shouldn't be able to hear it. The melatonin works good too...

whoop!! whoop!!! ....sounds like a PAR-TAY in the making here! I've been trying to figure out which one of the HTL folks fell out of the hammock......and have decided that my attempt to deduce and name the guilty lush-----well, my reasoning was faulty! I first ruled out a few names, knowing that they are currently hairless chi-wa-wa's; then, ruled out a few of you that I have met and the hair color isn't quite right!! I KNOW it isn't me 'cause I don't have much butt fat left to stick up or out anywhere; AND then, I smacked my own silly head--totally forgot about wig world!!!!......hmmmmmmm.....can anyone ID the pic or want to "fess up"? LOL!!
