Kymn, I love your idea. I will pack DH in a box and ship him there, you can use the same box to come back. Well never mind that part, I will have the lounge d-lux-copter come and retrieve you, you deserve first class. Sorry he is being that way. And please try not to think of yourself as a gal with a bald head who is miserable and sad. Think of yourself of the beautiful loving woman that you are.
And no, they are not my girls, I was surfing for something that said f' cancer and found that. My left scar runs up and across as my mass was quite large and high up. The pic I posted is much prettier than my mutilated girls. Or I should say girl, just have one now and a shiveled and cut up area of skin that used to have a boob. I hate looking at myself in the mirror. My armpits are mutilated too, I have to be careful what I wear as the scars go into my arm pits. That is from the removal and TE's and implant, there is so much extra skin, the doc pulled it together and now I have what looks like a vagina in both armpits from this. Cancer blows. ohh, sorry, I went on a rant, I guess I should get back to my gardening, I am kicking arse! Life is good though cuz it is dilligaf day.
Still missing Kathy.
Claire, happy riding, don't fall cuz I will laugh!
Peace girls, drink up!

Beanie, baaaby, so good to see you. Let's have a round in honor of our dear Kathy!
And another round for you due to my very rude behavior this morning and again now in bumping into Beans. I did not talk to you, so sawry. Although sorry is not allowed, it is necessary and since I made the rule, I can break it. Darling Beans, how could I miss you?? To the corner I do, Pants just took my drink away. I love you and am sorry I forgot you. My tail is between my legs. be back after time out is done.
Cheers!

Quick pop in - Whew I was getting really worried about Kathy!!!
Dorothy actually you guessed my middle name which back in the 20's 30's people were called by their middle name. My Uncle who just turned 90 said that his Grandfather who lived till the late 50's lived a block away from Margaret Mitchell, and said they knew one another. Well, he claims she named the character, Melanie after my grandmother as she was sick most of the time and very sweet - her husband was named Charles so another connection. So I was named for my grandmother and we both share Melanie as a middle name but still haven't gotten my name yet...... and no it is not Rumplestikin. Just in case you were wondering.....
I like Alligator for elevator it is much better than my son the one with DS who still calls an elevatior a Violator!!! Oh not good as he is 14 so people do wonder - LOL! Off for more cleaning - the clients who may do the photo ad shoot are coming Monday afternoon! Yikes!

Dorthy - I realize I have been just so bumbling around bumping into everyone's posts, I think I am THE BCO CLOD, no wonder you didn't see me too cauze I got stuck inside my lampshade so I looked like a big bottle of JD.
And I miss Kathy and will definitely join you for a round in her honor...we should drink Seagrams & diet coke if we can gag that down...j/k wahine, your dwinky sounds lovely!! Here's one for Racquel risque wisque!
Stanzie - I liked DorK's alligator story too and your son calling elevators violators, how funny. And now you just have me so curious...good job DorK to guess her middle name!!! Can I guess too? It couldn't be Scarlett, could it? I thought Katy Scarlett was such a pretty name...
0 -
nope! LOL!!!!
0 -
Super fantastic lamp pics, Beans. And tank ew fur joining me for a dwinkie, the seagrams and diet works for me!
Stanz, how about Ashley?
If someone else give me a littly teeny hint, I will buy you a double of your favorite dwinky, anyone??
0 -
Nope ---- he he he heeeeeeeee!
0 -
Oh, Ashley, I bet that's it!!!! Good Guess!
Happy Pau Hana!!! Dotty I will have my usual gallon of Vodka...ooopss no it's past noon so I will be getting into the dog beers or if Claire or Gail have a good Merlot, that would work, really I'm not picky! I'll even try Kymn's Rye n diet, ha ha ha!

Ella?
Yippie, this is fun, I like guessing games. Ella, if that's your name, wanna go to the pool?
I've made great progress today and have had the most physical activity since my bmx in July. I did some transplanting of hostas and the furry things I have along with the dianthumis or whatever they are called. It sure feels good to me moving! I think I can come out of the corner now and reward myself with a doulbe. And yikes, I am outta jack, might me drinking Greenie Beanie's vodka!! Cheers my lovies!
0 -
Ashley Melanie??? Hmmmm, Ella is nice, another good guess! Okay, now for those vodkas with dog beer chasers by the pool....I'm there! Tuddie Up!
0 -
Yay, Beans, this is fun! Let's splash the tenders. Candy gets po'd when her hair gets wet!
I think I just figuered out Stanzie's name, yippie! I thought again about Lori's clue "think M".. but now thinking it does not begin with an M. Am I right, am I right? Do I get a prize if i am correct?
0 -
Sorry not correct ....... yet!
You all are just too funny!!! Oh wish Kathy was here she would get a kick out of this.... So I'm thinking only Lori and Kathy know even though.... as some of us know - all should know... Sorry so confusing... but I'm highly amused!
0 -
so not Emmie?
I am entertained, no apology needed, silly Emmie. But could I just have a wee little hint, I am running out of guesses.
Getting ready to start an outdoor fire and sit back and look at our yard work today. Things are still going well with DH although DD is not happy we are back together. I hope she will give him a chance, he is being so much kinder to my wolfers!
0 -
Ummm - who is Emmie? How long has it been since you all non-southerners have read "GWTW"?
0 -
Ellie Melanie? Emmie Melanie? Hmmmmm!!! Not Ashley, Not Scarlett, Not Katy...Couldn't be Rhett???
Is it Rhett Melanie??? J/K...yeah, where's Kathy and I spashed Candy too got her PO'd but she's still pouring dwinks for us...Dorthy glad you and DH are having some good times again, give him a pet for me (j/k) okay you can pet your fur babies for me though and you get a big hug to you, your DH and your DD!!!
Stanzie - was it Scarlett's mom's name, I can't remember, darn, we will guess though, just give us a few more minutes...
0 -
Emmie Slatery, daughter of Tom Slattery. She got herself knocked up young and by a yankee at that!
0 -
Oh my well, you showed me up! didn't remember her at all or that part! Well,.... I'll give you another hint - you will kick yourself when you know what it is.....

Greetings ladies,
I survived chemo 4 and am doing well, mostly. WBC was good again so got another half-dose of Neulasta. Went to work Friday, son's track meet today, and then this evening-boom. Feeling a bit achy. But not as bad as the previous treatments. Sore across neck, ribs, chest, shoulders. But that's a whole lot better than legs, knees, back! No meds so far, just heating pad and probably bath later.
Kymn, wish we could hang out. We could sing, or watch movies, or sit on the couch and sit. I would have a little chat with your DH and remind him of the great gal he has at home, smack him upside the head maybe. Hope things are going well with your parents. That's great that they are doing some cleaning. Make a list! My parents do that sometimes when they come, but I get to see them quite often.
Sorry I missed the great breakfast the boyz fixed this morning...maybe I can pre-order an eggs benedict for Sunday morning? By the pool? With a mimosa? About 11:00am? or Noon?
I hope the rest of you are well...I'm a day behind but glad everyone is safe from the storms, enjoying new jobs, planting gardens, and enjoying children and grandchildren. Did I cover everyone?!!
0 -
Ah, got it. It is Scarlett's sister, Suellen.
Suellen Melanie Stanzie , do i get the prize? And is our own hunk the prize?
my hunk is looking for a "prize"...think he deserves it? I am pondering as he tends to our very romantic fire (I am in the cave hehehe). and under the influence of several things. My bad tonight!! I need a hunk. Can you arrance that Sue-l?
0 -
DorK.....hoping you succumbed. Nothing wrong in being the "prize".
I am feeling just wonderful from cycling, steak dinner, and wine. Had some wonderful cabernet at the wine bar and walked home with two bottles which are part of the wine club deal. Also with fresh asparagus and Jerusalem artichokes which I made with the steak. Was yummy. (Drank cheaper with dinner.)
Bicycle maintenance will be a bit less than I imagined. However, shoes start at $250 and go to twice that amount. I am looking at eBay and think I can do for 25% that amount of money. Buy the brand I now have, but in a newer model. That should do me just fine.
Got two dozen fresh eggs at the farm, so stocked up again. Last two dozen, so feel I have the prize.
Hunkdom comes from working out, and yard work counts. Can't tell you how wonderful Main Squeeze has been feeling recently. Mmmmmmmm.......................
Was wonderful to have a real spring day. Fresh salmon in the market, but will wait until hits the supermarket and thus a bit cheaper. - Claire

NM....congrats on getting the nice finally paycheck from the former job.....
Claire....I bent the rim on DD's bike when I rode it and just about major wiped out....bought her a "new" bike on craigslist.....she just loves it....I told hubby I wanted to get a bike rack for my "big bertha" (I have a suburban) because I can't lift bikes, especially my cruiser bike on top of the bike rack he has and he reminded me that we have a bike rack for my car sitting in the garage!!!1 why didn't I remember that....its fits in the trailer hitch on the back of my car.....once he told me, I kind of recalled what it looked like.....Noah wants to bring his bike back from Hawaii....I think when Craig bought for him in january (also from craigslist), he thought Noah would leave it at school....so Noah has to get it to the bike shop to ship it home....that should be nice and pricey....he'll be home in just under 2 weeks
Kymn....how long are your parents staying?....sounds like this chemo has been okay to you
dorothy....whose middle name? and what is it? I gave up my middle name when I got married and use my maiden name as my middle name....MY naturalization papers have all 4 names, but thats the only document that has my middle name any more...
Kathy....any power yet?
goldie....I guess I'll have to use the term loungettes....kind of dangerous to think what I wrote was interepreted as.....
Husker....how are you doing?
Fell asleep reading after lunch today and ended up taking a couple hour nap...then took a while to fully wake up.....hubby and I went for a walk....now just need to get back into the habit again as I need to reverse the direction of the scale....I have one skirt I can barely get over my stomach...would say hips, but I don't have hips.....as long as I don't wear anything on my waist it fits, but the paunch is getting too big....I need to shed 8 - 10#.....maybe that spring is upon us, I can get back into the habit of walking twice daily....okay once daily and optimistic to a second time....School is done in a month.... Need to get busy with summer plans........
Had a couple glasses of cabernet with dinner but it didn't sit right with me......so the next glass will be virtual!!!!
Going to go take a sleep aid and climb in bed and read.....Happy May Day....and to all the southern gals, DD just asked what the significance of May Day is....can you help me out....Karen

another brief update from Kathy--rec'd an e-mail this afternoon--still no power; cell phone connections erratic--but this is pure Wahine--she forwarded something to me that she knew was important to me. She is always thinking of others first!!!! HUGGSSSSSS to Wahine and will lift my dog beers tonight to toast her thoughtfulness!!!
Have laughed at trying to guess Stanzie's name. Do I win if I emphatically state two names that I don't think are yours, Stanzie? Pretty sure that "Mammy" and "Belle" aren't in the equation!!!!! You are going to have to spill the beans quick!!!!
OT, but ties in kinda with recent weather crap. Everyone is familiar with the monthly interruptions to tv where they do "this is a national emergency alert" test, or something like that.......well, the other day I was watching tv and a similar alert came on but it was for what to do in an earthquake! (Was also similar to when the weather breaks into a tv show and starts giving take cover info...). Have just never seen anything like that. Found out that 8 mid-west states joined in this alert. But, what is weird is that a couple weeks ago I had DH call about our home insurance and had him add earthquake insurance to our policy. 'Cause, been reading for quite awhile in our little daily paper about these tremors about an hour west of us and about 3 hours south of us......they aren't big tremors...maybe shake a picture hanging on a wall....but one south hit like 4.4 and cracked a few walls in homes there. Come to find out--we are near the New Madrid Fault which had one of the U.S.'s worst earthquakes many years ago and the river flowed backwards......so, it was a peace of mind thing for me to have the earthquake insurance.....It is worrisome to me because there has been such bizarre, horrid weather phenomena world-wide...trying to be as prepared as possible......DH thinks I've lost it, but is going along with me. He is probably most right in that if we ever need to cash in on earthquake insurance, there won't be anything left to cash in for anyone-----that Mayan prediction.......
not really being gloom and doom--just jabbering! Hope everyone has a Super Sunday! We're in line for more rain but the nasty stuff for now is passing SE of us.....what awful spring weather we've had!
I'm so tired--don't think I can make it out to the pool and a hammock.....just gonna lay my head down here on the bar f o r j u s t a b i t..............

Dorthy - no alcohol on beaches here... unless you put it in a Starbuck's cup Yesterday the weather was a little cool and today was quite warm but really windy...maybe we got a little sumpn from the real storms. I have a picture of myself like that but I didn't think of writing a message on my belly. That reminds me to post an update on the picture forum. It has taken 2 years (my dx was June 2008) but I just had tattoos a couple of weeks ago and I'm considering my recon complete... it's not too bad ... just happy to be breathing. Oh, and since it has been 2 years I'm thinking the sensitivity I lost in the armpits and on my chest is just not coming back. It used to creep me out but I just stay dwunk so I can't feel my face either and then I can blame it on the gin... hard to stay mad at the gin
NM - no such thing as extra cash or an empty closet...
Kymn - Congrats on finishing with the stinky FEC. Hope the doxatael is kinder... hope DH is kinder too. Sounds like he is having a hard time. I know it doesn't seem fair that they don't act the way we want them too - we got the damn cancer! - but I try to remind myself that my DH is working really hard at denial cuz it's hard for him to face reality.
Beanie - oh yeah, I got Merlot for you... Pants will you bring another glass? And a pillow for Junie?
Studied most of the day while taking little breaks to do laundry and driving DD2 to and from her study session for AP tests... was getting a little upset with DH who spent the day at the beach but then he took me to see Water for Elephants... read the book a couple of years ago but liked the movie too... I was thinking that I should have called my friend who is reading the book to see if she wanted to join us but thought she probably wanted to finish the book first and she walked into the theatre just as I was thinking about her!
Missing Kathy... hope all is well with her home and neighbors.

DorK-I hadn't thought about using different muscles in the new job, but you are right! Up and down, in and out of the car, carrying my supply bag, bending over patients in their homes, it IS more active than an office and classroom. And that ‘s a good thing. I thought Kate's veil and tiara was just right for her, but an up do would have been nice to see. And I like the idea of thinking of the beotches at school paying off my car for me! Sweet revenge!
Kymn-I hope the doxatael is easier on you! I really admire you ladies who get through chemo. I'd never be able to do that. I'm sorry DH is being such an a$$hole, Pants and Jocks are going to keep you supplied with Long Island Ice Tea laced with Fukitol. You and DorK should definitely buddy up and give the DH's the heave-ho. What is it about bc that brings out the worst in some men?plus
Claire-I am so looking forward to getting the car paid off. That's the first step in my plan to get debt free. Yeah for plans for unexpected money, even if you have no expectation of getting it-but then, I suppose that's why it's called ‘unexpected' money! I'm sorry you aren't happy with the haircut. That can be so disappointing and upsetting.
Beanie-oh, poor Dilligaf! Looks like that would give him a backache, too! And it looks like we're going to have to name you the Lounge Lampshade Lady! Such cool lamps!
Dork-rants are always allowed here, you know that. We even have a special Ranting Room for those of us who like to indulge in spectacular rants from time to time!
And that is soundproofing, not padding!
Stanzie-alligator and violator, love the words kids come up with for different things. Have fun cleaning up for the photo shoot!
Praying for Kathy and her family, and all in her area, for quick clean up and safety while they clean up.
Husker-Pool side brunch orders are always taken by the Tenders, any day of the week! And I love your order, I think I'm going to get the same!
Morning, Karen! Aren't naps wonderful things, sometimes? I hear you about needing to get back into the exercise habit, I've got to do that too. So many things to do, so glad it's spring, a great time for restarting good habits.
Thanks for the update, Junie-and I don't think the earthquake insurance is such an odd thing. Even here in Maine we get an earthquake big enough to feel about once a year. Just barely feel, granted, but if there can be little ones there can be bigger ones. I should look into earthquake insurance, too, now that you mention it. Now, lets just get you more comfortable for your little nappy poo. . .
AStorm-How was Water for Elephants? I've seen ads but can't decide if I want to go see it or not.
I think this would be a good DOTD for today: The Useless Hubby
1 1/4 oz Vodka
3/4 oz Coffee Liqueur
3/4 oz Bourbon
3/4 oz Creme de Cacao
1/2 oz CreamDirections
Pour the vodka, Kahlua coffee liqueur, Wild turkey whiskey, brown creme de cacao and cream into a cocktail shaker half-filled with cracked ice. Shake well, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.0 -
I can't believe how much you girls chatter in a 24 hour period! K & K, glad the S.E. are not too bad for either of you. Kymn, so sorry about what your hubby is doing. Damn it! Why can't they at least be honest? I think you should call him on it!
Dorothy, you have me in stitches, especially when you went to the corner. And I can't believe so many of you don't know Ms M's name! Stanzie, I am cracking up. This is so much fun!
Karen, you can call us HTL'ers......I was just saying at a glance, that Hilter was what I saw. I think HTL'ers is cute.
I have sent Kathy another text, as her parents are due home today. I hope they get power soon! I'll let ya's know if I hear back from her.
NM, cracking up at your elephant cartoon! Glad the new job is going well for you.
I am not going to try and comment on everyone, but sure having fun with Stanzie's name. Would anyone like to buy a vowel? Stanzie, go look your name up on WikipediA, it has some funny/interesting information.
16 degrees here this morning! Sure glad we took everything out of the green house. Gonna be another cold one tonight. Junie, I forbid you to have an earthquake! (I only wish, I could have those powers)
Think I will have a Margarita this morning, since I can not call my hubby useless. I'll have the "Frog in a Blender" Kiwi/Pineapple/Cherry

I'm so darn tired of waking up tired!!!! Naps are great, except if you can't go to sleep at a decent hour....stayed up way to late then couldn't fall asleep with just an Ativan......but I did saty in bed for 5 or 6 hours total...so thats not too shabby....sinuses are bothering me....draining down back of throught.....maybe its time to figure out a new Tx....ibuprofen and generic musinix, saline nose wash and tried my nasacort again today.....may ask for Flosnase as everytime I see pcp she mentions it till I say I have nasacort....so is this old tired body tired of nasacort.....Going to go look at granite for kitchen counters at this outlet place, but probably not going to buy as we have a great handy man (when he's not swamped with other jobs) who can get good prices....I don't want to spend a lot on counters as its just a quick fix for now.....my counters are over 20 or 25 years old....creme colored formica and sooo stained....it is hard to get stains out....I would even go for new formica till we are ready to do floors etc......just need something to brighten it all up....we painted the cabinets a couple years ago......
going to get something to drink.....NO...NOT my red wine....some herbal tea and then some water.....my mouth is soooo dry this morning.....be back later to visit.....HUgs....

NM- Love the pictures, the lady all dressed up at the pool - well if she had more blonder hair that would have been my Mom - yep always dressed to the nines and looking lovely - she really wore earrings to match her bathing suits. Glad the needle was horrible, I think about you every time I am near needles. Yay for getting the last pay check and yep it is lovely for them to pay off your car.
I'm always surprised how much things hurt now that we are "older"! When I fell gosh what was it 2 weeks ago- still have the awful bruises where I watch my kids and they bounce back so quickly. Well, just think how much stronger and healthier you will be with your new job - expecially emotionally!
Kymn - sorry about your hubby and "pool" that was awfully insensitive - but I honestly thing most males just don't actually think about things like that. I'm not sure if they really understand hurt feelings and sensitivity. But with everything you are going through and with your parents around - not great timing. I'd so love someone to help me with cleaning - not only am I dreadful at it I get so tired quickly I never feel like I actually make progress..... my kids did help some yesterday vacumming and dusting and their energy is just astounding...
Husker - congrats on good WBC! but sorry you are sore. I just cannot imagine but as long as it works then I know it is worth it but still....... (((hugs))) to both you and Kymn.
Junie- I don't blame you at all about earthquake insurance - it would make me feel better too. We have only had one tiny one that I know of - it was shortly after my MIL died and it was the middle of the night and I have some perfume bottles on a table and they were shaking and clinking together. I woke up and asked my ex is it your Mom trying to tell us something? He looked at me like I had totally lost it. Have no idea why that was the thought that came to me but just blurted it out.
So glad you all are hearing from Kathy- I can't text on my phone so am relieved she is alright. Just a few miles south of here it is just horrible- the houses are not damaged they are just gone. I can't imagine how you deal with that. One story was a man and three of his friends hid in a closet but he was the only one to survive. Just horrible stories.
Loved the Wedding but so annoyed my ex didn't even turn on the TV so they could watch some of it while eating breakfast. I too missed the kiss but have seen reruns - sort of confused did they kiss once or twice? Hope they will be happy. OK, poor Fergie's daughters.... you wonder, couldn't someone have helped them Both not be on the worst dressed list!
Astorm- so jealous of walking on the beach!!! Would adore that more than anything.... Love the no empty closets or extra cash - So true! I have a friend who says all she has to do is think about someone and shortly they appear or call. Interesting. So how was the movie? I read the book a long time ago and thought I should re-read it before seeing the movie.
Beanie - thanks on the avatar - was thinking how I need to change it.... It is an angora bunny for Easter - I used it on FB and no one could figure out what it was! LOL
Junie - you are so right no those are not my names and yes we can also cross off Prissy! Keep thinking - it is actually really easy - you all are thinking too hard!
Happy Sunday!
