Good afternoon, loungettes! A quick note (I've tried every day this week to get on here) before the computer dies again. New job is great, dying computer is a PIA (that's Pain In the Anatomy, get your minds out of, oh never mind ).
Lupron shot appointment tomorrow, been having needle nerves all week. Yuck. Be glad when this part is done.
Gonna post this before I lose the computer again!
Haven't dumped you, need to dump a cheating computer!

Everyone looks so fancy... Lori - I'd use the Disney princess purse and I probably have a matching one in a box somewhere...
well I'm at work tonight and trying to get through a pile of ugly so I can get up early to see the wedding of the century...
see you on the bus!

must be quick but me tinks the bell just rang....Might Stanzie be Scarlett? Or perhaps Katie, someone help me here.
hd, did Her Magesty fail to tell you that sticking your tongue out is no so nice?
I am stressing, still looking for the perfect accessories to go with my lovely dress. See you all at the wedding.
sorry to f'd up to comprehend you all...wishing our darling Kathy and her fellow bama folks quick healing. such a heart break. gtg, will try to revisit this evening.
So Scarlette, what is your story??
Goldie, I could not possiby top your outfit, so beautiful. And I say that handbag number 1 is the best. Love Disney as does the new princess!
Gotta get, need to speak to DH on the phone this evening...so far, he is passing the test of fate.
thanks for hearing me, love you girls and will read when I can.....
PEACE to all...

hunky - I'm with you... not a blessing. I can't believe how many people try to make something good out of something that is nothing but bad. Did you see the movie, Rabbit Hole? Nicole Kidman goes to a grief support group meeting and loses it when a woman says that her child died because God needed another angel. When my SIL had throat cancer she said it was a blessing and she learned so much about herself... then she was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer. What was she supposed to learn from that? I think we are just little ants running around down here and sometimes we get stepped on for no apparent reason. I didn't need cancer. Alright, already... I appreciate life now leave me the f**k alone.
... can I have another shot of tequila?
oh, and who presses your tee shirts? I think I'd like mine with a little starch in certain places.

NM...glad to hear that the new job is good.....never heard PIA or pain in the anatomy....but good one.
DH and I have been married 33 years...will be 34 in September.....we've definitely had our ups and downs....some more so than others in recent years, but we are in it for the long haul....BC has been the biggest test to our marriage.....
Wahine....hope you are doing okay with the horrid weather....it is just unbelievable how tragic the storms have been....I sure hope that this is an indication of a bad weather season
Kristy...on the down hill stretch....good luck with chemo #4....hope the side effects will be kind to you...
Hubby is tevoing the wedding so I can watch parts of the wedding tomorrow....DD #2 just doesn't get all the hoopla about the wedding and so couldn't care less about it.....I'm not about to get up in the wee hours of the morning to watch it...but I am curious to see the big day....
I was soooo tired this morning....even after going to bed early last night....I so did not want to get out of bed this morning, but I was working today....generally I don't work on Thursday....I'm looking forward to not working tomorrow and getting back to my regular schedule.....only another month or so of school....DD is done Friday before Memorial day and I have to work Tuesday after Memorial day...can't believe how dumb the calendar is....then taking two day workshop the end of that week.....
DD just asked to use my computer to print something, so need to stop now...will try to come back again before I get into bed, but going to go to bed early again tonight.....Hugs and Love to all the sweet HTLers!!!

Okay, I found my outfit (and it only took me two hours trying to get pics posted! The color is purple-royal-get it?
Chemo #4 was uneventful. Nice day with SIL. Except I want to know who spiked my drink. You KNOW I should not have alcohol on chemo day...I went to the cell phone store (Alltel) to get a new battery for my phone, got out of car, tripped on curb, and fell on my hands and knees. Now I have a nice scrape on my knee. Cleaned it up with a "personal hygiene" wipe...all I had but figured I needed to get it cleaned up fast, and put antibiotic lotion and bandaid when I got home. Should have a nice bruise on leg. So fess up ladies...or could it be the stupid neuropathy I've been dealing with? They did cut back on the Taxol because of my complaints. So hoping that helps. They also agreed to cut out post-steroids, for which I am thrilled. So...if anyone is still awake, I'd like a leg massage and a hot toddy.

Nice outfit, Kristy. The Tenders are always available for your massage needs.

(snaps fingers) Boys? Over here...that's more like it.
Feeling better now. Ahhhh...

Good evening loungies......thanks for the good wishes for my dr appts. All is as ok as possibly can be. Did have one blood test (NM--DON'T read this!!!) I've had it before but was crazy high on morphine so didn't remember how horridly painful it can be--it is a blood draw from an artery in the arm with a big needle. The veins in the arm they can use are fried from my chemo (I didn't have a port) so, it was jab, jab, dig, dig. Try again....I had tears in my eyes but they finally got a "hit"! I only need to have this done maybe once a year...whew!!! We only had to take one detour and made it to dr today fine--just took most of the day. Don't have to see pulmo spec for 4 months but can't shake the oxygen yet. grrrrr!!!
I looked up some pics of the damage near where Kathy lives in AL--heartbreaking to see. It is a royal PIA to be without elec--have done it during ice storms too many times-----but, knowing our Kathy and her generosity and people skills, she and DH are out and about trying to do what they can to help people who are worse off than they are! Hoping we hear from her soon, but it may be awhile before cell towers/connections are back up.
I don't have any time left to shop for my wedding dress--guess I'll stick to my original plan to wear sweats--and, I'll plop a ball cap on my head and be done with it!!! Lori--my vote is for purse number two!!! Everyone is going to look soooo elegant--don't worry--I'll stand away from you all and act like I'm not with you tomorrow!!! Have the big to-do on record. I do want to watch parts of it but not the whole friggin' thing....so, can fast fwd through the uninteresting stuff! Poor Wahine will miss it all! We'll have to have a big WB PAR-TAY when she gets back on-line!!!!
Claire--sometimes, you are too funny! Your "shagging" ref made me laugh--the only shag I remember is carpet from-----g a s p-----the 70's! LOL!!!!!
Hugggssss to the chemo gals--you're in the downhill stretch! Then, we can plan another PAR-TAY for the end of that!!!!! I love our parties!!!
NM--sorry for the 'puter problems but glad to hear that new job is going well. Sounds like a good fit all the way around! Happy for you!
taking my dog beers out to the hammock for a quick snooze--then, up early to pick up my messy house before my cleaning ladies get here......why do I always feel like everything has to be so neat and tidy and clean for them?????
Super hugggssss to ALL--happy wedding day......see you all at the wedding pool party tomorrow!!!!

Junie - I think that if there were no men, women would wear sweats and really cute shoes.

Getting the new 'puter up and running later today! Yeah! My reward for getting through another needle day! Listening to the Royal Wedding, got up just in time to see the vows. Pretty, pretty and fancy, fancy!

Have to go back to read, I just wanted to comment on the "KISS" WTH? Lasted a split second, I almost missed it! Just a quick peck? That's all you got?

good monring ladies, up bright and early due to the steriod boost. Onc says i only need to take it for the firs 24 hours this go around as it put my into a fetal postition crying so much last time. he added in adavin and some pill that starts with a M its the majiuanna pill lol but I dont really want to take that one unless the ativan doesnt work, I dont like feeling loopy like that. If i want to be typsy i will stick to my rye thanks you very much. So far not feeling as poorly as did chemo 2 so off to a better start I hope, I am going to sleep alot more this go around I think maybe that was problem last time tried to be awake too much. Mom and Dad have quieted down some and I think are relaxing with the situation better. I am sue it was a shocker seeing their daughter like this for the tirst time and they were just trying to overcompensate. mom did make a nice dinner and is doing my laundry.Dad cleaned out my fridge.hmmmm what other things can i get them to do, me thinks shampoo the carpets in the kids rooms lol that the only place we have carpet and the teenage room is starting to smell rank lol.It is snowing here again what else can i say on that subject. I did end up PVR ing the royal wedding so I could skp through the boring parts too. Girls your dresses are beautiful but didnt you hear, anyone showing any shoulder or too much back would be quietly escorted out lol.
Husker glad to hear your SE arent too bad yet either, heres hopeing we have a smooth ride this go around.
Sure hope Kathy is ok, I will be worried until I hear from her I saw some of the damage on tv wow unamaginable to have to go through that..
ok think I will steel a bit of Kristy mint baileys for my coffee and move along.
Hugs to m y breast friends

Hi - can't believe I've been up since 4:00! Missed the kiss - short fall asleep power nap. I'm sure it is electricity that has kathy not showing up but will be much happier to hear from her!!! The count is up to 297 killed and I think 230 in Alabama...... Just south of here they have already closed school through next week at least - horrendous.
Wedding was great!!! We don't think the choir royal was there or if he was maybe outside.... his story is filling full of holes and sinking rapidly but we'll see.
Dorothy.... look back at Goldie's big hint.....
Later off for a design garage sale then hopefully a nap before kids come home.

Good morning LadieZ....
Have to admit that I looked at footage from the Royal Wedding first. So fun, and love to see everyone dressed to the nines. I am not worried about a peck of a kiss in front of a cast of thousands. I suspect they have had more than enough practice. (I prefer overly-restrained over tonsil hockey any day.)
I overdid the seafood at the seafood and wine PAY-TAY. Was so good though, but feel sluggish this AM.
I dropped by the resale shop and snagged a wonderful jacket for $54, reduced from $300 originally and who knows when it was at Bergdorf Goodman. Loose and casual, but also professional looking and just perfect for my conference next week. Never worn.
Trying to get used to my new haircut, but do like the shape.
Kymm.....I cut back from three to two days when I took steroids. The stuff builds up in your body as has a half life of about 3 days. Good move on putting everyone to work. You get to enjoy the benefits, they get to feel useful, and everyone sleeps.
So sorry about all the storms, and hope they blew themselves out. Fresh snow here on the mountains is stunning. Was funny at the resale shop; they were stocked with lots of cashmere and that was what was selling. Only about 10% was summer items.
I would imagine major, major partying going on in London right now. All those people lining the streets would be thirsty. So probably lined up at the pubs taking care of this need. So glad it didn't rain. The great thing about having the wedding on a Friday is that the country has the whole weekend to sleep it off. A lot of people will need to. - Claire

So anyone knows what is the deal with the odd private messages......?

There seem to be some trolls out there who are trying to market "miracle cures" to the unsuspecting. Got this from another thread. They really go after Stage IV ladies, as if they didn't have enough to contend with.
If they hit me, they will get the reply they deserve. I won't bother to write a clean response either.
Sorry you were hit Stanzie. You certainly don't need this. - Claire

Good Friday evening HTLers!!!!
Its almost candle lighting....Thought I would post my menu......fresh challah (yummm after 8 days of matzo), roasted garlic, cucumber salad, salad, grilled veggies, bbq chicken legs, thighs and wings, toasted couscous, grilled corn on the cob and cinnamon struesel bundt cake......And of course wine....not sure what I have open....red...could be Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet or something else similar and yummy....Going to go jump in the shower before I have to light Shabbat candles....Wishing everyone sweet dreams tonight and a great Saturday....I hope that the storms are over and that Kathy is doing well without much damage to her home or those of her loved ones.....Hugs, Karen

Hey ladies.....just popping in with a quick note from our Kathy. She is fine! No power, the northern part of her state is with out. They have ice, and not sure when they will get power. I just got a text, so the her cell tower is working, and I am sure getting over loaded, but the important thing is she is fine!
Will read and catchup tomorrow!...........NITE~

Thanks for sending this message Goldie. W/o power is a drag, and I have been there many times. The important thing is that Kathy is fine. What a major mess.
Still looks wintry here, but they are saying something about warmer temps next week. I love winter, but would love to move out of my cashmere sweaters for a change.
Moving along towards dinner. Just designed new business cards for next week's meeting. Simple, but added in a shadow of turquoise to make brighter. Then I realized that the color scheme was the same as YSL Rive Gauche. Funny how these things work.
Am doing healthy tonight after last night's shellfish (and wine) orgy.
Have the most wonderful evening everyone. - Claire

Well I didn't get up at 4AM to watch The Wedding (got home at 1AM from late-late client) but I'm watching it now... love the British accents! That car was pretty awesome too.
Went for a lovely walk on the beach with friend and dogs this morning. It is windy and not exactly warm, but a beautiful day. It's amazing that we are having this beautiful weather while storms are raging elsewhere.
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Good Saturday MOrning,Loungettes! I got through needle day with a minimum of truama and a maximum of exhaustion. Beautiful day, first one this spring, and I fall asleep in the recliner saying hello to Sadie. Oh, well. At least the computer seems to be cooperating for the time being, will get the new one up and running this weekend. Got the payout check from the old job and I think I can get the car almost paid off if I budget carefully for the next couple of months. An unexpected benefit! Miss the kiss after the Royal Wedding, sounds like I didn't miss much. Oh well.
Ah, Pants, such wonderful mug of coffee! And do I detect a trace of Kahlua in there? How wonderfully you make coffee! What do I want for breakfast? I get a made to order breakfast? We ALL get a made to oder breakfast? How fancy and wonderful! I would like hash browns, a green pepper, bacon, and cheese omelet, and a graprefuit half with the cherry half in the center, please!
I'm going over to the workout room to do some stretches and some Yoga, I am so stiff and sore today that I'm barely moving. Not sure why I feel like this all of a sudden, but woke up this way. Gotta work it out and get some housework done in the process. Hopefully it warms up enough to work in the yard later today, it needs a serious clean up!
Hello to everyone, sorry I wasn't able to keep up this last week, gonna start over now and work on staying caught up, computer gremlins willing.
Lets see, what would be a good DOTD? Has anyone heard/seen all the falderal about the one woman who went to the wedding but did not wear a hat? It seems so odd to me that they are making fun of hats on TV one minute, then reporting about this the next! So, todays DOTD is the
The Hatless Woman2 oz Midori Melon Liqueur
2 oz Peach Schnapps
2 oz Cranberry Juice
3 oz Orange Juice
1 oz Pineapple JuiceDirections
Carefully layer ingredients, in order, into an ice-filled hurricane glass. Serve unstirred, garnished with a cherry.0 -
Kymn, good news on your parents and how funny of you trying to find more things for them to clean! But hey, if they're offering! And yes, do rest more. I'm telling you, if you don't, it catches up with you and then it's worse. How long are your parents there?
Stanzie, (Ms M) I have not been hit by the trolls, but I would suggest just ignoring them.
Karen, when I first saw your post "Good Friday Evening HTLers" I thought it said "HITLERS" lol.
Don't remember who mentioned it now, but about the bare shoulders and perhaps something else. Looks like several of us, if not all of us may have been escorted from the wedding. Except Junie and HD in their t-shirts and jeans! Who would have thunk?
Astorm, all I saw was the kiss, which was enough for me.
NM, glad you got through the needle, you poor dear. I would take it for you if I could. The kiss was so quick, I don't know how they got a photo of it! They must have taken a still from a video! And no "sorries" remember? DorK's rule. Besides, when you miss a day or two, it's almost impossible to catch up. So I just carry on with the present. Love your Maxine cartoon.
Everyone must be resting from the wedding.....or was it the wild party we had after being escorted out? Will need to bring my plants in, going to be below freezing tonight and tomorrow night and I have window to clean, as the high winds splattered the sugar water from one of my humming bird feeders all over it!
Pants dear.......could you please bring NM what she asked for? Not sure who ordered French toast and strawberries, but she clearly asked for an omelet and grapefruit.
THANKS LOVE

Lori, thank you for the update on Kathy. I hope she is staying warm. My heart is hurt over what she and her fellow people are going through. It is just horrible. And I bet she is out helping others. I am sending her some hugs and drinks too. I hope to see her post, the lounge is not the same without her loving comments.
NM, you are probably sore from the new job, I would imagine you are using more muscles than you would at the school. Good job in getting through the needle. And so cute how you and puppy crashed on the recliner, you deserve a nice rest. loved the pics of us at the wedding, that is me in the blue hat. I only saw bits of the wedding on the news but Kate was pretty. I wish she had a fancier head peice and I would have liked to see her with an up do - her hair looked too much like she wears it every day.
Kymn, glad you are hanging strong and also getting help. If you parents get bored, send them here, I could use more help. Hope to see you in the playoffs - flyers open today with boston, go team!! Love ya girl.
Kristy, also hope you are doing alright today. I feel for you girls. You were looking good when we were there visiting. You are strong and the end of this phase of treatment is coming soon! I need you up and practicing some more duets with me. Playing is such great therapy, isn't it?
Stanz, me thinks me knows your name, is it Melanie? Love that name. glad it is not scarlett.
Junie, how are you making out? Did you get to the doc without a long detour? I hope the waters are receding. Glad you were not hit - those fn tornados are something. I saw something on the weather channel where these tornados are way worst than a cat 5 hurricane due to the high winds being ground level. I could not take the stress of living in fear like that. Kudos to you brave ladies for going through this. I pray that the tornados are done, finito. You have had enough with the severe weather. I will pray that you can ditch the oxygen soon. Hang in there girlfriend!
Gail, a walk on the beach sounds so wonderful. I hope you, DH and dogs are able to do it again. Next time, let me know and I will have the htl copter fetch me to join you. I hope they allow drinking on the beach there but if not, I sure know how to hide my bottle!
Claire, hope your hair loooks great. thanks for your kind words about me and DH. He will be coming by today again to help me in the yard. I am trying to spiff up the property for the appriaser next week. I tackled some weeds last night. It still hurts when I pull but I think I just need to keep doing it so that my sore breast muscles stop hurting me so bad when I do the smallest of tasks. I am so outta shape and still quite sore from being hacked up 8 times.
Karen, happy shibbot.
HD, hope to see you here again soon, I miss your witty comments and your lovely face. but do keep that tongue in your mouth girl.
Chrissy, i hope all is getting better and that your DD is recovering well. Hugz coming to you and your DH and the rest of the family. I love ya lady!
I hope I did not miss anyone. To all, have a fan-fuckin-tastic day. Let's have a dilligaf day and fuggetabout it. Cancer, whats that???
Peace and love to everyone of you fine ladies, lift your glass and click it with mine, cheerz!

NM, me again...forgot to say YAY on the big check. I guess they paid you for your unused vacation/sick time. Get yourself a fancy new car and think about the beotches that bought it for you (had they not been so disrepectful, you would still be there). I am so happy for you!!

Thanks, Goldie and DorK!

welcome NM. and thanks for the drink, downing another hatless woman drinky now!
HD, I have a story for you, I don't think I posted this here before but posted on facebook. Once upon a time....here it go. My PS is on the top floor of the Wills Eye Hospital bulding in Philadelphia. The elevator (or alligator as my DD called them when she was widdle) usually stops a number of times when I am going up or down. I have learned that it takes longer for the door to close if you do not push the "close" button. So one time a few months ago, after one of my little surgeries, DH and I were going down and the door opened, and a couple got on. I said to the Mr, "sir, can you please push the close door button? His reply "no, I am blind but my wife can". Then the door closed. The next person said "alot of us are blind here". We all chuckled. DH loves to tell the story. Moral of the story, blind and one eye folks are cool. We all still love you despite having one eye.
Okay, going back to the weed. I mean weeds I started pulling weeds today, gloves on, and I grabbed this funny looking weed and it had spikes. went right through my gloves. I have little porcupine stabs in my filanges. But since I have declared this as dilligaf (dilligas) day, I ain't worrying about it. I do not fear LE. Take that cancer, you mf'r. This is me, except I have six additional cuts.

good morning my fine ladies,
yesterday was a decent day as for SE more like round 1 but has hit me today, guess I new it was coming but high point i am done the FEC portion of this and now we shall see how the doxatael reacts with my body, maybe it will be much gentler on me heres hoping.
Lori thank you so much for posting that Kathy was alright, wathcing all that damage down there really scared me as i have no idea where you are lvie and i was just praying it didnt hit anyone here that I love.I mean i dont want it hitting anyone of course but well you get what i am saying,
Dorothy are those really your boobies or were you messing with us? Ii dont want to post anyting and offend anyone if they are but i was going to say my right one coudl be a triplet to those two except the nipple is still there but mose ofthe areola got sucked in the black hole .
Well since my parents have been here a whole 3 night DH has managed to stick around for one of them.went to band practice the first night satyed home last night but was not at all affecitonite with me and is going out tonight with his friend its this guys birthday,he told me they were just going to hang in his garage but the wife of his friend told me there were going out to play pool which I know means to the strippers. but would DH cop up to any of it no. He is always one of those guys who thinks its better to ask for forgivness which he rarely does anyway then to ask for permission and quite frankly when you have a bald wife at home with a huge scare on her breats just had chemo is emotional and not feeling well that is not the time to head to the strippers!! just saying give me some fukkitol please and big glass of long island ice tea this morning to wash it down with only cause the sun is out and it sounds like a nice drink to have.
i thinkg maybe dorothy should come and move her with me and my DH can go live with hers and they can be selfish togethe while Dot and I play the piano the guitar and sing our little hearts out drink after drink.
Ok I need a coffee will catch up with the rest of you gals later, oh Kristy hope you are SE free and doing well.
hugs Kymn

Good morning LadieZ...
First of all.....major congrats to NM for scoring $$$$ in a payout. That is a very good thing. Also, you will notice the pay increase a lot more w/o a car payment.
DorK....congrats on getting DH to help you out with yard work. I suspect he will be really helpful today. You might want to consider a post-surgery exercise class to regain strength and flexibility in your upper body. I can't imagine not having my core strength.
As for the thistle or whatever it was. These things will happen unless we live in a bubble.
I am headed out for a ride. Is still foggy, and promise is for glorious sunshine. As this has been scarce, I want to take advantage of it.
Not thrilled about the hair style, but stylist said he wanted to neaten things up so it would all grow in evenly. I do have to admit, it finally looks like one unified hair style. He also cut off the early growth except for the crown, so that looks better too. I think it's another six months to a year before I finally get close to the style I want.
The storms in the South are so awful. I can't even imagine. Difficult here to imagine that the Gulf water is so warm. We are wearing winter coats and sweaters.
Will screw up the courage to take my bicycle in later today. Will be megabucks to get back in condition for major cycling events. But consider an investment as keeps me fit and healthy.
Would love one of those breakfasts about now.....PANTS, I'll take an eggs benedict. - Claire
