TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS
This has been a rough few days...
It is time for us to hook up our horses and circle our wagons around some of our dear sisters who need us the most right now.
Robin, Rhymee, Mena, Denise, Marsha, Katz & Sarah, Gwenn, Pennylane, Dianne, Shelliks and all who need some love and care from the sisterhood.
I will take the first watch.
(edited to add that since we started the circle, we have lost many angels mentioned above and others who were inside the circle. Nicki/Chemosabi kept watch over the circle many nights for us. Now, she will watch over the campfire with the angels she joined tonight. Rest in Peace you beautiful friends, we love you all and will never forget you.)

Nope--I'll do hay and feed for the mules. Ifn we'ns doan feed 'um, they won't work. Jest lik me, 'ya know?
0 -
I'm here having some of Niki's "one armed biscuits" bless her heart...and she's right, the mules can fend for themselves somewhere else...
I'll be here for a couple of hours....but I'm sending love, and prayers to all the sisters in need, even those who just read us but don't post...I'm sure there are plenty out there who need comfort and are too shy to ask...but we are here...0 -
I don't "know" who all of these people are, yet...but I'll join in.
Circling, and sending my love!0 -
Pulling into the circle armed and ready for the fight.
0 -
I'm in too, armed & ready!
0 -
I'll take the later shift so everyone can rest for this journey. Must protect the women first....
0 -
I'll take some biscuits and coffee, thank you. And I'll take the next watch, ok?
It's time to "COWBOY UP"
I think about this term, and what it's all about?
Well it's reaching deep inside when your DH has turned you out.
It's gettin' bucked off every bull that you've seen;
Going hungry, and telling yourself "I'm not starvin', just lean".
"COWBOY UP
It's watching your friends go to the county fair;
And staying behind, cuz the fence is in need of repair.
It's knowing what's wrong, and doing what's right;
Though it means you're going home alone tonite.
"COWBOY UP"
It's what makes a cowboy tell it straight;
It's being in pain, and calling your gate.
It's having nothing, yet having it all;
It's brushing off the dust and knowing how to fall.
"COWBOY UP"
It's a spirit tried and true;
Like a guardian angel, it'll see you through.
So when you're down and things look rough;
Look deep within yourself, and
"COWBOY UP"...0 -
absolutely!!!

Susan I love that !
I have one to share ~
Courage is easy when a tame horse you ride
When rivers are low and no clouds fill the skies,
But thats not the test that must really apply
And there wont always be tame horses to ride.
When the winds from the northwest, its teeth filled with snow,
And the temperature is dropping with each hour of the blow,
And youre twenty miles from a warm bunkhouse fire,
You freeze where you stop if homes not your desire.
When the water is rising with no way around
And a bunch of stray steers spread over the ground,
Youll have to hold up there till the water goes down
Or force a fording where some may drown.
When the nights are so lonely that there is no familiar sound
And where you are at isnt close to home ground,
Then its what you are made of, what youve seen and learned
That keeps you up and not getting burned.
You can be sure of yourself, the person youve become
When the world drops its load out where you come from.
You wont whine or cry or make an excuse
But face that problem and not let it loose.
The days that will test you are always on the way
And you dont run and hide to avoid the fray.
You grab on the problems and just tan their hide,
You made your own courage and tamed the horses to ride!0 -
I absolutely love these inspirations... I have one also that is helping me..
When we walk to the edge of all the light we have,
And take a step into the darkness of the unknown,
We must believe one of two things will happen....
There will be something solid for us to stand on
Or we will be taught to fly.0 -
circling.... circling ... here to support those in need.
Doreen0 -
I will put on the beans... can I bring the beer?
Oops make that red wine. Antioxidants.0 -
I'm armed and ready to FIGHT! I am so sick of cancer and I will be damned if it is going to win!!
For all my sisters in pain,
for the ones who are fearfull,
for the ones who are waiting,
for the ones who are tired.
I am praying and hoping for better days soon.
Peace be with you.
Adding my wagon to the circle ladies...pass the coffee
Deb C.0 -
My wagon has joined the circle; of course I have a modern wagon that has refrigeration so we can keep the wine cool and have all the fix's with the beans, biscuits, and other goodies!!! Fancy, it will be more than fine with me if you tend the animals - mules/horses not my thing!!
Oh, God, girls, my heart and my prayers goes out to these wonderful women. Thanks NS for starting this. I am up all kinds of hours, so I'll be sharing in many of the watches. Hope this circle just keeps growing and may these sisters feel the love.0 -
I'm here,
I'm praying,
I'm mad,
I'm sad.
I'm hopeful.
What else can I do?
Please tell me.
lini0 -
I'm here - since I can't seem to sleep after 2:30 a.m., I'll take that shift. I had biscuits and gravy this morning for breakfast with my coffee - yum. Let me know what I can do to help out here.

Nicki0 -
the wrangler guy will NOT have time to cook.........sorry lini!

Well, I'm not much of a cowgirl although I was born and raised (reared according to my speech teacher) in Texas. I'm willing to learn and take my turn circling the wagons and praying for our sisters in need.
Gittyup horsies. (Is that a start at being a cowgirl).
Shirley0 -
::ramonajane eases into the circle and opens her arms to embrace those who need a hug::

Sue0 -
I'm there 24/7 -- praying for everyone! I don't know much about cowgirls and/or wagons (from Long Island) but I do know about healing circles and think we should all form one, if only in spirit.
Sue0 -
I'm ready for my shift. Don't do coffee but drink tea. Nice night to keep a lookout. Everyone sleep tight I'm on the job.....
0 -
Oh you wonderful gals!!! I am here riding my mule, "Old Never Quit". He is a great mule.
I will be in the circle and praying real hard.
You are all loved and in our arms. When a breeze brushes the sagebrush, it is all of us, leaning towards you, softly praying for good news. When you awake in the night, scared, we are all in there with you, behind the curtains, so you are never alone. You are treasured, each of you, loved and cherished.
Hugs, Shirlann0 -

Leslie0 -

In case Peggy doesn't get here for awhile with a fire, here's a small one, with some chairs for your comfort, a little lamplight and by the water...it's calming.0 -
I run a hotel just over that next hill. Come in and relax by the fire. I'll water the horses and outfit you all for the next leg.
Fists up!0 -
Will be saddling-up (aka my prosthetic bra) in the early morning to join my

The fire is burning reflecting on the faces of our sisters, wood stacked to the side for the night, coffee and water for the hot chocolate is on, voices are getting softer and some are down for the night. The night owls are already on watch and the cool night air feels so good. Not sure where the cowboy is at the moment but some of these gals can sure keep you laughing. The joy and comfort of these sisters brings tears to my eyes.
Lord, we lift our friends who are facing this mountain and have a steep climb to the top. We are all hurting for them and as we share in their fears we are also realizing some of our own. Bless them, heal them, give them strength for the days ahead, may they feel only the peace and comfort you can give and may they know their friend is holding their hand in the darkness and lonliness of the night. May tomorrow bring hope. May they feel the love of the many sisters who too will walk to the top of the mountain with them.
Rest well, sisters. We have wraped you in love and prayers.
Brenda0 -
Gonna curl up next to the fire - but I'll be up for early morning watch.
Have a peaceful night - you are all in my prayers -
Leslie0 -

(I will take a double shift just to be thorough)0 -

Hi Dear Ones,
I have been riding around the outer wagon perimeter all night, armed and watching out for the slightest sign of the wretched beast.
The night is quiet, rest well. You are loved, you are loved.
And loved too, the faithful defneders.Brenda, you are absolutely beautiful!Thank you!!With such defending sisters, how can everything not be all right?
NoSurrender, I hope you have gone to sleep.I will finish up the shift. The air is crisp, the stars are bright, even the girls who can't sleep are sleeping!I'm comfortable, but vigalent.By the time I sleep, the sun will be coming up, morning shift will be here. You all can party merrily with those cowboys, and make coffee on the campfires!(Owls and bats are used to noisy sleeping!)

up early...I am here to relieve the night watch.
I am counting my blessings...how wonderful to have found all of you!
(who's got the cowboy? MY turn!)0 -
Well, Im joining vicki with the early morning watch. Brought some fresh coffee and tea.
The sun is starting to peak over the horizon. Daylight will be here soon. We stand strong and we stand tall.
I just saw a falling star and made my wish.
Now i'm stomping my foot and Im saying "I made as hell and Im not gonna take it anymore." So there - as I am sticking out my tongue.
Nicki0 -
I'm back up as well. Shotgun in one hand, coffee in the other. Glad to know it was a peaceful night.
You gals who handled the night shift might want to go get some rest.0 -

Sending big hugs your way...

Have a great day!
Peggy

Deb - why do things always get to us when we are under the covers. It all hit me this am, I put on my iPod, laid in bed and had myself a good cry over all of this. Got up, showered and I am also ready to face the day- kicking some cancer ass! Stand back, what's that saying about a "....woman's fury"
Oh Peg, what a beautiful cowboy chica you found and I love those two guys.0 -
Peggy, your taste in women is much better than your taste in men.
0 -
i guess i get the afternoon shift...i'll take it gladly.
thinking of all my sisters0 -
Prayers for all the women listed above and those not mentioned but struggling with this dreadful disease including all the newbies and those with mets.
Take care.0 -
Brenda, how very, very sweet and comforting.
Shirley0 -
Been out of the picture for awhile - taking a break from the cancer nightmare as best I can. I don't know what all is going on with you gals, but I love you all and many of you have been an inspiration to me thru my bc journey.
I'm here, brought my wagon and my teacup poodle for protection from the beast - she's not feroceous, but maybe the beast will get distracted by her "cuteness" and someone can sucker punch it...with a shotgun!!!
Prayers going up for all my bc sisters! I pray for you all daily!
Pass the coffee - it may be mid-day, but this cowgirl isn't resting well these days!
(((((((((((Big ol' Georgia HUGS!)))))))))

Nicki0 -
I cooked up a big pot of homemade veggi soup with veggies from my garden...healthy, warm and filling. The wheat bread is almost ready to come out of the oven and I made Super Fantastic Carmelastic Brownies...you have to feed the soul to my sisters. Chocolate may not cure cancer, but it sure makes me smile
