Good Morning Everyone: I am officially feeling better this morning. The lung pain is almost gone. Im still sweating, but not as much. Ive never had pneumonia before, and I tell you, when I feeling better Im getting the pneumovax along with a flu shot this year.

Denise: I taking off the week of my anniversary through Labor Day. It starts with the wedding Im going to on a boat where I get to wear my little black dress. So I will go back to work on Monday, work one week, then be off a week.

Odalys: There are definite perks working at the same hospital that your doctors are on staff at. And being upper management makes it even better. I have to see my PCP again today. He gave me a choice. Admit me or go home and stay in bed. I chose going home. I know Im better though.

Sheri: I cant believe school has started already. In the old days, we didnt go back until after Labor Day. Thats a sure sign that Fall is quickly approaching us.

Mandy: The incredible thing for me is that I didnt have any symptoms. WBC's are elevated Monday at Onc appoitnment but I didnt feel sick. No coughing, running nose, cold like symptoms. Then I got this servere chest wall pain and thought it was a broken rib. And yes, the night sweats have been awful. Everything is my bed is wet. Pillows, sheets, blankets etc.

Jan: Oh another big party at your house this week-end. Sounds like fun. I glad you checked in as I was wondering where you were.

Christine: That Italian green bean potato salad sounds so good. Not too many things were appealing to me this week. Just lost my appetite, although I didnt manage to dig into some M & M's

    Good Morning Peter and Betty!

I have now reached my limit. I need to go back to bed. Hello from A to Z hope you all have a great morning.

Yes, Shirley, you beat me back to the circle! Girls, Sherloc is the cutest little bitty thing you ever saw. We had a great time, talked nonstop like a couple of old friends. She sure has had an interesting life. NOT the Clampetts at all but more a Hippy Chick!! LOL Thanks for lunch Shirley!

Morning Girls! Glad that things are looking better for most and that cloud has lifted a bit.

Nicki~Looks like the meds. are working. Glad that you're doing better. The green bean salad does sound good. Wonder if Christine would post the recipe.

Robin~Wow! You sound so strong and amazing. What a difference a year makes, huh?

Marsha~Both you and Sherloc are the "cutest little bitty" things you ever saw. Glad you two had a nice lunch.

MB~In my house, especially if it's a work day, we get so busy that even the birthday person forgets it's their birthday until mid-day. Sad, but true.

Peter~Glad to meet you. I don't think that we've posted at the same time. My wagon is a rambling one. Always on the move.

Charlene~Have you been getting fills weekly. Mine were every other in the beginning and then once monthly when the skin got really tight. Gosh, you'll be so much happier when you have your exchange. It's actually like childbirth, I'd forgotten about the constant ache in my upper back that I had already, and it's only been 8 weeks.

Denise ~ Turkey brats?? Similar to turkey sausage. I use the hot kind in my spaghetti sauce to cut down on fat and calories. I'll have to look for the brats.

Madison ~ Happy that your DD is doing better. How scary was that??!

    Vickie ~ HI!!

Odayls, Cheri, Gina, and anyone else with "scary" stuff going on right now ~ Keeping you in my prayers. I think that the cloud may be moving on. I've been keeping things bottled up. I only open up here. Tears have been coming in slow little leaks. Hopefully it's been enough so I don't have a major combustion. Thanks for being here, ladies!

    Have a great weekend everyone!!

    Morning All,

Going to start from my post last night, and then go back and read for a bit...

Karen - how old is Noah? Getting your wisdom teeth out can be tough! Sorry to hear about your crown and Noah's car - it does seem like there is always something doesn't it?

Madison - Your black cloud picture made me laugh! People have said that to me, and I have a friend who calls me Eeyore. Yes, stress always makes me exhausted too. Hope you have a great day. Glad to hear DD is starting to keep food down!

CY - Hey there, how are you? Feel like I haven't "talked" to you in ages. (I've been out of the loop on the boards for what feels like the past 2 weeks!) Thanks for letting us know about MB's birthday!

MB - If I knew how to do pictures I'd put a huge Happy Birthday with a pretty cake right here! Love to you!

Cy (again!)- "Man alive!", there's a little typo there and I was trying to figure out what movie or TV show "man, Olive" was from! LOL I hope the massage gets that shoulder going on the road to recovery. Please don't do too much, especially with that shoulder! Though I agree, going to the kitchen to wash your hands is probably a pain. (My friend once had to wash the dishes in the bathtub for weeks as they re-did their kitchen!)

Margaret - Woo hoo! Have a great time in Vegas! I love to watch the fountains at the Bellagio, and go inside and walk through their lobby and that conservatory. (Can you tell I'm not really a gambler? LOL)

Robin - You sound so good! So strong and positive and I'll say it again - STRONG! I'm so happy for you, and can't wait to hear how things just keep getting better and better for you. Much love to you!

Peter - Pancakes sounds perfect. I was going to be ambitious and make them for my son this morning, I'll just sneak some from your wagon - he'll never know!

Nicki - pneumonia?!?! what!?!? I've got to go back and read! So glad to hear you're feeling better. Does this have to do with the cracked ribs? I'm glad your doc was tough with you - you need to slow down and take care of yourself! I know you're probably trying to go for a swim or sit cross-legged on the floor doing crafts but please just do what the doctor tells you and stay in bed! Read a magazine! Watch some bad TV! Take care of yourself, please.

MB - Happy birthday to you my friend! (Wait a minute, did I already say that? Ay yi yi! I did, talk about chemo brain!)

Marsha - Oh my goodness, you and Sherloc look like sisters! I love both of your outfits - so cute!

Sherloc - You are too cute!

OK, reached the end of the posts since my goodnight post last night. Off to read back for a bit. Hugs to everyone I didn't mention, A to Z!

Oh yeah! There is a picture of Warren and me on the home page for the Boston Making Strides Walk - how cool is that? It's from the Kick-off breakfast, and they had him handing me a survivor corsage. He looks like a little angel. If I knew how, I'd post the link - maybe I'll try to work on that!

    Hi,
Nicki, I had the same thing - no sxs of pneumonia or even being sick not even pain..just feeling chills and then hot -I sometimes run a fever so I ignored it for 3 days..scary..I'm glad you're feeling better
Well, they think my friend's ultrasound is showing a big cyst, but they still recommend a ooph and hyst..I don't know what she'll do...thanks for the well wishes - it means a lot.
I went with her to the ultrasound and took a little nap in the waiting room..hehe
Robin, if I could, I would go to Tennessee to take you to your surgery to EVIL did not have to go....
Marsha and Shirley - who took those sexy pics of you? You're both beautiful!
I'm glad you're back Peter...remember to post funny pics in WTH or Sierra's thread - For NewVickie and anyone who likes fun!
Hope everyone else has a great day!
I'm very late in birthday wishes I think...oops

Good morning sisters and good night Peter!
Jankay called and tweaked my toes this morning. My phone is next to my bed and my bedroom was downright cold! I have two big windows and left them open all night and it was only about 50 degrees...had a hard time getting up as my robe was clear across the room...I so hate to be cold LOL.
Nicki...so glad you are feeling better!
Marsha and Shirley...oh my goodness you are just too adorable. Love the chair dancing!
Colleen...oh my we have way to much in common...I get called Eeyore too and actually must admit that I really like Eeyore heehee. Little black clouds.
MB...keep planning...it will be here before you know it...I am sooo excited!
Cheri pal...I know you have a laptop there...I miss ya. I was gonna call last night but after talking with dd, Jankay and my stepsister it was late. Get better soon and I'll im you today if I see you online.
Gina...we miss you...do we get an update?
Karen...I hope Noah is feeling ok. Wisdom teeth are rough to deal with. Hugs to you and him.
Shokk...are you arranging the closet for another storm? I surely hope not!

OK, gonna go back and read!

Geesh! Just can't stay away this long or all Hell breaks loose...

MzSis...why didn't you pull on those nipple rings to see what came out of his nostrils...or maybe some waiters would come running with cheap eats?

HEY! What's wrong with Cheri?????? Somebody PM me right away!

Nicki...pneumonia? OMG...I do hope you are feeling better...

Beth...you ARE Murphy's law when it comes to prophy masts...not even funny, entertaining or interesting anymore...just plain sucks for you!...hope you are feeling better, too...you haven't been right since you had your surgery...

    Pups...good to see you!

Back to Cheri...life threatening? WTH? Can't find the original post and have no patience right now...somebody...where can I reach you Mon Cheri? It's almost 9 am...dare I call your cell? Aw hell, if I'm up....

So, Maine has nipple rings...I always think of Maine as a Poland Spring kinda clean and serene place and nipple rings don't fit in my rose colored imagination...I still say, pull on them! People gotta expect that if they walk around shirtless.

I hope everyone had a wonderful time at Pinkstock. I almost made it there...next year for sure...I have to go back and check out pictures. What? No dirt? No blackmailish stories?

Hugs not bugs...to everyone...Madison, Liz, Amy, how are you honey?...Colleen...Margaret...Odalys...and all my sisters and brother...gonna try to call Cheri and then Beth and then back to bed for a while...Nicki, you too!

    Check in later...xo

Colleen: The saga of my story started Monday when my WBCs were elevated and we didnt know why. I felt great! I got home that night and I felt like I broke a rib on the left side of my rib cage. The other 2 were on the right. So I was sorta yelling at my onc on the phone, I wanted to know why I keep breaking ribs. He reviewed my bone scan and dexascan from April and there was no mets and no osteoporosis. I went to work Tuesday - dont know how I did it cause the pain was so severe, but I thought a fractured rib takes time to heal. Went to my PCP on Wednesday - he wasnt convinced it was a fractured rib. Got x-rays done and low and behold. I had pneumonia. Still dont feel sick like a cold. Just profusely sweating which has now seemed to almost be gone. The pain in there, but much better.

So now this brings me to a new question. I have been getting colds just about every 6 weeks, and now pneumonia. What the heck is wrong with my immune system

Sherloc and Marsha: Those pictures are great. You both look like you were having alot of fun. I have the feeling that it would be easy to talk to either one of you.

Mena: Seeing you post put a big smile on my face. Im gonna put on real clothes today whoo hooo! Cant wear old comforatble jammies to the doctors office. Then I plan on just staying in bed - will continue to work on the baby afghans. The shower is tomorrow - Im not gonna be able to go. Good thing, they are not nearly finished.

    Have a good day.

Hey ladies and gentleman ..ha ... one day Karl referred to someone as a lady and I asked him how did he know she was...holy crap that started such an argument. My fault I was being stubborn. Yesterday I broke down at my daughters soccer practice. WTF??? That's not me .. I was so embarrassed and the woman next to me was so sweet and understanding. Sigh...now I feel like a marked woman. Of all places to do that at. I guess the stress of all the dr. appts. and being so limited in what I can do is getting to me. Luckily Audrey didn't see it happen. Still feeling sad and mellow and trying to shake it.
Karl got this PC running for me again but without my hard drive and all my files...now he's working on recovering my files from my drive so he can put them on this PC. At least I have a running PC again!
My appt that was scheduled for 9:45 didn't happen until 11:00 and I'm sitting there with 32oz of water in my bladder waiting. It was very interesting when they injected the nuclear medicine in me and I could see my kidneys and bladder light up on the screen. One kidney took forever to light up .. don't know what that's about. I've got these awesome veins that you can always see and when the nurse tried to put the catheter in my arm she missed and said it rolled. The last time I had to be stuck my vein rolled and this used to never ever happen. I asked the nurse why and she said when we get older our skin loses elasticity. I felt like punching her. Of course it wasn't her fault, it was my fault because I'm old. lol jeez, I gotta get these emotions in check!
Yesterday Devon's cat died. Devon is Karls son from a previous marriage. He only had him 4 - 5 months. I worry he was neglected. His mom does that with Devon so I can see the pets not being cared for properly. Karl said the vet went and got a garbage bag and put the cat in it and threw him in the trash right in front of Devon. WTH?? Devon is only 11. I find that hard to believe that it happened! That's what his mom told Karl though. I would be on the phone reaming out the vet and then calling whoever it is to report him.
Okay, enough about me, I don't think I've ever rambled on so .. today will be a better day!

I was 13 when Elvis died and I'll be darned if I know where I was! My memory is soooo bad. My twin is always bringing things up from our past and saying don't your remember? I rarely do and she fills me in! lol

Margaret - thanks regarding my avatar. Karl looked for an angel he though resembled me and found her .. had it tattooed on his arm in my honor. It looks really cool .. there's color in his.
I think I'd prefer evening boot camp too. I like having time to have a relaxing cup of joe in the mornings too much to have to rush off anywhere! Have fun in Vegas!

Doris - My sister bought me two long body pillows and two regular pillows right after my dx in prep for my mastectomies surgery recovery. One of the best gifts I ever got!

Marisa - LOL at your pic for denise. My dad of all people asked if I was going to be like pamela anderson. Jeez, people just don't get it.

Vickie - I'm looking forward to it all being a distant memory! I'll hold on to that thought, thank you!

Shokk - My daughter just lost a tooth and one of the first things she said was she hopes pictures aren't taken the first day of school! She's only 8 though..too young to be vain! It all starts too early these days.

BMD - lol about the cartoon characters. I had to get away last night before I heard the theme song to Full House one more time!

Deb - The fair sounds like such fun!

Cheri - You hang in there. Before you know it you Will be home recovering with your own laptop, etc. Just take it a day at a time and let them make you better! Big hugs my friend.

MizSissy - ha .. thanks for the pic of the niprings man. LOL

Shel - really??? everybody where you are has nipple rings? All I can say is OUCH!

Suz - Yeah, I've been there too where I had to have Karl help me get up out of bed! Ouch, sciatica .. had that once and it was terrible. I think I'll just go get more pillows and stay in my bed! Thanks! Enjoy your time with your DS!

Denise - Thanks sweet lady .. I realized last night I did need my rest and went to bed early. My faux boobies are better today .. still ITM's but the mounds are bigger and the pain is much more tolerable!
Turkey Brats LMAO Thanks, I needed that laugh!!!

SoCal - Oh your pictures are such a treat. The rose pictures .. are they from your garden? They are beautiful!

Odalys - (((((((Hugs))))))) for you and your sister.

Sheri - I can relate to the house being a disaster. Some things just have to wait. Happy school is going well.

Mandy - thanks, my ITM's are less tender today. Time always helps.

Melody - nice of you to pop in while you're traveling!

Jan - Wow girl, sounds like you could use a drink! Sorry to hear you're so stressed and all that's going on! This weekend will be a blast for you so it will all be worth it! I just had the same thing going on with my fam damily not so long ago. I Loved it and had a great time! But it was exhausting!

Liz - Thanks for the update on Jankay! That's great to hear about her walking! Looking forward to the SP thing .. I need some guideline on how it works having not done it before!

Jankay - Way to go girl, keep on going! Good for you!

Madison - Beautiful post. So glad to hear your daughter is progressing!

CY - You just take care of yourself and get the rest you need. It's nice to see you pop in and let us know how you're doing!

Peter - thanks mate, I'm feeling better now. Have a few days reprieve until my next fill on Monday! Love your pics on your posts!

Betty - whew, thanks for the coffee. That's Most important!

Nicki - so glad to hear you're feeling better. Now get your rest and don't do too much too soon!

Marsha - wow, you and shirley look like old buddies and you're both so adorable! You're Both such itty bitty cuties and could pass for sisters! Thanks for posting the pics!

Shirley - you are just too cute!

Lini - Yes my fills have been weekly so far. My third fill is on Monday and I'm talking to the PS then about maybe stretching the time between them longer. He said I have to wait a minimum of 3 months after the fills are done for the exchange and the longer I wait the better to avoid capsular contracture. So I'm thinking I'll wait 4 months. Because of that I want to get these fills done asap so I can get to the exchange! But I keep hearing slow and easy is the way to go. LOL about the childbirth comment..isn't that the truth how we forget the pain. I'm looking forward to that day! I know what you mean about the little leaks. I think sometimes we need to just find a place and let it all out. I have problems with doing that myself. Then it comes out at the wrong time! I'm glad you've come back here to the circle and find your cloud moving on.

Karen - there sure is always something it seems sometimes, hence my tag line! Hope things look up for you soon. I need a crown also .. just keep putting it off because of the money. I always need it for something else!

Colleen - I'd love to see that picture of Warren giving you a coursage at the Making Strides event! I hope you can find a link to that.

Marisa - ewwwwwww, that is Worse than my rat's ass pic I think!!! And nobody asked what the doggy doo looked like! lol

Mena - LOL that's right, you need to stay around and keep all hell from breaking loose! Thanks for the laughs, your posts are always uplifting! I PM'd you Cheri's number.

Well I don't think I've ever had such a long post! That's what I get for not posting last night. I've missed some but it's impossible to keep up with everyone ... know you're all in my thoughts from A - Z. Hope everyone has a great day!

Robin, each day you surprise me, I think I can't get any more proud of you and then boom, you say something else that shows me how encouraged you are. You have come a long way baby and DO NOT let him drag you down. If you were all of those things he said you were, why is he still around and why didn't he leave for greener pastures years ago? Now that your eyes are opened, you have the whole world ahead of you and don't let him steer you from that path.

Peter, thanks for the pancakes; needed them this morning. Am going to the airport soon and have a few hours before taking off. Guess I'll get my Starbucks at the airport too.

Nicki, is the wedding almost here? I went looking for a dress last night at Macy's - couldn't find one. I have a long black one I can wear but it's going to be hotter than h*ll in Sacramento in September, even at 5:00 p.m. so I'm trying to find a lighter weight one.

Marsha and Shirley, great pics. I so love putting a face with a name and getting to meet other sisters.

Colleen, I wasn't going to go to Vegas but there are three of my girlfriends going, only one plays slots, only one drinks and only one does spa treatments, so I decided to go to fill their need - I do all three, so they each have someone!

Emelee, that is just gross so early in the morning! LOL.

Mena, you really need to drop in more often, we worry about you. Glad to see your post and hope you are doing well.

    Angel, hugs to you.

Ride is here. Will try to check in later. Love you all.

Well happy Friday to everyone........thank goodness.....well last night I had to go to the high school at 8 to pick up my daughter from band practice and you could see this band of clouds to the south east and they were black as any clouds I have ever seen......well sure enough at about 8:15 kids were getting into cars.....the precussionist were loading their drums......it started to rain and I swear all of a sudden it started to rain so hard could not hear a thing inside the car......the wind was unbelievable and the lightening was air to ground and hitting everywere......I don't think I remember anything like that.......no one moved from the parking lot......it lasted about 45 minutes and then it was gone........it was the rements of Erin.........geez........of bunch of kids jumped out of their cars and were hooping and yelling.....everyone was laughing.......but for a few minutes there it was really scarey.......my closet was about a mile away.........don't like being caught out of the closet.....right Amy.......ha..........phone brb......

Nicki......honey I really don't want to type what I'm about to type because this is so not my business but I don't know if you have damage from the chemo or from radiation but you really are going to have to consider to stop smoking....and let me say this about smoking.....I think as long as smoking is a legal (tobacco) then I think anyone should be able to smoke.....smoke does not bother me.....when I use to go out to dinner lots of time I would sit in smoking area because it usually is alot less crowded......but Nicki sweetheart something is going on with your lungs and they seem to be struggling......maybe just quit for a while until you can go longer then 6 months without some sort of lung infection.....you can tell me to go jump in the lake or into the cow patti but I sure do love you and I am very worried about you.......you are having way to many colds, etc........it might help your WBC as well.......don't smokers usually on a whole have slightly lower WBC anyway.......oh geez phone.....Nicki don't be mad just a thought......

CY - how are you doing? I never did get to tell Scott "bye" at Pinkstock. You are such a cute couple!

Nicki - I guess I missed the part about you having pnenomia, and that's why you're sweating, NOT from hot flashes....duh. Glad to hear you're feeling better.

Robin - you ROCK my friend! Isn't it refreshing and empowering to feel in control of your life? I'm so proud of you!

    Morning everyone!

Robin - I don't "know" you but it sounds like you've had an especially challenging year. Congratulations on your metamorphosis! I felt so happy reading your post - you are SO empowered! Good on ya!
    image

Nicki - I am so glad you're feeling better. I know what you mean about the loss of appetite. I lost 15lbs! I was actually hoping chemo would be like that for me - not sick or upset stomach - just not hungry! Unfortunatley, the steroids tend to give me a raging appetite for a while! Continue to rest - it takes a while to get your strength back!

Marsha/Shirley - what beautiful women you both are! I had Shirley pictured quite differently in my minds eye. I love avatars but I love photos even more. Marsha your hair looks awesome and if you ask me (which you're not) I think you should keep it short...very stylish!

Mena and Emelee - thatnks for your posts/pix - you both made me laugh this morning. Love the doggy do! Can't wait to go check out Puppy's rebuttal!

Charlene - I miss you old avatar and your sweet smiling face! Your sweetness really comes through in all your posts - I can see why you like angels - you are just like one only here on earth - you are so kind and thoughtful...all of your posts always mention everyone personally...you are an amazing person! I hope you feel better soon in all aspects! This is for you!

Oh my gosh my golly! Check in real quick at lunch and the first thing I see is the dog poop! Way too funny!

I'm not sure if this will work, but I need to try to counteract the poop, so here's the link:

    http://makingstrides.acsevents.org/site/...ndjv9oyo1.app9a

If it doesn't, you can Google "acs making strides against breast cancer", then click on Massachusetts and then select the Boston walk and you'll go to the home page. Scroll down to the bottom to see me and my baby boy!

Mena - always brings a smile to my face to see you post. I think I can honestly say you cause that reaction in everyone!!

Emelee - the poop picture is way too funny, I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to go check out the one that made that one look tame! LOL

Vicki - You're an Eeyore too? It's like we're the same person! (OK, well, except I don't have the artistic talent that you do!)

Nicki - glad to hear you're on the mend, and as a side note, glad to hear your ribs are A-OK!!!

    Whoops, gotta boogie again... brb

Hi to all my CG sisters and Peter!! I've been a bit lost this week. I had a biopsy on Wednesday and it felt like a lumpectomy all over again, 12 stitches! Then I go to work the next day and realize I am bleeding everywhere from the wound, I popped a stitch - silly me, should have stayed home.

But today I'm good, I have tons of pages to read and I will catch up and be back later. I think of you all everyday.

    Tons of Love to You!!!
