Just a thought here .... I notice a lot of us are having MAJOR computer issues. My laptop just plain died and then my desktop pc drive was so fried that I lost all my data.
Could we maybe be getting virus or something from photobucket or other sites that we are downloading from??
    Whaddyathink??

Hi Everyone from A to Z! It was a good day today although I am pretty tired out. I was right to name the new drain Elvis because.......ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING! 4 PM today he got pulled. Just have to keep a dry dressing on and I can wear my comfy bras not the surgical bra with the itchy scratchy velcro. I have a couple bras I got from a friend of mine and the almost boob on the right and the skin flap on the left fill out the cup just fine. As soon as I am cleared of the staph infection I will go on to the next step.

Charlene, PLEASE don't be scared because of what I am goign through. I reread what you said after my post and I need to reassure you that what I have is so very UNcommon in recon. And BTW, I cried last night when I sw a Victoria's Secret ad on TV with those gals with perfect breasts. You want to cry, then go right ahead. Holding in emotions of any kind is not good. I will ship you cartons of Kleenex. You don't live all that far...I will hand-deliver 'em!

Cheri, so glad you do not need a PICC line. It is no fun at all and my arm is still sore from mine. Hurts worse after having a blood pressure cuff on when they took out the implant. Just get well and fell better. Make sure you find out where that popsicle stick came from before they put it on your tongue, LOL. At least let them give you the fudgicle first!

I did not take notes, for a change, and I am too tired to remember all I wanted to say. Just know I am praying tonight for all of us, especially those in need of healing the most.

BMD - You crack me up! I guess the 70's were really good to you! (ha ha) Maybe your friend was crying about Elvis on his birthday (which I think is January 8th) that would explain the snowstorm...

CherylG - I too wondered about a virus from photobucket or possible event his website. I know I have more pop ups now on this site than I ever had before - in fact I never even had pop ups before...and I just spent $300 fixing my computer! Photobucket is so fun - I just learned how to post pix - I hope I don't have to stop!!

Well, I am off to play some volleyball with my hubby and my daughter then we are going to have a fire in our firepit in the yard...so have a good night everyone!

By the way, Nicki, I think your hubby has said some pretty cruel things to you that are so way out there (attention from the bc????? Yeah, that's just what every woman wishes for!!!) I think it's back into the deliverance tent for him!

Lisa... do we just download that one?

Peter.... OMG that picture is priceless!!!

Nicki ... I so wish I was closer to you so that I could kick DH where it counts and see what his pain tolerance is!!! Because I got a temporary disabled parking permit I had one co-worker say "aren't you milking that BC thing a bit much? What does BC have to do with being disabled anyway?" I told her honey... when your bones are so brittle they can break from even a slight fall (thank u arimidex) and your ankles are so sore you think they can't hold you up anymore you can come and question my disability. Imagine!!! She sure must have worked hard to get that stupid

Well good night all ... sleep well and be well

Thought I would drop in for a bit before turning in. Its a Friday night and not that late but for some reason the ole lady is tired.

Vicki I would be surprised if your daughter gets to go on the cruise - Dean I heard a bit ago is now a Cat. 4. The path it is on will take it across the tip of Mexico into Texas coast.

Shokk - get that closet ready and lots of supplies. Not sure where you live but would think rain and wind at least.

We are so dry here. We have had 2 weeks of temps 100 or more - we were already in a severe drought situation before all of that. If we get hard rain it will just run off as the ground is so dry but at this point we will take anything. We have a well and everyone is starting to worry about the water situation. Gov. has even ask us to do things like "turn the water off while brushing your teeth". Some things we do as second nature but when I made an effort to conserve in the smallest of ways, realized just how much water we use needlessly.

MB- think I missed your birthday. Late Happy Birthday. Hope you had a good time at the cookout.

Marsha/Shirley - I so loved the picture. You are Two Beautiful Women. Marsha, you look rather sexy with that short hair!!

Madison - glad to read that your daughter has finally been able to keep down some food. Hope you continue to get news that she is improving.

Mena - where ya been??? Hope you are doing well.

Beth - glad that your drain is out. Hope you continue to improve and all of this is soon behind you.

Jankay- glad to see you can post again.

Colleen - your son is precious and that smile he has; gonna break someone heart. You are a tiny little thing too!!!!

Z - sorry to hear you are having problems. Hope all is ok. Good to see you post. How was your trip/vacation - was it to Napa Valley? That's what I have in my brain anyway.

Robin- it is so good to see you making plans and more upbeat. We all need dreams and plans to keep us going.

Susan - how are you??? Let us know - we miss you.

I want to tell all of you what at treat it was to meet Betty in Tenn. Thursday evening. I so enjoyed being with her and we talked as if we had known eachother forever. I got a late start - plus I got pulled for a speeding ticket in good ole Va. while trying to adjust my compression sleeve; apparently as I braced to pull on the sleeve my foot also braced harder on the gas - TRUE STORY!!! - and had another hour to drive home after meeting with Betty. It was worth every moment and we hope to do it again soon, right Betty? Let me tell you she has one of the nicest telephone voices I have ever heard - she shouldn't have a problem landing a job at all. She is just as nice in person too.

Betty - know you birthday is Sat so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Cheri -glad they can use your port; something good finally. BIG, BIG, hugs to you.

Nicki - I'm reading a book called "dancing in Limbo" and is an "after" cancer book. I could only read the first chapter and had to put it down; it was to close. So far, I have handled it OK after that. So much of our lives are "limbo" after a diagnosis and treatment for cancer. My husband stayed gone - he stayed at the restaurant; knew where he was but he just couldn't deal with what was happening to me. He told me later he couldn't fix me and he didn't know what to do - he was helpless. Sometimes when people feel helpless - they strike out in ways that can really hurt. I honestly don't know how I would feel if Richard would have said ugly things to me. My heart breaks for the many women that men have left shortly after they were diagnosed with breast cancer. I probably would have been in prison right now if that had happened. Having been divorced and remarried - I made up my mind a long time ago though that I wasn't going to ever endure the kind of remarks to hurt and destroy my self esteem that I had in the past. We all stay in marriages for lots of reasons but it sure is hard to continue to love someone when they say ugly things to hurt. I bet you would have lots of "sisters" lining up at your door to give him a swift kick where the sun don't always shine to show enough is enough. Sorry that you are feeling bad and just having an out and out couple of lousy days. It's time you had some sunshine in your days and I wish that for you. Hugs!!

Gina - I'm thinking you have had big problems with your chemo on Wed for no one not to have heard from you. I'm worried too.

    Jas, Amy- where are you????

Margaret, Karen, you gals are just to darn busy!!!!!

Deb - hope you and family are having a blast at the fair.

Hubby is calling. Been on the computer trying to write this post for longer than I realized.

Hugs to all from A-Z - love you all, Brenda

Good evening ladies. No notes taken, I just feel lucky to be on here posting. lol I sent some really cool, gross out pics to all thyat I had email addys on. I will almost for certain have to do antibiotics for a fewweeks, but I talked them into using my port instead of puttingin a port, I had a PICC for 13 weeks once and hated it but now I just have the....hahaha I started to stray into left field with my rambling thoughts....

Mena, maybe if you'd post once in awhile you'd know when close friends went to the hosp and what for, ya think? Sent you a PM (I think)

Marsha, loved your pics with Shirley, you both are adorable.
Shirley, loved your pics with Marsha , you both are adorable

Nicki, so glad to hear you're feeling better, I've had pneumonia and was really sick. Don't over do when you start feeling better or you'll be in brd sick again.

Peter, I saw that you are back.

Jankay, so glad you have a computer again. I know that was bad without one. Thank you for the morning calls each day. IT'S A NICE WAY TO START MY DAY. Danged caps key.

Vickie, nice to communicate with you today.

Gina, are you sick or whats going on with you?

I must be getting tired tonight cause I can't think of anything else to say...except a big ole THANK YOU to all of my friends who've called me, said prayersfor Amber and I, and asked about me and didn;t just forget me. I love you guys you are my family. I don't know when I'm getting out of here, iask and nobody seems to know, they want to be sure I'm on the right antibiotic. They think I am and so do I. My leg is very sore and still hurts but the swelling is gone and the redness too. It stopped draining a couple days ago. It's not a staph infection but they're not sure what it is, several infections at once. I am tired

Iris, my friend. you are correct as usual.

I just want to go home

Little Zachary was doing very badly in math. His
parents had tried everything...tutors, mentors, flash
cards, special learning centers. In short, everything
they could think of to help his math.

Finally, in a last ditch effort, they took Zachary
down and enrolled him in the local Catholic school.
After the first day, little Zachary came home with a
very serious look on his face. He didn't even kiss
his mother Hello. Instead, he went straight to his
room and started studying. Books and papers were
spread out all over the room and little Zachary was
hard at work. His mother was amazed. She called him
    down to dinner.

To her shock, the minute he was done, he marched back
to his room without a word, and in no time, he was
back hitting the books as hard as before. This went
on for some time, day after day, while the mother
tried to understand what made all the difference.

Finally, little Zachary brought home his report card.
He quietly laid it on the table, went up to his room
and hit the books. With great trepidation, his Mom
looked at it and to her great surprise, little Zachary
got an ‘A’ in math. She could no longer hold her
curiosity. She went to his room and said, "Son, what
was it? Was it the nuns?" Little Zachary looked at
her and shook his head, no. "Well, then," she
replied, "Was it the books, the discipline, the
structure, the uniforms? WHAT WAS IT ALREADY?"

Little Zachary looked at her and said, "Well, on the
first day of school when I saw that guy nailed to the
plus sign, I knew they weren't fooling around."

Welcome to this friendly thread SamEyeYam. I think you will enjoy it.

Cheryl--Come to think of it I got my virus' in my computer the right after the week-end I spent on the cyper pinkstock party. It was the first time I downloaded a bunch of pictures.

Well my PC and new laptop are loaded for the kill now. I have Trendmicro in both and a router set up. If anyone tries to screw with my computer again I better hear about it before the virus kills it again.

    Time for bed. Nighty, Night.

    > >
    > >
    > > That's right. These are awards for the most outlandish lawsuits and verdicts that happened during 2006. You know, the kinds of cases that make you scratch your head. Here are the "Stellas" for the past year:

    > > To kick things off the right way, there was a three-way tie for 5th place.
    > >
    > >
    > > Kathleen Robertson was awarded $80,000 by a jury of her peers after breaking her ankle tripping over a toddler who was running inside a furniture store. The store owners were understandably surprised by the verdict considering the running toddler was Ms. Robertson's son.
    > >
    > >
    > > Also in 5th place is Carl Truman, 19, who won $74,000 plus medical expenses when his neighbor ran over his hand with a Honda Accord. Truman apparently didn't notice there was someone at the wheel of the car when he was trying to steal his neighbor's hubcaps. Go ahead. Grab your head scratcher.
    > >
    > >
    > > The last of the 5th place winners was Terrence Dickson, who was leaving a house he had just burglarized by way of the garage. Unfortunately for Dickson, the automatic garage door opener malfunctioned and he could not get the garage door to open. Worse, he couldn't re-enter the house because the door connecting the garage to the house locked when Dickson pulled it shut. Forced to subsist for eight -- count 'em, 8! -- days on a case of Pepsi and a large bag of dry dog food, he sued the homeowner's insurance company claiming undue mental anguish. Amazingly, the jury said the insurance company must pay Dickson $500,000 for his anguish. We should all have this kind of anguish. Keep scratching.

Grrrrr. Scratch, scratch.
    > >

The reason the soft drink was on the floor? Ms. Carson had thrown it at her boyfriend 30 seconds earlier during an argument. What ever happened to people being responsible for their own actions? Scratch, scratch, scratch.

Go figure.

On her first trip home - from an OU football game, no less - having driven on to the free way, she set the cruise control at 70 mph and calmly left the driver's seat to go to the back of the Winnebago to make herself a sandwich.

Beth .. Oh no, don't worry about it! I'm aware of the fact that women have complications, you and Karen have had your fair share, and I just meant that I'm prepared for the possibility. I do however plan to get through this without any. I hope if I keep telling myself that it will come true! LOL Thanks, I guess being only 5 months out from my dx it's still unbelievable to me how much my life has changed. I should let it out more in private so that it doesn't accidentally burst out like it did at my dd's soccer game!

Denise .. LMAO GD wore you out huh? She's 2 isn't she? My Ava is approaching that age and is a bundle of energy like her older sister! Hey she keeps you young though, doesn't she?

SamEyeYam .. Welcome. You found a great group to join for love and support and fun!

Cheri .. Okay, I'm sooooo glad I wasn't eating when I opened your email!!! I'm glad to hear the swelling and redness is gone along with the oozing. The way it looked I'd imagine it would be sore for awhile. Stay strong girlfriend and get your rest! I agree with what you said to Jazz .. she needs to come back here, it's just not the same without her!

Shirley .. No mushy? lol sweet sloppy wet kisses to you!!! We Love those from you!

Peter .. Good night to you. Pretty horsies.

CherylG .. You may be on to something about the viruses.

Christine .. I love your new avatar .. you're beautiful!

Jankay .. Shaking my head at the Stella Awards!

Nicki .. wow, I'm so sorry about your DH. This is your anniversary weekend isn't it? It's so sad that he has been so hateful. He sounds like he has other issues and takes them all out on you. There's a thread here about Good Morning America you've probably seen where everyone is up in arms about how GMA is portraying breast cancer treatment as easy breezy. Supposedly Everybody works through chemo with no problems and nobody dies from it. This kind of media misinformation isn't helpful for the majority who don't find it so easy. Big hugs to you.

Iris Angel .. hope all is well, miss you.

    ((((( Odalys )))))

    Love&Hugs to everyone from A - Z

Just popping in for a quickie this morning. Well, no quickies eslewhere but we don't need to travel that road right now, LOL. Let's just say, Larry's back i sout again and I am still scared to get that close especially after the implant got removed.

Charlene, I have to check ut that GMA thread. I lived through my dad's treatment and took my best friend to so many of her chemos and rads and I know how she felt all the time. And, OOOOO, the terrible two's. My baby is goign through the terrible teens. That's another whole post.

Nicki, I applaud you for hanging in there with your dh. I left mine after 6 years of that and never looked back. I feel lucky to have found Larry and love for the first time in my life. Please let us know where we can help. My heart breaks for you and I can't stand it when a friend is hurting. Robin does have the backhoe ready......

Mena, tag, you're it! I left the last message last night! When is Settlement? How is Dawn? Have you heard from Ishop/sue lately? Me neither. Gonna send a posse out for her!

My big Sis, Puppy! How good to see you post and what a post you did apparently! Say hey to Jake and Ed for me!
    image

Z, hope you are feeling better today. I freaked when I saw blood dripping after my initial surgery and passed out on Larry and hit my head on my mom's wheelchair on the way down! Think I should change my name to Calamity Jane!

Cheri, still saying special prayers for you this weekend. You need them so.

    Christine, how's the hand doing?

Liz, what more can I say?

Vickie, I will get to the P.O. TODAY! I am sending more squares if that's OK. I will call and check with you later this morning. BTW, where are you? I beat you today?image

Madison, how is dd? Food poisoning is so hard to get through and can be debillatating. You must be worried so much. I would send an e-card but with all those bogus ones, I was afraid you wouldn't open it, LOL. Did you ever make that purse?

Odalys, sending hugs hugs and kisses your way.
Karen, I do hope you are feeling better too. School starts early for you guys too. We start after Labor Day but they are talking about the school year in 2010 to cahnge it.

    good morning all...
Whew...just dragged my butt out of bed! Its chilly this morning...50 degrees. Yuck again. All you girls out there in the heat are welcome to come stay at my house LOL. Actually we could just switch for a while.
Talked to DD till really late last night (didn't dare call Cheri after talking to her cuz I didn't want to wake her...sorry Cheri...I'll call ya in a bit)...the cruise line has changed their destination to the Bahama's. I personally don't think that sounds one bit safer...they are leaving tomorrow. Keeping a close watch on Dean...not just for my daughter but for all our girls in its past.
Have tons of mowing to do today as it looks like I'm mowing for the people I bought my house from. They are elderly and not in good shape (Papa Neil and Donna dear...Nates "adopted" grandparents). He called yesterday to see if I'd mow their lawn (which unfortunatley is bigger than mine) and I said I would. He just can't do it anymore. He can't get on and off the mower and she is just so sick. Makes me sad.
Nicki...I'm here. I tried to post last night but couldn't get online. We were having some pretty magor storm and I got some really cool cloud pictures that I will share later. It was really strange weather and cloud formations like nothing I've ever seen. Up the valley was black as night, down the valley were blue skies!
Brenda...I think I'll look up that book. Being in limbo describes it perfectly.
Cheri pal...I'll call you in a bit. Gonna let you wake up and I need a shower first. So very much wish I were closer.
Madison and Liz...where are you? Missin ya!
Jasmine...really wish you'd come back and stay. Once a circle girl always a circle girl and we miss you.
Angel...you are so sweet. Praying for no complications for you.
Beth...Elvis has left the building already! That was quick and I'm happy for you. Crying over the Victoria Secret commercials...yup...been there and done that. Really think they should be banned. Maybe we should all put on one of their bra's and send them a picture of what's real. I could really get on my soapbox about this one but I won't. They wonder why young girls have such low self esteem.
Good morning Jankay...I got your myspace comment so I'll work on yours later.
Christine...good to see you...you look fantastic.
Good night and sweet dreams Peter...saw my comment on myspace too LOL...good one.
Shopmama...where are you? Missing you and ready to round up a posse...
Looks like lots of missing girls...hmmm...if anyone has numbers maybe we should start calling. Couldn't hurt.
Ok...missing a bunch of ya but gotta get busy or I'll never get a chance to relax this weekend.
    Love and hugs all around
    Vickie

Vickie .. Thanks, I know what you mean about the girls low self esteem. What this society portrays as important in a woman really disgusts me and those commercials are ridiculous. Where are the sexy men prancing around half naked? Why can't we get some eye candy every 10 minutes on tv too? oh, don't get me started....

Colleen - I meant to tell you that I looked at your link and just wanted to say that Warren is so adorable and he's looking up at you so lovingly. What a precious picture!
