TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

Good evening ladies! What a great day. I was set free today...my Infection Control Dr. took me off my home infusion IV meds!! Man, I been doing that stuff twice a day, 2 different meds, for 8 weeks. He's going to put me on oral antibiotics and I would much rather swallow a pill than infuse meds in my port.
Wow, "you love me, you really love me" in the famous words of Miss Sally Field at Oscar time. Jazzy Baby, where are you today? I answered your Help Wanted sign. Very clever, you silly girl.
Sloandeb, I hope you start feeling better. I remember you from Chat. I wasn't big into it, well for one thing i can't type worth spit, and couldnt keep up but I did play around with it a bit last winter. Alot of names I recall and maybe chatted just a bit with most of you, like Choca.
Marsha! We've come home! Glad you had a good time at lunch. You must tell me all about it. Incidentally, people don't usually use the phrase 'get back to normal' and my name in the same sentence. hahaha
Welcome Bin, I think you must've sneaked in sometime when I was in the Big House doing time. hahaha Good to have you.
Charlene, Angel Baby, how goes it? Long as some of you girls just drop in once in awhile then the Circle is alive and well.
Aaaammmmyyyy, come on in and post sugar. I think I saw a couple of posts from you on some previous pages.
Nicki, you nutty, nutty nurse. We are the Circle you know. No matter where we go so we might as well drop in here and let the gang all know we are still kickin it!
Bren, come on in the waters....tepid. hahahaha Better than before.
Gina!! My top 10 best friends. I notice you make a stop almost every day in here. That's all that can be expected when you don't feel good. I'll be so glad when your treatments are over.
CherylCY, my darlin. You are the main reason I came back here. I know you post here and you missed things. I missed you too. Hope you are feeling better. I don't want to call you cos you might be resting so if you heard any news from your onc and when you feel like it you can call or IM or post or whatever you want to do. Still holding your hand.
Margo, my girly friend. Oh shoot, drop in every now and then. You have the few min. it takes to show your support and that we are still the Circle and we are still here.
Shokk, you are one of my very favorite posters. You wrote me quite the post yesterday and it actually sank in....well some of it did. You and Amy have got to quit fighting over my attention tho cos now it's caused Charlene to get all up in airs. lol
Welcome to all the new girls if you're still around. I know it's been pretty quiet around here lately but we are still here. I'm very easy to get acquainted with so jump right in.
Hey to Carrie, Denise, Brenda, Neesie, Janny, Iris, Gus, Boo, Christine, Donna, Shirley, Sheri, BMD, Nancy, omg, I am getting rusty at naming everyone by memory, lets see, Madison, MB, Vickie, Jankay, Choca, Jeannie, CherylG, Z, Odalys, Susan, Tracey, Deb, Lini, Liz, Oh my, I know I'm leaving some out by mistake but I'm a little out of practice. If i missed ya,i'll think of you next time around.
Thank you all that welcomed me back home, I do appreciate it.
Wishing you all a very nice evening.

Cheri - girlfriend ... you rock, so glad to have you back.

Hi girls, as usual I'm lost. I'm going to try to go read but this sinus infection is getting the best of me. Here's to everyone having a peaceful, restful night. I'll be back later.
Hugs

Nice to see circle girls together again
cheri let me know if u still want phone calls in iowa especially since dennis will be hunting.
i thought i had it bad girls, i talked to a woman who was a cervical cancer survivor (is), has parkinsons and was just diagnosised with ms. ithought i had it bad!
0 -
Well geeze, Bren. Gee is my face red...hahahaha So you are also BINVA? Hmmm. You have an avatar that I'm used to seeing and I think it says Bren above it if I'm not mistaken. well, it does cut down on having another Brenda. LOL You've confused me but then that's not real difficult. Your husband drives a truck, right?
Hey Liz, girly friend. So sorry you're still messin with that sinus infection. Have you seen a dr? Bet not. I had a real bad one a couple of weeks ago and how in the world any infection could live in my body through all those IV antibiotics coursing thru my veins I'll never know. But I didn't think that thing was ever gonna go away. But it did.
I'll be back a little later.

Cheri - you're baaaa-ak!!! Great!!!!!!!!! Doing the happy, happy dance that you got the port out and no more infusions. What you gonna do with all that time???
Jas, I'm here too. Just haven't had much time to post with staying with my mom every 3rd night and 24hour shift on weekends, work and then all the stuff that went on last week with me. Time and energy became a big problem.
Liz - thank you, big thank you, for getting the Christmas List together. Feel better soon.
Jankay - didn't realize you live in Kingsport, Tn. Years ago we would come over frequently and go to the Haggle Antique Shops downtown and all the other antique places there too. We went to Johnson City, Jonesboro, Greenville (I think), Bristol - all antiquing. Was fun but we haven't done that since we got the restaurant 11 years ago. We aren't far on the "other side of the mountain" in NC.
Welcome to all the new gals - good to see the "old gang" too.
WildJan - somewhere I read you did BP fudge. Between that and afghans you've been busy. Like the flowers on the afghan squares.
Guys, I'm gonna sign off - I was so far behind in running errands for the restaurant since Mom has been sick and that is all I have done for 2 days. I'm just tired. Had to drop the vehicle off at the Ford dealership so they can replace both rear wheel bearings tomorrow. That is a real nice hefty repair bill.
Saw where Jas and Nicki were talking about unpaid bill from insurance. Guys the last three years I have had to meet my deductible and copays - plus all the money for the doctor visits and parking that you incur out of pocket. It has been huge and quite honestly I'm surprised that we didn't get an IRS audit. We also have a home equity loan now!!! Aug. 1st I started deductible and copay all over again. They want me now to have an MRI of the breast and I'll have to meet deductible on that. It NEVER ends. I "think" they will cover the mammography and ultrasound and biopsy - I think!! Guess I've now started on year #4 meeting deductibles and copays. I feel so darn guilty for what it has done to our finances.
Hope everyone can rest tonight and we all feel chipper in the morning.

evening all! yeah Mon Cheri is back!
Computer was having fits last night so I couldn't get on, barely made it tonight.
Well I finished the antibiotics on Sunday and on Monday they gave me another weeks worth! They will check the incesions next week unless they get worse in the meantime. The old port site is still seeping and that really bugs me!
In the meantime I am working as little OT as I can. I still have tons to do and the new gals has to learn my job and customer service at the same time so I try not to have her do too much at once and keep as much as possible off my desk just in case I can't make it in. I don't think one of the VP's liked the fact that I was working OT. but everyone is while we are still short one person and more if someone takes a vacation day, which people are starting to do so they don't lose them. there are 3 of us that get close to 5 weeks a year and only one person can be out at a time.
Wild Jan I love PB Fudge! what is that boy thinking you can never have too much PB. I had it everyday growing up!
Tracey, hope that dd of yours realizes she worries you. Glad to see you posting more. we sure missed you.
Niki I laugh when I see your gal dancing and think of you dancing in front of the mirror to the circle power songs!
Jankay hope you are feeling better. I know it's hard sometimes but I try to always remember that someone is doing worse off than me and I should be grateful for what I have and what I can do. That's part of what drives me to do as much as I do each day.
Marsha hope your feeling better and am so glad you got to meet Vickie, Nate and MB! they are wonderful people.
Gina, how are you doing dear. I think of you a lot and pray that what ever treatment you are doing is working and not giving you such a hard time.
can't remember who else I wanted to mention something to so will call it good for now
I'm thinking and praying for you all from Amy to Z!
Throwing logs on the fire cause it's down right cold here I think it might just freeze tonight!
Hugs and prayers

Yup, Cheri, that's me. I'm trying to keep it from getting too confusing with all the Brenda's, so I'll try to remember to sign with both names. AND I'll put my picture back up on this site. That should help. Yes, My Mr. Tim drives a truck and you gave me some good encouragement about that, even though you were going through a hard time with your infusions and going back and forth to IA for treatments!
Love ya!

puter is starting to act up a lot, windows keeps trying to recover something and it's starting to really bug me, besides I'm getting sore from sitting in this chair, it's been a long day
BinVa you're up late!

Cy - Yea, just reading, but too tired to address everyone. I'm slacking off. I promise I'll catch up tomorrow. YOU work way harder than anyone I know!!
I'm sure glad to see everyone back here though.

Dropping in to see how everyone is doing.
Cheri, welcome back. You were missed. I certainly missed your humor LOL.
Marsha, how was lunch?
Liz, are you getting antibiotics for your sinus infection? You've had it for awhile.
Jankay, I tell myself that if I look around, I will always find someone worse off than me.
Cheri, there are three Brendas - Naniam/Brenda, Brenda/BMD, and BinVa/Bren.
Tracey - bear poop - yuck.
CY, what kind of work do you do?
We haven't had this much posting here in ages.
Gina, where are you?
Back later.
Margaret

Just checking in again. I had a great lunch with friends today. My in-laws are in town too. My tongue hurts from talking so much. I need to get to bed soon.
Cheri-I just wanted to ask if you are doing anything to support your poor insides from all those antibiotics. Some acidopholus would be a really good idea. So happy you are off the infusions.
Well no time to mention you all tonight. Sleep well from Amy to Z.

Good Morning Everyone: Today I have to be to work early, so once again I dont have much time - just wanted to say hello and bring some sunshine your way.
Its was good to read back and hear from so many.
CY: you are my idol. I dont know how you do it, but you do - and you dont even complain about it. Working full time, on chemo with a major infection has got to be really really hard. Hope you go your computer fixed.
The wagon circle has always be a safe place. I think sometimes new people would like to join in, but get intimidated by so many people posting here. New people are always welcome. One of the main reasons we are here is to help those who are new get through this roller coaster ride.
OK - gotta go. Have a wonderful day - everyone.

Good morning everyone from Anal to Zany!
I just wanted to add my own "It could Be Worse". Every time I start feeling sorry for myself I think of Paulettte, a woman I know here in town.
As I was coming out of the next to the last rads session, burnt to a crisp I ran into Paulette in the parking lot. As you know there is only one reason to be at the rad onc office. I told her I was sorry to see her there and she replied "I've got melanoma of the vagina of all the things. They are trying to shrink the tumor with radiation before surgery". Well I knew very well what rads were like but the thought of it DOWN THERE gives me the shudders. I saw a mutual friend the other day and found out the rads for her were done, surgery was up next (oh my God, what do they remove??) but that things don't really look good for her.
So everytime I have a pity party, I think of her. It CAN be worse. Please pray for Paulette.
Marsha

Cheri - Welcome Back!
Tracey - I hope that you hear from your daughter soon.
Nicki - Good morning!
Liz - thanks for the card list - now have to go card shopping. Hope you are feeling better.
CY - you amaze me with your spirit, just try to take it easy. That computer of yours had better stop misbehaving. I hate when that happens.
Slonedeb - you are in my prayers.
BMD - lunch with friends sounds nice.
Hi to Shokk, Charlene, and Margaret
Namian - I don't think a lot of people realize that even with insurance everything is not always covered.
Only read this page, need to go back and read and will post later. Lots of work to get done. I have some upper respiratory thing going on too. Seems a lot of it is going around.
Love and hugs to all from A to Z
Suz

Hopefully this will be me next summer .. ha!
CY - How are you doing? I'm glad to hear you are trying to work less overtime. You said that everybody is having to work it though ... but hon, everybody isn't dealing with what you are. You probably tire of hearing people tell you to slow down but we just worry and love you so. Your health needs to come first!
Marsha - Praying for Paulette.
Cheri - We love you, we Really love you!
Hi Suz - Always good to see you! Hope you don't get too sick with the upper respiratory thing.
I'm running late and wish I had time to address you all. I want to say welcome to the newcomers though ... I know we've had a few but I haven't seen any very recent posts from them. I have to go for a flu shot and pneumonia shot today. Still waiting for my Onc to get the results of my CT Chest Scan. Hope everyone has a good day.
Love&Hugs,
Charlene

Oops - big thunder.

Charlene-hoping for good results for you.
nicki-great words to the newbies. Everybody is welcome its not like this is a club or anything. We are just a great group of women that have bonded and formed close friendships. You can never have too many friends.

cy-hoping you feel better than you were feeling. We got some cancer cells to kick dont we?

Good Morning Sisters! I always seem to start the day with my sisters after I joined the Circle even if its just reading and not posting.
WB CHERI>um could you please remove the handcuffs? They seem kinda kinky looking on you! LOL!
MARSHA>prayers for Paulette
LIZW>its just looking like rain here this morning, hasn't happend yet. Lots of wind though. Maybe the good Lord is holding it off so my son can move his stuff from his ex fiance's and storage with our truck.
PB Fudge...I was talking to my oldest son in IM yesterday and mentioned I had made PB fudge. He said OMG Mom send me some, I haven't had any in a long time. So I have a box for him ready to go to the post office.
JANKAY>wow both Parkisins and MS? Never seen a person with both, just with either or.
TRACEY>ewwww that sounds worse than dogs rolling in horse poop!

Good morning Circle Girls! Trust you all slept well and long enough. I had griped cos my infusions kept me up so late every night and the first night without having to be tied down to them I was still up very late. Sometimes I think i just like to gripe. lol
Gee look at all the bright eyed, pretty little faces here this morning. My oh my. "Romper bomper stomper boo....I see Nicki, Margo, Marsha, Suz, Liz, Charlene, Amy, and Wildjan." (Please tell me someone remembers Romper Room and the magic mirror)
Marsha, prayers for Paulette. There is always people so much worse off than we are. The problems come when we forget that.
Suz, thank you. Good to be back and thanks for the nice feedback the other day.
Liz, thanks darlin for all the hard work you put into the Christmas Card thingy.
Amykins, the food. I had my head stuck so far down in the feedbag it must've taseted alright. hahaha
Wildjan, well they gave me the handcuffs to match my bright orange jumpsuit. As far as removing the cuffs...ahem....I think the mods here prefer I keep them on while posting in this forum. hahahahaha However, they did allow me to remove the duct tape from my mouth and that saved me months of having to have my upper lip waxed. LOL
Jazzy, you got some splainin too dooo! Where ya been, now you posted that Help Wanted sign and I walked through hell and high water to apply only to find you....not. Can't find you at all.
CY, my friend. I don't think I can get any mushier than some of these girls have, not in my nature, but you know I have your hand through it all.
Wishing you all a wonderful day. I'll try and be back later. Any of you new girls just reading out there, when you feel strong enough to post come on in. This is a great group of women and we are so easy to get acquainted with. We're here for you and each other.
Off to Ginas site, I do love that place. It's just so user friendly. I figure I'm multitalented, I can post at both places each day, ahem, every day I meant to say.

Good morning girls and Peter?..........Amy I'm here don't worry about Charlene she's just a whisper of a little thing.......I could hip butt her and she would go flying.......................Cheri so glad you are done with the infussions.........Margaret I just had to smile when you mention Judge Judy to Wild/Jan and that stupid ex girlfriend stuff her poor son is having to go thru but anyway my mom just loves Judge Judy and almost everytime I mention anything my mom will say "will you know what Judge Judy would say"..........no mom not really........here is one of my converstaions with my mom........Shokk.....will onc says need to do lung scan in January......shokk's mom will respond.........will you know what Judge Judy would say............wth????????...........ummmmmmm guess Judge Judy would say Shokk go get your lung scans done........I am dead serious.......love my mom to death but there are times when she reminds me of the movie "Rainman" ......almost 4 o'clock.........she will not answer the phone or go anywhere when Judge Judy is on.........anyway.....will check back in see ya later gators.............................0
-
Oh and one more thing..............Hey to Jas.........sure do miss seeing you sweetie...........................
0 -
Slonedeb - sending you a hug. Hope you are having a better day (((((deb))))))
Cheri - glad your infusions are all done. FLY...be free J
Liz - hope the schnoz is feeling better and the infection is calming down. I hate sinus infections.
Tracey - glad to see you posting. What is it with dogs and poop??? My mom is out of town, so I am watching her two dogs as well as my own. I took them for a walk yesterday and both my mom's dogs were eating horse poop and my dog rolled in a fresh pile of turkey poop! Can you say NASTY!!! LOLOL I have to admit that bear poop is the worst smelling though, and my dog can never resist rolling in it either.
Marsha - I am keeping Paulette in my prayers. One of the things that kept me from wallowing in self pity during my treatment was all the folks I would see at the hospital and my doctor's office that were obviously having a worse time than me....
I'm going to resort to wishing everyone from A to Z a good day...I'm off to fix some breakfast. I'm thinking poached eggs and toast with a slice of Canadian bacon....any takers??

Just a quickie to say I'm glad to see so many sisters returning---and some new friends have come to the circle too! The place was eerily quiet for a long time---especially after Cheri was incarcerated!
I know I'm bad for being AWOL for such long stretches but life intrudes, ya know? Have been home from Wisconsin for about 10 days and will leave for Baltimore Friday to spend a week with son and family in their new home. The pictures look gorgeous but sure wouldn't want the gorgeous mortgage that goes with it. So I will be AWOL again for awhile.
Have started work on the fund raiser I complain about every fall. We're a small non profit with an even smaller board of directors---sure would like it if someone else volunteered to be the designated work horse on some of this stuff. Asked to be replaced as secretary last November and still doing it. Managed to do what I always do thru a mast and delayed recon so everyone thinks I'm bulletproof. Passs the cheese please.
Have only read back a page or so---I know I'm not including newbies and not addressing important stuff that happened while I was gone but you know I think of all of you often and wish everyone a sunny day and happy thoughts.

Good afternoon!!
Liz saw the weather map and figured you were in the severe storm thing. They say if we are going to get any rain, it will be out of this system. I'm praying.
Guys, honest, some of us are desperate for rain and can't seem to get but a few drops. Yesterday saw that greater Atlanta metro only has an estimated 120 day supply of water. I know that Amy, Jas, Iris, myself are all needing rain.
Amy, with all your animals, how is the water situation for you guys?? Has Tucker had his doctors appointment yet? If so, I missed it and was wondering abut the cast.
Cheri- I post a dab here and a dab there and I get further and further behind on other stuff. I gotta do some laundry and have some clean underware!!!!!
Shokk - I would never want my Mom to watch Judge Judy - she is hard enough to handle - LOL!!!
Ok, off to laundry room.

Afternoon circle. I have the strangest twitch in my arm today. It is almost like when you get a strange twitch in you eye for no reason. It is kind of driving me crazy.
Anyway just stopped by to say hi. I am starving and must nourish thee. Hope you all are having a great day. Sounds like the circle is a little more light-hearted today.

OH Everyone! I have such mixed emotions. I just read that sedgymom passed yesterday. Sometimes this whole bc thing just takes over my feelings like cancer itself.
Wishing you all a wonderful evening
Charlene: Hmmmuph! I got competition with the dancing girl.
