So great to see Lini and Mena posting. Lini, I love that song. Mena get better soon. You have both ben missed.

Pauline, once I wrecked my car, trying to kill a spider crawling across the dashboard. It was raining, I jumped the curb and smashed in lightpost and paperbox. I was freaked out then, now I really hate spiders.

WEll Im enjoying the races and having a wonderful day.

Puppy: Makes a little more sense now. Not as scary as you think! While your waiting for the thyroid scan, they are giving your heart a chance to heal. You are not fighting a losing battle. You need to chill out a little and just try and enjoy life. Worry and stress wont do anything but hurt you.

So take a deep breath, I think you need to come to the spa wigwam. Nice relaxing music, apple cinnamon insense burning, lots of healing light, and a great massage. Have some great herbal tea with a nip of Irish Whiskey.

Ok ladies, back to the races.

Puppy, I agree with Nicki. You need to try to de-stress a bit and enjoy the spa wigwam. The Prinvil/Zestril is used to improve the hearts pumping capability and the Lasix is a diuretic to help eliminate the excess fluid in your body. You are not fighting an endless battle hon. This just takes time and you will get through it.

Tracey, sounds like fun! Enjoy yourself.

Sher, glad the son is home. I'm sure he's happy to be there.

Christine, OH NO! can't say I blame you for hating spiders now.

Robin, of course you're going to beat this thing. You're going to gain your strength and feel better and kick the dickhead's butt out the door. Ahh I can see it now! What a wonderful day that will be for you. Hugs hon.

    Mena, how you feeling?

Okay, off to go for my walk around the camp. Have a great afternoon everyone.

    Hugs and Prayers

Mena, so good to see you posting again. I've been in the medic wagon too but must have missed you. Have had some sort of stomach virus for a few days now so will catch up on my reading. Liz, sorry to hear about your friend - that was pretty selfish of her husband.

I'll catch up with everyone else later but you are all in my thoughts.

Puppy, please don't think it's a losing battle. We are given many trials to overcome but they only serve to make us stronger. You my dear are going to be one very strong lady. The Lord won't give us anything we can't handle. Sometimes we have to just sit back relax and let others take care of us. We are here for you and every sister on this board. It's been a Godsend for me as I know it has for many others.

Hope everyone is doing well tonight. It's been raining here all day. Hubby took me out to see Man of the Year with Robin Williams, it was a great movie.

Good Morning everyone. For once, on my day off, I woke up late! Had this silly dream about a brand new yellow Volkswagon that my husband gave to me as a present. Went into work, came out a couldnt find the car! My exntire deam was searching for a stupid car I dont even own!! Needless to say even though I slept late, I felt more tired when I did wake up. Glad it was a dream lol.

Its cold but sunny. Warm enough though to sit outside by the fire if your dressed warm. Breathing in the fresh air feels so nice. Its crisp. No winds today at this end of the circle either. So Im hoping the aroma of fresh coffee brewing and bacon cooking starts to penetrate the camp. Got some Canadian bacon too. Heard that it much better for you if your watching your cholesterol. For breakfast, well its a toss up. Flapjacks or eggs. I myself am gonna have an egg white omelet with swiss cheese. Some bacon (both kinds) and we have grapefruit halves. Nothing like a big breakfast before game day - football that is.

Distorted Humor and I had so much fun yesterday. Just love the Breeders Cup, and running it in Kentucky was so great. And Distorted Humor was being such a goof off. Hanging his tongue out the side of his mouth, smiling like a donkey showing his teeth. And prancing. He did lots of prancing. Whenever he saw a new mare I had to yell "down boy."

Margaret: Im so glad you came out from the middle of the circle for a bit. Seems there are lots of different virus going around. Stomach virus to me is one of the worst. I hate it.

Day 2 here for me since my husband brought home anothr cold. So far so good. Im drinking lots Vitamnin C stuff and my hands are raw from washing them so much. But I mean really, is there a way to not get something when you live with the person who is sick?

Debbiefive: Glad you went to the spa wigwam last night. You needed it. Ya know sometimes we find it hard to get out of the panic mode. We are here for ya gal. Hoping this morning when you wake up and wipe the sleep from your eyes, your feeling emotional and physically stronger. If I get up the energy today, I might just go get a manicure and pedicure myself.

Shirley: Im so glad your wandering son is home. Hope you all are enjoying the time together.

Robin: Guess there is no countdown on chemo when ya have a reocurrance or mets. Im so glad you are doing well on the chemo and that it kicking butt.

Liz: Walking the perimeter of the circle? Ah, you must be feeling better then. Well thank goodness. There are many in the middle of the circle who need our help. Great minds think alike/

Shel: Im so glad your back. Sounds like your very well rested although I must admit I am jealous of the tan! This is a big week for you. We will all go with you to the cancer center for your treatment plan. Just let us know what day we should saddle up. And sign the divorce papers? Wow, things must go faster in Canada than the USA. Here we wouldnt even have a court date yet. Its a big week emotionally, but your one strong lady. Kick and bite them as you move along!!

Susan: Oh my goodness, so good to see you. How are you? I miss talking to ya on the chat.

Mena: Hoping your feeling better and better each day now. Sort of hard to fight a big infection while your getting chemo. But look at how much you are loved. We all missed you so very much.

Cheryl: Glad you got to get out and see a movie. Sounds like you had a nice time! I cant remember the last movie we went to go see. We always wait for them to come on DVD. 33 years ago when I first met my husband we used to go to the movies once a week. It was a set date. Movie and Lou Malnati's pizza.

Sheri so good to see you. I was thinking we could really use your help in the medic tent. So many moms who have children to take care of. Since your a teacher, you know first hands how kids react to different things. Child Psych in college was over 20 years ago. I dont think I remember too much lol.

Oh I cant see that I am rambling. Need to go for a bit. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. Da Bears against Miami! Right now we are 7 and 0. The 85 Bears lost one game and it was to Miami. Hope this isnt a jinx.

    See ya all later.

    nicki (et al)lol!

it is an uncontested divorce, he came back to me with nothing, he leaves with nothing, so no court needed and the document is drawn up by one lawyer......reviewed by another and then signed by each party, and filed. he was already paying child support d/t a previous separation and i make more money than him so spousal support is out1

the house is mine......was purchased by me after last separation and is payed off d/t good old BC......so i'm actually financially better off without the ass!!!!!

ok, need to go for groceries, visit the cute "too young" neighbour, put my patio furniture in the shed, and see if i remember how to drive my jeep lol!

i'm so glad to be back with my "family" here!

    i'll check in later1

    Hi girls,

I have a big pot of homemade chicken and noodles cooking on the campfire. It will be ready in just a bit.

Margaret, Yes it was very selfish of my friends husband. I am so mad at him. I know she'll have a hard time getting the picture of finding him out of her head.

Cheryl, sorry I don't know the website. Hopefully someone else does or you'll find it.

Shel, Welcome Back! I too am jealous. Sounds like you had a great time. We'll all be with you this week.

Puppy, glad you're relaxing. Hang in there.

Sher, Have fun while you're gone.

Robin, I'm proud of you. You're kicking cancers butt and will soon be kicking someone else's out the door!

    Susan, Good to see you.

Mena, big hugs. How are you feeling?

Cheryl, I can't tell you when the last time I went to a movie.

    Sherri, Glad you're back.

Jas, How the heck are you?

Nicki, Yes, I'm good now. DH woke up with fever and diarrhea so I put him in another room and shut the door. He is a mega baby when he's sick.

    Hugs and Prayers to all

Oh geez you want a recap Shel????

First- if your onc says anything to you about getting a tan (mine always yells at me about that) Tell him you aren't tan- you are just stocking up on vitamin D!

OK here goes- I will give it my best shot!

Nicki had to pull Distorted Humor out of the corrall and leave his adoring fillies for a little prancing in Kentucky. Even though he is too old to win the Breeder's Cup, since he has sired so many colts in our pasture he got a special "breeder" award. Nicki has the statue in her wagon.

Mena decided to protest the Pink by going into bunker-mode. Too bad she got sick during it, bad respiratory infection but she is back! And Pink is OVER thank the good lord.

Pauline was auditioning for a new reality show where you have to not only eat bugs but catch them as well and wound up on the injured list! But she is doing ok now!!!

Cheryl not only managed to have a new grandbaby but also fit in a BCO road trip to meet Pepper and Lillia. AND started redecorating her house...!

Vera and Vickie had great halloween costumes. Susan made me a testtube costume but I was too big in the hips to fit in it!

Liz has kept us VERY WELL fed and so has MB- that is when she isn't tricking out her hearse that she bought...REALLY!

Peggy provided us with some awesome pumpkin photos.

Lisa is doing her avastin and Robin is plugging along with hers too. Kristin is being hit a bit hard by her tax but is being strong!

karen has come to the circle and is a delight to have here.

Amy got a new puppy and Mazer and Tazer are happy about the new addition to the family.

Shirley has become an instructor at Curves...sort of.

Jeannie's husband is buying her a new TV so she can watch fun shows instead of what he likes and then sleeps through...

Lynne has been taking us on virtual vacations of beautiful canada and has a future olympian in her family!!! We are ALL going to the next winter Olympics!

Deb has started to heal from her rad burns only to discover she has pink eye... but in true Deb style she licked it and provided us carnivores with YUMMY meat to eat!

Susan is in test/scan/result waiting mode- also known as hell- so we have her close to the inner circle until everything is settled for her.

Kathy got a really bad infection that was cellulitis and turned septic so we have her on iv antibiotics in the med tent.

We THOUGHT the dental tent would be a lot more crowded, but Jeannette willed away her root canal and Nicki shot her dentist. We have an ad in the paper for a new dentist.

Shirley, Vickie , Cheryl and Vera have been making chemo caps like wildfire- at this rate every chemo head will have a cute hat!

Nicki got to celebrate her TMs going down! And she is the sunshine that opens this circle every morning for us all.

Naniam proved her docs wrong and insisted on getting further tests and her pain is from her gall bladder and it needs to come out. We are happy to know that she will be finding relief soon!!!

Tracey's hubby got a back injury so she has been taking care of him. It got really cold in her neck of the woods which is a good thing because if it was too warm we would have to call her Water in Thong.

We really missed Lini but she came back and even gave us a song!

Deese is on her way to the next step of her operation!!

I am missing folks but that is the gist of it!

I had my water contaminated from e-coli and now drinks only bottled water and other than that-- we are still strong and tight and solid here in the circle!

    geesh......thanks G!

    my best to all!

my onc won't yell about my "beer bottle' brown tan, but my PS will flip right out lol!.......and i could care less at this point haha!

i caught a bitch of a cold in mexico so i'm going to lie down (with my "too young hottie" neighbour) and a movie......things are looking up.......i'll let ya know what the onc says as soon as i know.

    thanks for the recap!

Shel...welcome back and what's this about...lying down witht he too young hottie neighbor!!! Lucky girl you are...no young hottie neighbors where I am...so happy your back.
So good to have you back Mena...said many prayers your way.
Lini...where did you go?...loved your posts but missing you still.
Hello Deb...glad you beat the pink eye...hope all is going smoothly now.
NS...staying away from the water I see...good for you and I think I'd move too and soon!
Sending prayers for Deese for an excellent outcome.
If anyone needs cool chemo caps just PM me your address and your favorite color and I'll send one your way...my treat.
Nicki...you shot your dentist! I've thought of doing the same with my ex...can I borrow your gun?
Amy...how is the new puppy...pictures yet?
Pauline...I too am terrified of spiders but I spray them with Windex...and not on a stool...feel better soon.
Susan...praying for the very best results for you.
Speaking of my physically, emotionally, mentally abusive ex...he is running for judge in the small town we lived in!!! I so wanted to make signs and put next to his signs that say "Abusive husbands...elect me...I'll lend you some pointer to keep you out of jail. He'll never get the position...everyone knows what he is and for him to have that kind of power would be a huge mistake.
Anyone want to come with me to my bloodwork (for my hormone levels) and then to my genetic counseling appointment tomorrow? I am so dreading it all and I don't know why. I know that knowledge is power and I am not sure if they are even going to do the bloodwork as they want to go over my family history, pathology reports etc. before they decide. I have an 8am appointment for my bloodwork at the oncologists office and a 9am appointment with the genetic counselors that will take about an hour and a half. I will then have to drive an hour and 15 minutes to work so I'll be late again...starting to feel really guilty about missing so much work. I am sure everyone is ok with it but me it's just so hard. Having a tough time keeping up with everything...work, appointments, cooking, cleaning, school things with Nathan, playing with Nathan...I am exhausted all the time and can't sleep! AAAUUUGGHHHH.
Question for our nurses...every time I go for blood work they have a terrible time finding a vein...then it will collapse or by blood will clot before they get enough and they have to start all over...what can I do!!! I have taken aspirin this weekend...two Saturday and two today in the hopes that it will thin my blood a bit...will that help? Sick of getting stuck so many times every time I go. It's also really cold in the office when I go in as they must turn the heat off at night and I'm there first thing before it warms up...could this be part of the problem?
Missing many of you...so sorry...you are all in my heart each and every day...have just been to tired to post and too tired to take notes.
    Love and sweet dreams ladies.
    Vickie
