Good Morning, Good Morning!  5 more days to Turkey Day.  Can you believe ThanksGiving and Christmas are upon us already.  Ya know every year I dread the thought of the Holidays coming, but then when they are here - I enjoy them so much.  I have one thing to do today.  Clean out my closet.  Those Summer clothes are looking pretty weird now.

SloneDeb:  I took am sad to hear about CheriBoop!  She has always been on the boards since I first came.  Another Angel got her wings.

CY:  So glad you checked in.  Im so glad you have the next week off.  Hoping you can put your feet up and just relax, but Im betting Im wrong.  You will be fluttering around as usual.  The paperwork for disability sounds confusing.  Why do they make everything so hard?

Puppy:  Yes the loss of Cheri Boop is just too sad.

Naniam:  How are you and your DD doing.  You all must be pretty nervous this week-end.  I think your grand daughter arrives the day after my DH Birthdya.  Scorpio is a good horoscope - although they can get stubborn at times.  Hoping your feeling better too.  Did you get your results of the MRI yet?  I always laugh when I see Shokk call you soup and sandwich brenda.  Ha I always know who she means.

DebC:  You must tell us how the Conferance is going in Anchorage.

Bren:  Hope you enjoyed your time with Mr. Tim last night.  DH played at a pub, and for the second week in a row, he came home and talked my head off until 6am.  Considering I got up at 4 to come to the computer, you can imagine I have a head ache right now.  And it was all about stuff he did in years past.  I have heard those stories over and over I can repeat each word while he is talking!  I enjoy my early morning computer time - and talkative husband makes Nicki grumpy.

Margo:  Waving hello to you.  Im with you.  It was good to hear from CY.  Wishing you some sunshine this morning and Im sure I will talk to ya later - somewhere!

Hoping everyone has a wonderful morning.  Im going back to bed and taking a nap!  Im getting used to doing that in the mornings now.  Dont know yet if I will take Mister for a walk today.  It seems pretty cold out right now.  On the otherhand - I do need the exercise.

    See ya later

So glad to hear from you CY.  I'm also glad you are taking some time off.  Please don't over due.  I agree, some of the paper work is almost more trouble than just going to work!  Take care of yourself.

Hi to the rest of you, good morning Nicki.  I, too, can't believe Thanksgiving is almost here.  Winter is sneaking up on us after quite a lingering summer.

Sheri:  Its unbelievable that Christmas is right around the corner.  Im justhoping the winter will be kind and that we dont get alot of snow.  You must go check out my People's Court story.  Yes I was on Judge Wapner's people court in 1986 and I wrote the story this morning.

Not sure I will have time to check in tomorrow morning - going back to see the oncologist for follow up after biopsy and to get my breast MRI report.  Yes, like all of you, you KNOW everything is going to be alright; just waiting to hear that.

Tammy is scheduled to have her C-section this Wednesday.  Had quite a scare on Friday.  She had another ultrasound and the doctor there told her that the cerebral artery had decreased blood flow to the brain.  It had been at 15 and was now 7 1/2.  Also told her that the amniotic fluid was half what it was the previous week and that would indicate that the kidneys might not be functioning as well.  He wanted the C-section done tomorow.

She had a visit with her own OB doctor Friday afternoon.  He felt that that was "the most over read report he had seen in his 26 years of practice" and because of what and how the other doctor had written the report, if he didn't do the surgery and something happened, he was left wide open for a lawsuit but he didnt' agree with the guy.  Sooooo, her OB doctor sent her to UVA for ANOTHER ultrasound.  They tell her that the baby is fine; there is nothing wrong and that the baby's weight is over 6 lbs.   Remember, we were being told she didn't even weight 5 lbs!!.

Seems that the doctor reading the ultrasounds - well, he lost his hospital privileges.  Is there any wonder?  I can only imagine the type of judgement calls he made on hospital patients - and how he left the hospital open for lawsuits.  My comment was that this guy needed to go back to medical school.

Anyway, still doing C-section 2 weeks early but it now appears all the worry and concern over the baby were  unfounded.

Tomorrow is going to be a long day so I need to get ready to turn in for the night.

Hope everyone has a restful night and a great Monday.    Brenda

A quick pop in to say hello.  My morning shower is waiting for me.  Wish I didnt have to go to work.

CY:  You sound pretty darn good.  It was a great football game.  Both teams played really hard.  All the Bears need is a good quarterback and a good running back = we have neither.  So what are your plans for Thanksgiving?

Odalys:  Good to see you pop in and say hello.  As always I miss you now that you are so busy with your job.

Margo and BMD:  Im waving at you and hoping you have a great day.

Brenda:  Ok, enough is enough.  Your poor daughter must feel frantic.  I say pffffffft on that radiologist.  But am I understanding right.  You will be a grandmother today of a beautiful baby girl?  You must come back and let us know.  Good luck with your doctors appointment.  Hoping the MRI results are good so you can relax a little.  How is your mom doing?  Havent heard about that part of your life for a while.

I have to go take my shower and get ready for work.

Hoping everyone takes time to enjoy the Holiday festivities this week.  Its a time to enjoy and be thankful for what we have and where we are right now.  Despite all of our struggles, we are here.  We are talking to each other.  We have made friendships.  Im thankful for so many things.

    Good morning friends,

Hope you all have a good Monday. I haven't read back yet and haven't posted regularly but know that you are all in my hearts and prayers each and everyday. I got something in an email I thought would make you chuckle....laughter is the best medicine. Enjoy!!!

    Cookies to be Thankful for

As we all get ready for the holiday, here's a great recipe for that last minute dessert you might need.

    1 cup of water
    1 tsp baking soda

    1 cup of sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1 cup of brown sugar
    lemon juice
    4 large eggs
    1 cup nuts
    2 cups of dried fruit
    1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequilla

Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.

Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.

Add one teaspoon of sugar...Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the

Cuervo is still OK, try another cup ... just in case.

Turn off the mixer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit, Pick the frigging fruit off floor..

Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it lloose with a drewscriver. Sample the Cuervo to check for consisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Who giveshz a sheet.

Check the Jose Cuervo. Now shift the ! lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.

    Greash the oven.

Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl out, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the dishwasher.

    Hugs to all

    Hi Gals,

I had a wonderful lunch with Naniam today.  I met her in Winston-Salem before her appt. with the oncologist.  We got caught up on kids, grandkids, and hubbies.  Let me tell you, she told me she was pleasantly plump, salt and pepper hair, mostly salt, etc.  Well, helllooo ... she was a tiny little thing and absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

After lunch I went with her to her appt and .... I'll let her share the results of her MRI with you.

I loved meeting her.  She's a beautiful sister on the inside and out.  What a pleasure it was to visit with a Circle sister today, and be with her at her onco appt.  We also talked about our doctors and how different the cancer center is at a large treatment center compared to my little regional hospital.

We also shared a few tears over our recent struggles and hugged each other tight when it was time to say good-bye.

Hopefully, she'll be along soon to share her test results with you.

    Love,

    Brenda in VA aka Bren

Good evening Circle. Hope all of you are well. With Thanksgiving this week come reflections. I've had a good long look at myself and since the smoke has cleared it's so much easier to see. I've learned that we are much better off if we listen to that inner voice that tells us something isn't quite right. We sometimes put people on a pedestal and believe they would never do wrong and when they topple off it is a long, hard fall. I have made many bad judgements based on the feelings of others and that was wrong. I've also made bad judgement calls on my own, and for that I am ashamed of myself.

This Circle was once a strong, healthy and supportive group of people. Always open to Anyone that needed to be enveloped in the kindness that shone so brightly. The Circle reached out its arms for all that were lost, needy & so frightened. The amount of sincere love was unbelievable and nothing could stop it. The Circle fought its enemies and won. Some folks seem to be under the impression that the Circle is no more. They are wrong. It's confused by events that occurred and it's gotten off the beaten path but it will find it's way again. But it needs YOUR help. Think back, wasn't the Circle there when you needed it? Remember the first time you came here? This Wagon Circle can be every bit as strong as before or maybe even stronger with the difficult lessons learned. There are so many good people that are sincere and genuine in their caring for one another that it should outweigh any negative force there could be.

Gather round the campfire and tell your story and listen to others tell theirs, you'll find they're not so very different. Forgive and forget the past hurts and injustices and once again stand Proud to be in the Circle. I know I would be. Don't let this very important part of your life slip away because you will regret it. I know.

Wishing you a peaceful & restful nights sleep.

    Good Evening my Sisters,

Jackie, in the beginning the circle brought lots of sisters to the center when they were facing difficult days.  It was started at a time when so many were learning their journey with breast cancer had not ended and their road was going to be more difficult. Often sisters were brought to the center that just needed some warmth and hugs from the winter winds that blow through our lives.  Everyone was welcome.  A winter wind has blow through here bringing lots of anger, pain, many tears and regrets.  Lets hope a warm wind with compassion, understanding, forgivness and just caring for each other returns.

Bren, thank you for you very kind words. A tiny little thing????  That is not what the doctor and the scales tell me but thank you.

I just want everyone to know that Bren knew I was kind of anxious about today.  Some much stress and heartache lately - Mom's illnesses and Tammy's pregnancy problems, and just life.   She kindly offered her time to go with me and make sure I had someone there, just in case.  She is a warm person.  She had a Pink Bow too to let me know who she was but I spotted her before I did the bow.  She is a lovely, kind, warm, lady.   I hope we get to meet again sometime. Bren, you made my day!!!

Margo, you ask about Mom.  Things have settled down some and her panic attacks are under better control.  Not sure what is going on but she seems more unsteady on her feet and her balance is not as good as when she first came home.  I don't know if it is because she isn't doing those exercises now but she is walking.  Her drivers license had to be renewed - birthday is tomorrow, well today now.  She will turn 87.  They didn't have her take a road test!!!!!!!!!!!!!   She got her license.  I was floored.

I got good report on my biopsy and MRI.  My biopsy as we know was OK.  I ask "what" was it and was told the report said "normal breast tissue".  Huh? What did they see and get so upset about on ultra sound they were calling "spiculated" and I needed a biopsy and gave me a brads rating that scared me to death.  Can't explain it but OK it was and that is what I will gladly take.

MRI showed no cancer but a cyst in the upper outer quadrant.  Ok, no problem.  Oncologist said "being the worrier that I am, I want to do another mammogram in six months".  Don't get his concern but as I told him "fine, I'll let you worry and I won't".   Now that I am two years out, I guess we go back to a yearly mammogram but with this he wants one at six months.  It showed no cancer, just a cyst, so that put me in the happy mode too.

I should be a Nana again by the time you read this.  Tammy called me around 11:20 this evening and her water broke.  They were on their way to the hospital for the C-section.  I had talked to her twice today; last time I was really concerned about her as she said her back was really hurting.  I ask her if she was sure she wasn't in labor as it was all in my back with her brother.  She said no she had just been doing some cleaning.  She also talked about how big she seemed to have gotten.  I wasn't surprised that we got the call.   Saying lots of prayers that all is well.  I believe they will since we got someone reading ultra sounds that knew what the heck they were doing.

Cy, Sloandeb, hope you gals are had a good day.

Brenda I am so glad the MRI was good!

You should be getting your mammos every six months anyway- so that is a good thing too.

Well- maybe by the time you read this you will be a grandma again.

I pray all goes well with the baby and Tammy is ok!

Good Morning!  This is another quick fly by.  Work is consuming all of my computer time and today is DH brithday so I need to go wrap his presents before he wakes up.

Livestrong:  That was a nice post.  Im still here and waiting to help those who are in need.  That was my promise to myself when I first found this site.  I wanted to help people like they helped me when I was first diagnosed or going through difficult times.

Brenda:  I cant believe they gave your mom her drivers license!  I think at 87 a driven test should be mandatory.  Too many medical issues including vision, response time, and decision making!  Geesh.  Im glad she is doing better though.  Cant wait to hear about you being a new grandma.

OK - I cant address everyone as I am plum outta time.  Have a wonderful day.  Im standing in the circle holding hands with anyone who wants to hold mine.  Gotta give some strength to our poor sisters who are going through hard times.

    Good morning!!!

Thank you everyone.  Warm words of caring and encouragement mean so much to each of us.

Vickie,  hopefully the warm wind will start as a gentle breeze today and I am so very thankful for each person that I have met here.  Their names are written on my heart and their names are ones that I can't erase from my mind.

ABIGAIL CATHERINE ARRIVED THIS MORNING AT 2:35 AM (MY MOTHER'S BIRTHDAY TODAY TOO) SHE WEIGHED IN AT  5 LBS. 13 OZS.  19 1/2" LONG.   SHE IS DOING WONDERFULLY - EVERYTHING IS GOOD.   HER MOM IS DOING WELL TOO.

Abby's nana is doing fine; just hate being 5 hours away. I'm tired as I tried to say up and never got into a deep sleep for worrying about not hearing the phone.

Sending warm wishes that everyone will have a great day.

    Big hugs,  Brenda
