Good morning. I'm so glad Friday is here. Christmas decorations haven't been touched - think that tree will be here on the 6th of Jan. for sure.
Work comes early as trying to help hubby since his back has been so bad lately.
Hope we have some warmer weather - enjoy the day. Brenda

I'm taking a crochet class starting in February. Since I'm working I don't have much time. But then I get to work and all the appointments cancel so then i do have time. But I don't know from one day to the next whether I still will have a job or not.
I'm the same Brenda. I just haven't had time to take down the Christmas decorations yet.
Puppy for me, three days was the really hard part. After that it got easier but I gained 15 pounds pretty quickly. My pal Cheri says that she still craves cigarettes. Of course her husband and daughter are smokers. What about Ed? Does he smoke?
Hi Jaz, It's supposed to be 65 degrees here this weekend. I bet you reach 70. I can't wait. It has been wicked cold and windy.
NNN, being a chemo nurse should be very interesting. I know where I got my treatments it was the most popular place to work for nurses.
Charlene, that picture??? Is that what your new boobies are gonna look like???? WOW
hugs

Susan ... hahahahahah in my dreams!
Puppy ... hope you're doing well with the not smoking! Staying away from the computer is probably a good idea. I know I smoke alot when I'm online for some reason!
Jasmine ... that's very nice of you and the chatroom girls to be sending CTG an afghan. Can you PM me her address? I'd like to send her a card.
Neesie ... thinking of you about to become a Grandma to another sweet baby tomorrow!!! Wishing everyone well.

Thank All of You, so much!
Angel, is that not amazing how while on the computer, the faster ya smoke! How are You feeling?
Hope everyone is feeling well, got to get off, really wanting a cig!

Puppy ... yes, I don't know why it is but it's true that the computer makes one smoke so much! You're doing great, keep it up! I'm doing okay, still have pain but the drugs are great in helping me deal with it.

Candie, you just have to go to Pink, we have been chatting for a long time. We need to meet in person.
Autumn, my niece had to leave school early yesterday, started crying and unable to stop. Nurse called her mother to come and get her. She told her dog, Spot goodbye when she went to school yesterday, she thought he would be dead when she got home. Spot was jumping and running all over, that was one happy little girl. The cat is in the shed; ground is frozen and unable to bury it yet. I called the vet and vented a bit.
Odaly, I will be in Ft Lauderdale the last of February. Hopefully we will be able to meet, aren't you close to there?
Puppy, you can beat it. Tell yourself nothing or nobody is going to have control over me.
Angel, glad you are feeling better. I am still on medical leave. I had my last surgery on my reconstruction the 14th of December. I have been taking it easy myself, pretty sore.
WildJan, You are posting some beautiful pictures.
Nicki, Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I am sick of these frigid temps. I know nothing about football, but since I live in Indy I am glad the Colts are doing well. When I went to New Orleans, I met a lady who was Peyton's guidance counselor when he was in High School. She said he is genuine, a very nice person.
Google Cody Slate sometime, that is my grandson, he is on scholarship at Marshall. #2 tight end in the nation. NFL is already courting him. I have been to only one of his games and he makes many touchdown's but I was talking about it when I got home and said he got a catchdown, they said, oh well, you were close. Lol
See how well I know Football.
I don't do any Christmas decorating; only me here and I always did dread the teardown and cleanup later.0 -
Just a quick flyby in case the power goes out again. The power went out at work and they sent us home. I wasn't home 30 minutes when the power went out again and was out for about 5 hours. Figured I'd get some laundry done, no such luck - it came on as I was beginning to freeze and 5 minutes before hubby walked in the door. Weather has been really bad here, not so much the rain, although I'm sure there are areas that have flooded, but the wind.
Susan, I figured with no power that would be the perfect time for me to dig out the knifty knitter and learn to knit with no distraction. Problem is I couldn't find it - found all the yarn Vickie sent me but have no idea where I placed the knitter so I didn't learn today.
Neesie, see above - I had all good intentions. Good luck with the baby.
Doris, how exciting about your grandson.

Neesie can't wait to hear all about the new grandchild tomorrow. You have to bring pictures!!!!

I want to thank all of those who are my friends here for your support and friendship over the last terrible 9 months of my life since I was first dx'd with BC. I honestly don't know where I'd be had I not found you. I'm sorry you have to be here, but thank you for being here. I hope you'll all enjoy this video:

Doris IN ... thank you. It wasn't that long ago that you had your surgery and than you had Christmas to contend with. It doesn't surprise me that you're still pretty sore. It's good that you're taking it easy. You must be so proud of Cody!
Margo ... Thinking of you and hoping you're staying safe from the terrible weather you are having.
Neesie ... I hope you feel better. Today is a big day for you!
That's sad about Dorothy Hamil.

Happy Saturday campers!
Well, the clouds have moved in but at least its not 'fanny freezing' cold anymore. I'll take this to below freezing any day.
Woke up with bleeding sinuses this morning. I know...ewww. Too much information? This always happens in winter when my heater runs practically non-stop. The air gets so dry in my house that my sinuses go on the fritz.
The good news is that my house can now serve as temporary archival storage for any museums that care to rent space for a month or two.
I went to the local walmart last night and they finally seem back to normal. No crowds with desperate looks on their faces.
Well, gotta run. Hope everyone has a fantabulous day.

Good Morning Everyone: Went back to bed before I could even bring some sunshine your way. No pictures today - wanna see more of MB the rest of the week-end.
Its cloudy and warm in the Chicago area. Warm compared to the freezing weather we had earlier this week. I was watching on the news what is going on in California and its looks awful. It either snow or flooding. Lots without electricity. Hoping all of our friends living in that are safe and warm.
Candie: Looks like you were the sunshine sister in the circle this morning. That sleighride drink does sound good doesnt it. I cant take credit for it though, it was Rita who told me about it.
PurpleMB: Oops you were another sunshine sister. I was up early and went back to bed way before the sun ever came up. Now I need another whole pot of coffee!
Susan: I love to crochet. Learned as a teenager. Its a great stress reliever for me.
Just want to tell you all that the chemo certification is gonna be great a great thing for me. I will still be working at the skilled nursing facility, but we have been getting so many cancer patients for rehab who are still getting chemo. Nurses at rehabs are used to only taking care of the older population. So I wont actually be giving chemo. I will be evaluating patients coming to the facililty and putting together a good plan of care for them. Then I will be educating the nurses who are giving hands on care about what chemo the person is getting, what side effects to look for, the emotional aspect, and all the other stuff that goes along with this very hard cancer journey. In addition to still going out to the hospitals to evaluate people, if someone comes to the facility because of cancer - I will visit them there during the day to assess how they are doing and give them the moral support they will need. For me its gonna be the best of 2 worlds. I knew sooner or later, if I waited long enough my job would have purpose again. Its such a good feeling. This part is exciting too. Our therapy department is starting a lymph edema clinic. For those with breast cancer and other conditions that cause lymph edema. Im so glad to be working for a company that is staying ahead of what is going on in the health care community.
Doris: My goodness, what an awful story about your neice. Even though it turned out good in the end. Its always so hard to lose a pet. Very sad, but with a good ending. I really like Peyton. I do believe he has a good heart. Being a nurse for 37 years I have learned to have that 6th sense about people.
I believe our pets have the same thing. My dog Mister is such a great dog and he loves everyone. So if he growls at someone I know to back off and avoid that person.
Margo: My goodness, I knew something was wrong. Like I said earlier, they showed what is happening in San Francisco on the news. It looks awful. Hoping you electricity is back on and stays on. Seems to me like we have had some really bad weather across the whole USA in a short amount of time. Im anxiously waiting for Spring to arrive.
Neese: Im sending good, healthy vibes your way. I am so hoping your feeling better. Cant wait to hear the stories about your new grandchild.
OMG! I just realized today is the beginning of the Playoffs. The Bears are out of it so Im wishing for?
...Seattle to beat redskins
...Jaguars to beat Pittsburg
Well DH husband just woke up and he is starting breakfast. Need to go, but hoping you all have a wonderful day.

Hello friends! I'm back to my crazy/hectic schedule at work so please forgive me if I don't remember, mention, or follow all the happenings. I'm sending hugs to all.
This new year has started with a bang...first the two dogs go missing and now we are having some type of sewer emergency....yuck! DH has been trying to clear it but no luck yet. We have a plumber coming in a few minutes and if that does not work, the county will be checking the main sewer line...YUCK! I can’t believe the county charges $175 just to check the main line.
Yesterday, I worked until 8:30 pm in order to complete a last minute project tied into my evaluation. It seems the hospital VP's are getting ready to clean house for the new year and we were asked to give a detail account of all our accomplishments for the past fiscal year along with a self evaluation, goals for 2008, and a performance improvement plan for our areas. OMG, I thought I would never finish it. But, I did and was able to email it to my boss at 8:30 last night. I sure have accomplished a lot in 10 months. I didn’t get home till 9:30. Sat down and fell asleep on the couch. I'm exhausted today. Thank God it’s Saturday.
It’s a rainy day here today with temps in the high 60’s. Not too bad considering the cold blast we’ve had this week.
Okay – going back to read. bbl0 -
Does the main line belong to the county? I would think if they discover a problem on their side, they shouldn't charge anyone.

Wild/Jan ... Absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks! At the time I took the reflections pic, the water was looking very shiney silver colored.
MARGO>wow you had some high winds there. It was very windy here yesterday but it brought us some warmer weather. Pretty drastic change from the 18 degree mornings to 54 degrees as the sun rose! James called last night to tell us he made it to San Diego okay via the airplane! No delays.
0 -
Yes, the main line belongs to the county. They won't charge us if the problem is caused by the main line but there is no telling where the problem is. I thought they could at least troble shoot the main line considering we pay monthly payments to the county...but they don't for free. So, we have to pay a plubmer to tell us it's the county's problem or the county to tell us is not their problem. Either way, we have to pay.

Well, that's a bunch of crap. <sorry I couldn't resist a pun >
