Good Morning Everyone: This is a quick pop in. Hoping I can get home early from work and catch up with you all.
Shrink: You will bein my prayers for Wednesday. I just know those scans are gonna come back B9.
Madison: I fell asleep watching the game. It was pretty exciting from what I saw. DH said why are you so excited about LSU - and of course I told him all about you. Seems like I have been following them from the beginning of the Season. I was sitting here wondering who won as I didnt see the end. Congratulations. Bet there is lots of celebrating going on right now.

Hey Shrink, you'll do fine, OK? I have a mammo on Wednesday and so I have started feeling the lumpy scar on my breast. And ya know what - it feels even lumpier than last year. Of course it does. I keep thinking I am less nervous about BC until it is time for the next test. sheesh

Just a quick fly by to wish everyone a good night. I hope the weather is behaving in your town.
Mom was admitted to the hospital today again. Her abdomen is so distended and her legs are very swollen. They will be draining some of the fluid and maybe adjusting her meds. It's so difficult to see her going through all this. She has no quality of life left. Bless her heart she is soooo tired and keeps saying she doesn't want to live like that any more. This is not easy for her and for our family. We are all torn between wanting her to hang on and letting go. I pray to God for strength and courage for mom and our family.
Good night friends, sleep well.
Love and hugs,

Hi everyone. Sounds like some prayers are needed in the Circle tonight. I am sending them up right now.
I am feeling much better but still sore and swollen. Right now all I can think about is Pinkstock. I am so excited to be heading back to my hometown which is only a few hours from MB's place.
Well I am always reading here even if I don' t get a long post in. I love you all.

Good morning...will be a rainy and windy here on hump day in NJ
Susan,good luck with mammo today
Odalys,so sorry to hear your Mom is in hospital again. Prayers coming your way
Brenda/BMD,glad to see you
Nicki, going to dreamers to read now
I went to knee Dr yesterday. It has been hurting just as bad as before the surgery I had in Sept. He gave me two shots--cortisone and novacaine (ouch). He also gave me script for lidocaine patches to try to relieve it. He doesn't think I tore in again...says I have lots of arthritis in there. I am looking a a knee replacement but he says I am too young. Not good to do it yet. So happy that someone thinks I am young at 55...lol.
Today I am off to foot dr. I am having trouble with one of my big toes. I was always able to manage the ingrown nail myself but it is giving me a hard time. Both big toes have black toenails that I got while on chemo and it never went away and I am 13 months out from chemo. Maybe that is the prob and it is swollen too. I don't even want the dr. to touch the toe it hurts so bad..lol.
Oh well, have a great day. Peace to you all..and prayers too
Hugs and prayers,
Candie

Shrink, good luck today.
Susan, your mammo will go fine today too.
Odalys, I know what that situation is like with your mom as I've been there. Hugs to you and prayers for your family.
Candie, my husband has a lot of problems with his knees too but is finally beginning to consider a knee replacement. Good luck with that toe. I have one toe that turned black - and I'm several years out from chemo. My nail lady took care of it for me.

Good Morning ALL, hope everyone has a good day. It is VERY windy here temp is down 20 degrees since yesterday.
Odlays--sending prayers and hugs to you and your family.0 -
Odalys ... So sorry to hear your mom is in the hospital again. Sending big hugs to you and your family during this very difficult time.
BMD ... I just love seeing you pop in here. I can hear the excitement when I read your words on the Pinkstock threads! I know it's been hard for you to not get to see your mom like you'd like to. I'm glad you're feeling much better. It will take time for the soreness and swelling ... wish we could fast forward sometimes!
Candie ... That would be frustrating having that pain come back after having surgery for your knee. Ouch regarding the toe! I'm sure that's very unpleasant. Good luck today.
Jasmine ... So good to see you back online after your internet problems! I'm feeling much better thank you, although still sore and swollen as well like BMD is. Still very little energy but that really is to be expected for me after everything!
Barb ... Good morning, we're having the wind today too. Hold on to your hat today!
Take care everyone
Love and Hugs,
Charlene

MB ... Probably why your DH loves you so, that you're crazy and love to throw a party! lol Wow 15, how sweet!
Neesie ... Thanks for asking about me! My new "girls" are behaving just as they should at this point, still swollen and sore, but very manageable. So very much better than those bowling balls! It will take a good amount of time, at least 4 - 6 months, for them to settle and soften to what they will always be. At that time I'll look at adding nipples. You are so welcome for the baby angel pic for your grandson! I'm glad you're feeling somewhat better.
Nicki ... Yes, that story about your friends DH really Is unbelievable! I sure hope the ICU nurse and doctors had some kind of reprimand for almost senselessly killing someone! Scary, I wonder how common that is!

Thanks for your support everyone. I don't have any results yet although the techs said that verbal reports would be available to the doctors in the late afternoon. I haven't heard from the onc and it's almost 7 PM. The bone tech did give me a hint when I asked if he could tell me anything. He said, "Let's put it this way. If I saw something out of line, you'd be on the table a lot longer than you were." I'm taking that as some good news but who knows? There's my liver, lungs and abdomen to get obsessed about. Sure helps to have you gals around.
Odalys - sorry your mom's back in the hospital. Hugs to you and everyone else.

Shrink..................sounds like a 'good' hint to me!!!!

Well I just got a call from my friend. Now they are wanting to put a trach in her DH for obstructive sleep apnea. We are furiously trying to get him transferred to another hospital.
Gonna go pray to St. Jude again.
And never gonna use Good Shepard Hospital in Barrington. This is getting way too scary.

Hi Girls and Peter,
Just a quick fly by to say hi!
Neesie-Congratulations!!!! A GS wow! He is beautiful. I can't wait to be a grandmom. More fun then being a parent!
Shrink-It sounds good to me. I am praying for you.
Brenda-Where is 2008 Pinkstock? Maybe I can go this year.
I am leaving on my cruise on 1/27. I can't believe it is here already. We started planning when I was going through Chemo last year.
I'll check in soon.
Love you all!
Joyce

Nicki, what tha' A trach for obstructive sleep apnea? I know that it "can" be a serious thing but there are other ways of dealing with it. I'm with you - he needs to be transferred or get another doctor!!! Keep us posted.
Odalys I am so very sorry that your mother is not doing well and is is tired. I hope she got some relief today and both her physical and emotional state is better. This is hard on everyone. There isn't an easy answer - letting those we love go is never easy.
Shrink it truly sounds like you are going to have a good report. Let us know though - I think we could use some good news.
Susan do you know anything from your mammo today? Another friend and myself go "we didn't feel the mass the first time (they were both over 3 cm) so how the heck do we know what we are feeling after surgery and rads!!!!
Brenda/BMD hope you had a good day - I got that tree down today - it is in the yard until tomorrow!!
Waiting for word on my great niece. She is 15 - went to the ER on Sunday with severe abdominal pain. Her abdomen is swollen and when she presses on it she has severe pain. She has had some test and they showed a cyst on her left ovary and blood worked indicated infection somewhere. They wanted her back at the doctor this afternoon. Just talked with my brother - they were going to send her to pediatric surgeon and my niece was taking her to her OB-GYN. I keep thinking perhaps her appendix has ruptured - NOT GOOD. Then as with everything my mind drifts to cancer, ovarian caner. Had that happen to a girl in highschool 2 years behind me. We are all on pins and needles.
Neesie - I must say, I kind of envy you having your new grandchild close by. My almost 2 month old and her 2 l/2 year old sister are 5 hours away. I miss them so much. My grandsons are older and while "nana is special" they are older and not quite that "nana is the best" like the younger ones. I'm glad they are close by for you to enjoy.
Cy, if you are reading - big hugs and lots of prayers and love my friend.

Good morning... a quick here and gone today...running late...
Went to foot dr. yesterday. Not only did he cut out my ingrown nail but found corns UNDER my nail..4 of them. He got those out roots and all and the toe feels much better. He says it is from chemo...usually happens a year out (which I am). The chemo can destroy the nail beds(which I knew but never gave it a thought). The other big toe ..he had to remove half of the nail. He gave me stuff to put on each day for about 9 months.
I have to see him again in April...if a new nail hasn't started growing, he will remove this one to give the other a better chance of growing. What a relief not to have that pain. He froze my toe before he gave me 4 injections and I didn't feel a thing.
Hugs and prayers to all...will read and post later.
Have a great day.
Candie

Is there a way to cut and paste this post for the dreamer thread too? Then I just would have to add to it. I did try it the other day and I lost it!!
