Deb - I hate that you're having to go through this at all -  let alone having to go through it with doctors that are new to you ...  sending you big hugs and waves of calmness and peace ...  know that I'll be right there with you ... just look around - you'll see many of us walking beside you.

    Hugs,

    Doreen

Only have a minute but Deb we are with you right now.  Can you feel us surrounding you with our love.  It's going to rain again here any minute now and I'll be looking for rainbows when it stops.

I don't know what's up with Evansmom but it's not fair to do this at this time.  We regrouped and came back together.  As others have said, we will stay together.

    Deb,

It's almost 5:00 p.m. my time, 2:00 p.m. Alaska time ... going to stop working now so I can go to the docs with you.  Winston and Maggie aren't behaving so they have to stay behind.  I'll stop and pick everyone up from the east coast, hit the north, then the south, swing through the midwest, hit the west coast gals, then we'll head to AK.  The way I drive, we'll be there in about 20 minutes.  Just in time for your appointment.

Sure hope this doc has a BIG office. Cause it's going to be crowed!!  We'll be waiting right here to hear from you.

    All our love,

    Bren

PS - Ooops - Did the math wrong .. I think its 1:00 p.m. your time.  Guess I have time to pick up the gals in Canada and swing by and get Michelle and Peter too!

So glad to see the Circle back to normal.  It's sad that it took such a terrible thing, but I hope we can keep it this way, maybe our way of honoring CY.

Deb, I'm waiting here with everyone else to hear about your test, praying for good news.

Glad to see all you again!

    Hi Girls,

Well, I had a pretty good day. Warren's dad dropped him off this morning, and we spent the day together. It was unexpected (he was supposed to leave to go skiing with his dad today, I guess something happened with their plans) and it kept me from lying in my bed all day, so I guess it was a good thing.

Brenda/Namiam - Thanks for your kind words. I'm really going to just try to wait until next Wed before I panic, in the hope that I'm panicking needlessly. Knowing that you are here for me is very comforting.

Doreen - Thanks, I can use all the prayers I can get right about now. My mind is reeling as far as how I'm going to swing driving into Boston every day for radiation, how long the rads will be, and of course, I can't help thinking about even stupid things, like will it mess up my hair (my friend's husband has no hair on one side of his head from throat cancer rads.)

Gina - What can I say? Thanks for the call, it was good to be able to talk to someone while I was still in shock.

MB - nice to see you, and thanks for the prayers and healing thoughts

Peter - nice to see you too, it's been a while! I hope you are doing well and that you get good news about your ribs (I think?), I have kept up with you on the dreamer's thread, but my mind is a bit fuzzy right now.

Angel - good to see you, and thanks for thinking of me. I hope you are feeling good and that Karl and the girls are doing well.

Sue/Gus - man, I feel like a broken record, but good to see your smiling face too. Thanks for the offer to help, you are too sweet. I need to see what I'll be dealing with, but I'm hoping that radiation will be more manageable when I haven't just finished 4 months of chemo!!

Candie - my fellow Jersey girl, I know, it's really hard to comprehend that our sweet CY is gone, I really have no words for it.

Madison - I've been freezing and shivering since I got the news, that fire is just the thing, thank you!

Nicki - For all the help you given me, the jokes you've shared with me, I can't thank you enough. I know, while there is definitely plenty of information on plain old squamous cell carcinoma, there is very little on the perineural invasion (PNI), and the info on that is very negative, but limited. I'm really trying to just force myself to wait until next Wed when I meet with the rad onc. The fact that I'm even meeting with a rad onc is traumatic enough quite frankly. Thanks for always being there for me.

Suz - yes, it does feel like kind of a lot for one week! Not to mention the fact that something definitely seems to be up with my dad's health. He has lost about 15 pounds in a week, is severly anemic, and is having dr's appts right and left. He's in NJ, I'm in MA and my sister is in VA, so we have to rely on what he says, and god bless him, he's a dear sweet man, but he's become a bit of an alcoholic (more like a big alcoholic!) since my mom died, so it's hard to get a straight answer out of him. We can only hope for the best.

Neesie - I know, don't these flippin' agressive spreading cancer cells KNOW that I am a Circle Girl for crying out loud?!?!?!

Jan - thanks for your kind words, I hope you are hanging in there.

Susan - I always love seeing your avatar, I love how that Glinda dress is like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - it looks great on everyone! Thanks for your kind words, it really helps knowing there are people pulling for me.

Jan/Wild - thank you my friend, I hope you are hanging in there too

Amy - thank you so much, I know you are dealing with plenty yourself right now! Yes, I've been googling "SCC perineural invasion ear" but had to stop myself, because I could only find two kinds of news - bad and worse! It's reminding me a little bit of my triple neg googling in the very beginning, but I feel like I've beaten that, so I do have hope! Hugs to you my friend, I always smile when I see your pots.

Deb - I'm hoping you are able to post something tonight about your appt. I know you are going through a major nightmare yourself right now, so I appreciate you thinking of me. xoxo

Puppy - I'm sorry, I haven't really been reading, I'm sorry to hear about your news. What a week this has been. I'm hoping there is another post from you with good news.

Carrie - thanks for the prayers! Yes, Warren and I used to love Veggie Tales when they were just the little 30 minute videos. The feature movies were OK, but not really the same thing. He loved Larry the Cucumber, and we used to have Bob the Tomato and a few other ones too, but we only have Jr Asparagus left, and he is my favorite! I'm so morbid, yesterday I was thinking I would like to be buried with him. (How weird is that?!?!) And yes, I'm stopping that nonsense right now!

Odalys - I'm quite sure I told you how sorry I was to hear about your mom, but just in case I didn't, please accept my condolences. Yes, something is obviously going on these past few weeks, way too much sadness!

Iris - My goodness, it's so nice to see you! Thanks for your well-wishes, they really do give me strength. And yes, I am going to try my very best!

Margo - yes, an unbelieveably sad day, and yet, your smiling face in your avatar always brings a smile to my face as well. Thanks for your kind words.

Barb - Thanks for your prayers, I am grateful for every single person who says a prayer for me.

Liz - I'm reading a book called "Peony in Love" right now, and one of the themes is that love doesn't end when we die. I think CY is proving that to be true!

Brenda/BMD - Can't remember if I already said hello to you or not! I'm starting to lose it a bit I think, I'm really tired!

Gina - I was bummed when I realized I missed the lunar eclipse. I love stuff like that. Thanks for the pictures!

Sheri - That is so kind of you. And yes, I once explained the atmosphere and camaraderie at Dana Farber as being "like a permanent state of just after 9/11, everyone is friendly and kind to each other"  I think that's true of this place too. We all "get it", so when someone is hurting or in trouble, we know how to rally!

Sue/Boo - thanks (and I'm really worried I'm starting to repeat myself now, despite the notepad trick!)

lini - always so good to see you my friend, thanks for your prayers

suzfive - I can feel the warmth, thank you

shokk - so fabulous to see you my friend,

Oh my gosh you guys, it's my sister on the phone, the hematologist called my Dad tonight, and told him to go to the hospital tomorrow for a blood transfusion. We don't understand what is going on with him, but it seems like something is really wrong. I need to talk to her for a bit. Sorry to stop in the middle of my post.

For all of those that I didn't get to, thanks you so very much for all your support. My love to you all...

Oh my goodness, Colleen you have a lot on your plate.  Big  hugs to you and I really hope everything turns out ok.  I'm not sure that I understand your dx (is it a final dx?)  I have never heard of this.  I hope everything is ok with your dad.  I do understand the alcoholic aging parent.  Been there!

Deb, any news????  Sending big cyber hugs to you also!

Too much sadness here.  We need to be strong for one another.
