Deb hoping you got a good nights sleep after such an emotional day yesterday.

Suz-thanks for the update on the papaya tablets.  I gotta check that out.

Madison-happy to see you my friend and glad to hear your daughter is doing well.  I hated it when Jesse was over there and he had friends that didnt get anything.  My family always sent alot so there was plenty to share.

Peggy-nice to see you dropping in.  How are things with you these days?

Nicki-why is your cat wearing the lampshade?  They look so pitiful when they have to wear those.

    Boo-nice to see you.

Colleen-thinking of you.  Let me know if I can do anything.

Puppy-hope things are going ok with you.

    Jaz-good morning to you.

Hope everyone has a great Friday and an even better weekend.

I posted this on the other thread on stage 3.  I don't ususally copy-and-paste in more than one place, but so many folks have been holding my hand I wanted to keep everyone in the loop...

    Whew....boy did I SLEEP!  I love my Valium...LOL

I had an appointment with my PCP's back-up doc this afternoon and the office just called to say he called in sick!  I swear I have not been having much luck with docs this week.

My PCP is back on Tuesday, so I made an executive decision to wait until then.  I have an appointment on next Thursday with my Onc, and between the two of them, we will get a new plan of action in place.  I don't like the wait-and-see game, but I really don't like the sound of the surgery that would be needed to get the node from behind my clavicle either.....

With the scan from Wednesday showing I don't have any huge cancer growing like wild-fire, I am going to assume that everything is fine until they prove to me otherwise.  The doc yesterday kept hedging his bet with words like "worrisome" and "possible mets"....but I think he was covering his ass.

John and Katie left this morning to go watch Carol ski in the State ski meet.  My baby girl is on the Varsity as a freshman, and I am so proud of her I could just burst.  The State meet is a series of 3 races; a 7.5 km classic style race, a 7.5 km, skate race and a 4 by 3.5 Km relay.  She skied the classic race yesterday and came in in 104th place in the state in her first year!!!  I am so proud of her for going and doing her thing! She likes skate technique better than classic, so today and tomorrow will be more fun for her.  I am so glad that John and Katie can be there to see her.  They have orders to bring back LOTS of video.

Those of you who have been on this rollercoaster longer than me need to give me lessons on how to deal with these scares.  I have got to find a way to keep myself calm during this test-and-wait process.  It is nuts what I go through emotionally each time I get a funky test result.  I refuse to believe that I will have to keep doing this for 5 years or longer.  I need to learn how to do it with out panic....

I am behind on everything at work and at home since all I have been doing this week is pacing and worrying, so I don't think I will get caught up with reading until tonight or tomorrow.

I don't know if I say this enough, but you guys are my life-line in good times and bad.

    Love you

    Deb C

    Hello Circle Friends

I have missed you guys. Got back last evening from Ft Lauderdale. Got a bit of a tan and some relaxation. Came home to the 20's but it is still good to get home.

Puppy, you said that "Jesus is in the air", yes he is always with us, whatever would we do with his love and forgiveness. Bless You for being my Christian sister in addition to being a bc sister.

Liz...bet I got home to late to get any taters, onions and cornbread. I will pass on the beans, you put meat in them.

Odalys...I couldn't ask you to meet me in Ft Lauderdale after what you so recently went through with your mother. I look forward to seeing you at Pinkstock. This is a terrible loss for you; you have many good and happy memories, hang onto those. Hugs

Deb...Sweetie, try not to be scared, like puppy said, give it to God. You are going to be here until he is ready for you to come home. You are his child, you don't have to worry.

Shokk...sorry you are dealing with the sarcoidosis, I had many patients while working at the hospital with it. It is treatable but worrisome. I have had a cough ever since I started chemo. I had 6 months checkup the 15th of this month, onc told me he was confident that it was due to where I live, said almost everyone who lives in the Midwest has allergies they are not always aware of and I do have lots of sinus drainage. Hope he is right but like I told Deb earlier, I am not going to be gravely concerned over it. I am a believer and worry is a sin if we are his child.

So very, very sorry to hear about Cy. No more pain and suffering for her. My sympathy to all that knew and loved her. I regret that I never had the opportunity to meet her here on earth.

Colleen, sorry your news wasn't good. You are being wrapped in love, support and prayer.

Puppy....stay close, you are in his care.

Madison...beautiful prayer. Deb we are all praying. Madison, I appreciate you sharing your faith.

BinVa...Bob once asked me if I had ever played Dutch Oven. I didn't know what he was talking about. He had cut a Blue Hazer and he pulled the cover over my head and held it. I learned real quick what the game was. I learned how to retaliate. If Mr Tim stinks too bad, hold the cover down on him.

Deb Slone, I have been away but have still had you in my thoughts. Pray that you are doing ok.

Deb, glad your news wasn't bad, in fact, almost encouraging.  I hate the wait and see game, too, but sometimes that is the best approach.  It will be interesting to see what your pcp decides.

Colleen, wow, you sure have a lot going on.  Take care of yourself and enjoy your time with Warren.

Doris, good to see you back.  Glad you had a good time.

    To everyone else, hello!

Sue/Boo:  I was so happy to see you.  Hoping things are going well with you.  I miss you around here.

Candie:  Goodness you were part of that big storm.  They have been talking about it here on the news in Chicago.  First day after is pretty if you dont have to travel anywhere.  You could always build a snowman though.

Bren:  My husband is a pretty good cook too, but never in a millions years would he make any kind of bean soup for me.  And I love it, including the lima beans.

Liz:  That breakfast was mighty good.  Im putting a batch of good old fashioned chili and minestrone soup.  Will last the whole afternoon.

Amy:  My poor little Wesley.  Last week when I woke up the one side of his face was so swollen his eye was shut.  Brought him to the Vet thinking it was an infection of his tooth.  Turns out Leslie whacked him good with her paw and the nail punctured his face.  He had an abcess.  So now - after anesthesia, lancing his cheek, living with a drain for 4 days and having to force him to take antibiotics everyday - Im happy to say that his hood comes off Wednesday.  You would have laughed if you saw my trying to make him take his pills.  I usually won, but not without some sweat.

DebC:  What a difference a week makes.  You are such a sweetheart, and I bet its hard to come out of that emotional jigsaw puzzle.  Your a great mom.

Doris:  Sounds like you had a wonderful time in Florida.  What I would do for a little color right now.  Glad your home now sound and safe.

So many more to say hello to.  Sige, Sheri, Margo, Puppy, and anyone else Im missing.  Sending a big hug your way.

Wow, this is really starting to feel like the old circle.  You are great Charlene.  Very nice card Nicki.  And Puppy are you getting more tests.  What's next?  Colleen what about you.  Are you going to find out more?  Sounds like you and Warren had fun.

I'm so glad that we can help each other.

Nicki are you talking about a dog or cat that got hurt.  I sometimes use honey and sometimes use cheese whiz in a can.  It's hard to get my dog to take her pills.

Hey everyone, stopping by to say hi!  I have a few minutes before church...

Yesterday took the kids to Spring Mountain to go snow tubing.  I have never been tubing before (I am not much of a winter sports person...I like the beach and the WARM sun!!) but we had a great time!  My 8 year old went down once but then I couldn't get him back on the tube...so DH and I took turns staying with him in the lodge.  But my 10 year old kept at it for 4 hours!  My arms are so SO sore today from hanging on to the tube for dear life!!  LOL!

Thinking of you all and hoping all is well!

    *Hugs*

Good Morning Everyone.  Thought I would pop in and say hello.  Thinking of so many of you today.  Hoping you will have a good Sunday filled with lots of love and sunshine.

Susan:  Its sort of funny in my house.  Its my male cat who is sick.  And giving him his pills each morning is just like having a cat fight lol.  My dog Mister - is jealous, so after I give my cat his pill - the goofy dog has me open his mouth and pretend to give him a pill too.  Goodness sometimes my house is crazy.

Cheri:  Having lost my sister, I know how hard it is.  Sort of a numb feeling I would suspect today.  Really feel bad you are having to go through all this sadness.

Neese:  Hit direct link on you photobucket, then hit the little tree on top.  Sometimes you have to click it twice for the picture to show up.

Kristin:  Sounds like you had alot of fun with your children yesterday.  Ive never been tubing - and figure at my age, my fat butt would be on the ground and the tube would be going no where.

Sending big hugs to those who are still in the middle of the circle.  Seems like some got good news, others not.  Will always be thinking and praying for you.

I have a big pot of vegetable soup brewing.  Chunky style.  The longer it cooks, the better it tastes.  Have some garlic bread on the side.  Figured with this cold weather and chill we need something that will warm our hearts and tummy.  Have a good Sunday.

Gonna go sit by the campfire for a bit.

Just quickly dropping by to say hi and will come back later to post.  I am going to be Susie Homemaker today - weather is horrible outside, good day to stay in.

Jas, I made your potato soup yesterday.  I wonder how well it would freeze?

Vickie, haven't seen you in ages.  How's Nate doing?

    Good morning everyone

Susan, thanks, I think You are great!

Kristen, My 9 year old loves snow tubing .. has been doing it for a couple of years.  I couldn't go ... would just hurt too much and can't take the cold!

Today is a sad day for me.  My niece Shannon would have turned 28 but she died in August 2001 after a tragic fall from a tall building. We like to think she was needed as an angel to watch and care for all those who suffered and died on 09/11.  What an awful time that was.  The angel I'm posting today resembles her with the red hair and pale skin.

I'm thinking of everyone having difficulties this week and hoping for good answers to those having tests.  Colleen, Deb, Puppy ... special thoughts going out to each of you.

    Hidey Ho kids,

Lori - we'll be with you during chemo.  I'm glad you can wrap yourself in our hugs.

Char - how sad.  Yes she is an angel.

I haven't read anything as usual, just quickly popping in.  I need to get some things done.

I'll be out of town Wednesday - Friday.  There's always something to finish before leaving isn't there?  Like an afghan?  LOL

    Hugs
