Huneb....I hope you are having gravy and fried potatoes with those biscuits. I have some sliced tomatoes I will pitch in. That is a real country breakfast for you. You "northern folk" don't know what you have been missing.

Cheryl, thanks for the beautiful prayer. Glad that you will be watching out for me and not run me down when you are after Shokk

Odalys...you had a long fast trip. Happy that you had such a great time. That was a lot of miles and you even got some shopping in....You go girl!!!

Wendy....Thank You for the biggggggg cyber hug and so happy that you are doing so well. The power of prayer........awesome!!!

Tracy, welcome and glad to see you post. Lots of support here for all in need.

Sheri, take time to come in and visit more. I know you are busy with school about to begin.

Shokk...thanks for watching out for me. I need someone to watch my back. That Cheryl can get carried away. Don't give her my address; she will have signs planted all over the place here. Sorry you are having to choose between friends, that can be tough. Do you think that Cheryl is worth it?  Oh, I forgot, she is a survivor too, we have to make concessions for her don't we?

Bren...as usual, always so caring and thoughtful of others. I have mentioned this before but my bracelet is still on the coffee table. I don't put it away with my other things but keep it here as a daily reminder of you and all that you are, not only to me but all that cross your path.

    Good Morning Harley...hugs for you!!!

Blue, take some time for you and get some rest. You have that procedure coming up and need to be all rested for that. Yes that Shokk is a mess, isn't she?

DebC...still holding you up this morning.

Nicki, your weekend is upon us and you will be able to get in some computer time and get off that ankle. Has the cane helped?

ShopMama, I get my baby fix on Sundays at the church nursery. I get those little hugs from the toddlers too that have graduated and moved on. Nothing better then those sweet little kisses and hugs. You just keep your chin up and stop that worrying, you are doing all you can do and you need to lay that worry down....love you girl

    Hi val and lisa

    Having company today...better get moving.

Hey Circle Girls Old and New! (Well, not old as in age, you know what I mean...) Just a quick pop-in to say hello to everyone, happy for ladies doing well and praying for everyone having a hard time right now.

    Hello to Gina!

Bren, I look at my bracelet and bear (and card!) all day too. The bear sits next to my laptop, wearing the bracelet like a crown on her head, and the card is taped to the wall above it.

Hugs to you all. Once a Circle Girl, Always a Circle Girl...

shokk... Baby Julie sends hugs back to  you all the way in TX.  You should smell her!  Every time I leave there I keep smelling my shirt and hands because they smell like "baby.'  What a sweet treasure she is!   You and Cherryl are playing as nice as you can, I know.... but the neighborhood wars do not need to start.  You crack me up....ebony and ivory.   Cherryl... you are a champ.  Always so thoughtful for everyone.  Did I tell you Amanda and Baby Julie say thank you to you?

School started back here yesterday.  A bit more traffic on the ride in to work so I will have to be careful to make sure I get up when my alarm goes off instead of hitting the snooze so many times.  I so enjoyed my afternoon off yesterday.  I got some laundry done while I scrapbooked.  Oh my, I have become a scrapbooking fool.  But I am so pleased with the pages I have completed.

I am so glad you pinkstockers had so much fun and made it home safely.  I really have enjoyed looking at the photos and hoping if there is one next year maybe I can go.    Doris, so nice to see  you checking in, and Blue, you better be resting up young lady!  Missing my dragonfly sister, Vickie.  Where are you??????  Off with that man I suppose.....oh well, it may be a good thing.  Hope so.

Nickie, I am glad that your foot is better.  I still love reading your posts and appreciate it so much when you explain things.  Will you explain something to me?  What are calcifications and why are they significant in a mammogram?  I have a friend, former bc patient, whose doc told her there were calcifications in her mammo, and they would redo in 6 months.  I never like waiting for 6 months on anything.

Slonedeb I am missing you and thinking of you dear.  I hate it when any of our sisters are in pain.  DebC my prayers are going up for you as well, and all of those in the center of the circle.

For those I left out, Sheri, Brenda, Bren, Odalys, {Gina}, I didn't do it on purpose.  Take care of you!!!!   Love and hugs, Pammy

Glad the week-end is here so I can catch up on some much needed rest.

Doris:  I have gravy and french fries - but not for breakfast lol.  My ankle is doing much better and yes the cane is helping.  Im not having anymore pain, my walking is unbalanced and the cane is keeping me steady.

Colleen:  What a wonderful surprise to see a post from you.  Have been missing you alot and sending a big hug your way.

Pammy:  Wow, I cant believe school started already!  Your right, the traffic patterns change.  Im hoping with my leaving earlier everyday, I will avoid all the congestion.  Schools here in Illinois dont start back until the end of August.  Im certainly not an expert when it comes to all of this breast cancer stuff.  What I have learned is they do not put much concern toward Macrocalcifications, but when they see microcalcifications especially when in clusters, it could indicate breast cancer.  Microcalcifications in some cases are calcium deposits from dead cancer cells.  My lump never showed up on my mammogram but I had lots of microcalcifications that were in clusters.  Sometimes our breast have so much activity going on it requires more testing.  I sure hope your friend will be ok.

Shokk:  Im still in a whirlwind with the news about John Edwards.  I was one of those who liked him alot and one of the reasons was for his support and love of his family.  I feel bad for Elizabeth.  She was supposed to give a talk at the convention - I hope she can still do it.

Harley:  Thanks for the angles.  I think we need alot of them.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Good Morning Circle Girls,

I've been away from the boards dealing with Taxol SE's for a bit but just checked in and read the posts about our DebC. Praying for you Deb and wishing you a comfy week end at home with the fam. Take extra special good care of yourself. For all of those in the center of the circle, rest easy. You are surrounded by angels.

Didn't read back so I'll just pop in from here.

Wendy, glad to hear everything went well and you should be going home.  By the time I went home, I quit with the pain pills - Tylenol Extra Strength worked for me.  Post when you can.

Hune, I don't think we've officially "met" and if we have, sorry, chalk it up to chemobrain.  A 12 layer buttermilk biscuit sounds wonderful, with some butter dripping out of it, unless someone has made some sausage gravy, then I'll take that with my biscuit.  Getting hungry already and it's not even 6 am here.

Hi Nicki.  I'm with you on John Edwards.

DFW, I see you've brought the gravy and fried potatoes - my breakfast is starting to sound mighty good - talk about comfort food.

Colleen, glad to see you pop in.  Hope everything is ok with you and Warren.

Pam, this is like old home week - I'm seeing lots of faces I haven't seen in ages.  I have one grandchild in year round school and one in traditional school - he doesn't start until the end of the month.

Will try to pop in later.  Have a good day.

Good morning dear sisters!   It is nice and cool out this morning in Georgia, almost like a fall day, but do not be deceived.... it is summer here until about October!

DebC you are first on my mind this morning.  I am hoping you had a restful night.  You are such an inspiration to me and I just want you to know that.  I am praying that all will come out with no evidence of cancer at all.  Your body has just been through so much I say it is revolting.  Sending big hugs your way.

Slonedeb you are also on my mind, especially as we haven't heard from you much lately.  I know you have been having such a difficult time.  I want you to know that we all love you and are praying for  you and your family.

Puppy.... dear Aunt Puppy... it is about time for you to make another appearance here young lady.  You know I love you better than peanut butter!  I thank God each day for bringing you into my life.  There is a special bond we have that only our hearts understand.  Hope you and Ed have a beautiful day.

The circle is intact.  That is a good thing.  May I offer up a morning prayer?

Dear Father in heaven, our Creator and Sustainer..... how we need you here in our midst.  Come to us Lord with healing and love.  Allow us to feel your presence and Spirit among us.  Heal us Lord.  Take away our hurts and sorrows.  Help us to keep our eyes on you and know that  you are Lord, that you are still in control.  Help us to believe.  And Lord, help our unbelief.  We try so hard to do and say the right things.  We fight cancer the only way we know how.  Guide our physicians and caretakers.  Help us to learn to lean on you and to take care of each other.  Bless our circle Lord, bless each one of us as we struggle with cancer and its effects on our lives.  Please help them to find a cure.   In Jesus name I pray.  Amen

    Good morning dear sisters,

It is SO good to be home with my DH and kitties.  They were so happy to see me & want to crawl up on me.  The little one is only 6 lbs but the other is 15lbs. so she is quite uncomfortable.  I had a great nights sleep, course the Ambien helped. It was so nice not being woke up every 4 hours to be assessed.  The temperature on the flap is holding perfect and the drains are definately slowing down.  They will probable come out on Monday.  All in all, recovery after 10 1/2 hours of surgery has been uneventful.  Tuesday my temp went up to 101.8 but that usually happens to me after surgery.   They put me on Keflex here at home so that should hold down any infection.

Dear sisters, you all have been such a blessing this past week.  I don't believe things would have gone as well as they did without you all.  You are all gifts from God.  When the drs. and nurses would say how well I was doing, I told them I had a group of women who were praying and holding me in their arms and that was the reason.  I didn't have anyone who disagreed.

I'm going to take it easy today, sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and my flowers.  DH is helping son move out of his dumpy house in Kalamazoo to a nicer one.  I can't believe the schools are starting in a couple of weeks.  Time has gone by so fast.

To all that are in pain, I pray for relief. For those in turmoil, comfort.  For those who are tired, rest.  For those that know not what they need, God does so I commit them to Him.  I love you all and may God be with each and every one of you.  Bless you.

    In His Hands,

    Wendy

Hello to all...thinking of Deb,slonedeb,Puppy and many others who are in our thoughts.

shokk...thank you so much for your kind words! I have gotten behind this wk and wanted to post. It is like what Dorothy said to Auntie Em...home. I began here, at bco, and found acceptance in the circle. I have met and keep meeting so many neat people and I thank you for your acceptance! I think you are the most wonderful humorist/writer...you should do books as I just smile at your posts. We do go back to the center...I truly believe that!

Nicki...thanks to you and the neat pictures and words! Congrats on the tests...I read just have been overwhelmed with parents' issues and some things here. I am so glad abt your foot, too. August is a very emotional time for me and I so appreciate the kind words! I am trying to re-connect with the important people and say thanks for everyone's kindnesses. Hoping your wkend goes well! Thank you for the bears...and special friends! The bears,in hospitals/with children in crises, has always been one of my loves and thank you for connecting that to me. That was a real day-brightener! :) That made me smile as there is just magic with bears... children, stuffed animals and pets...JMO

Doris...big thank you to you! I hope that you are having a good weekend and things go well for you! Thanks for the kind words...as I said, this thread was very important to me and so many of us. I think we go on many paths and finally,if we are lucky,re-connect to the things that were meant to be. I guess it is part of growing and changing and finding ourselves in the process.

Sheri...hi to you and hope that the school yr goes well. I hope that you and your family are well and it is less hot in KY. Thought of you as my cousin is getting married in Gadsden today...she is from there and is a phys therapist. The church is near Noccalula Falls. I thought of your family and seems like you mentioned an outing at the park near there when you visited the Al relatives.

Hi to all the MI friends...Neesie,Wings,Nancy and so many more neat people. Thanks for the kind words and you, all, are so awesome!

Cherryl...hi to another Tarheelian friend! Hope that you are well and I have been reading the John Edwards thread here. Talk abt disappointment and I guess I am the last one who ever wants to doubt people. It really sickens me as I just live on being so naive, maybe?Take care...thinking of you with each bear I see...bought two at the Build-A-Bear Workshop...man,I need a job there! I would adopt them all and be bearyhappy...bearycrazy.

Bren...hi to you and hope that VA is cooler, too. We have sure had the heat this wk. Bet the power companies will be sending some interesting bills soon! Hope you,Mr Tim and the neat animal friends are well.

Brenda/NC...hope that you have rested some and love all those pics from PS. You had such neat pics and hope that you and dh had fun at Niagara Falls. I would love to visit there as I know it is beautiful like Ischua and the NY area where you were. Hope that you are cooler there than we have been here...wow! I sound like a broken record abt the heat;but 100 degrees has been insane!

Colleen...great to see you and hope that Warren is doing well. Hope that Warren has a great yr in school...what is this 7th this yr?

Nico,hi to you! I don't think we have met. Just wanted to say hello and good to meet you.

HB...nice to meet you, too! I am like Margo...12 layer biscuits sound wonderful! My grandmother and mother made those flaky Southern ones and we had Alabama gravy on them. Wow,that was good eating and good memories. My mother would make this gravy for toast for this picky eater who later ate everything in sight! Alabama gravy was like this regular gravy that has many other names...it was so delish!

Wendy, nice to meet you! I don't think that I have said hello...great to see you here.

Pam...loved the ruby red slippers and your dress! I have a small pr that is a pin and I love them. I put them on and I feel like it is a magical time...sometimes we just need to go into another world for awhile...at least,I do. Hi to the new baby and Miles, his wife and all the GA family and friends. I met my friend's granddaughter(three)last week. There is something abt a child that is so loving and so trusting. I held her and it was like the biggest thrill...glad that you have such a special new life and so wonderful to be part of your friend's/like a daughter, almost world. I am wordy here...just children are so special...when they are dry and behaving! Ha! Kidding...

Margo...hi to you and hope that the wkend is good! I know you do so many neat cooking things and you would have loved these cookies I received. They were Chocobillies and little chunks of choc chips...I remem yours and all the goodies you describe that you bake. Have a great wkend and hello to your family. Forgot to tell you that I had a Starbucks,on Thur, caramel macchiato. I even put whipped cr on it...am I bad or what? Then, went to Chili's for celebrating my friend's b'day. We only live once in August, right? I say that for every month...ha! Have a good wkend!

Harley...hi to another Tarheel! I think you are on the NC coast. I am in the cap city and visit the coast when I go to see my parents. They live off the Pamlico Sound area...Hope that you are having a good wkend!

Odalys...hi to you and neat pics of Pinkstock! I really enjoyed reading and seeing them and I know that you had a blast! There were awesome songs and friends...it looks wonderful and thanks for sharing. The pics of Steven were so neat and your dh. I loved the music, too!

Kristin...your music is awesome! I just sang along with do you know the way to Ischua...that was just so neat!

Hello to all Circle Friends...anyone I skipped...big hi! There were so many of us who began together, learned together, some of us have gone on to different paths/different threads as we do in real life each day. However, all of you have really added to my life and I thank you for helping me be who I am...and who I want to be. The road has been challenging and I thank you for sending out the wagons and all the ones who kept the fires tended and all the wonderful goodies ready!

One of my very favorite songs besides "Miracles" is  "Landslide" sung by Stevie Nicks so fitting here for me...JMO

Only went back a page...thank you for the kind thoughts and support! The last few wks have been tough for my mother and me. She goes back for her stitches to be removed on Mon. She had surgery for some squamous cancerous cells on her leg and had sev surgeries since. So,I appreciate the good thoughts and keeping me close! I read and just do not always write...however,I thank you for allowing a very wordy bearlover to be part of this great circle! My father is OK...now 81 and things are more difficult. However,we are very lucky to have each other.

Take care and have a super weekend!!

Iris/bearlysane and bearyhappy to see all of you! Thanks to everyone for the support!

Iris, so good to see you.  Nocolula Falls is a beautiful place.  We did have a nice outing there over Spring Break.  Our weather has been very nice the last few days, not too hot or humid.  Very refreshing for August.  Congrats on your cousin's wedding.

Wendy, enjoy the day and keep resting so you can recover.

Pam, your prayer is beautiful as usual.

I'm enjoying a day with my younger brother who is visiting from Utah.  It's nice to have family here for a couple of days.

I have enjoyed my day.  Just hanging out in the house and relaxing.  Have had the chance to read many threads today and so many sisters are struggling right now.  Just waned to send some big hugs out there to everyone.

Odalys:  Great post. Im adding a name or two.

DebC, SloneDeb, Gina, Puppy....Fancy, Stephanie, Dawn....

Wendy:  What a sweet statement you made.  "I'm going to take it easy today, sit outside and  enjoy the sunshine and my flowers."  That gave me such a good visual that I had to go do it myself.  I hope you have enjoyed your day and glad your starting to recover.

Iris:  I must admit, when looking up pictures of Bears, it starts to get interesting and fun.  Always love your story behind the picture.  We had a little mental telepathy.  When I was driving home I heard "Landslide" and though of you.  Dont know why, didnt know it was one of your favorites.  I like the song too.  This one is for you.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nKvpKdy-60

Sheri: I hope you are having fun with your brother today.  I know you were looking forward to it.

Liz:  Hi de ho and hi to you.Smile

Hope you all have a nice evening.  This is another of my favorite Fleetwod Mac songs.

SloneDeb - we miss hearing from you.  I hope you are feeling better.  Please check in when you get a chance.  We worry about you.

DebC - I continue to pray and hope it's not mets.  Rest up and let us continue to have a conversation with the big man above on your behalf.  He can make all things possible.  (((hugs)))

Hi Iris.  OMG - when I first saw your post I didn't realize it was you and kept trying to remember who "barelysane" was.  Sorry.  So nice to see you.  Glad you enjoyed the pics and the songs.  I'd love to meet you.  Any chance you will make it to Pinkstock next year?  Everyone is welcome, even us city slickers.  hehehehe

Doris - I really enjoyed talking with you from Pinkstock.  Are you planning another trip to FL?  I'd love to meet you.

Sheri - just a few more days left before you have a room full of kids again.  How are those Spanish lesson plans coming along?  Necesitas ayuda?

Liz - How are you feeling?  We missed you at Pinkstock.

Margaret - Hi.  How is my secret Santa doing these days?

Wendy - Hi. I don't believe we've met. Glad to hear your surgery went well.  I sure hope those drains can come out on Monday.  I felt so much better without them.  Glad this group helped you through such difficult time.   Oh, I just loved the Ambien.  It helps you sleep and when you wake up you feel so rested.

Pammy - We can always count on you to lift our spirits with a great prayer.  Thank you!

Deb, good to see your post!

Odalys, espaniol es bien, pero necisito estudiar. (I don't know if my sentence structure is right, but I think you know what I meant)

Valerie, school starts "officially" on Wed.  I will spend the next 2 days finishing up the loose ends and be as ready as I can when the kiddos start swarming in the halls.

I need to get out my Spanish dictionary and start studying some more.

Sheri - hehehehe...you are too funny.  Let me know if you need my help with the Spanish lessons.  Espanol is my firt language.

    Nicki- Going swimming today?

Val - no I'm still dragging.  I can't seem to get going today.  How I wish we lived closer so we could see each other often.

Val-I am completely exhausted. I keep thinking it is just me but my 9 year old has been saying he is exhausted all the time too.

Odalys-I think driving would have been worse than the 22 hour airplane fun.

Nessie-Summer just got started here. It was been hot and humid everyday since we got home.

    Hidey Ho to everyone else.

SloneDeb - I'm so sorry.  I will continue to pray for you and I know the other ladies will too.  You are in the middle of our circle.  May God help you and comfort you.  Thanks for checking in.
