Wendy - Cute photos! You all look great! I'm so N-VIOUS...I bet you had the 300 out today! Ours is still being worked on! The drag strips opened this weekend...and we're hot-rodless! Bummer. We had a custome Manifold built for it. When they attempted to put it in, it was built too big! OUCH! But this summer....we have to meet on Rte 12. Either at the place by the dairy queen or Famous Freddies! FUN, FUN, FUN!
Calypso - I will let you know the cocoa color values. I have to run down and look at the paint can. All the paint is Sherwin Williams.

Jackie - My ortho surg said the back pack leaf blower is a must at our age! You aren't puny...you've had alot of chemo. You're doing good!
EVERYONE - Hope you made the most of this day! It was gorgeous. I worked in my garden - boot and all. Filled my wheel barrow 15 times with crap like leaves, etc. from my garden beds. It's lots of work living in a forest!

Beautiful good morning to you all. Looks like rain tomorrow for us but since I'm not scheduled to work anywhere and can loaf through it all I guess I won't mind too much.
Let all the doggies run outdoors and out of the pen most of the day yesterday.....were they loving it. Boss and Poncho--our white Bishon-Poo stay in the yard, but Buddy and Chico run all over the place and make me nervous thinking some of the neighbors get irritated sometimes with them. They are a funny looking pair though. Chico is a Puggle with the rusty color of a Pug and is a 20 pounder. Buddy who looks a lot like Queensland Sheppard only bigger probably is 65 pounds so they make quite a pair. All the dogs here are male.....Baby Boss being the only one who is not "fixed". He goes in later this month...can't wait.

Julie is I think still having troubles after every chemo. I think she is nearly finished...sure hope so. It has been a real struggle for her and my heart goes out to her. If you read this....hang in there Julie.

Hey gals! I think Spring has finally arrived! YEA!!!! I'm putting my snow shovel away today and then I'm heading out to the golf course so I have lots to do around here before I can go without feeling guilty! LOL

Michele, my cousin was born and raised in Illinois but went to Arizona for college and stayed in the Phoenix area. That makes it even more amazing!
Laura, I like the colors that you chose and will be anxious to see pictures. Doesn't it take forever to get painting and remodeling done? My bathroom is finally ready for the wallpaper, lights, and paint. The painting is my job so it will probably take forever to get that done. Then I will post pictures. It's been quite a test of the patience but it's looking pretty good compared to when we started.
Kater...hope the rash is better. I didn't know about that side effect.
Also, thanks for the sharing the picture. Your Mom looks pretty good for her age! That obviously where you get your "youthful" appearance!
I go for my check-up with the onc on Thursday and I'm getting that nervous feeling again. I couldn't sleep last night again. I'm going to try to keep my mind busy this week but the worry seems to sneak in at night no matter what I do. I find myself reading a good book and not really concentrating on it at all!
Susan, you seem so much perkier and happier these days! I am so glad! You are such a super person! Just think, you don't have many more days of school left this year! That should perk you up even more...along with this wonderful sunshine!
Jackie...glad you're getting along better. I lived in a small town most of my life and I understand the shopping problems. We always had to go somewhere else to stock up on things....or that was our excuse to get out of town and shop the malls! LOL Still, I don't think there's much better than the small-town friendliness!

Hi all my friends,
I'm finally feeling better. I went to the onc. Wednesday, she gave me a muscle relaxor and a pain med that has made a huge difference, my arm is getting so much better. I start chemo on the 23rd carboplatin, avastine and taxotere, four treatments. I think it's time to start looking for wigs... argh .
I'm taking Vic (boyfriend) to Vegas for his birthday April 3 thru 7, I hope the hair lasts through it. I had a great weekend, the weather is so renewing. I think I'm going to try to do some yard work today.
It's noon I guess I should start something.

Good Afternoon!!!! Lousy sleeping last night so was running late this morning...Rita...boy can I empathize with you! My appt with the onc is on Wednesday...probably why I just lay there in bed last night with my mind going nutso....
Laura...Yep...had the Z out yesterday am, with the top down. It was glorious. And...ahem....that is a "350" Z, not a "300". Too bad the speed is wasted on me tho! I drive the speed limit...I am sooo boring.
Mich....my bang? What bangs??? They are still a bit short but they are almost there. Maybe Connie might have a solution for you..heehee.
Calypso, Nancy...another week of rads, but another week closer to being done!
Karen....very chilly and windy here today. Brrrrrrrrr but the sun is out so that is nice.
Leesa....you sound GOOD!! I did carbo and taxotere with my Herceptin. The hair did go but I never got sick or the dreaded chemo fatigue. I know how lucky I was! I wish the same for you....
All my shovels are still in the garage....I'm not tempting fate quite yet.

Well, I'm going to go pick up some sticks for about an hour. That won't even make a dent in my yard! When I get it cleaned up, I'll take pictures of the creek and the back yard and will hopefully remember how to post them! :-)

I'm so busy this week I can't see straight. After Sunday (daughter's bday party and work budget complete) I can breathe again.
I quickly scrolled through the posts I missed and it looks like everyone is doing ok! I hope so.
The real reason I popped in was to extend an invitation to you all. We are having a party on May 2nd to celebrate my end of treatment and to thank everyone who helped out during (lots of neighbors and friends brought over meals, watched the kids, etc). Anyway, you guys helped emotionally, so you are of course, invited. May 2nd - 6pm. If you don't have my address from Laura's addy list, just PM me. Please let me know if you are coming as we are expecting a big group and plan on catering. So, we need a good count.
I'll try to check in later this week. Keep smiling everyone!

Hi all! Back from paradise. :sun: Regrettably, we had to return to real life.
Our flight out to Dallas was badly delayed and it looked like we wouldn't make our connection- which would have meant staying overnight in Dallas and losing a day of vacation. So Sharon, who has premier status, got on the phone and managed to get us on a flight going through Miami instead. We couldn't get our luggage diverted, so we didn't have our luggage delivered until the 2nd day, but it was not going to make it there anyway. At least this way we would arrive in Belize the same day. AND, as a bonus, we were upgraded to first class flying to Miami! I've never flown first class with meal service. It was wonderful- I fully enjoyed the hot towels, food, and cocktails!
Belize was marvelous. We had great weather- despite the predications at weather.com it never rained at all! The places we stayed at were fabulous. To tell the truth, we probably spent too much staying at Jaguar Paw- but it was a wonderful place and the restaurant chefs were fabulous! Only 16 rooms in the resort, so you got extra special treatment.
We had 4 days in the jungle at Jaguar Paw Resort. The first day we trekked to the ruins of [URL=http://www.caracol.org/index.php]Caracol[/URL] , a Mayan City in Belize and clambered all over the buildings and temples. It was only 69 miles away, but it was an all day trip because of the rough condition of about 40 miles of the road. It took us 3 hours to get there and 3 hours to get back! We had 4 hours at the site and really enjoyed it.
One of the reasons we stayed at Jaguar Paw is because the famous Belizan cave tubing of the Caves Branch river is on their property. That kind of balanced out some of the additional expense. Other tour groups pay bigger prices to come on site. We had a very reasonable priced guided tour, then our neighbor, John, and my hubby spent some extra hours for the next couple of days doing some of their own tubing (once you know the way into the caves, it's not dangerous- more like your own version of a lazy river and easy rapids). John even took his snorkeling gear down to the caves.
The resort also had an aerial canopy zip line, which was great fun! I swallowed my semi-fear of heights for that one. LOL.
After the jungle, we flew into San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, via a puddlejumper. Small planes are not my favorite thing and it didn't help that they made two unscheduled stops! Not only did the flight take 3 times as long, but that meant 3 take-offs and 3 landings, all within a 45 minute period. I was glad to step on land again.
I spent the next couple of days just chilling on the beach and shopping while my hubby and neighbors scuba dived. We tried different restaurants and foods, but the best food on the island actually turned out to be at our hotel, Banana Beach. Almost as good as Jaguar Paw.
The day before we left, we had an all day tour for a manatee watch/ swimming with the rays/ snorkeling / and beach BBQ. The snorkeling was especially beautiful- lots to see. It was fun, but the boat rides back and forth was really rough. I ended up with a whiplash type pain in my neck and back. Still having problems.
I ate too much and gained 3 lbs. Totally worth it.

Good Morning Ladies,
Finally got back this morning from Boston...4 hour delay at the airport trying to get back to Chicago..bad wind sheers and storms..oh how I hate delays. My trip was so much fun and it was good to see my son. My birthday dinner was amazing and delicious.
From lobster to birthday cake..I feel like I gained a million pounds lol. We went to Newport and saw Marble House..the mansion owned by the Vanerbuildt's..It was beautiful all gold and marble inside. Amazing history behind the house. From there we went on the mansion house walk along the coast line. It was cold and breezy but nice. The East coast has amazing history and beautiful old buildings..didn't get to see everything so I am going back in June.
I see that I missed alot of post while I was gone. This week must be md week. I have my one yr mamo tomorrow..I am not even nervous about having it done...I know it will be fine and things will be good. I put last year behind me and moving forward this year to staying healthy. I realized that this bc is just a disease that needs to be maintained like any other health problem..so I just learn to deal with it and move on to having fun and living life to the fullest.

Your trip to Boston sounded fun. My husband and I are planning on going to Boston in late August/early September. We were there 2 years ago in October when it was cold and rainy and promised ourselves we would go back when it was warm. I am looking forward to it! My prayers will be with you on your 1st year mamo. JanClare...Your vacation to Belize sounded awesome. I went scuba diving in Belize about 5 years ago.

I see Wendy got up late again. Glad you are back Jan Clare and Blackjack....but are you. What a vacation Jan Clare. The water looked heavenly and so clear---seemed like you could see for miles downwards....and what fun to have a hotel named after you.
Wonderful too that you enjoyed yourself Blackjack and ate yourself into oblivion...that's one of my favorite things to do.
Rain here today I think...but into each life as they say. Back to nice tomorrow for our drive to Marion. Then more rain. Just can't win sometimes.
It's spring though........so we will get by.

Good morning ladies. Hope all is well. Welcome back BlackJack and Janclare. Happy, Happy Birthday Blackjack and many, many more... Janclare wow what a vacation. Enjoyed the pictures. Could someone send me some information on the day of sharing. Is it to late to sign up? It's on Sunday so I might be able to attend something for once. On April 21 I am going to Look Good, Feel Better here in Freeport. The first one they have had here in years. Getting involved in Relay for Life has been an awesome experience. Meeting alot of nice people. I am going to be doing the luminary bags and they want to do an blurb on me in the paper. Hey a Star is born.

Hey Birthday Girls!!!!! Hope you are enjoying....
I have been up and doing since 6am...and I can now say all my bathrooms are painted. Nothing else....but I did finally do the guest bath today. I hate painting. And I am tired....funny how such a little room takes soooo much time!
JanClare...haven't had a chance to check out the pics but I bet they are wonderful. Blackjack...I was in Boston many years ago and truly enjoyed the city.
