KristinFro that's tough. I know my surgery was supposed to be at 4pm but they ended up bringing me in to change at 2pm Don't remember what time I was actually wheeled into surgery but it had to be at least after 3. I don't know how I managed it but I didn't have a headache. I think I ate a lot the night before. They could take you early. People cancel or for some reason they can't move forward with surgery for medical reasons.

Thanks for the tip, Lynn! They still make pixie sticks? LOL. Would a tiny bit of regular sugar work as well?
lago, That's what I'm hoping for. I have to be there at 3 for pre-tests (haven't had a period since February, but they want to do a pregnancy test ). Maybe they'd take a bribe to get me in earlier? Kidding... maybe. )

Kristen...good luck on your exchange surgery tomorrow. Sorry it is scheduled so late. Things do happen.... Just FYI, last week I had an appt with my PS and he was running soo late. Why? Because his first surgery patient (BMX and reconstruction) for the morning woke up and drank a whole can of soda before coming to the hospital! What was she thinking? He said they had to wait a minimum of 6 hours for her surgery and they were unsuccessful at moving other surgeries up because no one else was ready to go. Soooooo, you just never know.
My drain sprung a leak over the weekend right up at up at the top so he had me come in today and have it removed. YES!0 -
Kristen: Good luck tomorrow. I will be thinking of you. I am looking forward to seeing the article. Be sure to post the link as well.

So do you think Kristen is hungry yet Kristen just thinkin about ya.
What is that white stuff on the grown. This weekend I was powerwalking with a short sleeve shirt. Today I'm in a puffy vest, gloves and a headband to cover my ears. I want a few more weeks of fall!

I always get a caffeine withdrawal headache before surgeries. Tell your nurse and the anesthesiologist will shoot you up with something good!

Thank you, ladies! I got home about 10:30 last night. I'm hurting this morning, but not as bad as with the mastectomy. Did any of you have fat transfers (lipo) with your reconstruction? I find my abdomen hurts just as much as my chest this morning. I can't wait to see the finished product, too, but I have to stay wrapped up until I see the PS on Friday.

I had fat transfer twice. Once tummy/love handles but he couldn't find enough so next time thighs. I found those area hurt more than the chest. Just wait too. In a few days you'll look like you got beat in and out of a gang but you will feel much better.
They will change a lot over the next several months. They will drop and "fluff" a bit in time.

Thanks, lago! I tried to peek at them, but there's some blood that dried to the gauze and I didn't want to pull on it. I'm anxious to see how they turned out!

Although the world is full of suffering,
it is full also of the overcoming of it.
My optimism, then, does not rest on the absence of evil,
but on a glad belief in the preponderance of good
and a willing effort always to cooperate with the good,
that it may prevail.

Timbek I hope all is good for u let us know.
Kristen my gf's sister had that done and she did say her tummy hurt more but after a while she was very happy with the results. So it'll be good. And I hope for u too to feel better.

I might have told u this but I forgot. I went out to lunch with my gf yesterday and we were leaving and she went to the bathroom, so I was putting my jacket on strugling a little with te sleeves and my pants fell down--Of course I had my ugly depends on, so I was glad she wasn't there--she would have felt so embarrased--but I just pulled my pants up normally and was laughing.
