Thanks Timbuktu......still trying to figure out how to get just the quote in without the additions ( as in >font> ) but hopefully until I do..............just glad there isn't anything else there to be a distraction.
Hope you are all having a gorgeous Fall day like we are here.
Peace and love

Hi ladies,
It is a cool but beautiful day here in Oswego, Il. I have not been on this sight for a while but am trying to catch up with all the posts.
Hope everyone has a great week0 -
Chicago Marathon today.
Andrea is on the planning committee for Strides Against Breast Cancer with me. Her mom had breast cancer and died when she was a teen. Michele we all know as BJ. Khitam is 2x cancer survivor (not breast) and was running with Imerman's Angels I somehow missed Michele this year. The tracking didn't work so well. They gave you the info after they had already passed… not exactly helpful0 -

You have choice. You can select joy over despair. You can
select happiness over tears. You can select action over apathy. You can select growth over stagnation. You can select you. And you can select life. And it's time that people tell you you're not at the mercy of forces greater than yourself. You are, indeed, the greatest force for you. ~~~~~~LeoBuscaglia0 -

Love these last quotes, Jackie!!!0 -
Happy that they mean something to you. Still trying to learn how to post without the "extra's" that have been showing up. If all else fails....I'll just have to start typing them in by hand so to speak.
Rained here today, but mainly during the time I was working. Much cooler now and sounds like we may not get much more warm weather if at all. Dh has a bit of control going just now as to the leaves coming down but they are in the slow stage yet..................one of these days when we harried and not paying as much attention we will look out to deep leaves on all two acres.
Hoping you all had a wonderful day and remember to choose well.
Peace and love

Love is something you and I must have.We must have it because our
spirit feeds upon it.We must have it because without it we become
weak and faint.Without love our self-esteem weakens.Without it
our courage fails.Without love we can no longer look confidently at the world. We turn inward and begin to feed upon our own personalities, and little by little we destroy ourselves. With it we are creative. With it we march tirelessly. With it, and with it alone,
we are able to sacrifice for others.

Hope is wanting something so eagerly that—in spite of all the evidence that you’re not going to get it—you go right on wanting it.And the remarkable thing about it is that this very act of hoping produces a kind of strength of its own.

When we recognize that nothing has to go right for us to be happy, that people do not have to behave for us to love them, our walk home can be surprisingly simple. We have enormous power not to manipulate the world, but to be happy and know inner peace.

Morning everyone. I have resorted to copying down the quote and typing it in after as I really do want to have it appear free of any un-intended words or marks. Just clean and easy to read.
I don't mind doing this or perhaps I should say my desire to have it be easy and nice to read right now is far stronger. Hopefully with some more information, work and practice ( might include a ton of patience here too ) I will re-learn how to get this in almost all the time without extra not wanted goodies.
I hope you all have a wonderful and fabulous Friday.
Peace and love

You too Jackie. Thanks again for the quotes, it's an expression of your loving nature, which brightens everyone's day!0 -
Happy Friday everyone! I hope all of you amazing, pretty ladies are feeling well. For those still in treatment and recovering from surgeries....hang in there! We got your backside and are here for you! Sending healing and healthy vibes to all!
What is everyone up to this weekend? We have family visiting from out of town so we are heading into the city with them tomorrow. Should be fun in the cold/rain! Blech! Oh well. All is well here. Still raising funds for next weekends Strides walk...there is still time to join us even if you don't raise a ton of money. There are a few of us walking that day and we would love to have more of you join us.
I have no new updates. Still dealing with bone density issues but I feel OK. Our exchange student is amazing. We adore her and she has fit into our family perfectly. We are feeling very blessed! I enjoyed doing all of the homecoming shopping stuff with her. It's fun to have a daughter for a year! Not much else going on here.....boring is good though!!!
Hope you all have a fab weekend! We should plan a lunch again soon! Would love to see some of you.0 -
mdg..... An exchange student sounds like so much fun! Thanks for raising funds for our cause. I know how good it makes you feel to do that because I always do the Peoria Walk and golf in two or more Golf for the Cures, one which I co-chair. Sometimes I worry about where the money really goes because I'd like to see more of it go to research but I figure every little bit helps. Thanks again!0 -
Hi everyone had to Pop in to say that.
Jackie no matter how u'r posts turn out we get them and the time u use to always seem to find the right one--they ,mean a lot to all of us Thank you.0 -
MDG- Ive been waiting to find out if I would be scheduled to work on the day of the walk before getting back to you. Unfortunately I have to work and of course with all the FMLA and Dr. appts I couldn't request it off. I will be there in spirit, hopefully I can make it next year!0 -
cateyz2 We will be doing the walk again next year don't worry.
Sorry I've been MIA. Between work, volunteer planning committee, applying for jobs and trying to fund raise I've been swamped. The survivor gift this year is awesome… well I am biased. I picked it out. If you come to the walk visit the survivor tent and get your survivor gift and sash.
Just to let you know our team is doing well. We are in the top 5, but we are the smallest team. We are the only team that has 3 of our members in the top 12 fundraisers (and one of those doesn't count because it's a group not an individual). Matter a fact none of the other teams has even 2 in the top 12. We have raised $5,129 so far. Remember the site is up till the end of December. We can continue to raise money after the walk so feel free to ask your friends to donate to our team. After all the team is named after this thread.0 -

With everything that has happened to you, you can either feel sorry for yourself, or treat what has happened as a gift. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You choose.
