I'd help you serve the dinner, but I have a cramp in my foot. Foot in Mouth Gotta sit down now. I'll just be over here admiring Dealer Dan.

Maybe we'd all like to go boating and bring Dealer Dan? Love to see him swim (wink, wink). Let's load the boats on the RAMPS and go! But then again, don't know if I want to be seen in a swim suit!

That is a smart idea, 2ta, I love boating. And boy can I relate to the swimsuit apprehension. Let's stop at the surf shop and get some cute cover-ups.

Oh yes, not excited about being seen in my swimsuit, unless of course I cover-up with tarps!

rofl, Wahine! You are a good sport for joining us, and I'm sure you won't need a tarp! We'll find you a cute grass skirt instead. You can teach us to hula dance.

Wow, step away from here from a little bit and its just hopping!

Would love to learn how to hula dance! Beside the tarps and grass skirt I will need some PROPS to hold me up as I seem to be uncoordinated these days.

@2TA, I'm sure we'll all be able to learn to dance the hula, because we have Wahine to show us the ropes! And as long as we're going Hawaiian, let's have a luau for the dads & grads, instead of the steaks.

Wahine, how difficult is it to learn to dance the hula? Will I need to bring a SPARE grass skirt along?

My grandma (it was her grandpa that invented the ukulele, my g'greatgrandpa) used to like to play the uke and I would dance the hula for her in her living room. I am sure I did it very poorly, but it made her happy! I'm gonna post here when I can, but am typing through tears right now, as my DD had more bad news from another cancer dr yesterday. Breaks my heart. Hugs to you all, this is a GREAT diversion, so I will try to join in and be silly when I can, ok? This is not the forum to post this, but I have been on here with some of you for a long time, so thought you might want to know. Hugs, Kathy

Kathy, sending (((BIG HUGS))) for you and your daughter. It is hard enough dealing with this ourselves, but the hard parts are when we see someone we love having to go through it, too.  Wishing you well and prayers for your daughter.

Kathy... Am praying that God SPARES your daughter any further difficulties along her cancer journey, that she's on her way to wellness. Sending love and hugs to you and your family!

Thank you, all of you, for your prayers, hugs, and concerns. Today is her 38th birthday, so her younger sister is driving up with a couple of her kids, to celebrate with her tonight. Then they have a 10-12 hr drive back home in the early am. They should be here any minute. It wasn't so bad with my bc dx, but it sure scares you when its your child. AND the cancer she has is so unknown....lots more scares, and more drs till they decide what path she needs to take. HOPE she will go out of town for other opinions.

@ wahine, I wish you and your daughter all success in finding a treatment plan for her. I hope the doctors reach a consensus soon about what to recommend.

(the last two words had six letters, and scares uses S twice, so I dropped one S, changed one other letter, and rearranged to make "reach").

Thanks Curveball for noticing! Had the singular version in my head but thoughts get mixed up sometimes....

@2TA, I've accidentally made a six-letter word myself at least once. Do you have a new word? I hope I haven't painted us into a corner with reach.

No, wasn't painted into the corner. Started on this, then DD came home (for a couple days), she hadn't eaten so offered to make her dinner.... Then, as often happens, other things came up.

So glad you pointed out my error. In general, am a rule follower, hate to break the rules (except for driving over the speed limit). So much happening this past couple of weeks, don't know which end is up! Trying to keep busy so I can't think about surgery in 2 weeks: relocating parents (they lived 250 miles away, will be only 35), looking for a new job/career, trying to get my disaster of a house organized (long story there), just found out an hour ago that DD MAY be moving back home, ran around town today paying bills ("D"H wants to manage finances and doesn't have a clue!)... Went out to a meeting tonite, when I came home thought DH would CHEER me for good work for today (resume updating, bill paying, cleaning... on 3 hours sleep no less), but just got criticized instead. Took everything I had not to engage.... kept my mouth shut instead.  Must be tired as I'm rambling.... Good night all! Yell  (love having smileys on the computer I don't use because it's inconvenient!)

OOPS, I didn't notice the 6-letter word either, I just made a word from it....lol.

OMG 2ndtime, your life just got a million times more hectic! Would be nice if your DH would reach out and give you a big hug, but more often than not, men are clueless. Hope you were able to sleep well last night! I love your picture in your avatar, very nice!

It's probably a good thing I never married. I tend to respond to criticism, even implied criticism, by getting defensive. I don't know if I'd ever be able to let it just go by and not react. I'm sure that wouldn't be conducive to a harmonious marriage.

2ta, whoa that's alot on your plate. I hope your DH will wake up and treat you better.  Hugs to you and I hope you have a better day today.

Thanks, Jane! I hope so too. The way he acts, it just TEARS me up inside.

Curveball, makes me wonder: I did so well before getting married mid-30's, if it weren't for my DD......

    Wahine, how are you doing?

Hope things are settling into place, 2ta....yeah I know, for us women, marriage is very over rated!

(I think the men have it the best, with all that WE do for them and the family!)

I'm hanging in there, will know more late Thursday, then if all is ok for awhile, we leave on a trip on Friday.

Ya know, maybe I can TRACE some of my frustration back to the marriage and family. At least I had a say how things should be when it was just me.

I agree....in fact sometimes I wish I had a crane to help get my DH off of the sofa! LOL. He does play racquetball 2x a wk for exercize, but doesn't realize all those hours w/ computer on lap and watching tv will undo all the good from the r'ball. Sheesh........

You could find a crate and box up all his electronics? But, that might start a battle and we wouldn't want that!

Oh my, just stopping by. Another busy day (yesterday spent ALL day with dr appts, pre-op testing).... I've lost TRACK and will need to go back and re-read posts. Off and running (that's why I thought of "track"?) this morning. Will try to check back later. Have a great day ladies!

Hope all your appts went well yest, 2ta! I was ready to color my hair a few min ago and *waaaaaahhhh* I am out of color so going to run errands in the car and let my DH run his errands in the truck. Yes, I hope everyone has a good day too!

Wahine, don't you just hate it when you run out of something? Grrrrr...by now, you could be done. How did it turn out?

Thanks, W, the appts went well, just a lot of running around. Love that my PS and staff takes time with me (and others), but it got me behind yesterday. MO's nurse forgot to tell me back in Dec to return in one month after starting Anastrozole (I call it my nasty pill as it causes so many SE's), it wouldn't have gotten so back (I keep a detailed notebook of appts and showed them there was nothing written about 1-mo check).

After chest x-ray asked tech how many metal clips I have on new side as a result of node removal. We counted 7 on old side (complete removal of all axillary nodes before SNB), none with SNB on new side.

Have errands for the rest of today so didn't want to lose TRACK of the word I have selected. Enjoy Tuesday everyone!

That's a good trick to keep a notebook for appts. My son missed his orthodontist appt yesterday because I forgot to write it on the kitchen calendar.  Grrr, good thing we found a convenient time on Thursday.
