G&T with lots of lime is a fave summer quaff, as is a cold beer (Leinenkugle's Canoe Paddler) but today I'd like a light & refreshing white wine. PINOT Grigio for me please.

Sounds good and refreshing, Badger. When this train stops at the next big city, let's get off and PAINT the town red!

Eat drink & be merry sounds like fun but let's start hydrating now so we don't FAINT from the heat.

Getting back to the gin and tonic favorites, I've found that the new Bombay Sapphire recipe has a TAINT sour note I do not like.

(For real, the gin maker changed my favorite gin recipe and now I'm on a search for a new one. So far in my price range I like Tanqueray, but will keep tasting :)

Yes, stop buying the gin with new recipe. Otherwise you give them TACIT approval of the change.

(Tanqueray is my fave gin. Try it with Squirt. We used to drink gin & Wink. Anyone remember Wink?)

I wonder if there is a genetic TRAIT for alcohol preferences?

This Wink drink is new to me or I've lost too many brain cells from the alcohol!

Maybe... I found a prohibition-era recipe for bathtub gin in an old trunk in the ATTIC of my grandparents' house.

I had not noticed a formula change in the Bombay Sapphire. I will have to sip some and see.

I did find a rare version called Bombay Sapphire East with hints of lemongrass and peppercorn added. I decided to buy it and give it a TRIAL taste test.

    It was very smooth!

mye, you are welcome here! We all get confused from time to time.

I'm going to do a bridge word to get us back on track.

    Has anyone tried ARTIC vodka?

If you are recommending Artic vodka, then I will order a CRATE of it from my local shop.

I'm not familiar with Artic vodka, but if it's RATED high, I would give it a try. Do you drink it straight or with a mixer?

I am in TEARS if I've run out of tonic and must revert to drinking it straight. Luckily as I write this I have my vodka and tonic on my desk, so no tears today.

That's good, otherwise we'd have to TREAD lightly around you all day. ;-)

You are right, Badger. We may all be IRATE without tonic. I'll run to the market and stock up!

OK great, if you're not back in an hour I'll run a TRACE on you by pinging your cell.

That is such a great feature. I use "Find My Friends" to TRACK my family all the time.

Sounds useful but I don't have that app. Do you find that it RACKS up charges on the phone bill?

I have two different versions. iPhone is the one app that is free, but requires everyone to turn it on. It is extremely accurate. I can tell if you are in the front yard or back. But, my one son doesn't have an iPhone due to his job. I also have an app with my cell phone company that TACKS on $6 per month. And it is not nearly as accurate for placement.

Those extra charges can add up but if you want the service, you're kind of STUCK paying the bill.

That BACKS up my claim that cell phone providers charge too much!

I just looked for a new cell phone, but needed SACKS of money for what it costs per year.

I can complete TASKS so much faster with some of the phone apps.

If you told me in 1980 that I would be able to access information from around the globe in the palm of my hand, I wouldn't have believed it. My biggest worry is hoping the battery LASTS long enough.

The technology is amazing. What a BLAST to have a Dick Tracy wrist radio, inspiration for the Apple watch. Whoda'thunkit?

I'm at a STALL in my weight loss. Maybe an iWatch would be a good thing to keep me motivated. It's like a higher tech fitbit. But, they are kinda pricey.

Are you STILL doing the low-carb (ketogenic) diet? That was working well for you so maybe just a plateau.
