Love all the feedback and various point of view. This season has been very entertaining. It will get more competive now that all the drama queens are gone.0

OMG, I saw a tape of Kate yesterday (the day after she got the boot) on one of the early AM shows here on the east coast. Being as she is in CALIFORNIA, she had to get up awfullly early to chat about, yup, HERSELF. She feels her kids will be devastated. Frankly, until Jon turned into a nut, I thought he was the better parent. And Tony, Kate's partner, said they had a lot of laughs together. Bless him! I don't think so..........Sue

Sue - I'm sure talking about herself has to be her favorite topic. I feel bad for the eight kids having to deal with her daily...yikes!

Odalys, am I BAD, huh? Saw an ad on TV last night for DWTS and it said something like, "Now the competition really begins" or something along those lines. Or really heats up. I forgot which.
I can hardly (sarcasm here) WAIT for Kate's new show where she "counsels" other families. I think you'd maybe would have to google "a twist of Kate" to get all the riveting details. HAHA. Sue

Sue - You are funny. I am going to pass on her new show. There is no way I will waist any of my precious time watching it.

Odalys. I WILL WATCH THE FIRST EPISODE.....a twist of Kate. Sometimes I need a good laugh. Boy, TLC transformed her. She was not very attractive (of course I, personally, am so SICK AND TIRED of being on the cover of Glamour magazine every month, hahaha) when the show first began and then PRESTO! boob job (not like the boob job I had.......mastectomies), that fabulous tummy tuck, etc. I need an Arimidex major overhaul liposuction to my entire abdominal area and maybe, just maybe, to my big fat A. Oh, but my butt was big to begin with, and I attribute the tummy to having twins (yeah, like 36 yrs ago) but the midriff bulge is new for goodness sakes. I bought some support underwear as I have a big formal wedding to go to. It is like BRUNDERWEAR........come from the top of my thighs to the prosthetic bra. I was in a cold sweat in the dressing room trying to get it on. I think I am off topic here.......but thought I would share my wonderful body self esteem. Sue

I heard her upcoming new show " a twist of Kate" is supposed to be about single moms and the challenges they face. With a show like that, she'll probably do very well, as it's something she now knows a lot about (unlike dancing!)

AWB, I hear you but I frankly do not think of Kate as a mother. I think the kids brought her fame. I really loved the show when she appeared as a harried housewife. Now, not so much. I will be happy if you can prove me wrong. IT IS ALL ABOUT KATE.
I wonder how many single moms she will counsel. She is very wealthy; most single moms are certainly not.Oh, and I adored her kids! Except for poor Mady who certainly has some "issues" on, maybe, never forgiving her parents for having other kids. I have seen many "first borns" who seldom forgive their parents for having that second kid.
I am happy to chat about it. Hope we can still discuss the kate topic on DWTS, as the poor girl cannot dance and I found the judges, for some reason or another, to be rather kind to her. Sue

Sue - LOL!!!! If you were sweating bullets on the dressing room, do you think you will be able to wear that girdle for hours? Oh the things we do to look good.

I finally found the link to the rules:
http://abc.go.com/shows/dancing-with-the-stars/about-voting
THE PROCEDURE FOR ELIMINATING COUPLES:
Each week every couple receives points from the judges and votes from the public. For every couple we work out the share they got of the points given by the judges on the night, and the share they got of the public's votes on the night and we add these two shares together. The couple with the lowest combined total is eliminated from the show.
For example if couple A, B and C receive 38, 26 and 14 points from the judges, we calculate what share these points represent of the total awarded by the judges on the night. In this case the judges gave 78 points in total, and each couples' share of 78 points breaks down as follows: 38= 48.72% of78, 26= 33.33% of 78, 14= 17.95% of 78. Let's suppose that when the public votes are tallied, each couple has the following shares: A= 20%, B=40%, C=40%. To determine who's eliminated we combine these two shares for the total:
Couple A: 20+48.72%= 68.72%
Couple B: 40+33.33%= 73.33%
Couple C: 40+17.95%= 57.95%
In this case, the bottom two couples would be A and C, and C would be eliminated.--------------------------------
I hope Pam will not be eliminated this week. She is a good student - respect her teacher, never argue or give him a hard time (the two of them have the most harmonic working relationship); works hard and really has the talent to capture her character each week.

Bye Jake! Loved the tears at the end of the show when you got the boot, and also LOVED looking at Vienna's oh so sad face. Actually, I didn't think he danced too badly but there is something about his smooth talking that annoys me.
ODALYS , I saw Kate interviewed on one of the local shows. She said she cannot bear to watch the show since she got voted off. It is too sad for her as she loved all the contestants and "celebrities." A comment on another news show locally was......how does one become a celebrity? By walking on the moon, not by being on a reality TV show. Kate had that "poor me" face on during her interview as she was leaving Toys R Us. Probably bought bribed for those little kids of hers. And they are going to be back on TV........not on "a twist of Kate" but on another reality show called "kate plus 8". There must be an easier way to make money to support your kids.....

Sue - I agree, there was something about Jake that annoyed me too. He came across as a fake. As for Kate, bawahahhahahah.....so the show is still all about her huh? OMG - she is beyond help. The lady has serious issues. I laughed when she said she is a working mom with a career. Bawahahahaha....what career? I feel bad for the kids.
Mei - Thanks for sharing the rules. Sometimes I think it's a popularity contest all about the ratings like when Cloris L. was there she kept coming back every week.
I agree Pam is doing so much better. She has toned it down a notch and never argues with her partner.
As for next one to be going home.... I think Neesy will probably be voted off this next. What do you guys think?

I like Neecy but I am afraid the others are out dancing her. I think that Evan has a bit of an advantage from skating, he had to of taken dance. He just seems so dang nice and likable and a great dancer. Erin is improving a lot also. Will see if Max can keep his shirt on!

I have no idea who will go home next. I, personally, am sometimes shocked at the low scores some of the judges give to dancers who I think did fine. I think they told Neicy to quit the comedy when she dances so I wonder if that is a sign that she is next. Evan did fine and didn't get great scores in my opinion.
When they opened the show this wk, or did I hear this somewhere else, there was a question as to how many people would watch now that Kate was gone. They have got to be kidding! The ratings were UP after she got the boot. I think they were very kind to her. She is such a drama queen.
Erin was outstanding ......We shall have to tune in next wk.......Sue

Neecy is doing good and improving every week but I don't think her skills are up to the level of the other 'stars'. I like how much Erin is improving. I think I will start pulling for her as the underdog dancer.

Sue - Yes, I think I heard Tom make that comment at beginning of the show. I too thought he was joking.
I am looking forward to some serious dancing now.

WOW! What a show last night! What did you ladies think of all the great dancing?
And are there any "romances" going on? What do you think? (Cheryl certainly has some nice jewelry)

Hi Sue. Wow, wow, wow!!!! Love it!!!! Pam and Neicy have really improved...don't you think? In my opinion, Neicy has better rythm and technique than Pam. It will be sad to see one of them go home tonight because they have both improved so much and seem to really be enjoying their dancing. Chad does seem like a "gentle giant". He is dancing with such grace now.
Rumors have it Cheryl and Chad, and Max and Erin are romantically involved. Who knows at this point. They do spend a lot of hours a day dancing. Max and Erin make a cute couple. She seems to understand his ego and childish behavior.
I can't wait to see who goes home tonight.

Because of other things going on last night, I only saw Neicy dance and the two group dances. I agree that Neicy is improved so much since the beginning. And the group dances were wonderful. I am going to try and watch last nights show on the computer later today. I have no guess as to who is going home tonight.

Weren't Max and Edyta engaged at one time?????????? They both still are professional dancers on the show and I wonder how all that works. Oh, boy, I have WAY too much time on my hands, huh?
I agree with you ladies: Niecy and Pam have improved a lot. At least we don't have to watch clod hopper Kate anymore. I am bad! Sue

Well, I am not surprised it was Pam this week. If they eliminate two couples this week, I think it will be Niecy and Chad. It's getting down to the last three weeks of competition. Wow, time flies.

It should be a tight competition tonight. I am sure no one wants to go home.
0 -
Everyone did so well last week, it will be hard to decide from now on who needs to go home and who deserves to stay on another week.
Sheila

I agree Sheila. I think this is the first season there is no one couple that stands out from the beginning. The ones standing have all improved so much.

I vote for the one who made *me* smile.

OK, I have to admit I have a little hearing issue. I think I am basically deaf to tell you the truth and wear hearing aides. But not in bed as they squeal if I put my head on my pillow. They are digital and were, of course, excluded from my health insurance plan.
SO.......what did EVAN say that made the audience kind of groan?????? I can hear noise but don't always figure out the words.

Well, if people voted based only on the dancing, much as I like her, I think Niecy should go home. However, I suspect people are still voting based on their favorite, so you never know. I thought the bit with Nichol crying last night was a little contrived - I think she fears that she won't get the votes either because 1) everyone assumes that she will be okay and votes for their favorite personality or 2) people think it isn't fair for her to be competeing against totally inexperienced stars. Even Cheryl seemed to toss a little dig at Nichol when she made the statement about a star with no experience improving every week and isn't that what DWTS is all about. That being said - I really think Derek is a genius - it amazes me what he can come up with. As ever, JMHO.

Sue - I'm trying to remembet what Evan said but nothing really stands out. When did he made the statement?
Anne - Derek is so talented. I like that he manages to have fun and make us smile all while being very focused and competitive.

Great show tonight. I loved all the Mambo dancing. Sad to see Neicy go. She was a riot!

I knew it was going to be Niecy. She was very gracious and funny while getting the "boot."
ODALYS, I thought Evan made a remark while be criticized after his first dance the other night. Maybe I didn't miss anything..........
