I agree about the performance aspect and telling a story. It's a whole package. I think for purposes of scores they need to reduce the number of bars they're not dancing in order to maximize their scores. Unfortunately, they have to work around the judges and please them while still staying true to their own performance.

I am so disappointed with this season - they should NEVER have a politician or the spouse of a politician or a child of a politician as a contestant. The voting from the public is clearly political. The votes are not for Bristol, they are for Sarah Palin's daughter and it makes me so mad that the more talented celebs are being voted off. If the go the political route next season, I am done with the show. As ever, JMHO.

Wow, great dancing tonight. I thought Bristol's paso was by far her best dance. I love to see Kyle dance. As Bruno said, a true bundle of joy! Jennifer and Brandi are so talented! They make it look so easy.

Did anyone else have trouble voting on line last night? I kept getting "cannot find that page" anytime I tried to vote - I had to giveup.

All the dancers did exceptionally well last night but I think the Mirrorball Trophy belongs to Jennifer and Derek especially after last night! I can't believe the moves Jennifer can do with the injuries she has. She really must want to win! Thank goodness Derek is so superb, he can protect her from any more injuries hopefully.

ADK---I had trouble too. Gave up and went to bed thinking I would vote this morn bit woke up in the night so did it then. Got right through. The computer voting is open until--I think it is 11 am pacific.

I was a bit surprised the producers wrote in all the controversy surrounding the scores Bristol is getting and how long she has lasted on the show. I bet they are getting an ear full. Too bad I was not able to vote for Jennifer as I wanted to. Boohoo! She and Dereck were amazing! I wonder who will go home tonight? It better not be Jennifer or Brandi cause if they do I will be sending the producers a piece of my mind. Oh wait, after chemo I can't afford to give away any pieces of my mind. I better just stick to not watching the show next season.
Oh, did you guys notice Mark was not as creepy and all over Bristol as much this week. Could he have been reading all the comments about his behavior? Also, he had on black nail polish and eye liner again. What is up with that?
Can't wait until tonight's show.....I'll be logging in at the same time just in case anyone wants to chat about the show. Talk you then.

That's it - I won't even bother to watch the finale. I am totally disgusted with the grizzly mammas. Shame on them. How dare they bring politics into a dance competetion. I am sick to my stomach.

I am sick to my stomach too, Anne. That is it...I am never having another cup of tea ever! I had a bad feeling about this season the minute Sarah Palin got involved. This show should be about dancing! I am so angry right now I am seeing double.

I AM JUST FURIOUS! It is supposed to be a DANCING contest!!!! There is NO way in Hell that Palin could EVER dance like Brandy and she gets to go to the finales!! That proves it is just a big popularity contest and NOT as to who is the best dancer! I would not be surprised if Palin ends up winning over my beloved Derek and Jennifer. If she does, I will be writing letters until my fingers can't type any more! Imagine what it must feel like for Brandy to be such a superb dancer and have the daughter of the Grizzly Queen win because her mom knows more people who could vote for her. I am SO angry, I will not waste my time on that farce again! Did you see the look on Derek's face when he realized what was going on?? The finale can be a farce so the others may as well go home. If the winner of the finale is left up to a public vote, Palin will end up winning it. Mamma Grizzly must be paying people to vote for her , IMO! OH.........what a pile of crap!

You all have summed it up perfectly! What a crock of crap!!! There is absolutely NO way that Bristol should have won over Brandi--popular vote be damned. Think DWTS is going to take a LOT of heat over this one--bet somebody is scrambling to cover their butt. I actually thought I misunderstood so rewound and had to hear it for a second time. Just could not believe it!!!
I'll watch the ending but with a sour taste in my mouth.......

Why would the show even invite someone whose parent is in politics to be ON the show? If it were me, and I knew that people were just voting for me because of my mother, I would be really, really embarassed!! Surely she can not think that she is a better dancer, can she?

Ruth, I was thinking the same thing this morning. I would be so embarrassed knowing I don't deserve to be there. We've seen it happen before, but this time it has taken on a life all on it's own. I do think this is a turning point for this show. What kind of message is this sending to the other contestants. Jennifer is working so hard and has done so good, but it may not even matter. If I were Bristol I would thank all my fans, but would make it right by stepping down. She has to be delusional to think she deserves to be there after being in the bottom for 6 weeks and Brandy always being on the the top of the list. Make it right Bristol...go home!

When Kyle made it to the finale I SCREAMED!!! I thought he would be going home. My kids came running to see what happened. My absolute joy was short lived when Brandy got sent home!!!
I am totally disgusted. I agree with the rest of you. No politicians or politicians' kin on the show. I too think that Bristol should be extremely embarrassed. She doesn't deserve to still be there. Yes she's improved and yes she's worked hard but she should have been eliminated weeks ago.
I watched Jimmy Kimmel live because I couldn't sleep after watching the farce. He made a good point that maybe people should be voting to vote people off. Don't know if that would work or not though.
Being in Canada I can't vote which is frustrating. I have a very sick feeling that Bristol may well win this season and that would make DWTS a complete joke (if it isn't already). If she wins I won't be watching next season.
Derek's expression was priceless. He knew how wrong it was and maybe he's realizing he and Jennifer could well be next.

Yes, this stunt really cheapens the show and the trophy doesn't it? Dereck's expression was priceless. I too have a sick feeling that Bristol could win over Jennifer just based on votes. I hope people don't get turned off and stop voting. Jennifer needs our vote.

I can't believe that Brandy got voted off. I have been wavering on watching this show (and I've watched it since it first came out) but I think this is my last season of watching it. Bristol has come far but does not belong in the final three that's for sure. Even Dereck knew this was b**s** by his expression. I think the producers have to look at all the backlash on this before they decide who is going to be on next. I really don't think I will be watching this again next season. I will be fuming mad if she wins the trophy.

Totally agree with you all! DWTS has gone from an absolute delight to sickening, and the gracious spin Tom, Maks and others have tried to put on it by saying that audience voting is working is as annoying as the results. I wonder who, if anyone, on the show will be the first to speak the truth? Deanna
