    Blessings,

Would love to hold up the sign, but who knows where they'll seat us (for PIR, which airs Tuesday, I was in the far corner, the one with the obstructed view!) and when or if camera will be on us. I'll be wearing a hot pink sleeveless top with black slacks, not sure what my friend is wearing. I'm so curious what really goes on off camera and what happens with the celebrities in the audience....

Secretly hoping that they keep Val several weeks, she's not the strongest dancer but not the weakest either. Hoping she's the sentimenal favorite for a while. After all, this show isn't supposed to be about the best professional dancers, they're supposed to be amatuers. Also happy to see Jack do so well.

Blessing, Ha, ha, ha, you're SO right about Brooke being similar to an animitronic Disney prop!  Could be true, ABC is owned by Disney, right?  LOL.  Like a Stepford wife!

2d time, I'll be keeping an eye out for you, and please come back with a full report!  Oh, I think Val will be on there a long time, Elizabeth Berkley will shape up to be a fine dancer and it wouldn't surprise me if she even makes it to the semi finals.

Bummer about Bill Nye getting hurt!

Badger I don't have a clue what I'll wear but you know my hair is what stands out!!!

I bet she will be hard on both Derek and Mark, she's known and danced with them both all her life. Was sorry to see the Bill Nye had hurt himself, from experience I can tell you that knee pain hurts like the dickens.....

Thanks for the welcome, Badger! Was thinking of dressing up, but tickets say we have to be there before 3 PM. Probably lots of standing in lines (3 hour time difference: live on East Coast at 8 PM there, 5 PM here, we probably won't be seated till around 4 PM). So, I want to be comfortable. Will need heavy-duty spanx for a fancy dress, so my friend and I decided on standard black dress slacks and nice blouse. Plus, my friend wants us to be up in area around noon so I'm all about comfort.

LOL Maddy, spanx = girdle, doesn't it?

Cheryl has beautiful snow-white hair so that will def. help me find her in the crowd!

Badger, thanks, now I get it! For some reason, I thought HBCheryl had long, red-hair, but I was way off! And yes, spanx are similar to a girdle with softer fabric but its the same principle. So not up for that (was in the audience for taping of Price is Right, 5 hours of standing in lines or sitting on concrete benches in spanx so I could fit into a certain pair of slacks, so uncomfortable, won't do that again).

Cheryl may have had red hair at one time, IDK but she has the personality to carry it off!  Kiss

I'm with you on comfort 1st.  Spanx, no way!  High heels, no thanks!  Comfy shoes a must!

Haven't worn a girdle--or spanks--since pantyhose were invented.Have only worn pantyhose and heels twice since 1990 when we moved to the beach. That was the two times I wore a dress.

OMG we really are sistersSmile last time I wore panty hose they kind of ended at my middle thigh and all I did was hitch em up all night, it's pants or jeans for me or if I wear a skirt I wear sandals.....  Badger yes when I was young I did have red hair.  It's funny, last weekend I went to a play and I was really close to the stage and the lead actress had panty hose on and to be honest it's all I noticed, I kept thinking  "how uncomfortable".  2nd time I'm excited for you for monday.

Tonights show was entertaining, to my surprise.  I especially liked how well Bill Engvall did. I liked it because he has no experience, is older and yet he danced so well! I actually am liking his professional, good pairing. And that Christina who dances with Mark was very fun to watch, too. Never heard of her before DWTS.

Just my opinion, and not to offend anyone, but I never cared for Leah Remini, never watched her TV show.  She's one of those stars that I think, how did she ever become a star, I just don't get the appeal there.  I wasn't a fan of Jack Osborne (and can't Kelly Osborne ditch the purple hair, please?).

Bill Nye was entertaining, but no surprise to see him go.  Valerie might be next, but she looks great.  I loved Karina's and Cheryl's dancing outfits tonight.

Liked the show too and I also liked Christina. There is nobody that I really dislike. Not suprised by the outcome. I will be interested to get 2nds take on it!

Just getting home from LA. It was amazing! The costumes, especially Elizabeth's, Peta's, and Amber's were simply dazzling - TV doesn't come close! Brooke, regardless of what you think of her, is gorgeous (she and Tom were standing right in front of me for opening announcement - you can only see my left shoulder, am wearing hot pink sleeveless top), she is teeny tiny, about the width of my pinkie! Sharon Osbourne was motionless while Jack danced, taking it all in. Jack's wife was seated behind Ozzy, he went over to kiss her a couple times. An adorable little girl ran to Leah during a commercial (her daughter?) and all the dancers were so sweet to her. My friend pointed out how many makeup artists there were and how often they came out. Seems like every break they were touching up Carrie Ann in some manner. No wonder she always looks amazing?

Didn't want to lose my input...

The response to Valerie was so heart warming. Poor Bill Nye looked like he was in so much pain, it's probably a blessing he was eliminated. While we were waiting outside to enter before the performance, Corbin came out outside to shake hands and talk with the crowd. He seems like such a sweet young man.

    Thanks, Divine!

Other fun details: taping was almost like a 3-ring circus: of course there were the dancers to watch, also the other dancers who were watching and being playful off-camera, special guests and watching the crew ready to jump in and set up for the next dance. There were also big monitors for us to see what was being broadcast so I had to watch the show on DVR to see what everyone else saw.

The audience was something else, too: there was a dress code (no jeans, for women - formal attire, for men - button-down shirts). That leaves a lot to interpretation! So many women dressed what I feel is inappropriate: outfits so short/tight they literally had things hanging out and couldn't sit down without being revealing (and yes, some of them got prime seats!). There was also a group of guys wearing white lab coats in support of Bill Nye the Science Guy.

Hey Maddy how exciting, I didn't get home till 8.30 last night and I was sooooo tired. I did watch it on DVR but really only watched half hearted so I could vote, then this morning watched again while I had breakfast (just the dances, fast forwarded through everything else) and I did see a little bit of pink behind TB yeahSmile  Poor Valerie, I get it, you've got it all in your head and your body just doesn't execute.  I'm not really a Leah Remini fan but I love Tony and I thought they did a good job, Christina and Mark were my favourites, that segment with her little girl was just precious.  I'll bet if I wear a short skirt with bits hangin' out I wouldn't get a "prime" seat, yeah I'll say it "age discrimination"Cool

Hate to admit, I was so in awe of everything last night I couldn't judge the dancers. Cheryl, you're so right about Valerie, but the courage she's showing by even being there in the first place is remarkable. She was definitely an audience favorite (they polled people off-camera). About the skimpy dressing: there was one woman who wasn't very young who had the shortest/tightest dress (in a cream-color no less!) and was exposing when she moved/lifted her arms, she was slim, but not a banging body by any means. They moved her to the back of the section where Ozzy & Sharon were sitting (opposite the stage). It's amazing to me the lengths some women will go to expose themselves just for attention - and they didn't have the bodies to pull it off either!

Cheryl, can't wait to hear your comments next week!

Loved the inside scoop and looking forward to another dish next week!  Cool

My faves this week were Corbin & Karina, Elizabeth & Val, Brant & Peta (love it when she wears fringe - shake it girl!), Amber & Derek, and Christina & Mark.  What was up with that clown make-up?  Fantastic choreography by all five pros.  I see why Derek won an Emmy for choreography!

Leah & Tony and Jack & Cheryl were OK, Snooki & Sasha did a nice job, but Valerie was not so good.  Gotta give her & Tristan props for getting out there but I predict they'll be next to go.

Not surprised to see Bill N go but he gets major points just for showing up!  I think his lab coat fans are members of Mensa.  Bill E did well in character as the Lone Ranger, yee haw.

Cheryl, have fun raiding the closet to see what's immodest and sparkly!  Wink
