Thanks MrsM for posting the line-up! Right off the bat, I'm rooting for actor Valerie Harper, blue collar comedian Bill Engvall, and science guy Bill Nye.

Once again, what a crazy line-up! Bill Nye the science guy? ha,ha,ha. But good for him.

I don't see Maks in the line-up...but I think watching Val with Elizabeth Berkley will be something to see. Imo, they'll be contenders.

And I always like the football players!

Monday it all begins. I'm looking forward to this season.

Me, too. I'm glad it's been pared down to just one night. There are a few other shows I watch on a regular basis, but I don't like all my evenings being tied to the TV. I think one night will be just right.

Just Mon is OK by me - Tues is date night so I never got to see the second night anyway!

I wonder how the voting will work.
0 -
Yes, Ruth, that'll be interesting. Maybe they just delay it a week, then reveal results the next week on the one show? We'll soon find out...

I don't vote but for those who do, here's a link to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

Looking forward to monday night, one thing I read didn't make sense to me, it said voting was open for you east coasters only, what about us west coasters, I have the app and that's how I usually vote but I actually like to see the performance and choose who to vote for, maybe it's phone only for us......

Ah, Snookie.
Perhaps her participation on DWTS will convince me what a wonderful person and role model she is....
0 -
I'm more worried about her, she now weighs 98lbs, well all that dancing should have her dropping more it might get ugly.... ahhh 98lbs 30lbs less than my fantasy weight

I don't know much about Snooki, tho I've certainly heard of her. I have a feeling she's going to be entertaining. Many times, DWTS brings out a different side to these B celebrities and it can be a nice surprise. So for now, I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt.
It's terrible that only the east coast gets to vote! So odd! I'll be able to vote, but I still don't think it's fair!

I did not get the impression that only the east coast would be able to vote when I read the
FAQ's for this year.Phone voting begins during the show on Mondays, and is open until 60 minutes after the conclusion of that show in your local time zone.
Online voting at both ABC.com and Facebook opens each Monday when the show begins on the East Coast at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) and stays open until 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) the next day. During the season’s final week on Monday, November 25, online voting will open when the show begins on the East Coast at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) and will stay open until 11 a.m. ET (8 a.m. PT) on Tuesday, November 26.

See you all tomorrow!

While waiting in line at Walmart today I picked up on of the gossip rags and there was an article about the "DWTS controversy", I guess Corbin Bleu, a Disney star and that Elizabeth Berkley from Saved by the Bell both have some dance training. We'll see how that pans out.

Whenever I read his name, I see (Chicken) 'Cordon Bleu'......

Me too ruth!

Will be rooting for Valerie Harper and Bill Engvall... Looks like an interesting season!

I have to admit I keep wanting to see Derik with a partner with 2 left feet and no rhythm and see how he does. I sometimes think he could take a sack of patatoes at least to the semi-finals. I suspect he thinks he would take the mirror ball with one.

I am such an idiot, I totally read the voting incorrectly, it's open till 8pm ET the next day not the same day dahhh and Chabba I think you're right he is so darned good he could totally get even me to the semis I am also rooting for Valerie and Corbin Bleu was in High School Musical so yes he can dance and from what I can remember of him doing the rounds on the talk shows when that franchise was hot he's got a nice personality. See you all tomorrow.

So excited for the new season! Priority tix for audience taping 2 weeks from today!

Read an article today that said the show suffered its lowest ratings last season. It suggested that to boost ratings, they should have brought back fan favorites like Maks and Edyta (I always loved her) rather than a continuing list of new professionals. What I really loved about the article is it commented on Brooke saying she's sometimes referred to as "Brooke-bot" because she's like a robot, and they thought her part on the show could be replaced by revolving previous cast members.

Hmmm...just watched Peta and her partner...no more couples running up a flight of stairs and back-and-forth bland banter with Brooke...they just stood there and got comments and scores while standing with Tom B. (Can't spell his last name!). They all seem a little off or a little rusty trying to get into this new groove, but the show's just starting.

I missed half of the first dance...but now am settled in.

Evening ladies - so excited the show is back!

Cheryl Burke's costume--too racy! I don't care for it at all. But I'm liking less of Brooke! And I like that the judges have to give the scores to the contestants as they stand right there. Seems more honest.

Another thing...did Len get a lobotomy or something this summer? Because he seems in such good humor tonight. Makes me wonder if they told him to lighten up with his scoring (you know, all to get ratings up). I mean, he just gave a 9 to Derek and his partner the first night. I can't say that's ever happened. Plus he loved the first dancers, my girl Peta and her partner. Tho I did think Derek and the Glee gal did great (I am a Gleek--in other words, a fan of Glee).

I predict some tens by next week at the rate they're going. Oh, Mrs. M, the Glee gal did great.
Are they leaving Valerie Harper till last?
