Lets conduct our own study on how we all got breast cancer

Uh oh.
I was just remembering that, growing up in NY, I went many times to Shea Stadium and yelled.
"LET'S GO METS!"
I am in SO MUCH trouble.

Oh no - me too!!!! Was a big METS fan. Hmmmmmm, maybe I can blame the club for my bc and get big bucks. My sis is an attorney - doesn't chase ambulances but maybe if I promise her a big cut she'll take them on. I think there's a good case. She wasn't into baseball at all and my other sister went with the Yankees - both older than me and neither has bc. It must be that. Thanks Leah_S, may give you a cut too since you discovered the cause. Okay, the meds must not be working. Maybe some wine???

Class action suit anyone? Of course, with the, um, dryness issues ANY action would be welcome.

In High School, I lived right across the street from and Air Force Base. Then when I was older I would go visit my sister and her hubby in the Air Force, yes it is the Government!!! Of course I can not sue, because I have the BRCA mutation. Oh well maybe the Air Force caused the mutation, Patoo maybe your sister could help with that LOL!!!!!!!

Maybe going braless for so long....dang!

How about microwave ovens? Mine is pretty old, located at breast level and exactly on the side where I stand doing food preparation. Maybe radiation leak?
Or, how about wildlife? Read a report about Mouse Virus causing breast cancer -- no mice around my place but plenty of wildlife and their droppings which I rake up with the leaves (so maybe all that rolling around in the leaves as kids did do some harm).
Since so many cancers have been finally attributed to a virus, it wouldn't surprise me if BC was caused by one, too. But with so much invested in the standard causes (I was only asked if I had family history of bc and whether I smoked or drank alcohol) we'll never get anywhere until someone thinks outside the box (and I hope this thread keeps on going because it's making us all think and have a good laugh as well).

Dang. Jean Nate.
I had a box of the powder that I would use from time to time for YEARS. Only used it up recently, and was wondering if I'd be able to get another.
Better not.

Love's Baby soft dusting powder, dusted my chest until it sparkled! Who'da thunk!

Not only used Love's Baby Soft, but had the t-shirt that said "I'm baby soft" right across the girls...probably the dyes in the t-shirt were carcinogens!!!

Anyone else tuck their cell phone in the bra when they did not have pockets? I did it all the time and tumor lines up perfectly with where I put it. What if this really is all my own fault? :
NO!!! I am going with the military base theory. Lived on one during puberty years. All those microwaves listening in. AHA... it was the Russians.

I know what it was, it was those elastic bands with straps that they told us were training bras and the tissues we stuffed inside of them, had to be.
0 -
I think it was flipping of the boys who teased me about my flat chest

Bigapple, it's NOT the tissues or whatever we stuffed our bras with. IIT'S NOT IT'S NOT IT'S NOT.
I'm very small (size AA) had a single mast and have not bought a form yet (not even sure if they make them small enough) so I've been using stuff I make myself made out of cotton or, yes, tissues.
I am in enough trouble as a former Mets fan.
IT'S NOT THE TISSUES
IT'S NOT THE TISSUES
IT'S NOT THE TISSUES.
and I said this in an earlier post.

LOL Leah! Sure it's not.

At least you had tissues. Like I said before, when you are poor tissues are a luxury. Toilet paper was a necessity so that is what you stuffed with. But, I still think it was the dust raised up from doing housework so this weekend I'm not doing any!!! At least there won't be any recurrence this weekend.

ah yes the dust !!!!! im finished up then on housework for 1 week at least i to dont want a rec urrance that can be my excuse then ill be to sick for house work after that ill be to sick from chemo !! well there we go

Patoo, I like your dust bunnies suggestion, after all it's women who do most of the housework and who knows what viruses we're breathing in when we dust and vacuum (especially with animals at home).
Is anyone actually doing anything about the suggestions put forward?
I've changed from cows milk and soy milk to RICE milk; I've ditched my old microwave and gone back to oldfashioned cooking; I'm using a facemask when I vacuum inside and sweep outside; and I'm opening my windows more often to get rid of any toxic fumes from plastics, etc (even though I'm probably letting in a lot more toxic fumes from outside, LOL).
I've also cut down on sugar (can't cut it out completely, love the stuff) and because of the CORN suggestion I'm changing from corn crackers to rice crackers.
I know, nothing I do may be any help whatsoever but you can't blame a gal for trying,
Also, for those of us with BC in one breast only, have you considered which side of the bed you sleep on in relation to your partner?
0 -
my partner sleeps on my left side and its my right breast that is effected what is your conclusion on that

I came across a nice article on the cause of cancer. I found it fascinating. Search on Google by "cause of cancer" and "Dr. Hanan Polansky" and you'll find it.

Mary Mary is shilling for a product- it is in her other post. I have reported her posts.

Joanneasiata, I think your partner did you wrong by not switching sides occasionally. That way you would have been protected on both sides, not just one. Too late now so stay as you are and continue the protection for your left side. LOL0
-
You're right about the switching sides. | didn't - my dh sleeps on my right and my bc was on my left. So I guess I better takes Patoo's advice and stay put for now.
And forget about doing housework.

Like Leah_S, my partner (now ex) slept on my right and my BC was on my left, so it doesn't surprise me that Joanneasiata has right BC because her partner sleeps on her left! Too bad we married 'breast men', if they were 'leg men' we would be OK.

OMG my DH sleeps on the left side and I have BC on the right breast. Have we finally figured it out??
