Paula, you are the woman when it comes to eye candy. Sure wish I could see the picture as it sounds pretty.
Congrats on the great visit Jo! 6 month reprieve sounds fabulous.
Sherry - I hope the tummy settles down and things work themselves out

Sweet dreams to all my Tammi sisters....

Hi Ladies! I have been 6 months on Tamoxifen and I found out that low WBC is a rare side effect of Tamoxifen. Anyone?

Hi Ladies,
I need to put in an order for a pocket party for tomorrow. I have to go for my follow-up ultrasound on that nasty ovarian cyst. I'm hoping it's shrunk more and they want to just keep watching it, but if not, I have a feeling surgery will be in my future :-( So if you could all hop in to be there will me tomorrow, I'd really appreciate it!!

Hello all, hope everyone is doing well!

Deb - Count me in. I'll be there.

Leeza welcome I'm another TX gal here. Where in Texas are you from? Prilosec has helped the tummy issues with me and tammi. When I had to take a break for my last surgery when I got back on it I took prolosec for a week and then was able to quit taking it.
Ralson that is very interesting about low WBC. Mine was always kinda low anyway but I have been trying all kinds of herbal supplement to get it up and nothing it usually is right below normal.
Deb I'll be in your pocket sista
Tummy issues from Effexor have finally passed. did not need any nausea meds yesterday and today is good as well. Sleep better last night so I think my body has finally adjusted. Started my tammi again so we shall see if the effexor works on my hot flashes. Now if I can just get over this nasty summer cold.
Paula looks like you deleted all your pictures but I did see in on FB and I really like it. The artist did an amazing job.

Also I want to thank all of you for being there for me. Seems I am always sensitive to new meds and they hit me hard until my body adjust. I know I can whine and complain here because you gals understand. Don't know how I would have gotten through the last year and half without you.

Deb...count me in too! Hopefully it has shrunk and no surgery will be needed.
Sherry...glad you are feeling better.

I'm jumping in the paockets too Deb. I will have to get you a good focus picture when I get home. I would have a very hard time explaining why I"m looking a man candy if I got busted at work, lol!
I haven't had any blood draws since 6 weeks past chemo. That was almost a year ago. I understand what she's getting at but I'm still get nervous sometimes. I never in my wildest dreams ever think I would have BC in both breasts 1 1/2 yrs apart. I just get a touch on the nervous side at times and thats why.
Sherry I had to delete them here because PhotoBucket took them down. I didn't think that a huge sign on the boards staying that they removed them needed shared. Now that I have a pic, just need to come up with some more ideas on Sista Day and what month to have it on.
I'm also happy to see that your doing better Sherry. Nothing like a new med just throwing a monkey wrench into things. I hope all continues going well for you!

sorry to hear about Robin!

Sherry - So glad you are feeling better and did not have to take the pills for nausea. That is the worst feeling. I hope the Effexor works for the hot flashes once you are back on Tammy. It has been quite a journey for you and the different medications. Getting sleep seems to always help out.

Hey ladies! Hope everyone is doing well - just checking in. Nothing new here. Faithfully popping my Tammy everyday. I don't know if any of you have heard this, but a poster here said her doctor recommended taking it with fish oil - that it makes the Tamoxifen more effective. I don't know, but I figured as long as I'm taking fish oil, I'll just go ahead and take it with the Tammy.

Deb... of course will be there!!
Sherry so glad you are feeling better!!!
Hi to all my TAMMY LADIES!!! HUGS!

heartnsoul - That is interesting about fish oil and Tammy. I take fish oil to help lower my cholesterol. That is in addition ti a prescriiption medication. Guess I will keep taking mine also.

Wow...Paula...the first thing I saw was THAT when I came on here and it surely made me smile!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!! And thank you all for being in my pocket today :-)
Well, the cyst is a little smaller, still there, but smaller and he said it looks benign so he just wants to do another ultrasound in 3 months. But, the stupid lining of the uterus is thickened again. The same as it was back in February when he did the D&C. Rather than do another D&C, he wants to just do a simple biopsy in his office which will be on July 3rd. He doesn't anticipate it being anything bad, as it was OK back in February when they biopsied with the D&C then, but he just wants to make sure. So I have a 3-week reprieve from doctors until the biopsy and, as long as that comes out OK, I won't have to go back until the end of September for the follow up ultrasound. If I have to keep going through biopsies and D&C's every few months, sometimes I wonder if having a hysterectomy would be an alternative. Either that or stop the Tamoxifen. Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!! It sure does s**k being a girl sometimes!!!

Deb glad the cyst is smaller but hate that you have to have another biopsy. If you are finished having children a hysterectomy is not so bad. I had to have my uterus removed when I was 32. I was so miserable before that it was such a relief. I was young so they kept my ovaries so my body would still produce hormones and go into menopause naturally.
Ok I am so done with this cold. It has finally turned into an infection and I am heading to my PCP this afternoon.0 -
Sherry - Darn it all. You don't need an infection. Hope you get some good drugs and get rid of it. (((HUGS)))

Seriously Sherry you can't catch a break lately........Paula really needs to hook you up.
Deb this shit just never ends does it. Glad we could all be there for you and you can count on us to be there when you have another biopsy. Fingers crossed you can move on.
Happy Wednesday ladies.

you said : "But, the stupid lining of the uterus is thickened again..."
have you asked your DR about endometrial ablation? I had this simple, little procedure about 14 yrs ago to stop extremely heavy bleeding. Worked like a charm. I just wonder if it would help with the SEs of tamox. The linig of the uterus would be gone.Perhaps you can google it and then ask the dr ?
Good Luck to you.0 -
Well all its been a little over a year on Tammo for me. I go tomorrow for a pap and to schedule a trans vag ultra sound. I'm kinda spooked a bit. Not that I'm expecting to find anything wrong. I just don't want there to be anything wrong. I flaked out on a biopsy last year because I was just so tired of it all. After spending a year of be poked, proded, and probed, enough was enough. I have decided what ever will be will be. I can't let this control me. I have to control it. Easier said then done. But heck it looks good on paper. So with that ramble being said, I'd like to book a pocket party for tomorrow.
momx3 I was wondering how you were doing. Good to see you are back.

Deb - It really does suck to be a girl sometimes....Hugs! We'll be there with you July 3rd.
Sherry - I sure hope they get you something to kick that cold to the curb fast! You really do need to catch a break and I hope it is soon! Rest up & feel better.
Paula - One word on the eye candy - WOW!!! Count me in for the pocket party especially with all your good looking friends....lol
Debbie - Welcome back... I hope your wrist feels better and you can let the kids take care of you for awhile.
Crazy busy for me at work this week and next. Did manage to call and set up my 6 month onc appt for July 16th... Not looking forward to it at all as I have been enjoying some time off from all the poking, proding and probing as Paula says!

Paula - Definitely count me in. I have my pap and transvaginal US next Wed. Then a break from the poking, proding, probing and groping. I'm sure you are looking forward to the break as much as I am.

Purple,
I have heard of that and I will ask him about it when I go. I haven't had a period since December, though, so I think he's hoping I'll get one and then maybe the lining will thin on it's own. But the ablation may be an option if I don't. I am just so tired of all the poking and probing!!
Thanks ladies for your encouraging words

Paula I'm jumping in your pocket.
Debbie glad your back and hope the hand is ok. I had foot surgery once and was kind of awake and they told me I talked all the way through surgery. No telling what I said. LOL. I had the other foot operated on 8 weeks later and they put me out for that one. I think the Dr and Anesthesiologist could not take it.
I went to my PCP yesterday and got some antibiotics and a nose spray and sleep most of the day. Got up this morning feeling so much better so I am back at work. Thank you all for being so supportive. I was telling my boss yesterday that I have not been sick like this in 5 years. When it hits it hits hard.
