Thanks Jo, June and Tink. Got results from xray. Definietly activitey going on.
Dr putting a call into Onc for further tests. Keeping my mind from going to a dark place. Been here before and it isn't fun.
Have to wait until next week for the pelvic ultrasound. All Dr.s involved not happy I have heavy period.
Geez, I don't even have anything to say about Tamox at the moment other than the nurse reminded me of the 1% of uterine cancer whilst taking Tamox. Thanks for that....................
Love you all sistas

Praying for ya Jules!!!!
Well all I just got back got back from seeing my mom. She's doing so good. I'm happy that she's not having a lot of pain for what she had done so thats a plus. Now to just get her closer to home and then that will make me so much happier. I can spend more time with her and if I want to I can spend the night in the chair and still get to work with no problems.
I finally got word on the biopsy date. Its not until the 25th, ugh!!! I did however chat with my sissy about it and she's been thru a small issue with her thyroid and so she was able to help with that. But I still want to know for sure whats up!
Well all I'm off to bed for some sleep, as long as my mind can let me! Light and Love to you all my Sistas!!

All's quiet on the Tammi front...

Wow, 10 hours of quiet on the Tammi train!
It's FRIDAY!!!! My sister & nephew will be arriving tonight and staying through next Wednesday, so I will probably have less access to the boards. However, I WILL be thinking of you all, hoping a restful weekend. BC has WAY too much drama associated with it - such a roller coaster ride. Hoping just maybe a little carousel ride this weekend instead of the roller coaster for all you Tammi sistas.0 -
Paula, So glad your mom is doing well. Will be in your pocket on the 25th. If I only knew where you find all the delicious eye candy, I would also bring some along for you to take your mind of the biopsy. I will start looking around and see what I can come up with - LOL!

Swansea - I would call your gyno right away. Spotting is a sign of uterine cancer (assuming you have not had a hysterectomy, LOL!) I am post menopausal and had my ovaries out. My gyno said they can check for cervical cancer with a pap smear, and uterine cancer presents by spotting. Worth a call!

Jo I will find her some eye candy, after all its the least I can do for all the treats she has supplied to us!
Okay ladies I am heading to Cape Cod for some fun in the sun for a week and wont be back on till Friday and I will miss you all terrible. Try and behave you all......
Love yas!!!

Have fun June
Had my MO appt yesterday and my Zometa treatment. My CBC was really good my WBC is finally coming up. I'll have to wait on the rest of the results until next week. I have had a little achyness from the Zometa this time but nothing Tylenol won't take care off. I was really hoping to move to every 6 months appts but MO still wants to see me every three months. So I'll go with the flow.
Paula wish you could get that biopsy before the 25th but we will all be waiting with you.

Jules - we are all here holding your hand through the terrible waiting! Seems like the "scares" never stop! I'm praying it's all just normal activity and everything is B9 for you! And the waiting is over before you know it!
You, too Paula! I'm glad your sister can advise you on the thyroid stuff; still praying it's just a cyst. For some reason once, a long time ago, they did an ultrasound on my thyroid and found about 5 or 6 cysts. No one has ever been interested in that since. Sort of bothers me. Oh, and I hope your Mom is feeling good!
Sherry - please tell your friend that I found something that (so far) seems to be helping my leg cramps. I'm doing PT right now, and he told me to stretch both calf muscles before bed every night. So far, I haven't had another one. I just loop a towel around the bottom of my foot, hold the ends in my hands and pull my calf (pulling the toes forward) gently and hold for 15 seconds, repeat 10 times. Hope that makes sense.
Re: 2 years on Tamoxifen = 80% benefit. If I have that saved somewhere I will post it here. That's an important thing to know, and I'm sure my MO told me that. I'll see her again in about 2 weeks, so I'll verify it in case I don't have it in an article. OMG, I have my mammo coming up, too! Ha - the first thing that went through my mind after I realized that was "think peaceful thoughts". Boy, are we programmed to find peace somehow. It's a difficult road we walk. Most people have NO idea.
June - I'm so glad you get a break - away to the beach for a week! Nice to feel good AND go somewhere!
I hope everyone has a restful and peaceful weekend!

Another good way to stretch calf muscles is to stand on the bottom step with the balls of your feet at the edge of the step. Keep your hand on the rail for balance, and then drop your heels. Hang there for a couple seconds, then up on your tip toes for a stretch, then drop them again. Work up the # of seconds you can do it. Don't bounce, just stretch. Ahhhhhhh ........

Oh, now that's better, Debbie! I can feel it for sure! When I was doing his towel method, I wasn't sure if I could feel the stretch... yes, I'm doing it this way from now on - thank you! Still no night time leg cramps, so I'm going to keep it up. Besides, it just feels good!0

stretches sound good will have to pass them on to my friend.
Went to the MO on Friday and got my Zometa treatment. Don't think I drank enough water as I was achey and sluggesh over the weekend, but now much better. I was so dissapointed I thought I was going to get to graduate to every 6 months. (NOT) still on the every three month check with the MO. I don't think he is going to go for every 6 months until all my surgery is complete. Oh well someday. I told him I was leary of taking my tamox break for my upcoming exchange surgery, August 21st. First time on tamox lots of SE. After BMX break SE have not been bad at all. Told him I was afraid that I would have bad SE's next time around. He laughed and said you just never know.

Sherry - Whether you continue on Tamoxifen or not is really up to you. It does come down to quality of life issues.
I called my PS this morning to see if they had any cancellations so I can move up my revision from Aug 6th to maybe sometime in July. I have a pretty hectic schedule next month and really want to be nice and healed before our cruise on Sep 2nd. They said they did not have any cancellations but would call if they did. Not more than 15 minutes later they called and I am going in on Monday, July 23rd - now, one week away. Yea! I am pretty excited - I just want to get this over with and hopefully I will have a clear appt calendar for August.

Congrats Jo! Now you should be healed up and ready to go for that cruise!
Went to the MO today. He feels I am doing very well so I get to continue on the 6 month schedule. Woohoo! Got the chores done so now I am ready to leave for a 10 day vacation at the beach on Friday! After the past year, I am so looking forward to the calming nature of the beach.
While I might be absent for a little bit, I will be with each of you during tests, treatment or pocket parties.

Congrats odie on the 6 months visit! One year I will get there, lol!
Well my mom is finally closer to home, yipeeee! Now its just a few short blocks and I'm right there, not a 45 min one way drive. I still haven't told her about the biopsy, don't want her to freak out. She does know theres a problem and thats it. She needs to focus on getting well. When it turns out to be nothing then I'll tell her.
I'm gonna try those leg excercises. I just think there is more to them then just being dehydrated. I get them about 2-3 times weekly and I get them all night long. Some are so bad I end up waking the hubs so this will help with them
Have a great day all!!
Love and light to you all!!!!! Love ya my sistas!

Jo, so glad you are able to get the surgery moved up!
Sandee, I am SO glad you are having some fun in life!!! Your postings have been so enjoyable, and I know you had such a really rough time for a bit last year. Seems like you are truly getting on with life!
Paula, keeping you and your mom and family in my heart & prayers.
I have had my sister & nephew visiting for 4 days. My sis helped me with a couple of major projects (cleaning out my utility room & organizing it!) and a few other smaller things. My energy is holding out and I truly enjoyed the visit without feeling overwhelmed or stressed, and am SO delighted to get that room organized! I should have taken before & after photos - it's just incredible! And it should be easy to KEEP organized, now that I have a little energy! She has been so supportive, and wanted to do something to help me, but lives 300 miles away, so she felt good about "doing something for me" and I felt good about being able to function and enjoy the company, AND having a clean utility room! Win-win!
June, odie, Sherry, Jules, Tink, momx3, heartsnsoul, Deb, chachamom, openheart, Maria, and any other Sista, I am sending you all wishes for a good week.

I was just doing a little research to see if various dosages of tamoxifen might be effective, yet have lower SEs. Haven't found exactly what I am looking for, but DID run across this abstract (have not looked at the full article - it is a metanalysis, or analysis of lots of articles already published in the medical literature). Basically, very few women actually complete all 5 years of 20 mg/day, 7 days/week, 52 weeks/year, for 5 years!
