Spar - Hugs for the lighthouse.

    Hi All,

Here's a pix of some of our biker friends crossing The Mighty Mac. We are lined up to pay a $3.00 toll.

One more pix of our new Harley with the Mackinaw Bridge in the background.

Sahalie - Notice our cute little luggage bag strapped on the trunk. It is not one of your Designer luggage bags but hey it works for us and a girl still needs storage no matter what. teehee Thanks for the special sign you posted for me awhile back.

Wings, I am in awe.  Beautiful Bike.  They made a lot of money with all of you guys passing over the bridge.

Goodmorning all beach goers, have not even had my coffee yet but had to check in.

Julz loved the songs and especially loved seeing our Faith doing goldfish, how cool is that

Foots, sweetie what has been going on with you now? You can have all the lemonaid I can make

Sahalie, you know me and my curiosity, did you catch the oysters yourself and smoke them at your farm.  Don't you really live by the ocean?  Beautiful flower you posted

Hope all has a good day, gotta have food and drink

    i love this sand sculpture.

hello to all the beachies!  I had a wonderful day with my good friend from my town.  we had her birthday lunch and walked around a store that has lots of cubicles of consignment antique stuff, like all the bowls, pots and pans, egg beaters, and little ceramic thingies that everyone's mothers had in their kitchens when we were little kids, and old toys too.........  a walk down memory lane....fun!

wings, i loved your pics.....the red Harley is awesome and you are beautiful and radiant in that picture.

spar and julz you both sound very busy but happy.

sahalie, Point Reyes for the oysters--makes me homesick again.  your farm sounds so wonderful and exciting.  i had a giant redwood tree in my backyard in Berkeley.  it was about 15 yards from my back door.  i think there were about 3 redwood trees in backyards in all of Berkeley.  I miss it.  There seem to be only Evergreens in the pacific northwest and they are very scraggly and not nearly as elegant as redwoods.

footie, i hope you are feeling good today.  We have had a bit of rain and colder winter-like weather lately.

saint, good luck with your tests.

faith, i loved the pics of your pencil jars and your work. you are such a colorful person....i think you exude all the colors of the rainbow.

heymoose, hope you are doing well and settling in on the beach. i must say i wonder how you got your name.

hello to everyone else.  The road to the beach is a little longer for me today---i have lots of stuff to do so i will be back later.

    whooooooooooohoooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's a gorgous day here in the great north woods and the youngest of our tribe of four (cumulative) adult children has arrived safely for a lengthy weekend. i retreived her from the Green Bay airport which is about two hours away from our spot-of-heaven.

it's so fantastic to have her here!! she's taking a nap -- as she had to get up before 4:00 a.m. to make it to her early morning flight.

we had brunch at my favorite brunch place.... our first trip there for the season. it's so much fun to see a familiar place thru someone else's eyes. she literally SQUEELED when she saw the goats on the roof. (too funny.)

DH has just hung up the phone to close a BIG deal with a new client. [There may be tap dancing next.] It's tremendous to land a great new account in this economy..... we'll see how it unfolds but the potential is apparently amazing. It will mean triple his work force (from 4 folks to a dozen) and that will have some headaches, but it's the good kind of headaches to have.

Must go search for a picture of something **wonderful** for all this good news..........

thanks Sahalie...... it seems that our boat is coming in...... our seed planting for decades is bearing fruit and that's a great thing.

Here's another picture from last summer. This is the cutest little gift shop. It's called "Fun Stuff" and they've totally captured the essence of their product in that name.

Julz...... you've really been doing your research. How'd you find my Goldie?? Sweetie pie. Thanks.

Beachie friends....... my dear sweet husband thinks of that Michael B song as "our" song. He sent me the link to the very same you-tube selection, a while back. Seriously caught me off-guard at the time. I think that's been some of the 'fallout' of my dx. He's become so incrediblely sentimental.

Thanks for the reminder, Julz. When I just played it this minute, he was just beaming -- and singing along at the top of his lungs: awwwwwwwwwwww.

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

BILL GATES RULES ON LIFE AND REALITY
Rule 1 : Life is not fair -- get used to it!
Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.
Rule 6 : If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.
Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

Your hallway is the transition point between work and home.

Walk in and you should see something beautiful such as flowers, a picture or painting

and you'll immediately feel happy at home.
