giggle......... I can't figure out how to 'answer' the layer questions.... my cut/paste function seems to have gone missing when on this format. I, too, am enjoying reading of the layers of our beachie babes.

I LOVE reading about Helen Keller, so I'll sit in on Spar's interview, but ever since the movie "Nell" I've appreciated Jodie Foster, so I'll listen there too. Bill Gates rules have a lot of truth to them -- evidence of the pendulum swinging back and forth..... maybe I'll interview him and find out what makes him such a tough employer, since Celia's privy to info of that nature.

Edited to add: some pink hollyhocks for my pinkie friends

I'm constantly wearing these plastic sandles with straps -- not flips flops exactly. Walked in Adidas this morning.

    Dec. birthday.

Born in Indiana, living primarily in Ohio these days.

Listening to classical music as I type -- as DD2 is practising her horn/oboe. She saturates us with it when she's home.

That's all that I can remember.

Last night we saw a professional troupe perform a Neil Simon play. Hilarious. I just loved hearing the three of us laughing together. Worth the price of the tickets for that opportunity. Well done.

going to a folklore theatre tonight for an original musical comedy entitled "Lumberjacks in Love" if the weather holds -- it's in outdoor state park. Wish you all could come.

I think Ohio is centrally located for a beachie get-together..... and I'll happily host, but we are obviously short a beach. LOL (there I said it in real life..... I consider you guys real.)

Hello beach buddies! THANK YOU all for your sympathy & kind words.

I have had an odd & busy week! I had to reschedule my scans in order to go to Barbara's funeral on Wed, so those were today.  Both went as well as can be expected. I worry so about Molly at those things, tho. I just KNOW she is thinking----could be MY mom.....but then, it is good for her to experience other ppl's pain & watch as they transition & survive. TWO of my kids' schoolmates have lost parents this summer!

I LOVE all the pix! F&F DID show me how to do it too, but I can't seem to find the time to devote to it just now. Been painting up & storm & we are ALMOST done!  I HATE my bedroom furniture (circa 1974-----YUCKO) but with new carpet ordered all this paint & the "little" things that have to be bought to go along (new curtains & bedding--of course!) no $ for furniture STILL! so.....Trading Spaces ain't go nothin on ME--today I painted it & bought new hardware-a whole new look for about $75----hope I like it when it's all done!!!!

I really don't mean my posts to be ALL about ME (tho they seem to be just that!) I started to address each of you, but I can't rememer who has the harley & who loves lighthouses! Call me chemobrain! I so enjoy who each of you is, it's just gonna take me a bit to pull all the personality traits together under each name & then remember! Sorry I'm not faster at it. I'll use a cheat sheet next time & keep adding to it til I get it. We should find a place to list the 6 layers side by side (cuz I can't do it here either) LOL

Almost forgot-scan results are Mon---not too worried-it will be whatever it is. Of course-it would be really great if all is "unchanged"... I will let you know.

Gotta go check out the paint job in the last room! You all be well & stay strong. Hugs, saint

Celia, you will have to let me try some of your vegie recipes.

I just got home from the rehab visiting my aunt, I can tell a difference she is talking better and she didn't choke one time on her supper.  She still can't drink liquids though.  I am just so happy she is better.  Me and DH, dusted, cleaned, mopped, and kicked in out in 2 hours working together.

Granddaughter was at aunts hosp. room and started crying to come home with me and i have never been able to tell her no when shes clinging to me and crying, then she wanted long john silvers so that was what we had for supper, we have it so rarely because it is so greasy but it was good occasionally.

Hope all has fun at the beach tonight.  will post more tomorrow. night all.

Good evening Beach Angels.  Just a quick pop in to say hello and that I hope to be here much more next week.  Saint so sorry about your friend.  I really haven't had a chance to read back yet but I will work on that this weekend.  I'm willing to do a beach get together.  Just tell me when and where and what I can do to help.  We can make our own beach wherever we meet.  I'll bring some beach music, I'm sure Sahalie can take care of finding the cabana boys.

    Evening Song!

Hi, my sweet beach friends. I have missed so much & will do some catching up early this morn. I was not here for a day because I over slept yesterday night. I went to bed & planned to get up & post. The next thing I knew my DH was waking me, saying you need to be to work in 20 minutes. I should of won an Olympic gold for the Fastest Shower & Getting Dressed session ever. I was in the shower brushing my teeth shampooing my hair all at the same time. Out in 5 minutes drying off dragging the stuff out to do my hair, bug spraying the pits & moisturizing the face all in one fell swoop. Picked my curls out & into a clip. On to dressing, pulling undies up while slipping socks on. Then pants, brazzeer, top & shoes. Grabbed my badge, gloves, pen & lip junk. Ran into the kitchen. Pulled out my meds, downed them with milk & water! I was done in 13 minutes tops! Out the door with a 7 minute ride to work, TEE HEE, I know where all the cop hiding places are! But still I only did a few over! I was only 2 minutes past the time to be there! Thank goodness we have a 7 minute grace! WOW I made it. I would like to see those atheletes drag there buts out of bed that fast & get it in gear to practice in 21 minutes! Although I may not be able to walk right after I get up from sleeping today! Oh well the price I have to pay for oversleeping LOL!

The other part of the reason I did not check in yesterday is my D-I-L has been sick for weeks since about a week after having our first grandchild. She took an antibiotic for mastitis (sp?) which apparently killed off all the good bacteria, which allowed the bad ones that were left to take over. She has had an off an on fever for weeks & stomach trouble. Has seen the Docs but tests came back neg for anything. This past week she got really bad & lost major weight. Can't keep anything down or in her. Majorly dehydrated, & was finally admitted to the hospital 2 days ago where they finally found out that she has Bacterial Colitis. They live 4 hours away from us & her parents. My son had to take off work for the weekend, we are still not sure what is going to happen. She is not getting better at all. I'm not sure what all this will mean in the next few we will have to see. She needs our prayers!  I don't mean to dump this on everyone, I'm just really worried. I talked to one of my nurse friends & she said she will probably need IV meds for 2 weeks. Thats how long she could end up in the Hospital. Thanks for letting me lean on you all!

Spar ~  I'm glad your Aunt is better, seeing improvement already is a good thing! Praying for your son & grandson. I will catch up with you later! Kiss

Sahalie ~ I love your pics, layers (will do later), & Gates commandments! Weddings & trips are coming up soon how lovely!  I will catch up with you later too!

Celia ~ Hi to you & finding melted pics. You must have had to dig far in the sand computer for those!

Faith ~ As always you amaze me. I was more than happy to be of service for your listening pleasure. I just love Michael B., his voice makes you melt. A modern day Frank Sinatra! I can almost picture your DH & you dancing cheek to cheek in your kitchen while he sang to you! As for all the other pics (Love the Flowers), concerts with your daughter, work & more playing! WOW Oh BTW, I liked goldie & her Cohort in the water also! I found it on Youtube, I think there are 2 more songs of yours on there!  Type in your name! Walah!

SoCal ~ I missed you. I hope you have fun while your on my side of the U.S.. Keep that camera handy for more dandy pics!

Jazz ~ I loved your song about the light house & the beautiful pics to accompany the song! I hope next week brings with it some more me time for you! (time for your self)

Foots ~ You motor cycle mama! Glad you could top by!

Saint ~ When I want to remember everything I put pen to paper. Remember the old fashion way! Some things you just can't change forever. We understand with all you have been through & are going through....nothing needs to be said. Special hugs to you!

Heymoose ~ Glad to see you back, whenever you can is O.K. with us.

Sige ~  Good to see ya playing at our beach!

To any one I have missed I need to say Hello & Good Bye. My puter is acting up & I don't want it to have a dumping fit & loose all this. I am off to bed, I work again tonight! Have fun on the beach today! I sure could use a nice tall Pina Colada & a pair of sunglasses so I don't burn my eyes looking at the Hot Cabana Boys! LOL Have fun waveing at the waves for me! Much Love to all!  Julee

Julz: immediately adding your DIL to my prayer list. How old is the baby at this point? Will you share her first name with us? I always like to have that tidbit to make the prayers more personalized for my brain.

SAINT: thinking of you in the waiting-game this weekend..... you're a pro at that, but I'm sure it's still on your heart. My best to Molly thru the reality of losing Barbara. I'm sure you'll use her passing as a springboard to significant conversations. She's such a gem.

Beachines: Saint's daughter Molly has THE most beautiful, pure singing voice...... but to see her dance is to marvel.

Jaz: loved the lighthouses above, I'm sure Winger's gonna swoon

Lisa: neat to hear of your travels.

Sahalie: looking forward to hearing about the upcoming weddings

Shrink: are you focused on the reception? I still want to hear about your dress

Margo: have you started packing or are you still shopping

Celia: find us some more brilliant ideas that inspire

Spar: glad to hear your aunt is headed toward healing

Footie: has the weekend cooled down for you? we just had some rain this morning that helped

hugs to all, A to Z

    Wings, Moose loves to you

    still laughing about lumberjacks!!

must run now....... headed to breakfast buffet that defies description.........

    salivating already.

    Hello Everyone:

I'm still working on our wedding reception figuring out who is sitting where.  Whatever, there will be some people who want (or who don't want) to sit with someone else but in the scope of things, they'll have to get over it and enjoy the brunch.  Maybe a mimosa whill chill them out. I'm wearing a black sheath dress (at the knee) with a white satin jacket over it which flares at the waist and wrists. There's a large square black beaded button which matches some earrings I have. I spent toooo much at Nordstom's but WTH.  I'll be taking it on the cruise along with some other overpriced outfits.

Good luck to all of you due for scans.

I am coming to the beach today.  I'll live dangerously and forget the sun screen.

     Hugs and prayers to all.

    and from Noelle:

and I'm not saying who came up with this:

    Bitches Enter Another Common Hell

(I think that's in reference to all we endure w/BC.... and the fact that 'it's' all too common is just plain injustice........ but that's a different bumper sticker all together.)

How about changing that last one around to

    Beachfriends enter another common heaven

Good afternoon all, just got back from taking granddaughter home.  Daughter is having 1/2 off price sale because they are moving the shop so I bought up some stuff for Christmas and birthdays already.  Told her anything they were going to throw away I want to go through it first.  She put out the cutest little wooden wagon with wheels and a handle that would look so cool stained and sealed to sit flower pots on outside.  Can hardly wait for them to finish cleaning so I get some junk.

Here are some bongo players and party people on the beach.  We can move to the beat.

Hi, Beachies I have to do a fly by wave with the waves for you all! Thanks so much for your concern & prayers for my D-I-L. They are still ?ing her DX, she's at a trama center/ teaching hospital & has new Dr's on it for the weekend. They went in & did an emergency scope today & took tissue samples of colon, 3-5 days before results.  Possibility of Ulcerative Colitis. Has been losing blood for days & had 2 blood transfusion's. Sorry if TMI for tender hearts! Her name is Sara. Her & my son John are just 21. What an Eye Opener life on there own has become so quickly.......

It looks like my friends are having fun on the beach today! With lots of Love to you ALL & faith needing thoughts for better days ahead!
