Good afternoon Beachettes! Its been a good day on this side of the beach. Lots of sunshine and very productive.
Sahalie -- sweet California angel, I love you poetic ways with words. I see you are having to lose a few trees on your property. I hate that. I planted a red oak in my yard when I moved in and its such a slow growing tree that after all these years its just now producing any shade. Its amazing how trees add so much to the beauty of the land.
Faith -- I saw the colorful countertops on your site. They are absolutely gorgeous. Sarah will be fine. Faith, hope and love. God is able as Stephanie reminds us each day.
Spar -- how is your grandson feeling? I love those watercolors you found. They are giving me some great ideas!
Julz -- I hope you are getting some much needed rest. Please keep us updated on Sara.
Celia -- I love the beach finds you bring to the beach. I can't imagine a world without art and beauty.
Well, have to run for a bit. Need to get some things from Walmart before my show starts. Its always so crowded in the evenings now.

Hi Beach Babes! I only have a few minutes to post. We are going away for the holiday weekend. I have been so busy at work, I've had no time to post. I had a virus in my computer at work also, and that didn't help.
We are going to Tioga County, in PA, and are going to ride along Route 6. We are also camping with friends. I hope the weather is good.

It is what it is -- applies but of course it's so inadequate. I'm still gonna pray for a miracle and that's that. You have the absolute port-in-a-storm mentality and you teach me much with every interaction. I will pray that this next set of treatments can keep this latest find in check. Your fringe of hair is classic and I know you'll enjoy it for the while.
I really did think that you'd find our beach just the spot to splash your toes..... the combination of pictures, words and music is unsurpassed.
Just went down to our 'beach' to participate in the sunset and was tickled by the fusion of pink and orange tonight. Still searching for the big, extreme sunset among the wild clouds. Patience.

a bunch of beach animals....
i have been busy the last few days, actually last 2 weeks, with the annual doctor appts. I have had a steroid shot in my shoulder, lots of blood tests, mammo, been to the breast watch clinic at the Army Hospital, and today my doc declared that all tests and lab work---OK!! i get a year reprieve for some things and 3 months for others.
i have been pre-occupied, but reading quickly, i see that all the beachies are going thru difficult times. I have to go back and read again to try to grasp everything that is happening. Spar, Julz, faith, saint, footie, and all who have not so good test results or dear ones who are having trouble, i wish for you the most strength and love that you will need to get thru this time.
faith thank you for directing us to your blog for the colorful countertops....lovely!! blasts of colors! just what i needed. Your daughter's smile is very reminiscent of your big smile, but i see your dh's smile in her too!! i hope your Sarah is better. Keeping her and you in my heart.
saint, i am sorry that those tests were not the results that you wanted. Good luck with the xeloda. I am praying for you. Please do whatever med or chemo would help you the most, regardless of hair or no hair. Saint you looked really good with the Easter egg decorations on your bald head!!!!!
spar hoping your grandson and aunt are better. i am having trouble remembering all the relatives of everyone. Wishing all of our friends and relatives to be better and healthy.
sahalie, i am still thinking about your redwood trees. When i lived with the redwood tree in my backyard, a new neighbor moved in next door who had a gardner trim all the branches that overhung on her lawn. When i went out my back door and saw that glorious redwood tree with half his branches missing on one side i was horrified. It took years to fill in those branches a bit and not look totally lopsided..
jasmine, i agree....i could not live without art in my life, and definitely could not live without the eyes and the artist's vision to see the art in everything.

Hi, I about to run out the door for my nitely duty again! Wishing peaceful rest tonight for all my Beach Friends. Thank you all for your comfort & prayers. My DIL was released from the Hospital & is home. My DH is also back home with me safe & sound. My Grandsons saw the Dr today also & they feel his belly button hernia should heal on its own, many babies have them. Time to rest & heal in the comfort of there home now!
Spar ~ Thinking of you & the trip you have to make tomorrow to help your Aunt & Uncle. If you need me I'm just a call away! I hope your grand son & daughter are feeling better. Remember to take care of yourself as you help others. As always you seem to find Beachy KEEN pics with us in mind!
Saint ~ What can I say that the others already haven't said! I'm so glad that our Faith & you are close to lean on one another in person. To help comfort & guide one another through such trying times. Know that when you hug each other we are all there in spirit! (((((((BEACHFRIENDS)))))))

Dear Beach Friends, I am home from my tests at the hospital and am very sore, I had to laid flat for both tests and he went 3 to 4 times in to get the biopsy of my thyroid. But I just pray somehow they will take them out, With the asthma and lymphedema its hard to breath some days. Sending everyone angel hugs, My prays are with all of you, Debbie

My salmon fisherman are back from their adventure -- with their limit of 8 fish..... approx 50, yes FIFTY pounds of CLEANED salmon!! I mean I love salmon, but could you ALL come over for a cook-out tomorrow? This is a MOUNTAIN of salmon. Wow.
Celia..... I'm so tickled that you received good news thru all of your tests and have a year off for some of them. Pop open something with a cork and celebrate here along the shore. Wait till you see the photo I took this morning while walking out in the countryside. I swear it looks like a rough draft for Van Gogh.
Footie....... I'm glad that you are home and that the tests will eventually shed some light for you. Have you always in my prayers.

saint, you are certainly NOT the"lazy broke mooch" that you said in your post. you are a beachie and we love you. naughty naughty girl for saying such things. i went to the old Dreamcatchers site to see if i could find your easter egg head photo, and was saddened to find that almost all of the photo folders were empty, and there were only messages from advertisers. Do you have that photo in your possession? If you could email it to faith or jasmine or me, we could post it for you. My day starts with a happy grasshopper kind of start.........
I FINISHED my illustrations for the sign language componant of my next book. WHOOOHOOOO!! Now we'll get them scanned somewhere and digitally maneuver over their two page spread.
AND got the thrilling email that our TV project/proposal has cleared another significant hurdle -- towards reality. Way tooooooooo soon to celebrate anything, but progress brings it a baby step closer. Continuing to keep my fingers crossed!!
No news for Sarah yet. She seems in good spirits from our earlier chat this morning.
Tomorrow's my flight to OH, so I'll get to have a quick babeez/WB fix, as they will come retrieve me at the airport. So, I too will be m.i.a. for a chunk of the rest of the week.
Lots of folks with plans..... the beach may get quiet.

Egg head was my first time thru chemo - Easter '01--this is what my friend painted for under my hat! It made many ppl lol in surprise!

Celia!! I'm so grateful that you knew of and remembered the Easter Egg celebration photo of our dear SAINT. I love the fact that you can see her Sunday morning pearls at her neck, below the Charlie Brown zig-zag -- with such flair and 'take that' attitude.
