See you at the beach tomorrow.

Good morning beach beauties! One year ago today my breasts were amputated. Oh well, enough about that!
Liz, oh, this would be a long loading thread with all it's images. It's nice to see you pop in! You need to do something about that dial up so we can enjoy you here more!
Sahalie, mmmm Nice ship captain we had on our dinner sail. Oh my, I guess I must turn myself in to the beach patrol. see you later ... or not! lol

Loving all the colorful pictures. I found the how to post picture thread.. hoping I can learn from it.
CasinoGirl - sorry I missed the lobster bake yesterday sounded yummy. WingMan and I did the Mexican feast like Nessie and her DH. My chicken fajitas were delicious.
Barb - I woke up to snow Friday morning also. They even canceled school for the day.
Angel - Congrats on your BRCA results.
Faith - I saw the picture of your DD. She is glowing with beauty. She looks tiny to be having twins.
Iris - deck shoes look perfect. I have not followed much of the March madness goodluck to your HEELS. My DD is huge NBA fan she went to the Pistons game today.
Nessie - VW vans - too funny
Sahalie - Ok I am guilty of having a conflict w/ Beach Patrol. True story - my DH (WingMan) and I rode our motorcycle to the Great Lakes to take pictures of lighthouses. We entered a fenced in area that had an open gate. Looked like a big party going on volleyball, cookout etc. We parked the bike and I started taking pixs of the lighthouse. Two gentlemen walked over and asked for our ID. WingMan showed his ID and I sort of ignored him and continued taking pictures. I really didn't think he was that serious about seeing ID. After the third "ma'am I need to see your ID" I was getting a little worried so I obliged. I told him we were just there to take pictures I did not feel it was necessary to drag out ID. When he told me he was from the COAST GUARD and we were trespassing WingMan thought he was going to arrest me on the spot. We apologized or at least WingMan did and got out of there in a hurry. WingMan does not like to take me to lighthouses anymore but I did get some great pictures!

Happy Sat nite to all!!
I didn't read back much but I did browse a few.
Welcome WingGirl.....lol about your ID story
Faith, I am picking April 18
Charlene, since Iris is congratulating you, your BRCA tests must have come back good. Well, big congrats from me. The seashell pic is so gorgeous. Yes,, Iris, it looks like my collection.
Neesie, I so enjoy your posts. You always make me chuckle.
Barb, cool, I want to go on a roda trip in one of those VW vans. Neesie, I want to have peace signs on mine too.
Hi Jan
Margo, sorry about your headaches. Hope all comes back ok for your sis's test results.
Iris, love the daffodils. I liked the way your coordinated a pic for your post. I wonder if I can do that. I am lucky I can post one pic...lol.
I went to the cardiologist yesterday. I am gonna do a stress test on April 7. He doesn't think it is anything. Wants to fo it as a precaution. The echo he did in Fec was fine and catheterization last year is fine. What the he@@ brings it on? This is not the first time either. They are very annoying and it scares me. The pain in my arm is muscle not heart he said. Even a xanax doesn't help. It was very bothersome all day. Now I have to call the breast surgeon and onc Monday for the pain in my boob....I keep hoping it is not a recurrence.
Well, I just stayed home all day and just puttered around. Gonna do the same tomorrow. don't want to be far from home. Cardio. said he can always up my pills I take for these palps. Oh, I got my arimidex yesterda. UPS'd right to my door. Every month...I am soooo excited. Now I don't have to have that worry.
Ok, I think I am gonna visit the chat room and see how everyone is doing there..havent been there in about a month.
Have a great night's sleep.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie0 -
Loving Iris's post and pics...........you always help me keep up with things....I would love to visit you in NC............almost had DH talked into a trip to Myrtle Beach next month........notice the 'almost!' We need to make it a 'girls weekend' anyhow!
Angel: How did I miss your news yesterday??????????????? A huge, whopping Congrats to you missy!
Candie: You can most certainly have a van with peace symbols on it too!! Listen up.................it is not a recurrence. I think the stress test will be fine too...............guess I'm not driving myself nuts enough thinking of my boobs so lately everytime I get a twinge or a slight tightness or whatever I think it's my heart..................go figure!
Margo: How is your Sister? Let us know how the biopsy went.
Jan: Miss you too, friend.............hope all is well with you. I know you had a not to pleasant test recently.
Winggirl.......Bonnie.........What mexican restaurant did you and hubby hit last night? We finally got an actual nice, sit down restaurant in our 'small' town..............it was packed last night.............but good! Gotta hit our MI girls up about lunch soon!
Okay..Granddaughter is down for the night and I don't think I'll be far behind her!
Tomorrow we are going to see........Horton hears a who..........Horton hears a what.........or What the Hell does Horton hear................something like that! She will be 4 in a month and this will be her first trip to a Cinema....What have I done to myself now?! It's only 88 minutes long....but this child hasn't sat still for more than 88 seconds since she was born!!
Hope all have a good night.......................I only read the past page so I'm sorry if I missed someone or something!

quiet day at the beach, after all of our earlier fun & games this week....
quick update on the DD/pregnancy saga. according to doc yesterday, he doesn't think she's as far along as she's figured: (collective groan.) by about a week to nine days! Ye Gads! he had her clocked in at barely 33 weeks.
nuts. crud. crap. more time here in lala land. my real life is seriously calling me! i spoke to a friend who's gonna be available for back up on all of these April weekends where i'm to be all over the midwest. collective chant: "one day at a time"
one other tidbit..... she was dx w/bladder infection, which explains a WHOLE lot of her recent agony. the prescription has already begun to offer some relief!! thank you angels...... now, wishing for the crystal ball.
Wing-Girlie: I'll read Sarah your kind comment & it will make her day! so glad that you're gonna be a regular here, so much easier to keep up with each other. LOL about your light house story!
Nessie: Who Hears Horton? Can't wait to hear how your little wonder manages the big-screen fun! I'm giggling just thinking about it.
Margo: Your nonprofit is so awesome!! Your website is pretty sweet and gives a good glimpse into all that you're up to. Thanks for sharing. Hoping that your sis is hanging in there.
Iris: You're just a plain over-achiever, that's all there is to it -- and that's getting to be quite obvious to all of us now!! I love all of your images. What extra-ordinary effort to razzle & dazzle us. Thanks for taking the time to make it work. I stand in awe! WOW.
Candie: sure hope that you can get to the bottom of all that's happening... the sooner the better! Here's to all of your searching for answers. Know that we're all here in the background, cheering for you!
Jaz: hope you're on an island somewhere where the cyber connections are poor. thinking of you. beware the occaisional pirate lurking.
CharAngel: sending you a sense of calm to deal with the reality of today's date and what that will forever mean to you, sweet ring-leader.
Janny: yes, there's a baby-poll & you are officially entered. Stay tuned for the winner & the prize announcement! Great to see you!!
Deb: prayers to you tonight. Asking for strength and courage in the face of the unthinkable. Go on & be amazing. Be outragous in your courage and share your strength with all who are afraid. Know that we're all cheering for you. Sending you energy for the path ahead.
Barb: I used to own a VW bus. It was HUGE. Back when the girls were in preschool.... my other lifetime. It was so 'tippy' with even the slightest breeze. I always thought we were gonna fall over. The sliding door weighed about a ton and a half. When my oldest was waving to her preschool boyfriend, I was closing the door & yes, somehow managed to snag her finger -- without breaking it. The whole VW thing is a very sad era in my life..... so don't let me get near your brigade, if there are any sledge hammers near by. (LONG story.)
Liz: can't imagine that you could even get this thread to open on dial up. You must be the most patient person on earth! Welcome, whenever you're in the mood.
Susan & Donna: it's time to return the patrol boys to the rest of the bunnies. Time's up!
Sahalie: what else do you have up your sleeve for us?
Here's a picture I took of a Michigan light-house last year over Labor Day. If you look closely you may see Wing-Girl making a quick getaway from her beach patrol. hahahaha!!

Hope this picture sends.
It really is ME! Don't tell WingMan I went for a walk on the beach and found this lighthouse. I almost passed out running up all those stairs, at least beach patrol couldn't catch me.

YIPPEE my first picture insert!! I am such a tech dummy.... my children will be proud of me. Now how do I downsize pictures?
Nessie - tips for taking GD to movie. SPLURGE on the snacks, keep feeding her. If your like me and frequent the restrooms often pump the liquids down her then you can blame the potty breaks on the GD. Just don't feed her to much that she gets sick. LOL Enjoy the movie. Our Friday Mexican dinner was at Fiesta Ranchera - authentic food, friendly family owned.
Faith - I have a baby date - April 22 Earth Day. I'll pick a time in case date is already taken - 10:22 am.
Quick hi to all the Beach Beauties here.

What a beautiful morning on the beach.
Charlene, WOW, I am so happy about your BRCA news.
Congratulations.
Faith, where is the picture of your dd?
Winggirl, fantastic job on your first picture insert.
One neat trick to make the pictures smaller is on the little window we have to use to insert the picture.
There is a "dimensions" option.
I use it all the time so I control the size of the photo.
Beautiful light house by the way!
There is such a peacefulness to lighthouses.
Yoga on the Beach ~ Today at 5PM
Fresh fruit and seafood buffet at 7PM
edited to add~ I wish you all a GREAT day!

Good morning beach beauties. This is how the Cape Hatteras lighthouse looked before it was moved back from the eroding beach. I was in it but don't have a personal digital image of it to share!
Thank you all regarding my BRCA test results! Of course I'm relieved for my two daughters!
Winggirl .. Too funny about the confrontation with the CG at the lighthouse! I Love that pic of you in the one at the beach! Photobucket has a really nice picture edit feature now. Look for the edit image tab and click on it. Sahalie's way works very well also if you know the dimensions you want it to be! But the pic of you in the lighthouse works big .. just looks like I'm staring up at you!
Candie .. I found that seashell pic for you. Glad you liked it.
Neesie .. Good luck at the "Horton Hears A Who" movie! Loved WingGirls advice!
Faith .. Thank you for your sense of calm (and your PM). I'm glad that yesterday is over with. What a beautiful picture of the Michigan lighthouse! I'm glad your DD is getting some relief. I'm groaning along with you about her being further behind where originally thought. I'm Sure she didn't want to hear that!
Barb, the sentiments are so nice in the pic you posted
Sahalie, I love the schedule for later, I'm definitely there!
Jaz, I just heard about your beloved dog passing away. I'm so sorry. This is for you.

Beach Bunnies: did you see that airplane pulling the message behind it? I love those at the shore. His banner read "KISS ME, I'M A SURVIVOR." Blowing kisses to each and every one of you!! We're in this together. We're in this for the long haul!
Jaz: So sorry to hear about your dear dog. I know you'd told us earlier what long-time buddies you'd been to each other. My heart sends you healing, as you go about today 'on your own.' (((((((((((((jaz)))))))))))))
WingGirl: You're a genius! You figured out the pic posting thing, before you got the hang of chatting. Just imagine what else you can do. (It was Jaz who walked me thru the posting instructions, on a speed slow enough that I could be trusted to follow thru.)
Nessie: Can't wait for a full report on the cinematic outing..... or are you still in the bathroom? If you followed Wing's advice you may still be in a stall somewhere. LOL.
AngelChar: I'm so glad that the date on the calendar says March 30th.... there's a whole new year ahead. And I've heard a rumor that the weather is supposed to be getting warmer, leading us outdoors more often. {There's absolutely no evidence of this rumor -- in central Ohio.} Tuning up the drums for tonight's "Happy Dance" in honor of your BRCA news.
Everybody come down to the beach in your grass skirts....
Sahalie: Were you ever an activity director on a cruise ship? I love what you outline for us. Could you arrange that yoga instructor to convene us daily? I'll attempt to mount today's pic of DD. She went to a neighbor's shower & got dolled up.
Barb: I loved the sentiment of your evening prayer. You're a total pro at these clips now. Keep it up. Always makes my day!
Candie: thanks for the update. I'm so happy that your meds have arrived, safe and sound as promised. That's got to be a HUGE relief. Focus on that progress and celebrate how you tracked that down. Yeee ha!
Deb: Sunday's best prayers for you & yours. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. Courage & strength by the box-full.
Iris: I'm awaitng your brilliant verbal & technical skills for the day. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.
Margo: Hope you're getting some energy, after the stress of last week. Holding out for good news for you & sis.
Janny, Liz, Susan & Donna: hurry up and grab your yoga mat. I want to get there before all of the good spots are taken.
It was soooo good to get out of the house this afternoon. Now that she's medicated, she's much more pleasant: haha. I was so glad that she got invited, as they are brand new to this hamlet & now she has a greater network of folks that she's connected to -- even if slightly.
So here's the growing 'oven.' We've been trying to remember to take a pic every Sunday. According to her calculations she's 35 weeks, as of today. According to her OB, she's more like 33.5 weeks. Time will tell. I sure hope she's correct. Will organize the newest additions to the poll and get it updated soon. Happy distraction for her.
Remember, after tonight's seafood buffet the drumming and dancing will convene to honor Angel's news on her BRCA. Open bar @ Captain Jack's Tiki Hut to keep us bouncing into the wee hours. Plan ahead, bring a jacket -- could turn into an all nighter, if the Beach Patrol stops through!

Hi girls, sorry been MIA all weekend. Thanks to those who mentioned my sister. Friday was pretty traumatic for her - they gave her an Ativan when we got there at 8 or so and by the time we got in there at 10 the ativan had worn off so they had to give her another one. The bone marrow biopsy is bad enough but they couldn't get good samples (yes, samples) so they had to choose another spot and do it all over again. We didn't get out of there until after 12 so I just took the rest of the day off and kept her at my house. Yesterday did errands all day with hubby and today hubby and sis and I did other errands so we bonded all day. Had a few minutes so thought I'd check om my bech bud. Hope all are doing well and I'll catch up later this week - tomorrow is Ryan's birthday so probably won't be on until Tuesday.

Happy Sunday Evening/Early Monday Morning!
Hope that your wkend was a good one! It was cold here;although,we needed rain...won't complain. I wanted to do a separate pic for each of you and can't with my spare computer! So...hi to all! I lost several after Horton!
angelcharlene...glad the first yr anniv/surgery date went by and now, another year has already begun. I liked the way faith phrased it more eloquently than I. Love the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse pic. It cost quite a bit to move it;however, what a treasure! You and I are in sync as I collect NC lighthouse pics and memorabilia. Thanks for those awesome pics esp the one with the lights is so beautiful-swirled and furled. Reminds me of the Judy Collins song abt "Clouds";I just loved that song.
Margo...great to see your post and glad that your sister is feeling much better. I know that is a painful test as my mother had that one once. Thinking of her and you! Have a great Monday! Thinking of your beautiful sunny CA as we had a cold and gloomy day! At least,it rained, rained, rained!
Jaz...so sorry abt your dog and loved the Rainbow Bridge, angel. That was a real thoughtful tribute and I have always loved Enya's songs.
Faithandfifty...beautiful pic of your daughter! Wow! I am sure she is counting the days, minutes, hours, etc by now. I am with her---her count is the one we will use. LOL Your Michigan pic is beautiful and makes me want to be walking on the rocks.
Sahalie...would love to do yoga and have fruit. That would be a very pleasant afternoon adventure. Lovely pic!
Candie...thinking of you and hope that your wkend was good. Glad that you were able to talk to your cardiologist as the anxiety is so difficult(speaking for myself). You can definitely post the pics...I am just so slow and wanted to do for each post tonight. Maybe one day when the regular computer comes back into my life...hate broken computers!! Don't we all?
Neesie...don't know if it was a who, what, where or when...with Horton, but here's a pic for you and gd. Liked the suggestion abt the sodas and candy at the movies...that was better than the movie, sometimes! LOL Hope it was fun and being with you,I know is fun.
Barb...that was a colorful and interesting celebration pic. Without being too nosey, are they people that you had met? If too nosey, you can tell me that it is none of my business. Just beautiful colors and designs in their costuming.
wingman2...neat photo of the lighthouse and interesting story abt the ID. I bet dh was getting anxious. We got stopped by base police yrs ago and I remember how anxious my mother and I were. My father worked,as a civilian, there and was chatting away. The MPs just looked bored and asked us to move on as it was a restricted area. Later,I learned it was where the downrange missiles were launched back in the 60s. My father was not told this in his job and no wonder the MPs were so annoyed!
Me with my TLC touch to my computer!
Just kidding...maybe??? Please let my friend Al rescue me from computer craziness or as i call imyself a CCCC: Completely Certifiably Computerized Crazy!
Good Night all you Beach Buddies! Sleep well, friends!

Hi divine,
First, WELCOME to the Beach Thread! Glad to see you! Love the Folly Beach area and folks that call it folly rhyming with Molly. How do you say it there?
I am not the brightest pic poster, but can maybe help. There were excellent directions posted by Jaz,I think I'm right that it was Jaz. Anyway, are you saving the pics in Photobucket or something of that nature?
This works for me-not guaranteeing anything.
Go to a site like Photobucket and I usu save it in my account,if I like the pic.
Then,I hold down copy from the Edit button. Be sure to use the second link at Photobucket called Direct Link.
Come here and find the tree(pic)icon and paste in the first box called Image URL. Then, just hit the Insert button.
It will show you if you are getting it as either a pic will occur or the dreaded URL thing.
Don't know if this makes any sense and I have learned by trial and error. Sometimes,I am helped if someone tells me what message they are receiving and we can figure it out together. Sorry,I am so wordy...we used to have projects where kids had to tell directions. Amazing how much we store in our heads and assume everyone is getting it by ESP or mental telepathy! LOL
You can do it! This one is much easier(here at bco)than some sites. All the best and please tell us abt yourself and the SC beach areas! Getting envious thinking of your beautiful coastal areas!

I need time of day for Barb, Puppy, Candie & Nessie..... as you gals are all very much in the same zone. ****Remember there's a prize for the winner!
There's still ample time for the rest of you beach bums to get registered. I'm looking for dates & times from Jaz, Sahalie, Liz, Susan, Junie, and Donna off the top of my head -- and anybody else splashing at the shore.
Please join me this sunny afternoon on the SS Dreamchaser. It goes fast enough to catch your dream!! I've agreed to pilot this afternoon's dream quest. Let's live LARGE & OUTRAGOUS dreams together. Cheering each other's milestones, and envisioning great accomplishments ahead!! It's so much 'easier' when you're on the right team: the beach team.

Good Morning all. I have been MIA for a very long time so not even going to try to catch up.
Had scans on Friday and I am stable Mable. Not what I wanted but stable is better than progression any day of the week. I just want NED!
congrats to everyone on learning to post pictures. You all are doing a great job and I love seeing them.
Jaz-sorry about your pupster. You know me and my love for animals and I feel your pain.
We had more baby goats last week and finally had 2 girls. They are the cutest little things. We have more due on April 7th.
I have missed you all and I will do my best to not go MIA anymore.
