Hi to all Beach Buddies,
Sorry that I am so slow getting a post to each of you! Still celebrating working computer and iPods as I was stressed. Hate when my info will not access and ask what we used before the computers? How abt our heads??? Well,at least we were supposed to move into the "technology age"when everything would be easier and faster! It is...at times! This is long enough for a book--sorry!
angel---this angel reminds me of you(sorry she left the beach for a quick swim at an enchanted area) as she embodies the spirit and grace that you brought to this thread. I have met so many neat people and seen such awesome pics and sentiments here. I do feel the serenity and cherish the friendships here. It is like leaving real-world "issues"for a quick/slow respite and feeling entranced/transformed into beach mode. Real wordy,just so grateful as this is my favorite thread of all I have read and participated in the two yrs of reading here.
Beautiful sunrise today and loved that fan as that would send some megabreezes,for real. Loved the drink,too--right now would be a good time,pls!
faithandfifty-awesome boat and maybe"borrowing"it cyberally won't send us to the beach patrol station! OLO On second thought,there were some people probably still waiting for our return from our evening beach walks! "Dreamchaser"is a neat name and reminds me of dreamcatcher which I have always thought were terrific house adornments. How are the mom-to-be and little gson?
Ames...great to see you and Stable Mable this time and NED next time. So glad to hear abt the new" kids" and glad that all goes well w/them. I can't believe how fast they have grown. Sounds like you are real busy and that there are new "family kid members" which would be exciting. Did you say Apr 7th as that is next wk--yippee!
divine...terrific with your pic posting! I think that it is such an awesome feeling to post pics. So glad to have you with us telling us what a real beach feels like. I forget each time the smells of ocean water and the way the breeze ruffles my hair! Just saw your last pic and post---awesome colors and designs. Everyone is welcome here as I said in my post to angel abt the acceptance and serenity feeling here. So glad to have you...come back often!
Margo---hi to you and a late but heartfelt Happy Birthday to Ryan.Does it seem like the last twenty-two yrs of his life have been so fast? I bet you still remember details of when he was born. Hope it was a great day! So glad to read that Nancy was feeling better during the wkend.
Neesie---glad that your movie adventure was fun! I was so amused with gd as I read another story of a small child saying he could not talk to strangers. He was talking to his teacher but it was outside the school setting and he had bn told to be careful. Like the idea of a slushie and food and then,take them home on a sugar surge! LOL We did that for yrs at schl parties and sent them flying home for vacations! Bet we were loved by all the parents! LOL
Donna--super on going scuba diving in three weeks! Have a great time and be sure to share some trip pics with us. I hope the storms are not playing havoc with your area of OK. Thinking of you and the Midwestern areas.
BinVA----hi to you my VA neighbor. Hope that your area is seeing more sun than here. Although,we did need rain and have had it for three straight days. Barb---cool pics esp the Mon tree and the "crazy" dog! I think we will be tight friends as I hv always bn crazy and had a good time. Glad you liked that film clip abt chubby man trying to impress.
Candie---sorry for added stress w/heart palps. I know abt the Arimidex quests/issues as I hv takenit for over two yrs now. I nearly drove myself nuts abt Tamoxifen concerns and my med onc told me he rarely had seen se w/it. I chose Arimidex and so far,pretty good. The stress test next Mon will give you more security and peace-of-mind. Will be w/you in spirit and thinking good thoughts.
Susan---sounded like you were describing my life there. I wish you were doing my tax appt tomorr. I rush around and have to tell myself to slow it down;always have bn that way;so,I can't blame it on anything. Well,maybe it goes back to just having one blue bicycle...just kidding! OLO How did you like the Starbucks? At least,cyber calories don't count!
winggirl2---that pic sure would make beach patrol gazing an interesting adventure! LOL I bet like the girls did w/the cute,beach lifeguards,there would be people in need of beach assistance! LOL

Dear Iris,
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, it is beautiful here. I actually live in Bassett, which is northwest of Martinsville, and in the country. We have family of 3 deer who live in our fields and we enjoy watching them every night. The dogwoods are just now budding and the pears are in full bloom. Thanks for remembering where my sis lives. She actually lives north of Roanoake where she boards her horse, right below the Appalachian Trail. It's gorgeous up there and I can't wait to get there this afternoon. The rain of the past three days has been great and when it dries, I'll need to get both the mowers out.

Good Morning Beach Beauties! Happy April! Good riddance to March! It's going to approach 70 today on this side of the Beach so I'm intending to spend some time outdoors with Ava .. assuming the rain stays away. I'm putting my feet in the water and enjoying the scenery today!

Hi, needed a feel of the ocean breeze and to be with some friends.
Well, today the palps decided to pay me a visit. Right now is really bad. So annoying and scarey. Since I went most of yesterday w/out them, just a lil at night, I thought they were going away. As I said, I have had these in the past and as quick as they start, they go away. If I call the cardio. again before the stress test, he may put me in hospital for observation for a few days like last year and I really don't want to do that. Under my arm is still sore and the pain in my boob is not as bad. Gosh, what is wrong with me? I so tired of always having something. I was not like this before bc, I swear!!

Faith, did you record the time I posted yesterday for your grandtwins arrival? I am trying to do things this week for me and things I enjoy doing so I can try to destress. A co-worker asked if she could come over tonight, just to hangout, but I just want to be alone to do some putzing around the house...I felt bad but I just need to do that.
Charlene, I suffer from CRS,too. Got teary eyed when I read you'd be there with me. I just love it here. Oh, look how good we look in bikinis...lol.

SURPRISE!! my DD had the babies, after only 37 minutes of labor, we got there just in the nick of time...... the most amazing thing: she had triplets!! And it turned out to be three boys!!!!!
April Fool's Day!!
No news what-so-ever. Tomorrow is another ultra-sound for her, so we will see if Trevor is still laying breech across the threshold, or if the angels have somehow gotten him organized???
Wonder-boy & I had an adventure this morning and went running a variety of errands. We literally went to 5 places!! AMAZING child, to have that much patience. Just putting him in & our of the carseat that many times was a real test of my patience. It was good to get out of the house.
Divine: I'm in total agreement with the other voices, who've encouraged you to stay here and play along side us, here at the beach. The only parameters are support, kindness and a belief in the healing nature of friendship and the shore. We're tickled that you're a creative type.
CharAngel: Hope that the outside weather does wonders for your spirit. You & Ava deserve some delightful explorations. Spring is coming. Yesterday I saw my first crocus-in-bloom, while out on our wagon-walk.
Margo: I owe you the gratitude in encouraging me to get more mobile again. The long, cold winter turned me into a couch potato, but your example (and Candie's) has been inspirational.
Jaz: sending you a message-in-a-bottle, wishing you to come back to us!
Candie: We'll all stand guard with you until Monday's test. Are you sure you want to be alone? Not accept the invitation of your friend? You know what's best for yourself. I'd probably prefer the company of others if I was feeling ill-at-ease.

I love falling asleep to the long slow lapping of the gentle waves, feel the warm sun on me and the distant sounds of someone rowing their outrigger to work. Gentle sounds make for gentle wonder.

I heard a rumor of a design your own beach towel contest coming real soon and the winner gets dinner with the "beach patrol."
Plus a midnight swim out to the atolls to swim with the turtles.

She has the opportunity to meet a (gasp!) female friend she met on the internet for lunch! She belongs to a couple of the crafty boards....anyhow, I'd really like her to go, as she has not gone anywhere childless since GS was born almost 3 months ago!!
I know she won't be gone long cuz she nurses and the little tyke won't take anything but the boob.................this Gram can't help him out much with that!!

Beach bunnies!! Look at who seems to have suddenly turned on the "big brother" channel. I have no explaination for how/why he would have suddenly figured out how to play with these twin baby dolls? Maybe he knows something we don't?
For the first time today, all day he's carried the two of them around, put them in the swing, pushed them around the house in the laundry basket -- driven them around together in his big dump truck. CUTE.
Sahalie: you've been entered officially into the baby poll. Your sweet pic of the blond mommy at the beach was so adorable..... now you have to find an image of a mommy holding TWO babies!! with a toddler hanging onto her knees..... oh, and a husband flying overhead in an Air Force KC135 transport plane.

Faith, Oh my gosh, you got me!!! lol That's a lot of traveling with a 2 year old that you did. The car seat is a literal pain and I would feel those aches of so many times in and out for awhile! Ava and I got out for a bit yesterday and it was wonderful for my soul as well as hers I'm sure! As far as the youtube clip, I just copy and paste the link. I always make sure there is a space or two put before and after my links and it seems to work for me. Awww, wonder boy is going to make a great big brother!
Sahalie, your posts always have such a serene gentleness about them. What a nice beach towel and that's a gorgeous painting of Faith's daughter with one of the babies! I'll have to start looking for my beach towel for the contest!
