Divine -- glad you liked the song. I love the 'Hair' song and I'm old enough to remember when it came out and was played on the radio non-stop. I'm glad to hear about you not losing your hair again.
Hope everyone is having a great start to their week so far. Its absolutely gorgeous here. I just wish I didn't have to work and could go play outside.

Hi!
Edited by me-forgot something! LOL
Just lost a post, again! Prob should just write a little mini-post. It is cloudy on coast-no rain. Hope Mon goes well for everyone.
Hello Angel-hope you and fam have a good Mon. There are always treasures in an ocean and at the beach. Most of us are walking so fast and not looking w/our eyes open as we don't want to miss the next wave or happening. When you know what you're searching for and know your goals, life has meaning. I found that true in working and walking at the shore. Also, many people will enter our lives and many will read and gain knowedge whether at the beach or elsewhere. I know the treasures that I find often when not even searching. Thinking of you and thanking you for this thread as I hv bn here for the walks and enjoyed the peacefulness and reflections.
Jasmine-had a long post abt those beautiful sailboats. I love the sails and the colors. Saw some at Newport one summer-saw not rode in them.LOL. Would love to sail in not too rough seas in a large boat. Thank you for the lovely pic and the angel this morning. I do rememb the Cowsills very well and hv one song on iPod abt the park and the rain. Thanks for all the remembrances,I finished hgh schl-forty years ago this June. Life seems so fast. Enough-thanks for the good songs and special meanings.
Margo-sorry that you had to cancel the plans Sun night. I know how annoying it is to be ready and show up a day early. I did that once to take my mother to a dr's appt and had to ask to leave early the next day. The dr's off just smiled and said it happened more often than not-esp before the automated ph reminders. Your up-coming fundraiser ball will be awesome. Pls share lots of photos! Glad you got lots of things sorted even if you hd not planned on paper sorting.
Divine-good to see you. I am enjoying all those neat and creative pics that you are sharing. Glad to see you and you do hv an awesome website! Hope you are feeling well today.
Amy-great to see you, too. I think the caring bridge is an awesome website. Did I see that you had one? I need to read that, again,as I read fast. Hope that your Mon goes well and the wknd was less windy and gloomy than the coast. We did need rain-just five days in a row-grew old! LOL. How abt the awesome kids-how big are they?
Shrink-pls let me go with you? I am over the 20 lbs-however,I sure think it sounds awesome. Hope you have a great time! I rememb when it seemed much farther away-the time has clicked on by. Take lots of pics and share w/us. Hope it is so fun! All the best!
Sahalie-know that hammock sure does sound magical and awesome! I think an island setting w/sun and waves would be just great! It just sounds like a wonderful place and let's go!
All the best from NC! Hope Mon brings what you wish it to bring. Best to Beach Buddies! May the sun shine, again, soon as the coast is grey today. Many flowers are blooming-spring is glorious!

Iris -- so nice to see you pop in. Sorry about the lost post. I thought that was supposed to be a thing of the past with the new software but apparently not.
Amy -- glad you enjoyed the song too. I would love to see some more farm pictures.
For you northern ladies who have to listen to us talk about flowers blooming and warm temperatures. Here's a preview of what its like to live in the south in the summer.
************************************
Dear Diary:
May 30th:
Just moved to Montgomery...Now this is a city that knows how to live!!
Beautiful sunny days and warm balmy evenings. What a place! Watched the sunset from a park lying on a blanket. It was beautiful. I've finally found my home. I love it here.
June 14th:
Really heating up. Got to 100 today. Not a problem. Live in an air-conditioned home, drive an air-conditioned car. What a pleasure to see the sun everyday like this. I'm turning into a sun worshipper.
June 30th:
Had the backyard landscaped with western plants today. Lots of cactus and rocks. What a breeze to maintain. No more mowing lawn for me. Another scorcher today, but I love it here.
July 10th:
The temperature hasn't been below 100 all week. How do people get used to this kind of heat? At least it's kind of windy though. But getting used to the heat and humidity is taking longer that I expected.
July 15th:
Fell asleep by the pool. (Got 3rd degree burns over 60% of my body.) Missed 3 days of work. What a dumb thing to do. I learned my lesson though. Got to respect the ol' sun in a climate like this.
July 20th:
I missed Morgan (our cat) sneaking into the car when I left this morning. By the time I got to the hot car for lunch, Morgan had died and swollen up to the size of a shopping bag and stank up the $2,000 leather upholstery. I told the kids that she ran away. The car now smells like Kibbles and shits. I learned my lesson though. No more pets in this heat.
July 25th:
The wind sucks. It feels like a giant freaking blow dryer!! And it's hot as hell. The home air-conditioner is on the fritz and the AC repairman charged $200 just to drive by and tell me he needed to order parts.
July 30th:
Been sleeping outside by the pool for 3 nights now. $1,500 in damn house payments and we can't even go inside. Why did I ever come here?
August 4th:
It's 105 degrees. Finally got the air-conditioner fixed today. It cost $500 and gets the temperature down to 85, but this freaking humidity makes the house feel like it's
about 95. Stupid repairman pissed in my pool. I hate this stupid city.
August 8th:
If another wise ass cracks, "Hot enough for you today?", I'm going to strangle him. Damn heat. By the time I get to work the radiator is boiling over, my clothes are soaking wet, and I smell like baked cat!!
August 9th:
Tried to run some errands after work. Wore shorts and sat on the black leather seats in the ol' car. I thought my ass was on fire. I lost two layers of flesh and all the hair on the back of my legs and ass. Now my car smells like burnt hair, fried ass, and baked cat.
August 10th:
The weather report might as well be a damn recording. Hot and sunny. Hot and sunny. Hot and sunny. It's been too hot to do anything for 2 damn months and the weatherman says it might really warm up next week. Doesn't it ever rain in this damn desert?? Water rationing will be next, so might as well watch $1700 worth of cactus just dry up and blow into the damn pool. Even the cactus can't live in this damn heat.
August 15th:
Welcome to HELL!!! Temperature got to 105 today. Forgot to crack the window and blew the damn windshield out of the car. The installer came to fix it and said, "Hot enough for you today?" My wife had to spend the $1500 house payment to bail me out of jail. Freaking South . What kind of a sick demented idiot would want to live here??0 -
Jasmine,
Your diary of the southern summers is right on and sounds very close to what my friends who live in Arizona tell me.
They say the reason Arizona is so clean is because no one goes out side in the summer.
My uncle's car roof (convertible) actually caught on fire there.
Devine, Is that your daughter and husband in the picture.
Angel Charlene, How is soccer going?
I love soccer, games and tournaments.
Margaret, Hillsb.
I have an aunt and Uncle that live on Inverness up at the top of Hillsb.
Small world.
Well, beach babes and beauties, I just escaped from the dreaded dental chair and an hour of cleaning and a filling.
I don't know why it is but I get just as much anxiety going to the dentist as I do to my oncologist.
My stomach let out grumbles of hunger while trapped in the chair and I had to keep myself from laughing all the while twenty thousand things in my mouth for cleaning.
I am still fizz fuzzed in the head from whatever he injected my gums with.
Hi sweet Iris.
You can be over 20 lbs to go with Shrink.
I just asked her to beam me to where she was but take off 20 lbs if she could. Wouldn't that be great if we could do that.
Sailing today as listed by Jasmine.
Remember your deck shoes and flotation devices.

Hi All,
Just sailing in for a quick HI and another cranberry drink.
UTI getting the best of me.
Had an allergic reaction from the antibiotic. Strange cause I have taken antibiotic b4.
Hopefully I should be beach bound in a few days when feeling better.
Miss everyone.
Hugs
Wings

Wings -- I'm so sorry to hear about your uti and the allergic reaction. You have been missed and we're looking forward to you doing the limbo at the next luau.
Sahalie -- I don't think I've been to the dentist since before diagnosis. I've taken really good care of my teeth. Taking fosomax has me a little spooked to go now. I'm afraid of getting that osteonecrosis thing.

Beach bunnies, I'm back. Have missed you, all!!
Won't attempt to address everybody individually, as I'm not very focused yet.
Just wanted to let you know that all is well here in baby-watch-land. No news to report. DD is over her bladder infection, but now has a sinus infection that's gone south and she's coughing like mad. I think her poor, dear body just doesn't have anything in reserve. Keep on praying, cuz we gotta be getting close now, don't ya think?
We had our first day of spring and nearly hit 70 degrees. Oh happy day!! Got out there with a really, lengthy wagon-walk for wonder boy and then had fun on the porch swing.
I've decided NOT to drive to WI for that conference this coming weekend. Couldn't figure out how to be in both places at the same time. So I'll be staying here, continuing to tend the home fires.
Wings: Keep chugging the cranberries. So sorry to hear about the drug reaction. Please take care of yourself, sweetie. We missed you.
Divine: I just love the various images that you've posted. You've really given us a whole new dimension with your talent.
Jasmine: Thanks for keeping the beach open and everyone having fun to your tune-for-the-day.
Iris: are you still in tutti-fruiti land? always love to read your insight into the beach crowd.
Sahalie: love your sense of humor on the zap-me-20-pounds-lighter concept. why don't you go ahead and invent that for real?
CharAngel: I'm wondering if the pirates have you bound and gagged? Don't let them get ya down. Missing you, hope all is well.
Nessie: Are you doing ok? Wondering how you're doing lately..... seems like I haven't seen you beach-basking for a bit???
Margo: I once got us all dressed up & downtown for a ballroom dance event, only to end up crashing a wedding -- as we were a week early..... and my DH had gotten me flowers! and this was way before bc shook up my brain.
Candie: how did your test go? wasn't it to have been today? or sometime this week perhaps?
Deb & Amy: prayers for each of you as you progress thru treatment.
Barb: send us one of your smiles!
all beach combers, from A to Z hugs and a night of sound sleep -- dreaming of a gorgous sunrise to greet us in the morning
Here's a sunset from last summer, up north!

Hi girls,
Divine, I must have missed your website. Can you post it again?
Amy, what is the caring bridge site?
Jaz, I'm not a sailboater, power boat myself, but I'll take whatever gets me on the water. You need to get to the dentist.
Iris, I love your long posts, especially when you're using the bberry. Better late than never showing up, but there were six of us who went and it's too hard to get everybody together again. Yes, I'm on a roll now, will finish cleaning out the paper this coming weekend. I took three bags to work to shred, my little shredder would never have made it.
Sahalie, when you visit your aunt and uncle, we will have to get together. Hillsborough is very close to me.
Wings, hope that UTI goes away soon.
Faith, you were the original wedding crashers huh?
Divine, I love the pictures; keep posting them please.

Stopping in the Beach thread for just a minute….
I have discovered that Angel/Charlene has been banned from this website because of the latest upheaval brought on by the posting by someone else of some controversial material from another website. Angel/Charlene has had a very tough year in her breast cancer journey and really needs the support and wise words of her bc sisters here at bco. I hate to see someone who is early in this bc journey, and who is under a lot of pressure in her life, get excluded from the support that she needs. Perhaps some of her friends on this thread that she started could write letters to the mods asking that Charlene be allowed to come back here where she can get bc support. Thanks.

A Beach Massage frees your body and mind of the stresses of life and allows you to rejuvenate and connect with the natural beauty and power of the Ocean.

Wow, this really is a very talented group of women.
Sahalie, I like the duck. The convertible caught on fire from the sun. Goodness.
Always hope, your message about the south sounds a lot like what my dh has gone through since we have moved to Missouri.
Divine I would love to see your website. I wish I had taken a picture of me when I was bald. I do have some interesting ones taken on my chemo days.
Celia I would also like to see her come back and have sent a pm to the mods. I feel partially responsible since I was the one who stirred the pot and broke the hornets nest. That was not my intention. I regret that it happened and sincerely apologize to all the innocent people who got hurt.

Good morning Beach Friends.
Celia thank you so much for your support of Angel. I hope she is back with us soon as well.
Candie -- nice to see you popping in. Looks like you are pretty busy these days.
Faith -- thanks for the baby watch update. Still keeping your daughter in my prayers for a safe and healthy delivery. What a funny story about crashing a wedding.
Margaret -- I wish we had a paper shredder where I work. You are right, these little home shredders take forever to shredd and you have to keep emptying the little waste basket.
Sahalie -- I've never had a massage but I've heard that they are nice. I didn't know until recently that you have to get nekkid for them so I doubt I will ever get one.
Susan -- are you in the path of this latest round of storms moving in? Looks like I will probably be going offline in a few hours. Supposed to be some more severe weather here.
Divine -- how are you doing this morning?
Amy -- I hope your day goes well.
Iris -- I hope you have a wonderful day. I agree with everyone that your posts are really great.
Wings -- how are you feeling this morning? I hope the infection is much better.

Who knew there could be a "storm" at our cyber-beach? I've loved this get-away for it's calm, it's reason, it's support, and all of the shared images of idyllic retreats...... and then there are the friendships that I feel growing like spring flowers. When out of the crystal clear blue depths comes a raging storm.
The metaphor seems all too appropriate for this morning's news.
I will hope & pray & petition for forgiveness of whatever has transpired in the past, so that we can get back to the business of supporting one another thru the ups and downs of battling this illness. May calm prevail and may we right our little ships.
Jasmine: that was an amazing tribute in today's song. You are a genius! (Of course I've had the inside scoop on knowing that for a while now.)
Wings: how ya doing today? have they got you on something new to combat this frustration? been there/done that & absolutely don't want the t-shirt. wishing you wellness.
Divine: sending you some energy for today. so glad that you could have company for your treatment. i have yet to figure out how to find videos on your site. will attempt another look. please post the link again.
Candie: give us the update on your stress test..... just as soon as you have the results.
Margo: if you're finished with your spring cleaning, please feel free to come east and get to work out here -- with your new found skills
Sahalie: thanks for continuing to post your pics.... they always bring a sense of traquil renewal to me
Iris: you must return to us here @ the beach, as you are the one to keep us up-to-date, organized and in-the-know..... i'm missing you!! we must keep the beach spruced up for our queen's eventual return. Please do whatever it takes to overcome the feelings of our loss and come return to the sunshine here.
Amy & Debbie: prayers for your continued treatment and the side effects as they rear their ugly heads.... squash 'em flat with a sledge hammer -- if necessary.
Nessie: where are you? i'm starting to get concerned!! don't make me drive up there, with my 36 week pregnant dau in tow, and this wonder-boy strapped on for the ride. we'd look like the Beverly Hillbillies for sure!!
Susan: sunshine for your day.
You sweeties are easily entertained, if all I have to do is recall the various goofy/wedding crasher things I've done over the years. Some time I'll tell you about the incident with the airplane..... that one will really curl your toes as you laugh! Too funny to make it up.
Angel: hope that today finds you in good health, mentally. Know that I'm sending you happy spring-time silliness. The kind that only a two year old can concoct -- and with such sweet innocence & wide eyes.
Let's all join hands in a circle of friendship. Let us make AngelChar proud of her 'brainstorm' and continue on in the tradition that she started.... offering a warm welcome to each and all as they pop in here at the beach. Encouraging each -- whatever predicament is in the offing, and always sharing the best inside of ourselves as a way of demonstrating our strength and courage, when life is unfair and filled with challenge. Let's demonstrate what a fantastic gathering we've got ..... here at the beach!

Yes, we must maintain our tranquil beach in the manner we have become accustomed for all our sakes and for Angel/Char.
It's each of you and our wonderful, serene, wild, joyous, more than tranquil and away from daily pressures beautiful beach that I come here.
Faith, Beautiful post and sunset picture!
Jasmine, When having a massage you have the option of what you want to wear and what not to wear so it's very pleasant for the individual.
I hope you will experience a massage in the near future.
Facials are enough to make one levitate home.
Susan, Yes, my Uncle's convertible top was so ancient it did catch on fire out in the extreme heat of an Arizona summer day.
Charlene, Your beach towel is waiting for you.
Peace to all.

Afternoon everyone,
Divine-no way did your comment bother me. I'm not like that at all. yes no hair for me right now although I do have some sprigs sprouting about on my head. Still in treatment and with mets I will be forever but not always the kind that makes you bald. With hotflashes, bald is not that bad. It doesnt bother me until I get called Mr. and then my claws come out.
Iris-thanks for the comments on the caring bridge site. You should check it out.
charlene-missing you and I too am sorry for everything that has gone on.
Susan-great to see you. Are you still working?
Sahalie-nice comment about the beach towel for Charlene,,that was nice.
Jaz-I need to post some cute baby goat pics. Let me see what I have in photobucket.
Two cute little precious girls!
Amy

Celia, thanks for letting us know about Angel.
Sahalie, a beach massage sure sounds good right about now. The convertible top on fire must have been quite a site.
Susan, did DH have a hard time adjusting to weather in MO? Did he live here when you did?
Jaz, we have lots of shredder bins where I am. I understand you only have to keep tax records for 7 years - I have them dating back to my first job over 30 years ago. I did read that you can scan them and put them on a CD so I may do that since we have a copy machine that will scan them quickly.
Faith, I have lots of cleaning to keep me busy here but I'll keep it in mind if I make it your way. I want to hear the incident about the plane - Neesie always has some good stories too.
Amy, post the link for the caring bridge site so I can check it out. Those kids are cuuuuutttteeeee. Just saw your link as I was signing out so checked it out. Nice. I'll be back to sign your guestbook later.
Lunch time is over, big sigh. Back to work. Tomorrow is my sister's hysterectomy/oopherectomy so don't know when I'll be back on.

Margaret, I will be thinking of your sister tomorrow and hoping all goes well.
