I LOVE a beach party!!!!! It's been too long.
We only have nine more pages of planning..........
Love the latest round of photos. Glorious sunsets!!
Wouldn't it be awesome if we heard from some of the ol' timers!
(p.s. Coonie, I wanna borrow that polka-dot skirt for my fall rounds of events.)

That is a woolly bear caterpillar. The wider the central orange band the longer the winter is supposed to be. That band is usually 1/2 to 1" wide.
0 -
So how many inches is that now??
I have no way to visualize the size..
0 -
I don't know what I was thinking--thr woolly bear is usually 1 1/2 to 2 inches. the orange band is usually 1/4th to 3/8th. If that is a 1 1/2 inch bear the stripe looks 1/2". Sorry my head is foggy tonight.

SERIOUSLY, Lisa, that is an award winning shot above all others.
The background, the composition........... it's like a sherbet swirl delicacy.
We're packing up. Imagine that.
Today is "close-the-place-up-for-the-winter" which is so difficult to do during a week of perfectly gorgous weather. Seriously beautiful in every way.
Wish it was raining like crazy, then I'd be motivated to start heading south.

It is rainy here Faith, does that help?
0 -
yes, i'll borrow some rainclouds/overcast/gloomy skies from anyone with extra
the entire time we've been up here this month it has been GLORIOUS..............
the forcast is for several more days of unseasonably gorgous days, crisp nights
we'll be on the road bright and early.
Lisa, I honestly think that shot should be entered into a contest!!!!

Here's another cool one. This was taken the night hurricane Jeanne blasted through where I lived and was gone.
