Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all those brave men and women...our country and our citizens are grateful!

Hi to all of you,Beach and Bear Buddies,

OK,got the picnic basket ready...getting more supplies!

Anyone want to dip in the pool to cool off?

What abt a game of croquet?

Jaz...sounds like the trip to the lake was lots of fun! Glad you had good weather and fun with friends. Forgot if you mentioned boat riding or not. I just LOVE Netflix and do 8/time esp in winter when I am at my parents' place.I need to lessen the number now;the movies come quickly and that is one reason I got me the PStation to do Blu-ray as movies look sharper. I cannot rememb when I last went to the real movies..funny! I did go alot and then the cost plus(need eats)made the home movies better for me. I did Blockbuster, too;which was slower in my area. My preference was Netflix for the money...don't know abt other areas w/Blockbuster.

Neesie...those wildlife images are neat! Your turkey flying by while you were doing make-up one morning was cool. Bambi or sibling looks really good...you must have tons of flowers...600 is he running a store? I know your yard is nice! I rememb last yr w/that snake visitor and the garage...was it the door hit the snake or did a hoe? See,no memory bank here! LOL Thnx abt the parents as I go back this wk. Came hm for bldwk and appts for veh...all those nec items. With gas at $4.03/gal,I make fewer trips and stay longer when I vis.

Sahalie....hope that you are having a great day there.I was reading the descriptions of all the fun activities and cabana friends! I love the things planned and may be taking a nap,but I will be back. Stayed up way too late this morning and partying(with my printer)so,I am paying the piper. I sure would like to go to Bora Bora as the exotic island(s)and the peacefulness just sound awesome. Think we should all go and have a fun vacation! That would be so great if we could meet someday. Thanks for the neat way of writing and including all of us...just like I am there(and I am in my mind!) Hope that your day goes well. That Margarita Machine sure looked pretty! It had such neat colors and samplers over at Target! Ha!

Margo...your wkend sounded fun with the surprise party. I think the expression on Annie's face must hv bn priceless! I thought of Robin Leach when you mentioned the champagne brunch! I loved that show and the neat places he visited. Sounds like it was delish and bet you, all, had a great time. I know there must hv bn wonderful food...yep,me mentioning food! Now,you wonder why nothing is fitting this week and I am getting ready to go to a cook-out and wondering what can I squeeze my body into today? It sure was fun, though!!!Cool

Wings...hoping you're having a great wkend! I cannot remember when you are returning home but we sure do miss you! Is school almost out there? There are 11 more schl days here as state tests were given last wk in many schls. I sure did not miss that pressure! Those were tiring days of saying to the children to read, again, and bubble, bubble, bubble those blanks. No wonder I am now just figuring-out why I am such a bubble/bobble head!HA!

faith...how are you and the lovely family...those twins and WB are sure beautiful! What do you call boys...handsome? I call babies beautiful. What are your plans for the day? How did the meetings go last week abt the TV programs?Glad that your trip went well and you know it does not seem that long ago when you were making trips and the snow was so deep. Gee,the time is going quickly here at the beach. I can remember when you were flying from Fl to TX,I think it was. It seems like a fast winter and now, fave time is here...Beach Music and Beach Buddies!!!

Susan...hey to my blue ribbon buddy! I see that and think of the neatest thoughts abt a special person! How is Buffy these days? Maybe you could post a few pics sometime as that is one lovely dog! Hope you and dh are having great weather and a good Memorial Day!

footprints/Debbie...how are you today and hope the day goes well. Is it sunny and cool there...no humidity here, just awesome! I am enjoying it because just like the mosquitoes, that humidity will return in force! Take care and thanks for sharing your birthday. At least,I did not eat all of the  birthday cake this time...like I do here!We shared it with friends. Thinking of you!

BMD...hi to you in CA! How is  your weather today? Hope you, your boys and dh are having a great Memorial Day! Good to see you!

Iris/bearyproud to be a Spartan and a patriotic American! All the best to all of you angels, bears and friends. Enjoy your day!

It is Memorial Day - time to say a word of thanks to our troops, past and present, for believing in freedom and allowing us to continue to have it.  Thank you.

Neesie, I still have pie crusts too!  Now I have to figure out what to do with them.  Don't forget the funnystory about mom.

Sahalie, when Ryan was a tiger cub and boy scout, the pack used to go to Golden Gate National Cemetery and place flags on all the graves.  That's what your pic reminds me of.

Iris, it was quite a feat to pull off Annie's surprise party - we had to send a phony invitation out to Joe's birthday party to keep her from figuring it out plus her birthday was a few weeks ago so she really was not expecting it.

The ladies in front of me and behind me in line at the grocery store both said it looked like I was having a party - hated to burst their bubble, but it was my normal weekly grocery shopping.  We do eat well though.

Popping in with a Good Night to all!

Hope we all remember to set our alarms tonight..........a holiday during the week always throws me off!  It was just DH and me today...........I must have been an awfully good girl cuz he took me to Home Depot with him today......He said not to get used to it.........That's his store!!!!  Lucky me....we ordered 4 new windows today...................hold me back..the excitement is wayyyyyyy to much!!  Picked out the bathroom Counter Top I think I want and purchased 3 Knobs....just little knobs for coat closet and linen closet.

To add to my animals of the day.............DH just told me the 'Big Fat' raccoon is under the deck again.........Sorry, no pics....to dark!

Iris................Husbands injury WASN'T from planting flowers.............It was all GARLIC!!!!!!!!!!!!  For sure, we will not have any Vampires around here!!

Great idea on the Birthday list.....................I know there used to be an actual link with important dates/appointments on it...a calendar.  Very nice....but NO I don't have a clue how to do that!  I hate to add mine right now, cuz it will be here before I know it.......................born in 54 and turning 54..........(OW...that hurts!)

    Adding to the list:

    Faith....Dec. 13

    Margo...Jan. 11

    Iris.......Aug. 11

    Neesie...Denise....June 14

Come on Sahalie, Wings and EVERYONE....add to our list!

Okay............MOM..............before you all think I am a terrible person...please know that I love my Mom with all my heart and I help her alot................but, you know how sometimes when something isn't funny you get a 'visual' of it and can't stop laughing????

When she told me...........of course I got the.........I told your Sister last night and shouldn't have because I worried her.   Then when she told me.....it was..That's why I don't like telling you girls..then you worry about me.  THEN...........she preceded to tell 3 different people while we were at the Doctors!

Anyhowwwww............My Mom is appx. 4'10" and at the Docs Friday she weighed 99 pounds..............She was taking her shower Thursday night and something happened to the water pressure...........'alledgely' the pressure got really strong and almost knocked her off of her feet!!!!!!!!!  She is okay, caught herself with the grab bar........but she did hurt her back....(severe osteo).......................Okay, big buildup over nothing..Sorry.............I just keep getting the 'visual' of the shower force blowing her down.........!!

Okay...........allow me a few minutes of insanity.......it's okay, and so is she.........................THE END!

So we ate the Best ribs today.............Yummy for my Tummy!  And it all Slips to my Hips!  Then I treated us to a Fresh from the Freezer/into the oven Apple Pie!!

Must be getting tired.......cuz, I'm rambling on here!

    toooooooo tired to think straight...............

attempting to get ready for a 'different' big-deal this weekend. i am leading a retreat at a state park for two days -- for in-home-care-providers. pretty cool. sponsored by United Way. sure wish you were one of the participants, Wings, we could have a seriously fun time. it was first come, first served for registratants, but you have to be in Ohio. (silly rule.)

tomorrow morning is our return trip to the pediatrician..... for their 1st month check up. can't wait to see what they weigh. i swear, Trevor seems to grow by the hour!! it will be interesting to compare the two in height as well... he looks like a mack truck next to her.

so far it looks like nEEsie is next up in the birthday sweepstakes. the rest of you get your name's and digits on the list.

three week count-down till our Aruba departure. pinch me, i still can't believe it. our first ever such adventure together. wish i had time to be sure to get an upgrade for the memory stick thingy in my camera. wonder if our place will have connectivity?

hugs around the campfire tonight friends................

    OOps double post.

Must be that OOps lady or grumpy "Bill Slowsky" this morning.

This guy is slowing my laptop to a crawl this morning.

Let's give him a "chill lettuce leaf".

Thank goodness for the "edit" feature.

Shower Curtain hung here, too. Thanks to Iris for the inspiration & Sahalie for the confirmation that I'm not alone.......

I've been needing to schedule my 'regular' mamo for the last several weeks -- grating on my remaining strings that I kept 'forgetting' each day to do it & would remember the nagging Chinese water torture in the middle of the night.

Anywho. I just got off the phone & it's now scheduled. Took about 3.5 minutes or so to accomplish. Not sure how much was psychological & how much was sleep deprivation, but I wouldn't let myself read today's posts until I got it done. See what good coaches you are. Thank you.

So in a nutshell: Trevor weighed in at nine POUNDS and is 50% for both height and weight. Little mini-McKenna was 7 pounds, 7 which puts her in the 10% for both..... he really does look like a mack truck next to her. Pediatrician says they're 2 different people and get used to the differences, no concerns what-so-ever!! Happy day.

Wonder Boy has just awakened and is calling: "GG, GG" thru the house. If I hurry maybe the others can remain conked out. DD has another UTI & I just picked up some meds..... hopefully we can get that nastiness knocked out for good and put some more spring in her step.

    Hugs all around the beach.

Quiet day here at the beach...........hope all are okay!

Faith.........amazing how fast the little critters can grow........so glad to hear all is fine with them!!

I'm just running through tonight.............trying to order the hunk of Granite for the bathroom vanity.................geesh..the store says it is in stock and the computer says it isn't....................think I better turn it over to The DH before I end up ordering something way big or way small!

Talked to Susan for a bit today............she was on her mini road trip and knowing she doesn't focus on two tasks at once any better than I do......I didn't keep her long!!

Okay Gals..........Tomorrow is DENTIST Day.................Please tell me that I'm not going to freak out or have another pass out/panic attack.  That was a year and a half ago and I still think about it!!  And I'm not even afraid of the Dentist!!  Anyhooooo............my two little front bottom teeth are coming out and a partial is being put in..........all in one visit................okay, so he says!

Sahalie..........I think that turtle is visiting my computer too!  Can we all say SLOW!

    Where are Wings and Jaz?

Wings, are you back from your Bike and Bonding weekend?

Jaz, did I scare you away with my pics of animals??

Someone wanted to see the quilt that I mentioned Shirley made for  Pinkstock last year..............I'm sure someone has a better pic than me, but I'm going to go find it..........

Neesie...just for you! So,now we've got the language and know what the words mean. My dentist carries on this one-way conversation and when I c chime-in,he has to suction the mouth. Then, will say-you just can't keep  those teeth dry,can you? Well, you asked me questions while you are doing the work and I have to answer, right? Funny man! While bonding the last tooth last wk,he said that I kept the tongue off those teeth. I said I learned the hard way because that stuff tasted bad/nasty...whooooo! Good luck and you will be just fine,I know! We have been thorugh the "dental demolition derby" you and I! This will be a piece of cake...well,for me the piece of cake prob is why I had the cavities...yes,I will stop before you fall completely asleep!

Hi to everyone else...hope that your Tuesday has been a good one...

Welcome back,Wings! Glad to see you and can't wait to hear abt your trip. We missed you and sounds like you had a great time. I imagine you saw some neat places and hope that you got some photos of the places visited. Don't forget to add your birthday to the list. That is a great idea-sorry,I have forgotten whose idea(s)to start this...thanks!!

Jaz...how are you and missed your song today. I was at the Jeep dealership early and thought of you as you had a good deal there, too. I was lucky to get a nice person to deal w/and extended warranty for part of the bill. However,I have kept the car serviced on-time but it looks like a Junky Jeep! That was nice to get a great compliment abt yours.

Sahalie...if you see a huge big suitcase-do not panic. That would be me in the baggage trying to swing a trip unseen to French Polynesia. I know it has to be so neat and glad that you are planning the next visit;can'r wait to see pics! Good luck with the wedding and hope that all will go well;sure that it will.

Margaret...I am with you when I have to be somewhere(like Jeep dealership this AM),I wake up and have a hard time the next day. Hope tonight is better sleeping-wise and I have already had a nap this aft. I was wiped-out from wkend and all the croquet and beach activities! Think not sleeping might have bn real reason...but,I did visit the beach in my mind, anyway. What things have you planned for the week?

faith..."our"twins are looking so healthy and terrific abt Trevor and McKenna's dr's vis. I am sorry abt Sarah's UTI as that is annoying;hoping for less aggravation tomorr for her. The trip to Aruba,I can swing it....as I was saying to Sahalie, that would be me in that heavy cargo in the plane's baggage area! LOL You have a great time and enjoy! Great that you hv the mammo scheduled and it will be fine;the first one was annoying;but, you will be fine. Imagine us all there in the waiting rm,me with some "real magazines as that will be my contribution. I am rambling on and on...thinking of you!!!

Susan...hi to you and hope that you had a good trip. Not sure where Neesie said you went as I can't look back without this going poof...again! Hope that the wkend was good. Thinking of you!

footprints/Debbie...how are you and what is your week like? Hope to see a post telling us what is happening there. I am always glad to read your posts and admire you so much. Thanks for sharing time here at the beach.

Have a happy Wed.,all of you wonderful Beach Buddies!

Iris/bearlysmart today as I "lost"cell phone and eyeglasses! They were, both, in same room just was "bearlybrained"after dealing w/Jeep and rental vehicle.

OK...my Jeep is looking better and better all the time as this looks similar to mine(thankfully,no water issues for me...power steering it was);life could always be worse..it is all relative, sound like a TV show...sorry!

Happy,Happy Wed...leaving for some walking on the shore and chatting with the seagulls...bird-brained as I am,should be easy! Cool I am ready for some sun and salty water...will think of all of you while I am there.

These shells look bigger than the beach in NC. It is like one of the Sci-Fi movies...return of the shells...getting shell-shocked in NC....or "shell-tered"from the beach storms...time to sleep as I am getting punchy!

Good morning Beach friends.  Happy Wednesday.  Sorry I didn't get a chance to post yesterday but it seems like the day back to work after a holiday is busy busy.

Margaret -- I have never seen or smelled tuberoses but now you have me curious.  The lake was wonderful.  There was actually a nice breeze blowing and it was very relaxing.

Neesie -- your posts are starting to look like Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom!  Do you remember that old show?  I used to watch it each week.  I hope you DH's hand is better.  Woohoo...a Home  Depot shopper.  Next thing you know you'll be giving Toolman Tim a run for his money.  That must be some really good water pressure in that shower head to knock someone over!

Faith -- those babes sure have grown.  9 lbs is great.  I wouldn't worry about little McKenna.  She may be small but sometimes the small ones are little firecrackers.  Just remember:  does a dime feel small around a bunch of nickels?  Aruba sounds like a cool trip.

Wings -- welcome home and I'm glad you had a nice trip.

Well I have to run for a bit...

    Surprise song of the day!

yesterday was 8th grade graduation so I officially have a high school boy in my house.....somebody saveeeeeeeee me!

Faith-those pictures you post are wonderful.  Love the cute little baby feet.  Nothing cuter than little baby feet.

    Good morning beach beauty angels.

Minor disturbance on the beach this morning.

Our beach patrol is out this morning fumigating for an infestation of sand nits.

The beach will be clean and ready for our morning jog ASAP.

Iris has some great lotion too.  Oceans Potions.

We should all try some and it smells yummy.

Jasmine, On the USA Poll. I don't doubt it for a sandy second.

When our beach patrol has completed their mission the boys will put up the "safe sand" sign.

I guess the beach patrol isn't quite done yet as I just had my hello to everyone sunk in the sand.

I began by welcoming Amy home and saying I wish we could make your fingers feel better Amy.

So we have some fun beach outfits for you to pick from to cheer you.

    *

Also to Margaret, Have fun today with the GKids.

    *

Neesie, you and I will be in the dental chair together.

I get through the ordeal by thinking of an hysterical scene from a TV show where the wife and husband are driving in the car and she opens a piece of tissue and there in all her screaming disgust is the molar he had pulled at the dentist.

Thinking of that scene gives me the giggles while in the dental chair.

Loves and flip flops to each of our beach angels.....

Sahalie - You have a new avatar is that you? Did you help plan any of the family relative's wedding since you have such great ideas?

Amy - Great to hear the drugs are working on the MRSA. Congrats on DS 8th grade graduation.

Nessie - The quilt is beautiful - looks like a lot of love and hard work went into. Thank you for sharing. Love your wild kingdom pictures - teehee. We have had wild turkeys too. They use to come and peck on our windows - made a mess everywhere. I will try and post pix later.

Iris - Glad your Jeep is fixed and nothing major. My Catholic school day care children are out of school on Friday May 30 and public school is out June 6. I will have 6 full time children for the summer. I use to hire assistants and have had some great ones. The state allows me to watch 6 children by myself anything over requires helper. I am licensed for 12 children but prefer having a smaller crew of 6 then I don't have to worry about hiring a helper. Not much of a profit anymore if I hire out. The summer fun begins soon for me ....YIKES. I wish you were here to help me. LOL

Faith - I would of been at the Kweeltown Park fun in a heartbeat sitting front row. Sounds like a good thing for in home licensed providers. Our beach babies sound like they are growing like little fishes. How has WB adjusted to his new siblings?

JaZ - Hope you are getting caught up at work so you can hang out on the beach. Thanks for the warm welcome home.

FPAngel - Any luck with insurance co?

Margo - How did the grandkids visit go? If that is you in the avatar you sure do not look old enough to have grandchildren.

Susan - Hope you are having a nice trip - I will have to go back and read as to where you went.

No pictures to share of my wkend trip. It was pretty generic no lighthouse visits. I did find a great path behind our hotel and went for a long walk while DH snoozed for a nap. We went to the casino for awhile and played slots - no luck on winning. Weather was nice for riding motorcycle. We had some loud neighbors two doors down from our hotel room. All I heard for 2 hours was "yea baby whooooohooooo." Lots of partying going on for a bachelors party. That morning before we left I stood in front of the bachelors room and hollered a LOUD "yea baby whooohooo". He was probably so out of it he never heard my loud morning greeting.LOL

I do have lots of pictures from other trips I will have to share.

    Beach Babes Birthday List update:

    Amy - Dec. 1

    Faith - Dec. 13

    Margo - Jan. 11

    Iris - Aug. 11

    Nessie - June 14

    Wings - Feb. 3

Earthling Twins - April 22 teehee

    Hugs to all

Susan, Beach patrol will love your help and the cabana boys just plain LOVE YOU.

    Congrats on your training deal.

I just got home from an hour and a half in the dental chair.

The side of my mouth feels like a brick, I can't feel yet and am slurping OJ from a straw.

Neesie, how are you doing since your dental visit today too?

MY mouth is sooooooooooo sore.....................got my two bottom toothies out....a few stitches put in......a temporary partial in.......................can you believe the Dentist used 5 syringes of freezing crap??????????  He wanted the whole lower jaw and gum line froze...........this he accomplished..........I'm still talking in the language that Iris posted for me this morning!  Sahalie, we should give each other a call and see who can understand who first!!

Surprise....I get to go back tomorrow....he didn't spring that on me until today....guess he thinks he has to check things out and something else that I conveniently forgot!

Good part is...............DH was going to bring me home some Egg Drop Soup......but can't do hot cuz of the clotting issue........SOOOOOOOOOO....DH went and bought me 2 cartons of Edy's Ice Cream!!!!!!!!!!!  Calories so do not count when it is all you can eat!!

Time for Ice pack..................hope all of you are doing well!

Hi to all of you,Beach Buddies!

Neesie,so sorry abt the teeth...glad you got some ice cream as you deserve it! I sure hope you got my fave flavors as I am in such withdrawal. Got to work on the next weigh-in and had to start giving up the four basic food groups: junk, junk, junk, and more junk...how do you like my seafood diet??? You see a food and you try it!! Then, you diet and diet and diet...right before the dr's appt and then...just kidding! I do eat "normal"food,sometimes...so boring and healthy, though!!! LOL

    Take care! Thinking of you!

This is the way it has looked in NC abt all day. We did need rain,at one point,so I won't complain...much cooler today, too. Got my Jeep and that is great! Woo-hoo! I like having my Jeep be able to make turns and the steering wheel not do some weird noise stuff. It sounded like it was in pain...no more! Whoopee!

Have a great evening! I will be back later to say hi to everyone! Thinking of all of you!

Irisangel/bearyspartany bear who is bearlysane these days but bearyhappy!
