Everyone has written such nice posts and here I come with a fly by of potpourri!

Apparently I have spent sometime at Mario's with WB........Doesn't say much for my reputation......but for the life of me, I can't remember who WB is!  The only name that comes to mind is "Wayne Brady!"

Somebody asked if there was a picture of the quilt that Shirley made last year..There are, and I will see if I can find it...........a beauty for sure!

This weather has got to improve!  They are saying we should have a warm weekend.........a blessing for sure!

Gotta go back and find Jasmines (I think) recipe for Salmon..........it would be much to easy to copy it right away!  I've always run my life 'bass ackwards'.........and I'm to old to change now!

My DD is graduating with her Masters next month!!  Quite an accomplishment as she took all her classes (part time) while working full time, 2 pregnancies and raising babies!  She is on Maternity Leave for a year right now.......she also took a year off when Baby #1 was born.  It happens to fall on my 54th...(wow, that sounds OLD!) and to me is the perfect gift.  SOOOOOOOOOOO....got a little carried away there.  I want to get her something special as I am so proud of her.  Suggestions are needed.........please!  Something 'keepable' and 'affordable'......and I'm at a loss.  I'm thinking jewelry....but don't know what.  I know what I'd like to get her, but $$ say noway!  You know those "journey" necklaces....I've seen them with 3 diamonds in them..............How neat would that be....One for each degree she has earned....Associates, Bachelors and Masters!  But I can't see that happening.........unless I hook up with Mario and the Cabana Boys and literally 'hooker' up!

Seriously, if anyone has any ideas please share with me!

Margo..gonna hit the internet for 'cooking light'..............last night I ate a piece of Tilipia (sp) and Black Beans........THEN......I rewarded myself with what was supposed to be a small bowl of strawberries (From California, no less!)...........Well it seemed silly to not put a slice of the Angel Food Cake in the bottom of the bowl.......and it seemed quite foolish to leave such a small amount of the strawberries in the tupperware.......so they went in the bowl............now, how stupid would it be not to put some LITE Cool Whip on top of it all!!!!!!!!!!!  Go figure!

Sahalie, Iris, Faith, Wings (where do you live?), Susan, Amy and Footprints....who did I forget??.....Saying Hi to all!

Good evening to our east coasters beach beauties and good afternoon to our west coasters.

The temps and weather today have been perfect today.

80* and breezes. Doesn't even feel like 80*

Margaret and I live 1 hour 20 min. from one another and that's if you hit all the green lights on 19th through the park.

Faith, those roses are gorgeous.  You have a really good camera.

    So many happenings with everyone.

    Graduations, Congratulations!

    Appointments, Prayers for "All's well"

    Recipes, Fantabulous looking.

Susan, I saw the pitcher on the news.  What a wonderful story.

It was very emotional when all his team ran up and hugged him.

Jasmine,  I'm so happy your appt. is behind you and all is great.

For this evening *  good old guitar strumming up in the sand dunes with a big ole fire and s'mores on the menu.

So grab your needfuls, very important persons and your warmest beach towel and head for the dunes this evening.

Full moon paradise on the beach tonight.

I played all day out in the very fine weather so am ready to nestle into a big soft sand dune and listen to the music.

    *

I love to see the good in things we do, I didnt get to light the candled at the walk, It started at 6pm and went til 12 the next day (90) Everyones hanging in and fighting! Good Job! Be back later. Footprintsdebbie,

I am so glad to know you are enjoying a cooler day too.

Since you didn't get to light the candle at the walk, what say you go buy a pretty new candle for you and light it at home.

The meaning goes to the same and you will benefit from the glow and fragrence of the candle.

    Just an idea.

I am amazed you are dealing with full body LE.

I didn't know there was such a side effect.

Here is a little sumptin sumptin just for you from the beach.

    * For Footprints beach babe Debbie

    XOXO

Imagine getting ready to make our first outting to a restaurant with the whole circus crew and going out the front door to find a great big box on the front porch. Bringing it into the house, we realize that the 'beach-baby-shower' continues. Amazing. Simply amazing. Absolutely and completely amazing.

    So here's what we found........

    Something special for WB/Wonder Boy:

Since the camera was ready, we took a picture of Sarah and the babbeez:

Then we wrapped Baby A in his brand new beach blanket:

And not to be outdone, Baby B cozied up on her new beach blanket:

faith...wow! You have the most beautiful family! Each picture shows so many new details and I think how awesome to "know" your fam! Thank you for sharing these...love the gifts for WB and he is so cute! You should do commercials as he would be wonderful...I will be his talent agent/repr...kidding you;but,he does have the most wonderful eyes and expressions! Sarah and twins,you...all of you look so great and so happy. I was just thinking abt the contest and what a fun thread this is! I know Wings was so thrilled to have the beautiful gifts and such treasures...they grow up way too fast!

Hope you and all of the Beach Buds have a great day! I have five big projects and med appts between now and Fri. So,if I am MIA,pls send chocolates and Starbucks!

Iris-angel/bearlysane and bearyimpressed with such wonderful photographers here at the Beach! Wow...you all are incredible! Thanks for cheering me up as I am "starving" and have another 10 hrs of fasting...who counts, though? This way,I will be able to eat and plan such a wonderful meal...not sure if this is what my internist has in mind for me...prob not! Ha! Ha!

Good morning Beach Ladies.  Its Wednesday which means the week is half over.  Kind of the glass half full kind of thing.

I thought I'd play a little country and what better summer song than 'Cheap Seats' by Alabama.

    Surprise song of the day!

Faith - Thanks for sharing pictures of the family. Everyone looks rested and healthy. Dear Sarah looks amazing she is beaming w/ pride. The beach blankets are adorable - are they home made?

Iris - I remember Rainbow Brite - she was a colorful cutie. Good luck today w/ your blood work. Hope you treat yourself to a BIG lunch.

JaZ - Loving the country music since I am the country bumpkin. I may whine about living in the sticks but we do love the small town atmosphere. And we are only a half mile from the main hwy way. I even married my high school sweetheart. We have been married for 30 years - 2 children.

FPAngel - I admire your spunk while you are dealing w/ LE. Stay on the insurance company sometimes they need a kick in the behind.

Nessie - The journey necklace sounds like a wonderful gift for your daughter. With the holiday approaching maybe some of the department stores will have some good sales.

Margaret & Sahalie - Are either of you near Concord? They have a great high school football team. We held the record in high school for the most consecutive football wins. Concord recently beat our record. Our town was nicknamed "The Streak". The former players and the present eat, sleep, and live the glory days of the streak.

Don't know if any of you city slickers have county fairs? Guess who is coming to one of our county fairs this summer? BEACH BOYS - how awesome is that?! I wish we could all go!

    Hugs to all

Afternoon ladies, had the grands last night and this morning and had no time.  It's lunch time now so jotting a quick note before I have to go back to work.

Faith, you have such a beautiful family.

Iris, my husband is having blood work today too so he's going to be grumpy when I get home, after not eating for 10 hours.

Wings, that must be De LaSalle you are talking about.  They have an awesome record.  My son played football in high school and his high school made the CCS championships every year - we always thought playing against De LaSalle would be a great game.  We have the San Mateo County Fair by us and it wasn't that long ago that all of my kids went to see Kenny Chesney playing there before he was famous.

    Ok, back to work.

Is anyone having trouble with the boards tonight??  It's taking forever for anything to open or post........even got a visit from "Oh Dear".............so I'll keep this short before she blasts me again!

Sahalie:  The weekend trip sounds great!  I have a tendency to 'not do to well' on Catamarans............but for the food, snorkeling and cabana boys...I'll stick a 'sea sickness patch' behind my ear and enjoy!

Is this crazy or what?  From April 20 till May 20th.........I spent $281.00 in gas.................and DH is around $400................!

Love the pics of our Cyberbabies........they are soooooo cute, Faith!  Sarah looks great.......when does Hubby come home?

Iris............Dentist...such a bad word!  I simply have to think the word and I end up in his office!  Every tooth in  my mouth has a crown on it......and thanks to the gift that keeps on giving..............my two front bottom teeth are loose............bone loss............so, I've had impressions done and will be getting the things pulled and a partial on the 28th.!  Trying to change the date as our Komen Walk is the 31st!

Wings................I'm sure I sent you a pm..........(I think)....if the "oh dear" lady didn't eat it up!

I'm submitting.......don't want to lose this!

    Everyone have a good evening!

I've been having a little trouble as well.  I sent a couple of pm's earlier and one completely disappeared from the 'sent' bucket so I redid it so if someone gets two pm's from me saying practically the same thing, you'll know why now.

Wow! I see we're on "Discussion Boards" again -- rather than the new and improved Community Knowledge Exchange. Funny.

So this was a massive day for sure. Wonder if my brain will ever turn off, so that I can fall asleep if the opportunity presents itself?

Made my last visit of the season to Children's Hospital....... then:

Had the BIG meeting with the ed pub co regarding our upcoming project. Then came and changed a couple of diapers and went to 'my' house for the meeting with the TV people. They are very young, very optomistic, and very eager to make things work. They are on the "sooner" rather than later plan..... and have had numerous meetings prior to tonight.

Wouldn't that be something? Will you still be my friends? You'll keep me grounded and not allow any diva nonsense I'm sure. This promises to be an interesting fall one way or the other. Joy. Joy. Joy.

    See if I can sleep.........

thanks for the loving comments about the people i love. i never thought of us as 'good looking' till all of your kindness: haha. i guess we're better looking than i knew: LOL.

    hugs hugs hugs

Edited to add that I leave in the morning for a 'quick pop' to Chicago. Another 13 hours of driving for me to sing for about 3 hours. This is a first of it's sort. Driving over there for an end-of-the-year songfest. Get outta town. This must have sounded good to me 7 months ago when I said yes???? Some solitude in the car might be good for my brain.......... Don't know where i'm staying, or if they'll have web. So I'll see everyone at the catamaran for all of the fun!!

I'll bring the frisbees again, cuz i had so much fun last time.

Will be back tomorrow - American Idol finale on so gotta watch.

Good Morning, all of you,Beach Buddies! Hope you don't go into a sugar coma looking at this as that is what I had yesterday. After the sticking and drawing three tubes of blood...not that bad except the tech was abt as interested as me flying to the Moon/cardboard personality...anyway,Whole Foods was calling my name! So,to balance out the food groups(we,all, learned we must eat from the big four basics...fifth one being the whatever group,too)...this is what I had! Oh,my,goodness...smaller little birthday cakes.

That must have been enough cream for the state of NC! Oh,well, got calcium covered for the next sev months, what do you think??? LOL

faith...Wow! Terrific  on the new videos, books,TV deal...sounds interesting and I bet you have an intellectual property rights lawyer already chosen and meeting with producers and agents.  You are so smart and together! Hi to little WB and the lovely twins...do all babies take on their personalities so young? It seems that babies of today's world are look so much more like their own person at an early age.

Sahalie...lovely catamaran and I saw such similar ones in Bermuda.seems a lifetime ago. The water in your pic is beautiful! The descripts sound better than what I ate...more healthy, anyway. After my last three wks,and no more med appts for abt a month...I am treating myself. Hope that your wk goes well and thanks for such neat activities. Your descripts are always so neat and I can pic myself there and watching or sitting on the beach applying the sunscreen and the suntan oil tropical fragrances wafting from other beach buds. Wow,I just read back over the menu and we are going to be eating some reallydelicious foods...all that exercise will be awesome.

footprints/Angel...how are you and how is your week going? I always enjoy reading your posts and am so glad that you are here. There are many good friends who post here. It began with a great, dear friend's angelic dreams and visions coming into reality. Glad to have you share time on the beach and have a nice Thur! I love candles and collect them, too. Whenever I go to the groc stores or Target,I always get a few.

Margaret...how are you and who won on AI? Did I read that the final two had the same first names...like David, maybe? I read it quickly and do not watch TV,at all,so maybe lost. I lived on TV all my childhd and adult yrs until one day, just quit and only watch movies and do the computer. Ask me why I purchased TVs in the past few yrs for parents and me? I think weather things and breaking-news events, plus DVD in TV...now Blu-ray will bring back the fun as the pixels are awesome, aren't they? So,are you impressed that I baked that cake above and just pretended that Whole Foods did to make them feel better? I give them the little, white boxes so they feel like real chefs!!! HA! Hope that your day goes well and wish I could do the cooking;but,hey...I can slide the plastic and what is that abt dinner will be served as fast as my finger can dial/punch the buttons for delivery! LOL

Jaz...hey to you and hope that your Thur goes well. I need to go and check out the beach music. I like Country,too...great to be validated for all kinds of music now. Elvis was called country and he sounded more like R&B to me or Blues, etc. So,what have you got planned for the wkend? I just listened to the one abt cheap seats and that was really cute. Bet many of us have sat in seats for ballgames, plays, etc that we got views of the crowds and bottomed-out ourbacksides. Never heard that one from Alabama or the other groups as I am so not with what is actually happening,on Earth,so many times. Thanks!

Wings...hi to you! How is your week and the kids, how are they? I bet that you stay busy with all the happenings there. Do you have assistants that help you with your business? I would think there would be planning of lessons and supplies to buy, right? Would you believe my senior project in Early Childhd Dev clas was to design a daycare from scratch and outfit it with everything, etc for a certain amt of money.  I rememb driving my father's truck on the farm and calculating the #of big blocks, small blocks, etc. We have lots of county fairs here and in AL where I spent my childhd. Also got the state fair here as its the cap city. I hardly go as it is so big now and walk, walk, walk. County fairs were the big fall entertainment in my childhd...still rememb we sent projects there, contests and lots of cool singers...wow:Beach Boys! That is awesome!

Susan...how are you this week and what are your plans? I have my big blue ribbon right by my computer. Do I need to move it near the fridge as I am the best at eating, chatting, spending, etc. But you are the best at making me feel appreciated and I really am lucky to know such neat women! Thank you,Susan!

Amy...hi to you and hope that AL weather is like it is here. This is awesome with rain here and the temps lowered. The kids were actually wearing jackets and coats yesterday. For NC towards the schlyr ending, that is pretty weird. We are more like the heat there in summer.

Neesie...I liked the gift idea you mentioned and Wings is right abt it. What a great accomplishment with chidren, working and accomplishing schl, that is awesome. So,what do you hv planned for today?? Do you vis tomorr? You are kind abt me visiting my parents. You just don't want to read abt it in the National Enquirer, right? Daughter and Father have difference of opinion as Father says he isn't interested in searching for a "lost"BlackBerry!" Father holds up a battery charger for cell phones in cig lighter! Daughter pounds head on Jeep steering wheel and wonders where headache came from?LOL should be bearlysane/bearyinsane,more like it! BlackBerry was under his feet! LOL

Long and  longwinded winding road... thinking of all of you...take a long nap after my post and see you on the Beach in the fall...kidding! Thanks for the time, support and bearyspecial wishes to all angels, friends and bear buddies!

Iris-angel/hi to another Spartan wonderful bud!

Our twin " princess" is in the pink of things and need some blue for the "prince" and his brother,WB...sunshine and some rainbows. How abt that for the ending to a Thursday? Hope everyone is doing well...

Sahalie, I am so joining you for the weekend.  All I will do is eat.  LOL

Dear Bearly Insane you crack me up.  I hope you and your father do not come to blows over your blackberry!!!!

Faith, you just Diva away, hon.  Knowing you, you will do it in style.  Cool  I'll say I knew you when.  You will be another great example of totally moving on.

Hugs, Shopping Girl!  I'm sure you know who you are.  You know what your problem is, you spend too much money on gas and not enough on clothes right now.  OLOLOL

Foots my chiropractor says my lymph system all over is not working quite right.  He rubs my legs to get things moving and it hurts like crazy.  I can't imagine having LE all over.  I bet you'd like a big stick pin to let all the liquid come gushing out.  Healing hugs and I hope you start getting rid of it.

Amy, Jaz, Margaret, Winggirl, hope you are having a great day.

    back to work.  Money mouth

Sahalie - I'll take 2 seasick bracelets one for each wrist and no flotation device just get me a hunky lifeguard - just in case I go overboard.

Margo - Kenny Chesney WOW. More football talk - my DH played on the Streak team and our son played football after the streak days were over. We are a big football town still go to the games on Friday nights.

Faith - I can't wait for you to rub elbows w/ Big Bird, Bert & Ernie on PBS. Seriously I love those muppets. Wishing you all the best.... you so deserve this amazing adventure.

Iris - I am drooling over that cake was it as yummy as it looks? Building a day care from scratch....my that was an undertaking. For now I only do before/after school care so not a lot of time involved w/ projects, etc. Summer time is my busy schedule. Lots of planning to keep all my school age children happy & entertained. Having a pool is definitely entertaining for them, we spend a lot of time outside. You and Nessie with your parental stories are priceless - love to hear them. You two should sign up for a reality TV show LOL

Nessie - Got your PM thanks... sent you one too. Did you decide what to get your DD?

Amy, Susan, FPAngel, DebC, JaZ see you on the beach.

Hi beach bums. I could just imagine everyone splashing here together, reading juicy beach magazines and getting caught up on all of the shannanigans of the beach patrol -- as I stayed awake to drive across Indiana. I think it was really good for me to 'get outta the house' so to speak and just have some mindless miles roll past, for my brain to unwind.

I am safely here in Chicago, the land of road construction and traffic craziness.

Wishing each of you some splendid color at tonight's sundown.

Am going to attempt to get 'caught up' on a variety of projects in this cocoon silence of serenity. Just love it when calgon does indeed take you away.

Hey Beaches...........hope all had a good day!  Mine was kinda OLD...that happens when you work with the Geriatric crowd!

Faith......glad to hear that you 'escaped' and are safe and sound in Chicago land.............Love the way your PBS possibility is coming around!  Just remember us when you hit it big.....................we can all dress up as a character of some sort and do a show with you!  A few thoughts come to mind....but I'll leave them as that....thoughts!

Wings.......I found the perfect necklace for DD!!!!!!!!!!!  Now I just have to find out how to get it and pay for it without a certain 'somebody' knowing about it!!  Love the challenges I put myself through!

I met Nancy a couple hours ago and picked up 9 of the race packets.....and she bought these cute butterflys that go on a little metal post for everyone....she figures we'll be poking eyes out as we walk!

Susan........Who, me????!!!!  Gas is bankrupting me right now.............actually, seeing that I'm quite 'dependant' on the DH, I guess it's him that is going bankrupt!  But don't you worry..............where there is a will there is a way!

Jaz......haven't listened to the song of the day yet............I'm sure it's a good one!  Have you made the 'Deluxe' baked beans yet????

Iris....Still laughing at your post, regarding your trips with your parents...I think Wings has it right......................a book would be best seller for sure!

Dang right about meds........for us that is!  Couldn't do it without them........Tomorrow is another Doctor day for Mom..........it's a blood draw at the Hemotologist........so she gets poked and I get punished!!  Hopefully this will be her last visit to him..................there really isn't any reason for her to continue with him.......he has done all the testing he plans (or mom will allow) and nothing is way out of whack...........well, I'm thinking there is alot out of whack........but not with her blood!!  (Oh..that was bad!)

Sahalie..........don't see a post from you...........did you forget to come in off of the Catamarin?????????  I saw Mario and you playing footsies while snorkeling..................kind of hard with fins on wasn't it?!?!

Margo...........Hope you are safe from the fires........actually, that goes for Sahalie also.  Now that I've said that, I hope that isn't why Sahalie hasn't posted.

My Son called and said that they broke a record a couple days ago with 110 degrees.................today he got sent home from work cuz of downpours complete with lightening and HAIL..............and he said it was 49 degrees! What is up with this weather?!?!

And I was going to say something...interupted myself to throw that in about my Son...and now I'm clueless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay..........checking out for the night............see if I can stay awake for Greys anatomy season fianale tonight.........2 hours....yikes!

Were being stalked by wild turkeys..............gee, wonder if it has anything to do with the 'Turkey Call' I bought DH or the Corn he was feeding them with.................anyhow, I've got pics from this morning....the Tom Turkey was strutting around with his tail feathers all spread out just a gobbling away!  The hen was down the woods abit further..........I'm wondering if she is nesting.  I do see some great nature sitting there putting my makeup on!

    Hugs,

    Neesie

Hi girls, had dinner with hubby, kids and grandkids to celebraate hubby's birthday.

Iris, I love that cake, even after eating a big dinner I could find room for that cake.  he one I wanted to win on AI won.  Ryan has blueray on his PS and I have yet to see it.  He wanted the Planet Earth series in blueray for Christmas so he got it and I understand it's supposed to be great....one of these nights we'll watch it.

Susan, I'm making up for "Shopping Girl." I did some retail therapy last weekend.

Wings, I like high school football so much better than college or pro football.

Faith, I like when calgon takes me away too.

Neesie, I think we could write a few chapters in Iris' parent book  - I ought to be able to at least write the first chapter.  Sahalie and I are away from the fires - I'm about 1-1/2 hours so that puts her about 3 hours away.  Doesn't your son live in AZ?  My poor niece in Phoenix called the other night and she was dying from the heat - finally turned on her air.  I'm taping Gray's Anatomy just in case...

Jaz, you're going to have to get up early, early tomorrow in order for me to hear the song of the day - tomorrow is 6 am hair appointment.

    Night all.

Good morning Beach ladies.  Happy Friday!

Neesie -- I haven't made the beans yet but I did get most of the ingredients.  Good luck with your mom's doctor appointment.  I hope the visit isn't too stressing for her.  You are so right about the price of gas bankrupting people.  Especially, who have to travel for their jobs.  Something needs to change there for sure.

Margaret -- is this early enough for you?  I just can't fathom a 6 am hair appointment.  I'm glad your not close to the fires.  That sure is a scary situation.  So are bluerays replacing the dvd players???  I just got a dvd player a few years ago.  I always wait until new things are alot cheaper than when they first come out.  This is one of the disadvantages of doing that, that it will soon be replaced again but I thought dvd would be here to stay for a while.

Good morning to the rest of the beach ladies who are probably still snoozing.

Here's a really old old song for those of us old enough to remember Shirley Temple.

    Surprise song of the day!

Faith - Do you get to have any fun in Chicago - like Navy Pier or shopping? Or are you all business this trip? Have a safe trip home.

Nessie - The necklace sounds like a hit. When I was going through my radiation treatments DH surprised me w/ a silver cross necklace that has pink gemstones...adorable. It helped remind me to keep the faith and hope alive. Nancy has goodies for us? We will have to walk at arms length so we don't "pop" anyone. Remember last year she got us those cute little butterfly suckers?

Margo - Birthday celebration and eating cake too - gotta love it.

    My May sadness:

Went to cemetery today to put flowers on my Dad's grave. He passed away 30 years ago on Memorial Day weekend of a massive heart attack at the young age of 52. He walked me down the isle at my wedding and 3 months later had heart attack. I sent him a pink balloon today at the cemetary - I'm sure he is holding it and smiling down at me.

    Happy Note:

DH(WingMan) and I leaving in the morning on the motorcycle for a wkend getaway. Headed to northern MI for some R&R.

Iris, JaZ, Sahalie, Amy, FPAngel, Susan, DebC and all the above - Have a Great Holiday Weekend.

    Hugs

    Wings
