BikerJannyBunny will you kindly bring kind, caring and heartfelt thoughts and prayers to a friend on distant sea shells that prayers and hope of love are in thought for one's dearest Mother.  Life can throw such painful bolts out of the yonder sometimes.  Please share with her my most sincere wishes for a painless recovery and let there be love all around her.

    Thanks Janny.

Just for you to speed your way to deliver said notes.

It's time for me to saddle up the gas guzzling beast and make my way through the thick

smoke to the farm for some peace and tranquility.

I also want to walk through my kids gardens and see what wonders they are creating.

    *

My kids did inherit our green thumbs and they love gardening with a passion.

The hens. Rooster. Ducks and Geese also love the greenery so it's a battle of righteous wits.

A couple years ago the hens and ducks discovered our yellow delicious apple trees and

began an aquatic dance around the lower end of the trees to knock the apples off and then

    dine on sweet Apple delights.

We must find a way to discourage the ducks and hens with shields of green garden

webbing around the trees or they will gorge themselves silly and we will forfeit the sweet

    apple treat.

So Faith. Jazzy Song bird. Celia arteest extraordinareJanny Biker babe.

Spar. Neesie. Ames. FootsAngel and various guests I will see you on the flip side.

    An Apple day.

Sahalie, I always have an angel riding with me.  I'm sure our friend on the distant shore will be happy to get your message.  Yes, life does deliver some terrible blows sometimes.  Her mother is recovering nicely right now.  Thank you so much.  You are a loving, caring person.

Faith, those babies are getting so big!!!!!!!  And adorable!!!   Love the pics from Aruba.  Keep em coming!

    Amy, Yea!!!  Little girls!!!

Hello to everyone else.  I'm at work right now, so I'll try to check in later on.

Thank you Janny.  I appreciate so much you and your Angel delivering my message.

I had to get back home pronto as the smoke is just to miserable.  No one is out walking.

The guzzler is parked back in it's garage safety zone.

I brought the animals in and turned on the house fan.  Probably will have to turn on the AC late afternoon.  It's weird how the smoke changes the colors of things outside.

I'm sure the fire causing the most smoke for us is the Lake County 9,000 acre blaze.

I went out to take a picture to send to relatives and it's just so overwhelming.

Two fires are burning in the Mendocino National Forest and Lake Pillsbury in northwestern Lake County.  These places are like two and four hours away from where we live but the smoke has covered so much area.

Deborye.  Are you asking me? I hope you are well and all is good.

I was sending my message to a friend who is elsewhere.

I've never been to the chat room on this board.  I tried a chat room once and it went way to fast for me.  Conversations flying every which way. Coming and going.  I guess once you get in the groove of the chat it all comes together.  I was just too impatient.

    *

Hello to all Beach Babaloo's and Chickadees.

I hope you all are on the beach lounging about with Peace. Solitude. Friendship. & Goodies.

    *

    As for me.

I'm out practicing with my devoted beach boy and we are practicing for the July

    4th festivities and Pyramid.

    Pretty!

    *

A gal pal is bringing over a movie called "The Second Bolyn" or something like that for us to watch since it is in our best interest to stay inside.

    Anyone else see it?

Remember the ride on tractor mower fiasco?  I finally got them to send out a tech to the farm yesterday and not to charge us.

With pen, notepad and his laptop in close prox he clicked in every number possible and took the info back to the servicie department saying as he waved goodbye that we will hear from them.

    I'm hoping it's fixable.  And won't cost a fortune.

Good afternoon Beach Angels.  Another hot day in the city here.

Faith -- I hope your afternoon went well.  I can't wait to see more Aruba pictures.

Sahalie -- stay safe with all that fire stuff going on.  Check in often so we don't have to worry.

Well, going to make a nice big pitcher of southern ice tea and then be back later.

    Surf riding beach babe~ettes.

I'm going to describe our practice attempt for your gentle reading.

Beach boy Brad and I went out at 1pm at Hookipa with the big board.

It was great on the break outside and good wave sets for practice.

The tide was super low and we knew there was a high risk of hitting the reef right at the shore break.

Instead of paddling out into deeper water, we launched anyway.

The fin got stuck, we dinged the board in the fin box and we landed pretty hard on the reef.

The wind was still light and the the waves were pretty clean.

We kept practicing and had a blast in perfect head high peelers.

    Extremely fun.
Tomorrow there's a big swell coming.
We are stoked and will continue in the joy of the big wave.

All in all is was a good practice for our upcoming July wing ding.

Big hugs, FPAngel.  You have such a positive attitude. :)  I'm so sorry to hear about the UTI.  Those can be miserable.  Did they give you any antibiotics for it?  I've heard that drinking cranberry juice can help with those but that may just be an old wives tale.

    FYI*

Visitors and regular patrons are not surprised to find themselves dining elbow to elbow with such local luminary fish lovers as Robin Williams, Huey Lewis or Joan Baez.

Tom Hanks ate at Spenger's when he was a bell hop at a nearby hotel.

Old timers still tell tales of great nights spent eating and drinking at Spenger's with Clark Gable and Carole Lombard, Harry James and Betty Grable, Charles Laughton, Errol Flynn, Spencer Tracy and Ernest Hemingway.

Sahalie, the fires must be horrible where you are.  I smelled them from my bedroom this morning and you can definitely smell it in the air.

Yes, I agree sahalie, the chatroom gets pretty busy sometimes.  But it is a great place for support and therapy.  Met many wonderful people there.  I'm on there almost every evening.  In fact I'm late getting on there right now.

    FootsDebbie.

I'm so happy you checked in sweetFootsAngel.

So wonderful to see you and I am so sorry about your UTI.

I think we've all experienced those and they are no fun at all.

Just as Jaz said drink all the cranberry juice you can.

It cleans the culprit area.  Flushes it out and helps rapidly with healing the blasted UTI.

Foots. Do you get physical therapy for your lymphedema?  I bet your insurance would help you out with that and you would get some good comfort.

Hands on is the best ever. I wish you a speedy recovery for both infection and swelling.

Specially made just for you Debbie.

    XOXO

    hi beachies,

sahalie, you have so many events coming up -- a wedding, a vacation, and so many activities at home and on the beach!!  Other than the Oakland/Berkeley firestorm i don't remember ever hearing about so many fires so close to the Bay Area.  pretty scary i think.  i have only eaten once in Spenger's and mostly preferred Brennan's (before i was a vegetarian) across the street.  I bet Brennan's is gone now.  I did once see Daniel Ellsberg eating in Pasand's.

faith where are you? are you busy with the babeez?  jasmine thanks for the music.  socal the pics are grand!!! footprints, we will make some more lemonade now for you.  oops sahalie beat me to it. hugs to you!  margaret i thought for sure you were in the red sky car for fly-bys!  deborye i am a chatroom graduate after 3 years there in the evenings...great memories and still friends with lots of ladies. bikerjan good to see you.  amy you too.  i want to see pics of the new goat babies!! neesie, wings, spar, and susan, hope you are all well and we will see you soon.

i guess the screen door to the beach hut got left open and the bugs got in. Get out the Raid !

    i love this beach sculpture......

Sahalie, Spenger's sounds great, but I'm not a big seafood person.  Those surfers looked great!

SoCal, those pics are just beautiful.

    Faith, kiss those babies!!

Celia, you are a vegetarian?  I like my veggies, but I can't give up my red meat.  Sorry.  That is a beautiful sculpture.  I love your pics of glass.

Time to go wind down.  See you beach babes later.

WoW. WoW. WoW. What a day!!

It's great to see so many splashing about the beach: Sahalie surfing up a storm. Jaz singin'..... Celia with sculptural inspiration. AMY getting ready for a needed vacation!!! (SO glad to see you splash through!) Biker riding high and free. Socal sharing extraordinary roses. Footie pouring everyone lemonade. Deborye in and outta chat. Margo dashing about with Robert Downey...... we're still looking for Iris and Wings..... nEEsie and Susan must be going crosscountry to Pinkstock already, I heard they were walking. Spar where'd you go? Still mining for diamonds?

Where else could you get such high calibar companionship and entertainment.

Perhaps at the Cardington Public Library basement? There were 113 children in attendance. I didn't even know the town had that many in residence. It's so much fun to go into the teeny towns -- where EVERYone comes out for an event.

Can you find me? This set of kids were from the summer school enrichment program. I LOVED their shirts:

It looks like all of you had a really good time.

XOXO.   Oh just had a light bulb moment.  That picture would be perfect enlarged for the babies to be able to look at with all those colors.  WB too.

Let's meet at Gilligan's for breakfast together......... they make the best omlets and have the most incredible view of the beach!!

[We had tornados blow thru town in the middle of the night.... DH had us take our pillows to the basement out of caution -- I'd have slept right thru the whole thing, had he not awakened me. We're fine. The babeez & WB are still on the top of their hill. CRAZY weather.]

Running to today's performance...... beachie hugs to each -- for a great day.

Last time I checked, this was a public forum, and as such, affords me the opportunity to contribute to any thread I choose.  So please keep the bugs and bug spray on your side of the beach.  My side is clean as a whistle.  Stop with the tactics or contact the moderators, if you feel I've broken any rules.  I have been nothing but polite on this thread.  You don't like me?  Oh well, c'est la vie.  You're not the only ones that read it.Wink

Here are a couple of coastal shots of southern Italy, as mentioned yesterday to SoCal.

Good morning Beach Angels.  Happy Thursday!

Sahalie -- how are the fires in your area?  Are they getting them under control yet?  Be safe!

Faith -- I love those shirts too.  Great tie dye.

Deborye -- I am a chat lady also.  Though I don't go as often these days since I find the new format (actually about 2 years now) hard to read.  Welcome to the beach.

Hello to Susan, Wings, Amy, Biker, Spar2, FPAngel, Celia...

    Surprise song of the day!
