Head down from our resort, along the sidewalk...... stop at the little towel shack on the left and get your happy striped towel.

Then proceed directly to water's edge. I have reserved half a dozen palm cabanas for our afternoon pleasure. Julio will set up your reclining beach chair to your specification -- either under the shaded portion or in full sun -- please indicate your preference.
He will return to take drink orders, so please plan accordingly. It's almost 5:00!!

sahalie, that pic of us on the beach buggy car shows that we are a gaggle of pretty gals!!! They don't make men like Pete Seeger anymore. wow that reminds me of Malvina Reynolds, folksinger, do you remember her...she lived in SF.
socal, lovely beach pic...looks like California to me....
spar, hope your beach walk was fruitful today! any sanddollars or shells?
that neesie sure is a card isn't she?
faith, more pics more pics...we are ready!!!
waiting to say hi to jasmine, wings, bikerjan, footprints, amy, and any others.
I didn't get much of a walk today but tomorrow i will....see you on the beach!

good morning beachie bunnies!! thanks for such a warm welcome back, made me realize how very special this beach is. loved having the musical welcome, Jasmine -- you're just too incredible for words....... wish i could be a fly inside your head, to figure out how you think!!
welcome to socal........ loved your pic and look forward to many more..... we-of-the-landlocked never tire of beach pictures. Angel was brilliant with this thread's inauguration.
spar -- sounds like an ambitious weekend of fun
sahalie -- concerned about you in the midst of all of the fires...... take good, cautious care of yourself ...... how was the oyster festival? not toooo hot i hope?
footie -- i have just the pic for you, but you're gonna have to be patient till i can find it..... i stood there nearly in tears at the time. you'll be smilin' from ear-to-ear. hope you've refilled the lemonaid pitcher, cuz i'm thirsty!
IRIS -- that's who i'm missing!!! how on earth do you think i can stay organized without you here? we need your room mother skills, cuz i know sahalie's planning some big extravaganza for the fourth and your attention to details keeps us in the groove.... get your bears back to the beach!! pretty please?
ames: a quick fly by from you, when you're able..... know that you are always in my prayers and i ask for beach blessings for you today.
margo: hope you're staying cool today. what ya cookin'? seems like it's just about time for one of your tantalizing recipees?
nEEsie: you'd better pop in here with some smiles for us, before the rumor mill gets carried away. BTW -- my pregnancy test came back negative, so you don't have to call those Guiness World's record folks after all!!
celia: can't wait to see who you run into on the beach today..... you've got the best eyes for capturing spunk
deborye: just love your flipper floppers! where do you shop?
winger: know that prayers continue to mount for you and the WingMan. Eager to see your light return here when you're able and up to it. we'll keep things a bit sedate for your return. how are our water skiing costumes coming? did you get that water-proof bling i sent?
bikerbabe: i didn't want you to think i was shirking my grandma's duties..... the babeez are already 2 months old and here's a peek:
and evidence that WB is still "in the picture, too!!"
candie: we do miss you, pop in, the water's fine!!
hugs to all other readers, peekers, beach stollers and anyone i forgot with all of this hiccuping and burping going on in my ear -- we're approaching the era of genuine smiles and i can hardly wait!!

Are you ready for this? Imagine me stolling down the beach in Aruba, in one of my "continual loop" prayers for all here at our cyber-beach. I'm prayin'...... I'm strollin'........ I'm prayin'......... I'm strollin'.........
I'm asking for blessings for our own FootieAngelDeb and thinking about how she always brightens our beach -- no matter the discomfort she faces -- and I'm prayin' ......... and I'm strollin'.............
and I look up from my sand covered toes and see this:
Can you imagine the look on my face? I thought I was getting delusional from the heat. Is this evidence of a Creator who cares for us on an amazingly personal level, or what?
So, Deb, there's a beach on Aruba's shores blazing your name. I feel just so incredibly fortunate to have captured it to share with you! Know that you are being looked after -- by the very heavens themselves! [I just LOVE when we get a glimpse of heaven, while we're still here on earth.]
I must say that this is the very first time that I've ever received a genuine 'sign' in the midst of praying...... it makes me want to have my camera ready at all times and go on a scavenger hunt for evidence of answers.
smile for the whole day, friends..... I'm still shaking my head in wonder.............

Good Morning Beach Babaloo's.
Faith. That sign is a sign of incredible nature from the heavens above and there you were right there to capture it for sweet FootprintsAngel.
Jaz. Jas. Jasmine sweet song bird. Even a quick note and song from you are fantastic.
Wings. Be well in Spirit. We are all holding you in prayers. Friendship.
Vibes of the positive kind. Hurry back K.
Celia. My kindred friend.
The City was a rockin in that time period. George Carlin included. Rest his soul.
This morning we woke up to an orange sky.
BikerJanny. Rumble on in again and bring an Angel on your back seat if you can.
That would be so perfect. Will you deliver Hellos. Loves. Laughs. Hugs.
Deborye. Spar. Friends bringing beach treasures to share.

Throw off your worries. Let the salty air and sounds of Life gather you in.
It's yours to experience.
FootNote ~ Not to be mistaken for a Note to Foots. Smile.
OK Note. Margarita's tonight on the beach. Search out the smiling crowd.

Just a quick flyby to say hello so you don't forget me. Sahalie, I heard there are over 800 fires burning in our beautiful state, most of them up here. Brisbane was on fire the other day and Santa Cruz I think settled down but Gilroy is almost contained - those are all around me, and I do smell the fires early in the morning and feel it when I breathe in.
Margaritas sound oh so yummy.

hi beachies, today it is beautiful here on the beach. the sand is not as white and smooth as faith's beach in aruba, but our sand is very diverse, filled with small pebbles and shards of seashells and sea-glass, and nature's craft box of goodies.
here is a sand dollar for spar....spend it wisely!
and for sahalie, here is a special note pad for her to write down her word paintings.
for everyone, here are some blown-glass lollipops to hold up to the sky to see the rainbows.
i walked down the beach pretty far and found this terrific british artist who was visiting our beach, named Andy Goldsworthy, who does temporary site-specific sculpture and land art. he uses what he finds at the site like branches, leaves, mud, sticks, berries, and makes beautiful visual statements with them. here are some pics:
what a lovely chap he is and so intent on his work. i really enjoyed my visit with him and i feel such a sense of calm after gazing at his beautiful ephemeral works on the beach.
will meet up later with the rest of you----faith (those babies are so gorgeous), margaret, bikerjan, wings, footprints (who has a beach in aruba named after her !!), wings, jasmine, neesie, socal, deborye, and our lovely fleeting angel .

HMMMMMMMMM....posted a couple of hours ago and it's not here. Just wanted to let all know that I'm around..........just taking some time off.............but still wishing all well and praying for those in need. Truly enjoying Faiths pics and description of the Heavens above. Worried about our California girls with the fires all around them............stay safe!
My 'real' work load is very light right now.....but I've been helping Mom quite abit.......trying to see my DD and family more often.........missing my Son (both, but I'm talking about the one in AZ) and tearing apart the computer room..............so the ole puter has been up and down and up and down since the weekend..................!

Celia. Very nice. I love the flipper flopper paper and will use it up in no time.
The glassware lollipoppers you brought are beautiful.
The artist Andy Goldsworthy's creations are exemplary and so mind grabbing.
I can see why they caught your creative eye. Check your PM's.
Another wedding has just been announced that will take place in October thankfully
two weeks before we leave for our Island.
We love weddings here in our family. Happy. Jovial. Times.
Some of us are in the wedding. Dress fittings Saturday.
Pretty quiet on the beach today. Must be hammock day or a sail on the pristine waters.

Hi ladies...Sahalie..yes that was a beach in San Diego...actually it was taken on the US/Mexorder..I love the beaches and the ocean..although I can no longer do any sunbathing...but I can watch the things going on..
I took this no far from where some of your family rests..I did have to stick in my grandson, of course..
Margo are you seeing smoke from the fires?? Celia, there are so many so close to your old stomping grounds....what a shame..Sahalie..we spent the night in a shelter during the San Diego fires last year...
Celia, love your photos..I just have to put in one of the tide pools..
Think I need to hit the beach tomorrow..I have a free day for a change...
Hugs,

sahalie, i lived in berkeley during the '89 earthquake and the Oakland/Berkeley Firestorm too. the firestorm burned down so many houses and lots of beautiful trees..lots of the area's imported Eucalyptus trees up in the berkeley hills...so sad and so hard to breathe then. staying inside is the right thing to do. i remember that the skies were dark red with lots of grey smokiness.....like a science-fiction movie set for the end of the world scene. it was honestly scary. my hubby was working in Fresno and home on weekends, and he happened to be home when the evacuation area got to 17 blocks away from us, so he called to tell them he wouldn't be in to work on monday, in case we had to evacuate. just keep your fans on and don't go outside any more than you have to. maybe you should wear a bandana around your nose like a bandit!
socal, i remember when you got evacuated from your home last year and we were worried about you in the chatroom. your pics are always so wonderful....please keep posting them. i miss seeing the sea birds. i used to walk my dog down at the marina where it was always cool even in sweltering Indian summer days in late september.

Good morning Beach Angels. Life is busy but good here. Sahalie, please be careful on all that smoke and fire stuff. If its beginning to affect your breathing and health then best to pack up all your critters and family and get away from it.
Okay, I just couldn't resist this one ...and when you listen you will know why!
