Hi Friends, I hope you all had a wonderful 4th. I went out on my and drove my New toy (its like a wheelchair cause of my swollen lymphedema)  I enjoyed learning. The ramp is just a scrap one right now but it works til I get a new one. Faith I love those earthlings! I want to reach out and love them. Wings, I am thankful I have a family on-line that cares, I had my brother stop by, First time since Sept and ask about my health and then away he went! I might not see him til after 2009. He said he was down this way so he stopped. Sahalie, Where is the lemonade and those handsome men that can put up my good ramp. SoCalLisa, Margaret,Spar, Nessie, JaZ and all the other wonderful people here,  Thanks for all your caring hearts! Its so nice to know Life's a Beach with good friends! God bless you all,Debbie

Yes, the new avatar was taken today at my grandson's birthday party.

I would love to meet all of you in real life.  I spend more tiime talking to people here than my family and friends in real life

Is Scott stationed at Lawton or tinker air force base?

    Evening breastfriends.

Spar: Scott is stationed @ Altus AFB for a few more weeks and then will return to us and serve out of a local base here in central Ohio. It's time to start planning a big welcome home party!

edited to add: we are a very good family to each other -- I know how much I've depended on everyone here..... we each bring a little something unique and that makes such a strong team

FootieDeb: I'm so glad that you have a temporary ramp, even if it is scrap -- hopefully your church people will step forward and build something more permanent. If not, Sahalie will get the beach brothers organized.

Good morning Beach Angels.   I'm so loving the pictures and hobbies.  By the way Faith, the babeez are so cute and getting so big!  WB is adorable as always.

I've been working on cleaning out closets this weekend.  I've completely emptied my linen closet and washed all the towels, sheets, etc., and reorganized.  It looks so much better.  I've collected a ton of stuff to take to Goodwill.

Here's a rose to get your morning off to a lovely start...

I've been playing with my camera finally but I'm nowhere up to the photography level as Lisa.

Well, going to hop in the shower and get the day started.

    Surprise song of the day!

    ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

isn't this growing technology simply, absolutely amazing???

i clock in here and Lisa's Sedona images immediately transport me to another place and time -- no a whole 'nother zone altogether

then i watch Jasmine's posted video of sailing and i am transported again

a special word of thanks to BCO for building this site strong & wide enough for these images

-- which add tremendously to my healing and wellness

ok. i'm ready to share my blog address with you my friends..... it is very much under construction and i don't understand how it works BUT

feel free to check out my ramblings at

    http://rainbowswithinreach.blogspot.com/

you'll see many of the same images i've already shared here, but organized differently

i'll be eager to see if it 'works'

here's some aruban pink growing mid beach -- in that hot sand:

I'm impressed Faith.............gotta check out your blog!  Kinda disappointed though.......thought I had found a friend that was as technology challenged as me!!

Lisa........I'm enjoying your pics once again!  Haven't chatted much with you in a long time!

Sedona is a favorite!  Makes me miss my Son!!  We visit Sedona everytime we visit DS.........I have a box of Sedona Red Rock in the garage...............DH keeps wondering what I'm going to do with it....something, just don't know what..................Any ideas??

3 windows are in and one to go.........but not this weekend.............this one requires our King Size Bed to be moved and is real close to our retaining wall........... same window DH was doing something with a couple years ago when the ladder started to go and he jumped off and broke his foot!  Yup....I think we'll call in some forces for that one.

    Hi Beach babes.

We had tons of fun with our company and just saw them off for their trek home.

Faith.  Thank you for what you wrote.  That really touched me.  So thoughtful.

I'll check out your blog in a bit.

Jaz,  That picture you took if gorgeous and every bit as great as any professional photo I've seen.

Wow.  It's a breath taking beautiful flower and it pops right out at us.  The clarity is perfect.

Spar.  Your avatar is adorable as are the pictures you shared above.  Great job.

Hello to all beach babes here there and every where.

Hey I have to share a good book with you i just finished.

It's titled "My Family and Other Animals" by Gerald Durrell.  He grew up to be a renowned

naturalist, spent a life of adventure and time on an island in Greece as well as many wonderful

vignette's regarding the read.  I can't wait to read one of the other books he wrote.

Lisa of SoCal.  I love those pictures you took of Sedona.  I have never been but do want

to go one day soon.  When is the best time of year to visit there?

It's almost 100 degrees here today in our beautiful wine country.  The grapes are loving it.

Too hot to be outside at the moment so I had better skip to my Lou down to our beach.

Foots.  I hope your community and church get it together and build you good sturdy ramps that

are safe for you and at the proper angle and to code.

    Safety first young lady!

Well girls my anxiety levels are on the rise due to having to go first thing tomorrow morning

for my six month blood work.

Then July 14 for my oncology appointment.  I have a list of questions for the doc.

On the top is why am I still so fatigued.  I really push myself to get so many things done and

    wonder what is going on.

I'll be very glad when this appointment is done and I pray all is good.

I have no reason to think anything but good positive thoughts but it still drives me bonkers before

    these visits.

That's why is great I had company this weekend.   Mind over baloney.

Sahalie, sweet sister, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow as you move forward to gain further insight. Each visit for information is a hurdle to clear on the road to wellness. Strength.

My dear beach sisters. Tomorrow begins one of the most demanding weeks that I attempt. I am scheduled to perform 13 library, family concerts across an entire large county, a couple of hours from home. I've done this for them in the past and have been completely & thouroughly exhausted by week's end. There's a concert morning, afternoon and evening each of the first 4 days of the week and only one on Fri.

Can't imagine what I was thinking to agree to it once again???? This was all set up last fall, before all of the details of twins and SIL's away was known.

Just spoke to my DH and we have decided that I'll just get a hotel for the 4 nights and not drive back and forth as I've done in the past..... don't know if I'll have internet?? Splash about on my behalf. Have a great week -- hope I can pop in now and again.

    xx00xx00xxx00xx00xx00xx00xx

    spar: loved your pics!

nEEsie: if i can blog, you bet anyone with a computer can do it. i probably take 5 times longer to post than anyone else, but i'm figuring it out with time LOLOLOL

Spar - Nice avatar. It took me forever to figure how to post avatar and then I had help from Faith.

Margo - Do you cook your lasagna noodles before all the layering? I don't and it bakes just fine. Just make sure you have the noodles covered with sauce. You can buy the no cook noodles or I just use the regular lasagna noodles. Sure saves time not having to cook the noodles first.

Lisa - Great pictures. You will have to open a gallery on the beach along with Celia and Jasmine.

Neesie - Don't worry you still have me as technology challenged.

Faith - Great blog -  love all the pictures and colors. Proud of you for becoming a blogger!

JaZ - Why are you working so hard cleaning on the holiday wkend? Come relax on the beach let the cabana boys do all the cleaning.

Foots - Congrats on your ramp. Just be careful until sturdier one is built.

Sahalie - Will be thinking of you in the morning as you have your blood work done. We will be here for you when you get back.

    hugs

Hope everyone is doing good.  I'll just start from here.

Faith, saved you some lasagne - made an extra pan so it's being cyber mailed to you for fast delivery.  Have to check out your blog.

Footprints Deb, how are you feeling?

    Spar, like your new avatar.

    SoCal, I love Sedona.

Jaz, pretty rose, love the color.

Sahalie, don't you love this weather?  It was awesome here this weekend.  Good luck with your upcoming appointments, will be thinking of you tomorrow.  I have an appt with the genetic counselor on the 18th but now I have to go see a dermatologist about this rash I have that's not going away.

Wings, I bought some Trader Joe's no cook lasagna noodles a few weeks ago and had never used them before.  The box had enough noodles for four 8 inch pans.  You're right, not cooking sure does save a lot of time and they come out nicer too I think.

Hi there Beach Buds!  I had a very busy holiday weekend!  We have a huge party every year and this one was no different.  The weekend is over, along with the parties, and it's time to.........clean up.  It seems I missed quite the parade here, with all the beautiful floats everyone made.

Sahalie, I take it you actually live near the real beach??  How lovely!  I know it has been very hot and dry on the west coast this summer.  I loved your pic of the old cottage with the forsythia along side of it.

Faith, those quilts are just beautiful!!  You are quite the woman of many talents!!!!!  The babies and WB were really cute.

Celia,  I love the pictures you post of the glass balloons.

Jaz, OMG, I love baby bunnies!!!!  We had some nesting right next to our house, about 4 years ago.

SoCal, those pics from Sedona were beautiful.

Hi to Margo, Wings, Footprintsangel, Neesie, Spar and Amy.  I know I missed a few, but my mind is like a collander. It used to be a sieve, but the holes got bigger.

Good Morning my Beachie Keen Sisters.

It's supposed to be a frickenpalooza 100 degrees here today.  I don't like that.

Too hot and I dread the thought of sitting in an over stuffed way to hot waiting room to have my name called for the blood work.

It's the getting in the guzzler and driving across town that does not appeal to me.

Faith.  Have a grand time with your extravaganza adventures today.

Just remember to take time to take deep breaths.

You have the most infectious smile and always brightens up my day when I see

shared photos with you in them.

One step. One song at a time with some mantra in between.

I see it's Monday morning slowness this morning.  I guess everyone is still in their

hammocks swaying to the beat of the hermit crabbies practicing their castanet claws to

the sounds of the rhythm of the ocean song.

That and too many 4th drinks and way scrumptious 4th food.

I want my fog.  Where is it?  Hopefully it will make an appearance in a day or two.

Uno info.  Last night I watched the DVD "Batman Begins" again * to get ready for the new

    one coming out this month.

I LOVE and DROOL over Christian Bale.   If I mantra him in my head while I drive to the appt.

this morning maybe it will be emotionally less stressful.

He is THE best BatMan of them all.

A masked crusader who jingles my bells.  Oh yeah!

Faith.   A bell ringer list sounds like a super fun plan.

I actually have quite a selection.  Good thing about the beach is we know our fantasy is safe.

Regarding my adventure to blood work.

With happy thoughts of Mr. Christian Bale in my head, the guzzler and I made our way across town to a place where the air conditioning was nice, very nice, people with dazed and confused looks on their faces seated in rows of chairs, an hour to 45 minute wait, I decided to sit out in the dimly lit lobby with lush greenery and a whirling coffee latte' machine and read bits and pieces of my "Short Stories" by Mark Twain whilst watching the clock.

At 40 minutes into this "why am I here" episode, I ventured back into the room with a view of a row of seats, many empty now as the lunch hour approached.  About 7 to 10 minutes into joining the row of dazed people, me being one of them, my name was called.

Pinch for the vein here.  Prod for the vein there.  It was a stubborn vein today.

    Voila' * Done.

I am home and already received partial results.  Looks like I'm anemic which is nothing new.

I don't even know if the CA-15 was ordered which is the one that raises my anxiety to new heights each time.  This time I will play coy and pretend I don't care what the number is.

I see my oncologist a week from today and will go over every detail with him.

Outside It's hotter than the red stuff inside Kilauea so I am firmly planted inside with my bff "AC" except for brief jolts into the yard for this or that.

Where is everyone?  Still slumbering on the beach?

Janny good to see your post up above.  Why weren't we all at that party?  Oh yeah we had the festivities here.  Yours sounds like a good one too.

    Bolinas beach.  A happy place.

Hi Beach Friends,  I  just wanted to thank everyone for being so caring. Maragaret, I am very swollen from the heat. I cant even put my arm all the way down, And the other chemo pill and arthritis slows me down. But each day is a gift and we can share it with others. Its so hard to fight some-days when you are alone. But I just remind myself of all the friends I have and go do something nice for someone. Wing, I almost need to put a board on the side cause when it rains it slick. I pray I get it done. Sahalie I can sure use a drink of that lemonade!  Its been a hot day. To all my other friends, Please take care and your all in my prays. Luv, Debbie

Faith -- the blog is stupendous!  Its so professional looking.  You did a great job and I've bookmarked it to keep track of what you are doing when you can't be here.  Good luck on your current shows.  I know you are enjoying working with all the children. Can you share more of your TV/book stuff?  Just only what you feel comfortable doing.  I love the pic of the flower growing out of the sand.  Just shows that we can bloom wherever we are planted and no matter what circumstances.

Sahalie -- I'm glad you had a lovely time with your company.  I'll definitely look for that book next.  I have such a hard time finding good books to read.  Not that I need to since I get so caught up in books that I tend to ignore and let things I need to do go undone.  Its a flaw. :)  How did your doc appointment go?  Hopefully you are breathing a sigh of relief and taking NED for another spin.  Don't fret over your appt on the 14th since I know you will receive a good report.  Hopefully, they can give you something to help with the anemia.  I think the heat also affects ones energy level.  Is it normal for it to be so hot where you are?  Funny, but its been cooler than normal for us this year.  Looks like you got my weather.  Enjoy!!!

Wings -- they make 'no cook' noodles?!!!  That sounds like my kind of noodle!  Where do you find these magical noodles because I want some.  Sometimes I just get a bug about a certain closet or drawer.  Usually after having to hunt for hours to find something I'm looking for and then just get totally disgusted with this disorganized mess so last weekend was the linen closet's turn.

Celia -- good morning to you and looking forward to pictures or your spectacular beach finds.

Margo -- nice to see you popping in.  You must be so busy these days.  Its looking like most of those fire are coming under control.  I love lasagna but I've never made it.  Usually just buy it frozen.  It looks like alot of work.  I think there is probably a slow cooker/crockpot recipe somewhere I may try.

Biker -- glad you had a nice time at the party.  Clean up's a witch.  I love the bunnies too.  I think they have moved in so close to us this year because my dog is gone now.  I think she usually chased all the bunnies and squirrels away so its been fun watching the wild life.

FPAngel -- congrats on getting your ramp set up.  There is nothing like having the freedom to come and go as you please.  How nice that you got to spend some time with your brother.  I know that as we get older its harder to keep in touch with each other.  Does your brother get online that maybe you could use instant message to talk to him?

Spar2 -- I love your new avatar.  :)  I didn't know you were in OK.  For some reason, I thought you were farther out west.  We're practically next door neighbors.  And Susan is close to us too.  Maybe we can have a get together in Eureka Springs again next year.  I didn't go this time but Susan did and had a wonderful time.

Deborye -- haven't seen much of you lately.  I hope things are going well for you and that we see you back here soon.

Amy -- hope the vacation is going well.

SoCalLisa -- cool picture of a green flash.  I always thought that was just a myth made up for stories or movies.

Neesie -- how is the window installation coming?  Did you get the big one done yet?  I love retail therapy but most of mine lately has been window shopping.  I can't believe you still have your purple square.  :)

Well, yesterday was very busy for me and I hate when I don't get a chance to post.  I've been reading about Stephanie and am having a hard time dealing with all the sadness on the boards lately.  But, we must keep going. Life is to be lived fully and without fear.  We can't let the fear demon win.

    Surprise song of the day!

Jaz.  What a grand and wonderful gift of such a post from you!

I know you are busy and we sure miss you when work gets in the way.

As for where I live and the heat.  Yeah. In summer time we do get flash in the pan heat

waves that test our stamina but we need the heat here in our beautiful wine country

for the little grapes to turn into big plump juicy grapes to be squeezed into liquid

Zin's and Chardonnay's and many other tasty accouterments.

In the mean while we all frizz and flail in the atrocious heat but with in two weeks like

clock work our fog comes in to save us.

I received more lab work this morning when I logged on.

So far everything is in the normal ranges except the anemia part

but I have always been anemic so I will discuss it next Monday at my oncology appointment.

I hope you are enjoying your work plus some time to relax.

Tell work to take a break and come play.

OK here's an invite to all our beach babes and visitors.

    Let's do some life lifts.
