sundermom I am 1 year 10 months PFC. My hiar is down to my shoulders. SOme of the layers on top have grown out. At first it seemed thicker when the layers were shorter and then as it got longer it weighed down so seemed flatter and thinner. So I think I am going to add some layers back in. It's still thicker than pre chemo though. I take biotin and that helps a lot.

This weekend I passed on some of my head coverings to a friend who just lost her hair. What a good feeling that I no longer need them and an equally good feeling that I can help someone else going through what I went through just a few months ago.

I tried topix once and ditched it. I didn't have (and still don't) enough hair for it to stick too. It does fall to the scalp unless you have thicker hair so it looks like you have a dirty scalp! Save your money!

I have hair. You have to get in the right light to see it. It is white and amazingly soft. I cannot measure the length, because it is still too short for that But the point is I have hair.

Congrats TNNurse!
At first I could only see mine with a magnifying glass. You may want to take a picture every 1-2 weeks so you notice the change- it is encouraging.0 -
sundermom - I think the same thing about my hair that it seems thinner then it was even 6 months ago. I am 15 months PFC. My bangs do not seem to get past my eye brows. What exactly are the prenatal vitamins? I took biotin right after Chemo. Wasn't sure it did anything, but I will try it again to see if there is a difference.

Terry71, such a cute baby! When I brought up the thread the picture was positioned on the screen so all I could see was the top of his head. I thought it was someone's PFC hair growth

You're so right, Lumpy! Massaging your scalp is very helpful in stimulating the sebaceous glands to encourage your hair to grow in faster & thicker - I think it really made a difference for me. Just begin at your nape, using circular motions with all fingers & covering your entire scalp for 2-3 minutes. Your scalp should feel tingly all over & you can repeat it several times a day!
Congratulations Terry - JJ is one beauteeful boy!0 -
congratulations Terry71...wonderful joy!
