Last day of chemo yesterday 9/26. I have not lost eyebrows or brows. Sounds like I may....I have started using Rosemary oil, and plan to start Rogain. I cannot wait for my hair to return and Ifeel inspired by all these pictures. Hope springs eternal God Bless all.

It kind of does, serenitySTAT! But unfortunately my face isn't as pretty as hers and short hair looks weird on me, I think Loopy

Myraknits that's nice coverage for 13 weeks pfc!

my eyebrows are coming back in, but only on the inside half! I look like I've been pranked on a camp and had half my eyebrows waxed

    Beautiful, ladies! Everyone looks great.

Logang, I'm not a huge country music fan, but I love Gary Allan's voice.

Paxton, Gary is one of my favorites!

Wow Molliefish! That is a lot of curls. Mine had some curl and was really thick prior to chemo. So far I have the thickness, but still waiting to see if it will curl.

Wow! You all all look great!!!!!!!! Molliefish, I *love* your curls!!!!!

I never even thought to look on the Latisse label. I just started fretting about this stuff and the only thing I know to look for so far are parabens and then I only thought to look on lotions, shampoo...

    A whole new world....

Love the curls Molliefish. Curious what mine will look like. I read an article about mixing peppermint oil and pumpkin oil. Have ordered both.

Akioli - Most people are not as pretty as that actress! I've had long hair for most of my life, so like you, I feel I don't look right.

Logang - Great hair! Have you trimmed the back?

Molliefish - Your curls are beautiful!

7 weeks PFC - I have hair all over my scalp, but most of the hair is really fine. Hope they get thicker like pre-chemo. At least my eyebrows have grown back.

Frill, I have no idea if the hormones in Latisse are harmful to us but I figure I'll try and avoid anything that uses the H word. Maybe ask your MO.

I stumbled on a wonderful site to check the safety levels of health and cosmetic products. They are definitely trying to sell their own products but they rate thousands of commercial brands and tell you which alternatives are better. http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ They don't have a lot of the smaller brands but lots of stuff I use or should say used is rated.

does anybody else want to kick the next person that suggest they keep their hair short? I mean I know that it doesn't look bad on me and I guess I'm lucky I can pull it off, but I still want my longhair back.

I hear it regularly......I am now in the Qtip stage.....or that's what my hair looks like on my head. I want to grow it out so badly and we get the pleasure of every ackward stage between bald and length!!

I haven't posted on this board but I just have to add to this conversation. Equally annoying is someone asking "why haven't you lost your hair yet?" I still have about half of mine left and was just now asked that question. People are so insensitive!

On another note, has anyone done AC/Taxol and not lost all of their hair? I am on day 22 after first infusion and still have quite a bit left. I hear it varies from person to person. I probably just have wishful thinking.

seq24 - Sorry to say Day 22 is early. I lost most of my hair on AC. Taxol took almost the rest of it and lashes/brows. I buzzed what remained because it looked bad. 7 weeks PFC, my brows are back, lashes are returning, and I look like I buzzed my hair.

serenity--darn! That's not what I wanted to hear! I was told that day 13-15 is when hair falls out and I have a friend who lost all of it on day 15. I was also told that hair starts growing back during Taxol. That came straight from the MO. I've been wondering if that is true. I have a friend who had only Taxol and lost all her hair during that.

I enjoy seeing everyone's hair photos. Gives me hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I think I would have rather had more extensive surgery and kept my hair than dealing with losing it, but that wasn't an option. Right now I feel pretty humiliated by the way I look. I'm afraid the wig will be coming out this weekend.

I think hair loss varies more on Taxol. For many people, hair will grow. I did have patches of white fuzz growing during Taxol, but any real dark hairs kept falling out.

    You'll get through it!

Thanks Serenity! I still have 2 AC treatments and all of Taxol. Won't be done till end of January, then radiation. It seems like an eternity! Last night I was in the state of mind that I'd rather jump off a cliff than keep doing this. That was the steroids talking. Thanks for your encouragement!

Seq, Adriamyicin is the strongest chemo you can get and even the cold capping doesn't help. I have lost over 1/2 of my hair with cold caps on A/C. Hoping with taxol it stabilizes. I don't need a wig yet, but getting close. Hair issues suck..

Jiffrig-My MO told me that about cold caps and AC. She said that it only works 60% of the time and that the older you are the more that percentage goes down. I considered trying it but didn't want to waste my money if it wasn't going to work anyway. Interesting that nobody told me that Adriamyacin was the strongest chemo but based on how I feel its not surprising. No actual SE except for the hair loss, but I just feel yucky for about a week afterwards. Still have to do this 2 more times! Are you done with AC? I heard #3 is horrible! That's my next one.

Seg24, I am new do this forum. I am on my 5 of 6 taxotere/taxol treatments. I shaved my head when I started to lose it. It grew back between sessions. I still look like an old man but it is nice to have some and see it grow!

Thanks Cwhitney! That is encouraging! Did you have "real" hair that grew back or was it just fuzz? That's what I was told it would be. They said like a baby bird.
