Sally32 - Are you on Herceptin? I've read that can slow things down. You may want to look at previous pages for pictures showing what others have.
I'm 5 1/2 weeks PFC. My husband said I no longer have a shiny bald head! Still fuzzy, but now have some dark fuzz and stubble. I buzzed the stray hairs that remained. Eyebrows are finally coming back. The 5 o'clock shadow in my brows look strange. No sign of eyelashes. Taxol took most of the hairs that remained from AC.
My FitBit estimates I cover a mile when massaging my scalp! It's only been a week since I upped the scalp massage.

Hello ladies
Has anyone seen the ad on tv or heard about the class action lawsuit about permanent hair loss after Taxotere?
I have called to inquire about it as my hair hardly grew back after Taxotere and now I wear a hairpiece or a hat.
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this lawsuit?
Thanks!

I have seen it on tv as well. My hair grew back although my eyebrows did not grow back 100%. I can't go without having to use eyebrow pencil all the time to make it look like I have eyebrows. Lashes came back but not like they were before. I am just thankful to having my hair! Even though now it's thinning due to Letrozole.

Karen, I just ordered these:
I love the idea of temporary so you can change it or just wash it out when you're sick of it.
Veronica, you are gorgeous with or without lashes but you convinced me to go get some. Do you use the kind with glue? I've only ever tried the ones with the glue strip on them once but they didnt last a day and were really uncomfortable.
ETA: the chalks arrived!!

Sally when my hair first started growing back it was definitely more dense on the sides than the top, and you could see my scalp through it. Eventually the top filled in.
Finished chemo April 19

Dara...My hair did come back. It us a short thin gray pixie cut. Dark brown before chemo. I had enough to not wear hat 5-6 months post chemo. I will have the eyebrows tatooed in October. As for the lawsuit...I saw the ads but I choose not to make the attorneys richer. Will post picture tomorrow as I am on bus, chaperoning high marching band on the way to first competition of the season.

Myra, I used Duo liquid adhesive when I wore false lashes.

Myra: I do use a glue on the individual lash flares, but it's very strong. I use Elite Bond. I have to wave a fan at my face for about 30 seconds after applying each flare because I have sensitive eyes, and it makes them water. Then, to take it off (it has lasted up to 3 weeks for me!), I use Blink Gel Remover . I leave it on for a few minutes, and then they come right off. If they don't come off right away, I just leave it on a little longer. Putting them on and taking them off definitely takes some practice and getting used to, but I like that I don't have to wear makeup when I do it. And it's also nice for an occasion where I have to dress up.

I have a question that I can't find an answer for. My hair loss started 14 days after first infusion. I shaved it three days after. I will have my last infusion 9/26....praise God. I have still have fine stubble with bald patches. Will I continue to loose what I have left? What does the castor oil do? Any suggestions to promote growth? I read on one site to try Rogain. I miss my hair :-

Almost 8 months PFC, and I think my hair growth has finally taken off. I had my hair cut about a month ago, and I see definitely close to a 1/2 inch of increase! About time! Another thingI have been using is Pantene Age DefyThickening Liquid

Veronica, thanks! I like the idea of leaving them on. 3 weeks is fantastic! My lashes are coming back and in a really weird way... They used to be all lined up in one line. Now theres lots of themgrowing out in several haphazard rows on the entire rim. I'm not complaining! Nice to have anything!!
ocmdcat, one thing I've been doing to help remind me it's a slow process is I take a selfie every Thursday and compare them to the month before. It seems like it takes forever but you'll be amazed at how much difference there is. I didn't have any growth at all until about 7 weeks pfc.
Jill, you are lookin so cute, Girl!!
Smilethrupain, my brows stopped growing during infusions and then fell out by the 5th infusion so no need for grooming at all. Just starting to grow back 3 mos pfc.

I take weekly photos to compare the difference in growth. It is hard to notice from day to day.

Myra-love the color! My daughter, grand daughter and I are thinking about doing something electric blue to celebrate when I have enough hair.
Here's my hair at 14 weeks PFC. Not quite enough for me to go topless, but getting there.
I've always had long hair. Who knew that I had this hair-tornado thing going on? Certainly not me, but It does explain some styling difficulties I have...

I have hair thinning due to Letrozole. Hairstylist told me use woman's rogain. Does snyone know if there is a reason not to use it being on hormonal meds. ?

ocmdcat... You're not alone, I also started shedding about 14 days after I started AC treatment. Since the forecast called for 97 degrees & ridiculous humidity, I shaved it off & had a few areas with stubble, it never fell out & I left it alone, rubbed coconut oil on my scalp, daily. I began taxol treatment and started taking biotin 2 weeks ago which is a vitamin for hair skin, nails. I have 3 treatments of taxol left & I have a nice even patch of fuzz growing. Not enough to go without the wig but I can't tell you how excited I am to see it growing. I'm hoping that in 4-6 weeks I may have enough to go without a wig, I also miss my hair. I hear massaging your scalp daily is good, and my stylist gave me a shampoo to stimulate hair growth. Good luck and hang in <

I am 5 weeks PFC. Sometime in between my surgery ten days ago and today (I haven't worn any makeup in that time), my remaining few eyelashes fell out, and now i have a row of stubble under each upper lid.
I have started wearing nothing in my head now: with my eyebrows drawn on and a bit of eye makeup, I don't look sick anymore, just like I have had a bad haircut.0 -
smile I did until they were too sparse to bother. I just asked to be very careful to not remove any of my actual brow, just the stray hairs below.
Ocmdcat I had grew stubble throughout. I shaved it because I went bareheaded and preferred it smooth.

Good news for me I suppose.. here I am 11 months PFC and suddenly I am feeling like my old self. What do you mean I have to shave my legs every time I shower??? i actually have an eyebrow on one side, partial eyebrow on the other... i have eye lashes, though they are kinna stubby... :-) i have about 2-3 inches of hair on my head and the curls are finally starting to relax.. i will wait another two weeks for my next hair cut and am considering letting it grow in.... it's a very happy and very sad time all at once.. if you know what I mean. I've been waiting so long to feel normal but I know my old normal will never be so I have to find my new normal... on a lighter note, my work outs are going really really well.. there is always HOPE
