Lord, You are everything to me. Thank You that

I can walk each moment with you and not have

to figure life out on me own. And when I come to

a dark time, I can put my hands in Yours and depend

on You as we walk through it together. I know that "the

upright shall dwell in your presence." (Psalm 140:13),

and that's where I want to live. For Your presence I

will find healing, deliverance, love, peace, joy and hope.

Lord, help me to embrace the moments of my life that

are hard to get my arms around. Enable my eyes to see

You in them. Help me to always acknowledge the abundance

of Your goodness to me. I lift to You the deepest struggles

in my life. I trust You to open my eyes to see all You have

for me in them. Reveal to me the fullness of it all. Thank

You that I can be filled with the joy of Your presence in every

step I take, Because You are my light. Amen

Count it all joy when you fall into various trails,

knowing that the testing of your faith produces

patience's. But let patience have its perfect work,

that you may be perfect and complete,

    lacking nothing.  James 1:2-4

    Wait on the Lord;

    Be of good courage,

    And He shall strengthen

    your heart. Psalm 27: 1-4

I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me... For when I am weak, then I am strong.                 - 1Corinthians 12:9-10

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. - Psalm 91:15

My Lord, Father, Protector, Christ Jesus, I lift up my eyes to behold your wonder as I send up prayers of need.  I ask that you would surround little Lila with your tender touch to make this trial bearable for her and the family.  Give them the strength to wait on your healing power.

Dear Jesus, we ask you to look upon Tobi as I lift her up to you and ask for her to be strengthened in her walk.  Please hear her prayers and lead and guide her in her struggle against the physical challenges she is facing.  Give her the wisdom in finding the resources to assist her in the selection of the proper balance of nourishment needed to protect her health.

Tobi, can your Onc refer you to a nutritionist to speak about your eating fears?  There's also a "healthy..." thread here that might be able to give you some pointers.  Many BC survivors do eat dairy and meat (I do) but it's individual for each of us according to our health and beliefs.   Please continue to pray as that is where you will get much of your strength.  Read God's Word daily as well.  We know that He works in His own time, but, more importantly, He does work and answer prayer.  Please come here often when you are feeling down.  Also feel free to PM me and the others (yes, I'm speaking for them) on this board, for support and prayer.

Tobi....my Dr. has never told me anything I could or could not eat!   I eat exactly the way I ate before cancer.   I feel if it's gonna come back.....it will.....and look at all that good food I could have had if I give any of it up.  I love to eat.....

One thing I try to avoid is the soy.  Simply because of being ER+.  I think when I hit menopause......and my  hormone levels went crazy.....that had MORE to do with the cancer than anything else did.  I'm also a firm believer our environment plays a HUGE role in cancer.  The additives, preservatives and chemicals they put in our food and water.

I too have a horrible fear of cancer coming back.....but it's not because of the what I'm eating or not eating.  I agree with Patoo that you should ask a dietitian if its something you feel strongly about.  Maybe that would ease your mind a little bit.

    hugs and prayers

Hi foots.  Sorry you are still having a hard time.  When you get some strength please PM me with specific prayer request so I can continue to intercede on your behalf.

Tobi, this is a difficult walk and the stress of it will also contribute to your weight loss.  If you have stopped eating some foods simply because you feel they may have caused your cancer then that in itself may be part of the problem.  If you are not getting the nourishment through other foods and/or supplements, you will lose weight.  In all things there must be balance.   I wholeheartedly agree with Genia that more than anything else our environment caused our cancer - but we can't stop breathing the air or prevent our being around people and substances that may not be good for us.

Hope this helps somewhat and you can push yourself to move on.  Our Father did not give us a spirit of fear; He tells us to hold on to His promises - they are the only thing infallible in our life.

    Blessings.

ago almost 1thousand5hundred. I pay from my own wraps now. Then my

denture broke and on and on, I am getting ready for the Relay for life Friday.

Cancer appt old Dr 20, and then birthday alone. I just wish I could start getting

my eggs all in a row. I will be back later, didnt sleep good have a migirine.

But Life is Good and God is great. Hugs Debbie

Dear Lord God Father I petition for Debbie to regain her strength and for her faith to not falter.  We know that these things are all temporary and where we see no way, you will make a way.  Let her know that though she may be alone physically she has many spiritual sisters and she has you so she will NOT be alone on her birthday.  Teach us all to give it up to you Lord and to leave our cares and worries where they belong, the altar.

Jesus, I send up prayers for all my sisters whereever they may be on these boards.  I know that many may never come here but my prayers are also for them.  Please accept my intercessory prayer for them Lord that you will touch each of them in an extraordinary way that they may know your grace and mercy.

In the precious name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.

Lord, I lift to You the situations of my life that

concern me. I lay my worries before you and

ask for Your mighty intervention to show me

what's right when I can only see what's wrong.

I am determined to see the good, so help me

not to be blinded by my own fears, doubts, wants,

and preconceived ideas. I ask You to reveal to me

Your truth in every situation. Give me Your perspective.

Bless me with ability to understand the bigger picture

and to distinguish the valuable from the unimportant.

When somethings  seems to go wrong, help me not

to jump to negative conclusions. Enable me to recognize

the answers to my own prayers, I trust You to help me

    see the light. Amen

Ladies- always remember to have faith for everything will work out. Maybe not as we think it should, but as He wants it to. And that way is always better than we could have thought.

Please help us to be still and hear the quiet voice guiding our way through the difficulties. Please help us to know and remember that we are where we are meant to be and that we are never alone. For not only are You are with us, we are surrounded by the angels and saints we call friends that you have put in our path.

I pray today that we feel your presence in our lives and draw strength from that.

And not two sparrows sold for a copper coin?

And not one of them falls to the ground apart

from your  Fathers will. But  the very hairs of your

head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you

are of more value than many sparrows Matthew 10:29-31

    God Knows

    When you are tired

    and discouraged from

    fruitless efforts....

    God knows how hard

      you have tried.

    When you've cried so long

and your heart is in anguish..

    God has counted your tears.

If you feel that your life

    is on hold

and time has passed you by...

    God is waiting with you.

    When you are lonely

and your friends are too busy

    even for a phone call....

    God is by your side.

When you think you've tried everything

and don't know where to turn..

    God has a solution.

    When nothing makes sense

    and you are confused

    or frustrated...

    God is the answer.
